TENDER

The Federation of Oily Prata, Recently Coming out of a bloody Civil war for freedom from our Homeland from Our Vicious Oppressors, Realizes that Defense is a major Issue and would like to issue out a tender for

A. Strike Fighter/Bomber to be based around these specifications

This Fighter Must Be Able to cruise at Supersonic speeds for an extended period of time. It must also be equipped with all the latest electronic system and be able to handle start of the art ordinance like missiles and Laser Guided Bombs.

B. Missile Destroyer

This Missile Destroyer must be fast, and have at least some protection from enemy RADAR and SONAR, and be able to launch a variety of ship to air, ship to surface and ship to ship ordinance.

C. Self Propelled Artillery

This Piece of Self Propelled artillery must be able to fire rounds with caliber of at least 155MM and be easy to move around.

It is my pleasure to submit to you a responce from Crookfur Arms regarding your recetn request for tenders.
On your destroyer requirement we would like to put forward our Gertrude Flight IIE class Destroyer for consideration. The Gretrude IIE is a multi role design capable of engaging most threats and targets with a particuaolr emphasis on air defence. The Gertrude was design from the begining to use the latest in signature reduction techniques with the hull and upper superstructre being shaped to present a much reduced radar cross section. In terms of acoustic signature reduction the 2 main shafts each have a five bladed outwardl;y pointing screw and the interior of the hull is lined with acosutic insullation amterial. Additionally an optional towed transducer and air gun (TAG) decoy cna be supplied.

For your Self propelled gun requirement we woudl present to you the Scoundrel light self propelled gun, details of which cna be found here (http://z8.invisionfree.com/Crookfur_Arms/index.php?showtopic=6). While the brochure lists a 6" gun the Scoundrel can also be supplied with either 155mm or 160mm gun systems of similar performance.

A question,can the Scoundrel system be fitted with additional secondary weapons besides the pintle gun?

it woudl really depend on what sort of additional secodnary weapons would be required, a remotely operated weapons station could be fitted and such an isntalltion would be able to fit weapons up to 20mm cannon size with common options being 25mm-40mm grendade launchers or a vareity of heavy machine guns. Anything heavier would msot likely be at best impractical to mount. While not directly lsited the Scoundrel is supplied with two 4 tube grenade launchers for the laying of smoke screens.
