Silos Across The Fighting Stars:

The doors of the Silos across the nation slowly opened and fell silent deep within the earth a man hit a huge red button and all of a sudden a massive burst of energy propelled the massive missiles high into the sky at Orbit they split up and fell down back to earth within a few seconds the Free Dominion of Vetaka would cease exist.

OOC: Ouch... But missle shield is what every country has, so probably only 20 % would make it through.

OOC: Um, isn't that a lot of nuclear missle's for a young nation? Heck, I don't have any good amount yet? That would be godmodding, I'd venture to say.

OOC: Well, Vetaka doesn't have to agree to this, but I would bet anything that he has a good missile defense system. Everybody does. And, as if you needed another person telling you, you could only afford this many nukes if you'd spent all your time since your nation's founding buying and producing materials for them.

Guys... everyone chill out. You don't need to clutter this thread by saying, "I am X size, and I only have X missiles." Let Vetaka decide what he wants to do.

Well, then clearly you're spending it on other things, even assuming you're both using the same calculator, which as TSS pointed out is not always the case. Five nukes (regardless of whether you're talking massive MIRV-bearing ICBMS or itty bitty suitcase nukes) is hardly pushing it. So this 'five nukes' thing is a result of your choice, not a lack of money.

Deep underground, somwhere in Allanea

“At my command… launch!”

Immediately, above ground near Vetaka, a dozen Aries and 30 Cyclops ABM satellites opened fire. Between them, they fired 120 ABM rockets and 360 ABM laser bursts at the incoming missiles – and they had only about 400 targets.

But this was not everything. From the Allanean orbital combatant warships*, 50 Brilliant Pebble-carring rockets were carried, peppering the path of incoming MIRV’s with about 300 guided, kinetic-impact rockets.

Then, they fired Xasers at the survivors.

After that, the Allanean Ocelot warships fired 20 nuclear 3.5 megaton charges into the path of the surviving missiles, aiming to vaporize them or disable them with neutron flux.

In total, about 780 various weapons, not counting Xaser bursts, were carried at the 400 target missiles, and that was not everying.

From the Allanea warships in Haven, 500 Praetorian IV ABM missiles were fired, to intercept the surviving craft.

The total was up to 1,280 weapons fired at 400 targets.

Whatever survived that was up to the Vetakans to deal with.

The Allaneans did what they could.

OBSAT Joint Air Defence Space Command, Classified Location, Vetaka:

The OBSAT Joint Air Defence Space Command was a massive complex deep within the Rogers Mountain Range the nerve centre of Vetakan Defences the Joint Command co-ordinated Vetakan Air Defences on a daily basis. Built into the massive mountains the complex designed to withstand anything that could be thrown at it also incorporated self sustainable systems. Today it was a usually boring posting was an understatement the most excitement the People of the Complex got was when the Mess Hall served a different pudding however all that was about to change as all of a sudden the Red Alert Alarms and Klaxons began to roar. Blast Doors began to lower as the base began to shut itself off ready to withstand a potential blast. Bursting through the Command Room Doors a tired looking Base Commander under the name of Graham Johnson or "Jonny" for short began barking:

"Report Damnit I was sleeping?"

"Red Alert. Inbound Missile Storm OBSAT Calculations Confirm a total of 646 Missiles. Sir." replied an Officer

"Shit Point of Origin?" barked Jonny

"The Fighting Stars" replied the Officer

"OBSAT Confirmation of Targets, Courses Locked" shouted an Officer

"Engage Emergancy Protocals. Secure the President and the Senior Staff. Do we have Interception Systems Locked?" ordered Jonny.

Across the nation in Schools, Office Blocks and Streets Air Raid Sirens began to Sound the people whom had practiced the various procedures began to run for Nuclear Shelters, Children dived under desks and the Emergancy Services began to prepare for the worst. Back in the Command Room:

"Intercept Systems are Online Sir" shouted an Officer

"Fire" roared Jonny from Across the Room

With that Vetakan Silos across the nation along with Scrambled Fighters fired a huge barrage of Interception Missiles roaring away from their launch assets they began to hit intercept and destroy the various Inbound Nuclear Missiles however 646 Missiles was alot to Intercept and although OBSAT was an impressive Defence System it would just take 1 Nuclear Weapon to kill Millions back in the Command Room things where not good:

"645 Missiles Intercepted and Destroyed. Sir 1 got through and has detonated" spoke a teary eyed female Officer.

