In light of this I, Lord Klash, wish to open talks with other civilisations regarding alliances and trade. Amplicon is minerally rich and we can offer these for the right price. To Lord Klash and the government of the nation of Amplicon.

On behalf of Prime Minister Jacobi and Her Royal Majesty Queen Carina I, and the Bretonian people, I would like to offer you formal greetings to the interstellar community. The emergence of a new country on the interstellar stage that does not incorporate some kind of evil megalomaniac intent on the destruction of all life, or some-such cliche, is always a welcome sight indeed.

In relation to your message, this government would be pleased to send an Ambassador to your proceedings for the purposes of trade creation, with a view to establishing a customs union of some sort between our two countries. As a chief exporter of heavy machinery, mined materials and manufactured goods I am certain there are a number of Bretonian companies which would be eager to trade with a fast-growing country such as yours. We are quite significant proponents of free interstellar trade and peaceful coexistence where appropriate, and our ambassador would be authorised to make deals to this effect. Perhaps if these talks progress well the seeds of an alliance may be sown, but I am sure you understand that we know so little about each other, that such a promise so early in our formal relationship would be foolhardy at best.

On your authorisation, the HMS Ulysses, our chief diplomatic craft, will be dispatched post haste to Amplicon, carrying Ambassador Rachel Harper. Our experts have estimated based on the data package you sent that travel time from Bretonia to Amplicon is roughly five solar days at recommended cruising speed, so the sooner the better.

I look forward to hearing good results from these discussions, and once again bid you good tidings for the future.

Amplicon is delighted that you have an interest in trade with us. We authorise the visit of Ambassador Rachel Harper to begin talks of trade and hopefully an alliance. We understand the caution you exercise knowing so little about us but we can now guarantee safety as the Amplicon Troubles have ended.

Once your craft enters our space territory we wil send two Galcatic Class Fighters to escort the ambassador down to the planet. We offer this as standard security to any ships carrying VIPs. We are open to Bretonian companies who wish to develop on our planet as we wish for an open market.
