BL fleets advance on Cazelia

After the Cazelian president assaulted Deputy PM Iunctus Wellington, Londinian fleets have begun a blockade of Cazelia.

The Ministry of Defence has informed the press that the blockade fleet consists of twenty carriers, one hundred and forty destroyers, one hundred frigates, sixty submarines, and forty minesweepers, as well as an unspecified amount of "floating warehouses" and supply vessels.

In addition, over one million soldiers are stationed with the blockade fleet in armed troopships some distance away.

At the same time, dozens of orbital bombardment satellites began targeting Cazelian missile silos, launching over one hundred tungsten rods, which hurtled into said silos at speeds in excess of 54,000 kph.

"Cazelia has twelve hours to surrender unconditionally to the Londinian Armed Forces," stated PM Sir Alistair Davidson. "Resistance will not only be futile, it will be the end of their independence and existence as they know it."

Cazelians attack BL blockade

Cazelian missiles were launched at the Londinian armada surrounding the nation, sinking seven supply vessels and one frigate.

Concurrently, the Londinian Legio IX Victoraceti, composed of one million soldiers, has landed on the beaches of Cazelia and is engaging in a furious march on the capital.

People's Air Force bombers have detonated over six hundred Massive Ordinance Air Bombs over major cities in Cazelia, whilst squadrons of supersonic jets have made low-altitude flybys over the nation, creating large numbers of sonic booms during the night.

"We are not unreasonable," commented Londinian PM Sir Alistair Davidson. "But if Cazelia does not surrender unconditionally forthwith, the nation will be plunged into an unending cacophony of screams during the impending occupation."

Article: Census says citizens sick of BL warmongering

The Peoples Freedom City, TPF- A recent census conducted by the Daily shows that more than sixty percent are sick of BL 'warmongering'

Reportedly, the continued, and seemingly random declarations of war have made the populations angry, especially considering the horrors the civilian population had to go through at the hands of the Freeks. The Blogs and political message boards are also alight.

There were a number of protests held outside the BL embassy. Police were on the scene and the protest was peaceful.

The government had no comment.

Certainly, British Londinium has declared war not once, but twice within the month. But do not assume that we wage war for the sake of waging war. Cazelia has threatened both British Londinium and our allies with nuclear war. We will not stand for it, and we will put an end to their nuclear aggression.

Furthermore, British Londinium had already established a fragile truce with Cazelia after the initial bombardment, which they broke of their own volition.

Alistair Davidson should probably cease using the letters "Rt." and "Hon." before his name, as he has clearly dispensed with anything resembling "Right or "Honorable" within the content of his character.

British Londinium's warmongering is astounding and pervasive. Truly he reminds those in Arda of the ominous Black Enemy, who pursued a path not wholly unlike that of the Londinian administration. The Londinains have (twice now) brazenly attacked a nation, and used the resulting chaos as political leverage, which is a trick of the dirtiest kind.

Arda cannot stand idly by while people like this press red buttons like moneys and shriek incoherently at diplomatic discourse. British Londinium had better explain itself, double-quick.

Barronian Troops Land In Cazelia

Barronian Mechanized Advanced Guard (MAG) troops landed in Cazelia today, following the governments announcement that they would commit troops to aid British Londinium in quashing the insolent Cazelian leadership.

Over 500,000 Barronian troops landed over the nightfall, and will soon be marching with Londinians to the capital.

The Council for Defense and Warfare announced that "no more would Barronia live under the idle threats of nuclear weaponry - today we show what it means to make threats you cannot keep."

--Landing Zone Alpha, Cazelian Coast--

A lone Barronian Officer stands on the clifftop, rifle in hand. He stands, watching, before speaking into a radio device. Down below, yet another ship beaches, opening two giant frontal doors. TM-3 tanks, recently purchased for just such an operation, begin rolling out from the decks.
Out at sea, several carriers can be seen, and overhead, their cargo screams across the skies.
Civilians so far have offered some resistance, and a detainee camp is being built to hold those who will not "cease and desist".

First, I would like to clarify that we have declared war merely once, this particular war a mere theatre of a larger conflict against the Hegemony. We attack Cazelia out of concern for global security. In a number of disputes, ranging from economic to territorial, Cazelia has consistently used war as the first and only option of dealing with the problem. More than once, nuclear weapons have been pointed at British Londinium by Cazelian hands, and we, quite frankly, are tired of it.

British Londinium Declares War on Cazelia; Cazelian Government Denies Nuclear Posturing

Following repeated Cazelian threats and posturing which has, in the past, affected our own sovereign nation, the government of Sir Alistair Davidson has finally buckled to internal pressure from Londinian military chiefs. As of yesterday, a state of war has existed between the two nations with Barronian forces allying themselves with the Londinians.

Cazelia's military and civilian infrastructure has taken "a serious battering" according to locals, while the Cazelian government has apparently forgone any real attempt to defend itself militarily other than to "plead shamelessly for international aid" as one Atopian intelligence officer said.

These pleas have, it appears, had some effect - rumours are circulating amongst the Cazelian press corps that a large and powerful nation has begun to bring diplomatic pressure to bear against the Londinan-Barronian alliance.

It must be said that the repeated and unwarranted acts of aggression from Cazelian forces have brought this upon themselves, and the Megalopolis Times was told by a senior Imperial officer that "despite the state we're in ourselves following the Black Day, we've been put on 24 hour alert to be ready to aid the Londinians."

My dear and most honorable Mr. Kit!

While observing your intervention in the Cazelia-British Londinium affair, we are forced to wonder, after the fashion of Hamlet: 'What's Hecuba to him, or he to Hecuba, That he should weep for her?' In other terms – why should the Five Kingdoms concern itself with the bothersome rat-scurrying of nations such as British Londinium and Cazelia?

Admittedly, we believe that the Londinians are in the right – again and again, the Cazelian have violated agreements with them, again and again they have behaved irresponsibly. But beyond that, we believe it is bizarre that mighty nations such as the Five Kingdoms should involve themselves with the concerns of such third- or fourth- world states. Aquila non captat muscas.

Personally, I believe that we should leave these people be, let them hash it out, Darwinism style – let the fit alone survive. Our nations should intervene only where we can see our direct self-interest in the struggle, for our economies, national security, or the advancement of our ideology.

What can the Five Kingdoms achieve there? Does it wish to conquer the land of British Londinium? Does it, perhaps, wish to use it's economic resources? Does it have an ideology – communism, anarchism, objectivism, Catholicism – to impose on the Londinians? Does it see the fledgling nation – that actually depends on NATO for it's protection from anything bigger then a fruitfly – as a threat to it's security? Of course not! To even claim that would be laughable!

Should the Five Kingdoms intervene in that conflict, and a single Kingdoms soldier be killed, wouldn't this be too much loss in a conflict in which your nation stands nothing to gain? Wouldn't it be a waste to spend one dime of money on such an enterprise?

As such, we would like to repeat our previous advice: Neque aquila neque lupus muscas captat.

Wonderful. As such, the 10-mile stretch of Cazelian territory that we wish to claim will be 5 miles either side of our landing zone. (OOC: Assume south coast).

Rest assured, if your citizens desire, they will be given free passage out. We would suggest that they do in the British Londinium territory - we do not believe they would be fond of internment proceedings.

We thank you for the Cazelian Guard, who will be trained in the Barronian Arts of War, and will be returned as the permanent garrison of our new territory.