Princess City:

The destruction was total Princess City a city of a population of some 7 Million had just disappeared Millions had died Billions would mourn. With the infrastructure destroyed the Vetakan Army response was swift quickly deploying they began to search through the wreckage and do what they could either way Millions had perished and the Vetakan Population wanted Blood.

OOC: Any thanking me for my help? :D Also 200 of his bombs are air-dropped, I have no clue how he delivered them.

SIC Transmission to Vetaka:

Friend and Ally, we believe that it is time to strike back at these fools. The Kampferian First Fleet is currently waiting off of the Shazbotdom controlled FreeAngola coast, and can move at a moments notice. The Kampferian Third Army is also mobilized and can be used to strike against these foolish warmongers. Let us show them the true force of who they are dealing with. With your permission, my friend, my troops will move in on The Fighting Stars.

The Kampferian First Fleet began to move. They were no longer needed to blockade FreeAngola anyways. The least they could do was be in position when the go ahead from Vetaka came.

It was with suprise that a lowly intern burst into the meeting room with a sheet of paper, the message he delivered however was dire.

Intern:"Sirs a nation known as The Fighting Stars launched and detonated at least one nuclear device in Vetaka."
Navy Commander:"..."
Army Commander:"..."
Special Ops commander:"..."
Air force commander:"..."
Missile Commander:"How many made it through?"
Intern:Anti-missile defenses deployed by Allanea and Vetaka managed to stop most of them... But one made it through."
Missile Commander: "Casulties?"
Intern: "It was a direct hit on a city."
Army Commander:"Dear god..."
Naval Commander:"We need to help them, we'll need to send some supplies.
Missile Commander:"Can we strike back?"
Army Commander:"What?"
Missile Commander:"Can we strike back."

Everyone in the room paused, unsure of what to do.

WHAT THE HELL! General Secretary Charles Lind saw the reports streaming in, both from OBSAT and other sources, that The Fighting Stars had launched a nuclear first strike against Vetaka. Although their OBSAT defenses had performed up to usual snuff, indeed beyond according to current data; that wasn't good enough for Princess City.

"Just what I said..." Deadpanned the Deputy Defense Secretary. "Princess City, and some seven million Vetakans with it, is gone. Naturally the coming GUSN exercises are... well, 'not looking good'. OBSAT has identified the origin reliably enough. It's those same idiots who keep attacking Vetaka like this: The Fighting Stars.

Also, interestingly, the Allaneans have gone pretty full-pelt in defending Vetaka. I say we thank them, since technically they were doing our job after all." General Secretary Lind's nanopoint-sharp look at that silenced the Deputy Defense Secretary right away. "Now I don't know how far you're willing to take this, and might not want to. But still Comrade... your orders?"

Lind stared at the Secretary with almost incredulity. "What do you think?" His tone was an alloy of two related things: rage, and vengeance. "Order us to DEFCON 1; also, general mobilization just in case anybody tries to take advantage of this. Get whatever nuclear forces you can ready: subs out to sea in reserve, but I want bombers over TFS airspace and I wanted them there last minute! Our ally needs our aid. And I'd like to have the commission of the OBSAT monitor at Pinkybrain Atoll who screwed this up to where we couldn't fire our own ABMs in time; we've failed our ally, and I don't want to ever again!" Charles Lind then simply turned his face almost into an ashen mask; clearly, he was done dealing with The Fighthing Stars as anything other than a beaten down and conquered ex-state. He'd never stoop to genocide, of course not; but that didn't mean he would play nice either with these imbeciles who'd attacked his ally for the LAST time...

