Some time has passed since first contact with the Twelve Colonies of Kobol and the contact has begun to bear fruit. A technology exchange allowed both nations to get a great deal out of the agreements and people would hopefully cross the cosmos to see the sights. Hopefully.
Now, though, Vector Industries have gotten its hands on the FTL drive, dubbed simply the Jump Drive and tricked out two ships, a Corellian Corvette and a Victory Star Destroyer with the new technology. The size of the ships are to make sure that a small and large ship could make the transition, folding space from one location to another. They have the standard hyperdrive if something happens, but had to make room for the Jump Drive.
Now, it's almost ready for launch and the company has invited Colonial VIPs to watch the show. Now all that remains is to see if they'll come...

Onboard the Battlestar Galactica, a small raptor began it's docking procedure with the starboard flight pod.
"You have the ball, and the light is green, come on in" the Galactica transmited to the raptor. This raptor was not any ordanary raptor landing, for it contained a special passanger, a operative of the Quorium. As the raptor began to descend, the main landing gear began to buckle, and the raptor slid across the landing pod. The lights inside turned red, as the raptor finally stopped.
The flight pod was immediately retracted, and the emergency responders came running with fire suppression systems. Luckily though, they were not needed. The Raptor door opened, and a young girl no more than 17 years old disembarked. Today was the day the daughter of Galactica had returned.
As she walked out of the raptor, the aging Colonel Tigh walked up to her. She was half scared out of her mind, as she nearly totalled the colonial vessel, her eyes dialated, she raised her hand to salute the XO of the ship.
"You call that a Salute, LT Agathon." Colonel Tigh yelled at her, seemingly having little disregard for the girls well being.
"No... No.. sir" she replied. She soon straightened up and her salute was nearly flawless. As she tried to cope with the stress, his rantings about how she must have learned to fly from her mother, faded... he looked at her in one instance and said, Damn it is good to see you returned. But it was not real, he never said that, instead it was a glancing thought of his. His rant continued, as she stood their and took the verbal abuse. She knew however, from that one brief moment, he was glad to see her.
"The Old man is waiting for you, you had better not keep him waiting, or I will bust your ass back to basic, do you hear me." Colonel Tigh yelled.
Hera smiled, "Yes sir."
"Get moving solider." he barked. She snapped her heals and began towards the Admiral's quarters.
As she walked through the hallways, she had the over whelming sensation of peace, of love... of home. This ship, her birthplace, the only place where her being a half human and half cylon was known, and somewhat accepted. She was taunted everywhere else... a blender was what her and the rest of the hybrids were called, taunted by the human cadates. She knew the truth, she saw it in their minds, and in their futures. She was special, she was different, and she was the future of the colonies.
She walked up to the Admiral's quarters, dressed in her black uniform, that seperated her from the average marine, she was the best, she was an operative of the Quorum.
Come in, she heard from the otherside of the door, a voice that reminded her of a grandfather, if she had one that was. She walked in and saluted, the man behind the desk. For a moment, he did not look up at her, reading many reports from the ship.
The Galactica, a hero of both cylon wars, whose halls held the contriversal peace treaty that still ravaged the colonies to date, who was the very symbol of colonial determinism to survive and overcome, stood on guard in orbit of Caprica. The ship although well armed, had become more of a symbol than a true fighting force, being outclassed by all of the newer battlestars that were in production. But the old lady had plenty of life in her, and Admiral Adama knew it. He loved his ship, and his crew.
The Admiral eventually looked up at the yound pale asian looking girl. She stood there like a statue, saluting him. He slowly took off his glasses and walked over to her. He looked her up and down. "So they did not throw you out of the academy. he responded.
"She looked puzzled." No sir, they told ordered me into the Operative program. she responded with an aragant attitude. She knew this game, his thoughts and motives were superficial. He was trying to bust her "balls" before allowing her to see that he was glad to see her.
Adama held out his hand. "It is great to see you Hera. It has been too long." he smiled.
"Yes sir, she responded."
"What brings an operative to my ship?" Adama asked.
"I have orders sir, from the President himself. The Coredians have seen fit to hold an opening ceremony for their first FTL jump drive test, and they have asked that high level personal from the Colonies attend. The Quorum is too busy bickering out whatever it is politicians argue about, and so they have seen fit that the Galactica, go as a symbol of the Colonies."
"That is fine, but why is it that, you have come here and told me this in person. You could have transmitted it."
"The quorum, she replied has asked that an operative go in their stead. I volenteered. It is not too often I get to go home, she smiled."
"Very well." Adama pressed the spearkers on his phone. "Perpare jump coordinates to the Coredian party."

