This is a horror rp, sign-up if you're interested. This thread is mainly for discussion. This is not a zombie/survival/horro thread!
The forests and mountains of Maine are idealic and picturesque. It is a humble state with a small population. The quiet and isolated town of Arberry is just like any other small town. It's nestled against the banks of the Penobscot River, a healthy amount of miles off of Interstate 95. Everyone knows everyone and there are no secrets between anyone...most anyways. Some things are left from the mind, never mentioned. Old stories that surround the mountains and forests, creeks and banks. One day during scenic autumn, a group of hunters go missing. An investigation and search for these men is conducted but yield no results. A week after the search is called off, one of the missing hunters turns up, half-crazed in Arberry. It is a miracle! Or so the townspeople thought. During the night, something begins to happen. Over the course of several days, citizens begin to disappear or end up dead, mutilated. Baffled, the local authorities are desperate for answers. An aspiring cryptozoologist hears of this plight and travels to the town to make sense of it all. What he uncovers is shocking, and deadly. Something is affecting the people of Arberry. It is a sinister and savage force that threatens to consume the small town if something is not done. Will the small town survive? Or will it be consumed in a frenzy of death?
