As I grow more and more serious about my career in the film industry, I'm going to have to spend a greater amount of time around the film business and less around play for the next few years if I intend to get anywhere in that field (as it is, it is a very demanding business and difficult to make any career out of without lots of practice and job-hunting skillz). Building up connections in the industry (I have at least... One so far) to get a job is also essential and takes up a lot of time, time I'd end up wasting (kinda) on NS. So, in essence this will be my last summer on NS.

At the very least, I'm considering the possibly that I'll probably return if I go nowhere, or if I need to improve my creative liberties (especially if NS2 comes out soon... Hurry it up Max!) or if I find I have enough time on my hands to get involved again.

So, as to the semi-open sign up- the story is as follows:

Once construction RP of AI Imperius (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=524559) is complete, the end of the Huntarian Realm (both the Empire and Alliance, and the Kirtir and Malkir) is at hand. If you want a very broad idea, combine the consequences of the Cylon attack on the human colonies, and Skynet. Almost total annihilation of the Huntarian People, a few survivors from each faction but enough to begin anew and start over leaving room for me to return if and when I decide too.

If you're interested in helping the Huntarians escape to safety, or to attempt to retake and hold any system under huntarian control (either Alliance or Empire) you're onboard. Allying with AI Imperius is not an option in this case.

Sorry to see you go :( but if there is some RP about it, I'd (probably) love to be onboard.

As the post states, there will be an RP of epic proportions and consequences. I don't plan to go out in a whimper like my friend Kyanges did... Or Talaax, or Yukitania, or Neo Zeta... (whatever happened to those guys anyways??)

Probably a bit of both. Initially I'll help evacuate the Huntarians, but once I see that various systems are up for grabs, I'll probably move in, cleanse them, and then take them for the Wanderjarian Empire under the guise of "Holding them until Huntaerian Return". ;)

To answer your question about which side, I am not really sure I would be definitively helping or taking.

I'd probably want the technology and information that both possess first and foremost, but after that I could probably go for a colony as well as helping some people escape.

We would like to spirit out the business men and scientists which we dealt with in earlier contracts for purchasing the warp drive units, and various small arms -- rail rifle, fusion cannon.

In other words we would like to use our previous contacts to help scientists and engineers escape with their families and colleagues with various technical plans. This would be an espionage type operation as well as special operations.

Well shit. I was beginning to wonder when some of us would fall away as we got older and started careers. It's a darn shame to see you go man.

As always the Abh Empire will be ever present to help with this situation. I still have the Alliance Jedi temples on a couple of my worlds that some of your Jedi-types can flock to those temples for safety. I'll be there to do whatever I can and possibly take a world to keep an eye on all of this.

We might be willing to do some evacuations. Maybe a scientist or seven, but we'd evacuate normal Huntaerians too.

You know the Lincoln Brigade will be there. Also, New Kazakhstan is nearby, so any refugee-types or important persons can flee there.

I can tell you this, the entirety of the Empire of the Five States would be glad to participate in this RP.

The Malkir can take refuge in Coredian space. Likewise, the Kirtir in Tenetian space. It's been great playing with you and I hope your future in the film industry brings much glory and gold to you.

Questions:
1) Can we expect a new sign-up/ooc thread for the RP or is this going to be used?
2) I know you said after the AI thread is completed, but I was wondering when exactly this might begin?
