Koenwitz Seeks Naval Vessels
Koenwitz

Army of Koenwitz
The Armed Republic of Koenwitz is not renowned for its maritime history. The country's first and only major battleship was scuttled by rebellious workers before it was put to sea. Currently we have no naval assets whatsover, bar our small merchant fleet which must be converted to serve the Army in times of dire need - with the obvious detrimental effects on trade. Following our recent, and unsuccessful deployment to Boico we have found that the requirement for a navy has become more pressing than we had previously thought.
The Army wishes to purchase used or (relatively cheap) new naval vessels in order to expand its maritime assets and create a new Naval Corps. We are looking for:
*Pocket Battleships
*Aircraft Carrier (just the one)
*Landing Ship Tank
*Landing Craft Infantry
We look forward to hearing any offers from interested nations.
Respectfully,
Colonel-General Herbet Dienst
Chief Quartermaster

OOC: Have you tried storefronts? HDI, Imperial Shipyards, etc? Running a search usually works. Oh, and there's generally an 8-line limit on signatures. Yours isn't that far over, and I can't imagine it'll attract the mods that much, but that's just to let you know.

Subject: Defense contracts
Dear Colonel-General Herbet Dienst,
The Portland Iron Works (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=457777) would be most glad to provide military contracts to the Armed Republic, namely, for the aircraft carrier and the pocket battleship.
For that, we present to you the Victory-class nuclear-powered trimaran aircraft carrier (http://z14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=9&view=findpost&p=3897796). It has served the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy, renowned to be one of the finest naval forces this entire planet has ever seen. As for a "pocket battleship"...the Portland Iron Works, believing your definition of a pocket battleship to be similar of olden days, though if this is incorrect, please do inform us: I present the Sea-class nuclear-powered guided missile battlecruiser (http://z14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=4&view=findpost&p=3897543).
That stated, I eagerly await your government's response to the Portland Iron Works' proposals.
Yours Sincerely,
The Office of the Head of Portland Iron Works - Southeast Asia

Re: Vessels & defence contracts
The government will have to temporarily decline the offer of the Victory-class carrier, enticing though it is, as the cost of this ship will consume the entirety our current military budget. The pocket battleship-type vessel you offer also appears enticing, but we would prefer it to be fitted with conventional or old-style naval armaments rather than guided missiles - i.e. batteries of heavy guns of 280mm+ calibre - such as those on the Hogsingrad cruiser (which is also out of our budget). Is it possible to fit the Sea-Class Cruiser with this weaponry or do you have another vessel that has such equipment?
Respectfully,

Phoenix Dynamix would like to bid on your aircraft carrier contract. We currently have 3 carriers we fell are suitable.
CVN-1 Phoenix Class Aircraft Carrier
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/phoenixclasscarrier.jpg
The all new upgraded Phoenix Class Aircraft carrier is even more deadly than before, and can be configured to carry even more aircraft than previous versions. The Phoenix Class can defend itself from submarines and destroyer, and also attack larger vessels such as cruisers and it can even hit shore targets. All this without the use of its 90+ aircraft!!! Of course its main role is to provide a base for combat aircraft, which it does exceptionally well.