This is Konoha Control to Battlestar Galactica. On behalf of the Imperial Republic, we accept our thanks and entreat you to join our party.
The plan was a simple one. The Victory Star Destroyer and the Corellian Corvette will make the jump to the capital planet of Jurai and back. The Corvette will also make a riskier atmospheric jump and a jump within the range of an Interdictor Cruiser to test the full capabilities of the Jump Drive as the eggheads have theorized that it, unlike hyperdrives, could be used to jump within a gravity well in an emergency. If the tests are successful, then all new ships will be redesigned to accomodate the Jump Drive and older ships will enter their usual refit schedules to install the device. If not, it's back to the drawing board.
There was one more theory that would need to be tested, but the ability to teleport troops and equipment with a modification of the device will need another several months of tinkering.
Now, it was time.
The Battlestar Galactica was given the coordinates to Jurai so it can follow and make suggestions as necessary, being more experienced than we are with the Jump Drive.
"Hyperdrive online. Juice running from hyper to Jump Drive at normal parameters." The techie in the Corellian Corvette said.
"Great. The Colonial guys said it'd take at least five minutes to warm up that drive." The commander of the ship replied.
"Hmph. For a teleportation device, it certainly has its drawbacks."
"From what I hear though, it has better abilities than a hyperdrive, though."
"We'll see shortly. Hey. Jump drive's activated." The techie glanced at the clock on the dashboard. "Two minutes, thirty seconds."
"That's faster than expected." The commander filed that information away for future reference. "Ok, navicom has the coordinates?"
"Yep."
"Make the jump." He ordered.
The techie pressed a button. The jump drive whirled faster and faster, poking a hole in the fabric of space-time. Then suddenly the planet of Konoha disappeared in a flash of light.
The Victory Star Destroyer followed the Corellian Corvette a moment later...

Onboard the Galactica, Admiral Adama watched the draidus screen, as the Coredian Vessels jumped away.
Sir, Coredian vessels appear to have jumped. We have plot coordinates for Jurai. Lt. Geata responded.
"This appears to have gone well so far, Lt. Gaeta jump."
Hera stood their watching the bussle in the CIC. Today would be a momentous occassion, should everything work correctly. She stood their silent, watching people. She waited, then the feeling overcame her, as if she was in two places at once. She hated it, but it would only last a fraction of a second. Moments later the feeling would disapate, as the Galactica would appear in orbit of Jurai."
]Admiral, we are at the specified coordinates. Lt. Gaeta responded.
"Any signs of the Coredians?" The Admiral asked.

Jurai was once a lush planet, filled with greens and blues, perfect conditions for a capital planet. Now, because of how the Empire has ravaged it, it glistened white in the throes of an artificial Ice Age. Even so, craters could be seen from the surface where the Empire bombarded the planet, destroying cities in the hopes that the capital system would surrender but even in the darkest hours, when the Patriarch was murdered by Darth Vader, when the corpses of past Sith Lords came to life, the planet did not surrender.
Mysteriously, the Empire retreated and though it was toted as a victory, those in the halls of power knew that it was merely a lucky break. For now, Jurai would be a monument to those who were massacred in the battle as the leadership searches for another system to call capital. And for now, it would be an easy place for testing a new FTL system, one with hopes that it could bypass normal Imperial interdictor methods.
A hole in space was torn, then a brilliant flash occurred, followed by another, larger flash. The Corellian Corvette and the Victory Star Destroyer arrived, seemingly unharmed.
"All systems still green?" The commander of the Corvette asked.
"Appears so." The techie looked over the systems for a few minutes. Satisfied, he grinned. "Comms, contact Galactica. Tell them that Phase One is a success and Phase Two will begin momentarily."