Air and Naval Bases Across Wagdog
While 90% of the bomber force would need arming with nukes if it was to participate in this strike, 10% was at present deemed sufficient given what little was known of The Fighting Stars' defenses. And of course, that amounting to 100 Tu-160M Blackjack-B supersonic bombers, that 10% was still quite a substantial force. Each armed with 12 Kh-55SM 'Kent-B' nuclear ALCMs and 24 Kh-15 'Kickback' SRAMs in their two cavernous bomb bays, originally intended for larger munitions by far such as the AS-19 'Koala' cruise missile, these one-hundred bombers took to the skies to link up with Il-78M Midas tankers at the edge of Wagdog's airspace. Escorted by FA-15D Cardinals, these tankers would help the bombers 'top up' before making their final runs in against TFS nuclear and counter-nuclear forces.

Meanwhile, although 15 were already at sea, the remainder of the 50 Konstantin class SSBNs that constituted the other leg of Wagdog's nuclear forces frantically summoned either their Red or Gold crews depending on the boat, and then made to slip from their pens into the mysterious depths of the North Lazarene Sea. Though held in reserve as the ultimate Damocles' Sword to hold over The Fighting Stars' leadership, no illusions were held about whether or not they might need to be used. At this stage of the game, literally anything could happen. As per DEFCON 1, Wagdog's own OBSAT Mk.II and A-135 ABM systems were also on full alert, ready for any TFS or other retaliation.

Also, all leaves were cancelled and servicemen rushed to the colors and their arms. Preparing them would of course take time, more time even than to sortie First and Third Fleets for action while Second and Fifth rendered aid to Vetaka and Fourth remained in strategic reserve. Second and Fifth Marine Divisions, in Vetaka ever since the Swan Rebellion, immediately joined the VDF in searching for survivors and treating those they could; although at a mere two divisional battalions' worth their medical capacity would obviously be overwhelmed unless the VDF could assist soon. But nonetheless, unless The Fighting Stars proved their usual cowardly selves and surrendered right off, these proud servicemen would avenge their Vetakan brethren in battle. As of now, although nothing had been shot on its part, Wagdog was officially in its first strategic war...

This. Is. IT! Your foul government has yet again proven itself utterly unwilling to abide by international rules or even common decency. Suffice it to say, you have just signed the Death Warrant of your regime; and my forces intend to carry out sentence.
Hence, I advise you to surrender now, otherwise I shall burn in nuclear fire that which you seem to value most. Your regime? Gone. Your Forces? Blasted. And your Independence? But a memory as my troops storm through your ruins and complete the Judgment you have brought upon yourselves.
On a lighter note, from the bottom of my heart I wish to thank our friends in Allanea for their valiant efforts in defending the Vetakan people. I assure you, this means every bit as much to me as the Questarian support to Vetaka did during their war with the Clandonians; and you have done much to tilt my nation's opinion of yours still more in your favor as a result.
But alas, we must do our duty even if it is utterly repellent under most standards of consideration. Remember, The Fighting Stars: Surrender NOW, or else I shall unleash the utmost fury of my nation upon you; fully equal to that of our sworn Vetakan brethren. You have one full day to decide; do so wisely...

Princess City Nuked; Millions Dead!!!
12 Phoenix Militants missing, 2 confirmed dead.
In a shocking surprise attack, Princess City in Vetaka was vaporized by a nuclear strike. The previously unheard of nation "The Fighting Stars" is to blame for the deaths of 7 million innocents, including a number of Phoenix Miltia citizens in a vastly irresponsible misuse of nuclear deterrent forces. Field Marshall Seville took a break from NEATO negotiations to express his condolences and condemn the attacks as well as announce that The Phoenix Milita's embassy is being evacuated. Although the Field Marshall did not answer questions after giving his statement, an inside source says that this attack and the loss of Militant life takes Vetaka out of the running for Phoenix Dynamix expansion which is sure to hurt after taking a loss like the one that was felt today.

We in the Kingdom of SaintB are alarmed by the atrocious attack launched against your people by Fighting Stars. We offer you aid in the form of military and civillian personell as well as supplies to help with any refugess from Princess City.

As we know you are a peace loving nation much like our own I would urge you to proceed with a cool and level head, do what you can to prevent meeting the same atrocities to the civillian population of Fighting Stars that they have met upon you but show no mercy to those who are in charge. Give no quarter to the soldiers who fight against you and most importantly bring the destruction of Princess City to vengeance.
