After her visit to her southern neighbors it was time for another new neighbor to come to Kurona. Latin Byzantines upon moving to Xanadou had sought relations with it's neighbor. Down in the port City, Tomoyo waited anxiously for the Prime Minister's ship to arrive. This was quite exciting, several members of the press were nearby to see this occasion. It was already dawn and the skies were blue. Last night's thunderstorms had her a bit nervous that it would be rainy. "Everything is ready Keiko?" Tomoyo asked her maid servant.
"Yes your majesty."

"Fantastic. Mmm shoot, I should have left earlier, then I could have paid a visit to the Shrines and give prayer."

"Well maybe he would love to attend the Shrines with you."

"You may be right Keiko. And would you please not carry that riffle around with you, it may make him nervouse."

"It's my duty to protect you ma'am."

"You're my maid servant, not my body guard."

"Maid servant or not, I'm just one of your lines of defense."

"Well that must be his ship!"

"Indeed." Tomoyo nodded to the band to start playing. They broke out in the anthem of Latin Byzantines. THey also rose the LB Flag next to the Kuronan Flag.

OOC: The Prime Minister is in Kanami, so I will send an ambassador.

Flora Giustiniani was a descendant of a Genoese family who immigrated to Latin Byzantines (or Latinia) in the 1800's, one of their ancestors fought in Constantinople in 1453 alongside the Emperor. She could speak fluent Genoese as well.

Flora's ship docked at the Kuronan harbour and out came a beautiful young woman holding a briefcase and dressed in diplomatic attire. Flora stepped onto the ground and saw Tomoyo. She bowed respectfully and came towards Tomoyo.

Flora hoped the meeting would go good, perhaps it would go as good for her as the Prime Minister's negotiations in Kanami.

Flora followed Tomoyo into the carriage and looked out the window, seeing the harbor fade away as they went towards the city of Sonomi. Flora thought about the negotiations along the way.

"I am glad to have come here to Kurona. I was chosen to represent my nation because the Prime Minister is in Kanami at the moment and thus cannot make it here."

"Ahh I see. Kanami is our ally so it sounds like you are doing quite well for your selves."

They finally arrived in Sonomi and up to the Royal Palace. "As you can see, Kurona still has a very traditional feel, Sonomi paticularly has a very old Japanese feel to it. This is the Palace, I live here actually, and all business is done here. The Royal Cabinate meets daily. Now the Cabinate is basically the Parliament, the diffrence is simply they are called the Cabinate. They are currently in session right now. Under most circumstances I do preside over the meetings but as you are here, well you get the idea. Now my personal advisors are called Roiyaru Adovaiza." She led them into a private meeting chamber. "Have a seat"

"So why don't you tell me a little about your country. How does your government operate? What's your culture like?"

"Indeed, our government is doing good in terms of diplomacy."

Flora listened to everything that Tomoyo had to say, it was quite interesting information about Kurona's capital, Sonomi and on how the Kurona Government worked. Flora followed Tomoyo into the private meeting chamber and took her seat, opening her briefcase and preparing for the negotiations, hopefully she would do good when discussing diplomacy with these foreign leaders.

"Our government is a constitutional monarchy, with a Emperor and Prime Minister, we also have a Parliament. Our culture is based on the people of the Latin Empire, a nation formed during the Fourth Crusade. Greek, French, Venetian and I believe other languages are spoken in our nation."

"The Prime Minister is the head of government, the Emperor is the head of state. Our government system is modeled along European systems as well. Is there anything else you would like to know?"

"Jousting is one of our sports, it does good in the ratings. My father was an famous jouster in the "National Jousting League", he taught me how to ride a horse and joust, even though there were not any female jousters. The people of my nation vary in careers. Some of them are teachers, or businessmen, or news anchors, I guess it depends on what they want to do in their life."

"The British brought us various sports, they were our nation's "favorite Europeans" during the days of old. There are several things you can do in our nation too, but I do not think I can get into it now, as I see your nation's diplomats arriving."