Sir the Coredian vessels made it LT. Gaeta replied, and in a moment, cheers burst throughout the CIC. People were smiling, and clapping, as the news of the first leg of the test was completed.
"THat is great news Mr. Gaeta, patch me through to their vessels."
This is Admiral Adama to the Coredian vessels. Congradulations on your first successful jump.
Sir we are recieving a transmission, they are prepared to test out the atmospheric jump test."
"Damn they are ambisious," Colonel Tigh responded. Tell them to make sure they have a good scan of the area before testing it, otherwise their crew might end up in the side of a mountain, or in the ocean.
"Prepare search and rescue raptors and have them preped, in case the test fails."
Lt. Gaeta replied, "Yes sir," as he turned to a control panel, and began to issue directions for the teams. Everyone held their breathe as the Coredians were about embark on a very dangerous manuver.

OOC: Note that Jurai's very ruined. It was to show you the cost of fighting the Empire, yet we still go on. Ask away ICly at any time.
IC: "Galactica says to get a good scan of the area to avoid getting splattered on the side of a mountain." A comms officer replied.
"Very well. Activate active scans. Make sure the repulsarlifts work, too." The commander replied. The techie complied.
Then, the two ships disappeared in another flash of light.
High above the white landscape, two flashes of light appeared. For a few seconds, nothing happened, then two ships seem to be descending at a very fast rate, fire licking at the deflector shields. Then, the repulsarlifts of the Corellian Corvette kicked in, slowing its fall. But something was wrong with the Victory Star Destroyer.
A Victory Star Destroyer is 900 meters long and one of the largest ships capable of entering atmosphere without special equipment. This Victory normally has its repulsarlifts active when entering atmosphere, but for some reason, this one doesn't.
Frantic crew rushed about to try and get the repulsarlifts online before the ground rushes up to meet the ship in catastrophic disaster. Finally, at the last minute, the repulsarlifts kicked in, bouncing the Star Destroyer and spewing up large amounts of snow and dirt. Then, the ship rose again, shaken but alive.
"Whew! That was close. Ok, make note that atmospheric jumps with ships Victory-sized or larger should never be used or risk crashing." The commander said. "Then return to orbit for the third phase."
When they disappeared, they created a hurricane as the spacefold activated and then all was silence again. Then, the two ships prepared for the third phase...

OOC: Oh I was aware of that, it was either that or I thought you were showing me the devastation of bombardinga planet. I was going to save all the IC questions til after your tests, after all your high risk manuvers are dangerous enough without having to be a tour guide with it.
The Crew watched with anticipation, as the two coredian vessels attempted an atmospheric jump. All seemed to be going well at first.
Sir, the Victory class star destroyer seems to be having trouble, sir they are attempting to use some sort of lifting method to slow their decent.
"Come on. come on you can do it." Adama said as the mood tensed up in the CIC. Everyone watched, praying that the Coredians will be ok. Some kissed Icons in their pocket of the diety they were born too, others held their breathe.
Hera watched, saying nothing, yet she could hear their inner thoughts. The crew of the Galactica fought beside the coredians in the end of the second cylon war, many of them were found of these people. She could barely remember that day, back when she was two years old, the man in the brown robe, watching her intently and the signing of the peace treaty. It seems that the crew had not forgotten their allies, and truly cared for their friends.
In a few moments, it appeared the ships signaled that they were fine, as the vessels left the planet and began to return to orbit Via FTL jump drive.
Adama looked at Lt. Gaeta, what went wrong?
"Sir their anti gravity repulser drive was taking energy needed for the FTL spin drive. It would appear that they did not deviate the power supply in time, and the FTL drive did not work."
Patch me through to the COredian Star destroyer. Adama picked up the com system, and paused for a moment,
This is Admiral Adama, congradualtions on surviving that free fall, we were about to begin to launch search and rescue raptors to your location, had anything occured. Please be adviced, that your repulser lift drive took power from your ftl drive. We did not anticipate this, as our battlestars do not have such capabilities. Next time try a free fall, and keep your FTL drive spun up. Program your FTL drive to jump after 10 seconds of free fall or shorter, and you should be ok. Good luck on phase three, and after your successful completion, I am sure there are many things that you will want to talk about, as I know our crew does. Good luck, Adama out.
Adama placed the com system down. He looked around, "Let us hope they take that advice to heart.
OOC: You should be able to jump with a victiory class star destroyer, after all the Galactica is as big as an ISD.

