Should nation A be able to deploy troops from nation B..if Nation B decides to be nation that doesn't RP..I see it the same as puppet wanking..

No, I agree with you.
The result will be the same as with puppetwanking. A different thing is if a player leaves the control over a batallion or a fleet to an ally, but you cannot RP an inactive players forces.

well its not technically godmodding..because they aren't making up forces out of thin air just their using forces from nations that choose not to rp at all..now if a nation got on and said I give you military control over blah blah that would be different

Yes, that is godmodding, because you can only control your own nation. Even if you get permisison from Nation B its still bad etiquette.

This is about the Hegemony, isn't it?

In the case of the Hegemony, tell sumguy to have the nations' armies he is using to post. Then you know he would not be puppetwanking.
Gataway
18-06-2007, 00:25
Yes it is..I find it annoying that I have to deal with like 12 nations armies when only like 4 of them are active at all..and the inactive ones don't even rp so how am I supposed to fight them..yet they can send forces against me via Sumguy thats BS
The PeoplesFreedom
18-06-2007, 00:26
Like I said, tell him to make them post showing they are active. If they don't post, he cannot use their armies.
Greston

Some of them don't post because they can't, not because they don't want to. But for the puppeting, your right that is BS.And if war does come between the Hege and you, in a OOC: post say if you are going to plat as another nation make them post once so you know they are not puppets.

thats what i'm doing..and just to make sure he gets it..Im using a thread to show em the entire international community says no...and wow me and questers FINALLY agreed on something..hell must have frozen over :p..how can you not post....?

If you are new, and you haven't gotten the acception email for the forums. Half of the alliance joined through TGs. They didn't and can't post on the forums.

it takes like 24 hours to approve a post..and that only lasts a few days or so before u can post regularly...the entire alliance has been around long enough to be able to post..the Heg can only use troops from active members no debate about it

Wait, wait. I don't know the exact situation that this is about, but hypothetically, if you have a base with troops in someone else's nation, why wouldn't you be allowed to deploy from there?

Clearly if you don't have troops there to begin with, you would have to first to deploy to Nation B... for whatever good that would do. But if you have established that you have forces in Nation B, then you should be allowed to use them.

No no no..not using your own troops...Nation A is Using nation b's troops...not its own troops inside nation b...

I say it's bad form. I mean, where does it stop? Next thing you know we'll have people RPing military forces from nations that don't even post on the forums.

If nation B wants to fight a war without actaully RPing it, I say tough noogies. I fell for that garbage a couple of times back in the day, but I don't plan on putting up with it anymore, personally.

thats what's happening right now with the Hegemony...an alliance with only like 4 nations that have ever posted on the forums

lol so now the Heg only consists of Lord Sumguy, Greston, Greal, Northern Calvares and I think Cazelia?

Oh... probably should have phrased it differently, but I seem to be the only one who misunderstood.

In that case, while it isn't god modding if Nation B agrees, it is generally bad form.