OOC: I know, but I can't have perfection, can I? ;)
IC:
It seems the sensors of the Galactica was accurate as the crew of the Victory Star Destroyer discerned what went wrong. The power lines for the repulsarlifts were linked with the FTL drive, drawing away the energy needed to jump.
Good advice, Galactica. We'll put it in the books.
As the ships hovered over the white planet, the third phase came into play. It was a short war game that had a Coredian Interdictor Cruiser with old Imperial tags trap the Victory and its escort and a couple of "Imperial Cruisers" to chase the friendlies. The object was simply to escape the enemy by any means necessary.
Suddenly, the attack began as a massive gravity well appeared, preventing escape into hyperspace. Two cruisers were then sighted on sensors and began to attack the Victory and the Corvette. While the turbolaser blows were soft enough that the shields would have no trouble holding against them, said blows were still enough to damage fighters or even buildings on the ground. The Victory and Corvette returned fire, but they knew that they were outmatched. The Corvette dodged around like crazy, using its speed and agility to avoid most of the shots while the Victory took it in the chin.
"Get the Jump Drives spun up!" The captain of the Victory roared, secretly enjoying the game. "If we don't, we'll be space dust!"
"Sir, we don't know if the drives would even work at this point!" One of the techies cried out, also playing the game. The other crew members, not privy to the game, looked worried and determined to "fight" to the end.
"Just get them online and we'll worry about the consequences later!" The captain snapped.
A couple of tense minutes later and just as the shields were about to "drop", the FTL was spun up and the coordinates was locked in, although it was harder because of the modulating gravity waves.
"Jump!" The Captain ordered and two flashes occurred. The cruiser captains swore as they lost their 'prey' and switched transponders to regular Coredian warships. The Interdictor closed down its gravity well generators and disappeared to its station.
Two lightyears away...
One last flash occurred and the two ships congratulated themselves on a job well done. The FTL drive worked like a charm and it would definitely be recommended for all new ships. The results of the test will be spat out by the computers later. Finally, the ships made a short jump back to Jurai for the after-action review and a party...

It was truly a celebration of sorts, the Coredians seem to have mastered the art of space fold jumping. The scene on the Galactica was one of joy, their friend and ally now had a potent surprise for their enemy, the enemy the Colonies had seemed to inherit, the Galactic Empire. Everyone was smiling, and laughing, all but Hera. She stood still out of the way, her vision still clouded by the dreams of her past, of the upcoming future. With her, it was always in a metaphor, the future, but still today marked the begining of the end of colonial life. It was a curse, to know that she would have to be the one to save humanity and cylon alike, that God had chosen her for this one divine task, that so much joy has given birth to so much sorrow.
As she standed there, her mind and body held at bay, Admiral Adama walked up to her.
"What is wrong, this is a grat occasion." Adama asked the seventeen year old girl. She stood there and the only words she could reply with, "The Sky will burn..." Adama looked at her, was she crazy or does she know somehting he does not.
Hera, he replied, there is no sky we are in a battlestar. We are in space, and the planet below is far from on fire. The girl always had her quirks, but they were rarely so blantent.
"If you are not feeling well, you might want to stay in your bunk, while we have the meet and greet on the Coredian Vessel. I will apoligize for you, since you do not seem well."
Hera came to, "Thank you for your concern Admiral, but I will attend. We must hurry though, we do not have much time."
"Very well" Adama said, looking at the girl very confused.

"But enough bellyaching. I'm pleased to meet you and your crew. Is it true that Galactica was involved in a peace deal with some droid enemies of yours?"
Adama took off his glasses, thinking of the memories of all of the lives lost to the cylons. The cylons were our version of the empire. We built them, gave them life, the ability to think and feel, then we wonder why they would rebel against us when we place them in jobs that were too dangerous for humans to do. It was a sin, creating a race and forcing them into absolute slavery. During both cylon wars millions of lives were lost. THen they evolved somehow, taking human form, down to the cellular level. Have you ever fought a machine that looks and feels human, one that can be anywhere, and is next to impossible to detect. Chaos ensued, as our worlds burned. Too many lives were lost, before the end of that battle. Yes the Galactica ended up leading the last charge of the final battle with the help of your Captain Holland, and his Jedi knights. Admiral Adama began to take a long drink from his scotch. "Yes the Galactica, was the ship where the cylons signed th peace treaty of both cylon wars. Soon it becomes apparant, that she sees something, but does not know how to process it. Her mind, lacking any knowledge or control seems to be creating these projections, or illusions as a method of coping. It is her only way of truly understanding what is occuring, even though she seems more confused than ever.
Intruged, the Jedi allowed her words to course through his mind. "Tell me more, if you please."

Adama smiled. It would truly be an asset, but for no we are having some trouble, mainly with the lack of detailed scans on the other side. Sometimes they run into a mountain, other times they work perfectly. It is quite frustrating, but it does hold some promise. Also our main problem with the project comes to fuel costs. Jumping takes a lot of fuel or power as you are now aware of, and in order to use thrusters to hold it above the surface long enough taxes it's capabilities, especailly long range ones.
Hera looked at the jedi. "The man in black, with yellow teeth the one who let the sky on fire. I can not stop him, only run. As she describes the scene, the world changes, as the sky turns crimson red. In the distance, a man dressed in long black robes walks up to the forrest behind the knight and hera. He cackles and smiles, his teeth as yellow as the sun, and points to the ground with his pale boney finger. As he points the forest lights on fire, as a seven year old Hera runs out, terrified for her life.
She is chasing a white rabbit, as she falls on the muddy ground. She turns and cries as the forrest she was so long hidden in is destroyed, and the sky is on fire. It would appear that comets, or ship parts are flying into the atmosphere. She continues to run, as she enters a giant opera hose. THe opera house's interior is red and gold, with a greco-roman accent. As you continue to look, and she continues to narrate, the rabbit turns into a person with a brown cloak.
The person who's face is obfuscated picks up the seven year old Hera. "It is ok, the person says. "This is your destiny. You must lead your father and mother here. This place once forsaken, will become your refuge, from the second great blaze."
She looks up at the Jedi Knight, "What does this mean?"

"I gathered. We'll have to work on that, but for sure we have all the time to do so." Captain Feren said.

The man must be Palpatine. Not even cold in the ground and his fingers still reach out to grab for power. The Jedi thought grimly. "I believe it is safe to say that this is a vision of some sort. Of course, my first advice to you would be to say that the future is always in motion, but I think this vision is very strong. I wonder..."
He thought the girl would make a powerful Jedi if trained well, judging by the clarity of the visions, but he didn't know how best to approach that. And the last part of this vision. A place of sanctuary from whatever destruction that would befall the Colonies, it intruged him most of all. Aye, Ryan had a very good inkling that the Colonies will be at the center of this vision perhaps even their fall. Perhaps their rebirth...
He prayed silently to the Force that it wouldn't be that bad and that the Colonies would be strong enough to face this threat, with its friends and allies by its side.

Hera looked at the knight, now seventeen again. You do not understand, this has all happened before and it will happen again. Every night since I was young, this vision has plagued me, driving me insane. I understand, but I can not comprehend. It rattles me like I am in a cage, and I can not escape.
She turned, and soon the room became the ship again, with all of the people in it, laughing, dancing, and the general joy that surrounds the party. She walked slowly and gracefully, almost like a ghost to the wall and began to look at the crowd, watching the people, observing their behavior, with them, yet always alone. She stood watching, waiting...

Ryan felt a prompting from the Force, as if it was telling him to go for it. "Perhaps...perhaps I could help you comprehend this. I'm perhaps not the right person to interpret visions and dreams, but I know that the Jedi High Council may be able to do so. I believe you need a pathway to understanding your visions, through training and learning the ways of the Jedi. It may not be the only path, but I believe that under the circumstances, it would be the best. What do you say?"

Hera looked at Ryan somewhat puzzled. "You have the key, to release me from my cage, unlike others that desire to keep me locked in the cell."
She stared at him, looking into his soul, trying to see his desires. Suddenly she looked shocked, she saw something in him that she had never seen before. He truly desired to help her, not for his own gain, but for hers. She continued to look at him, seeing his body glow as white as the snow of the planet they were orbiting.
"Very well she smiles, so sweetly so innocently, I will come with you. Let me inform the Admiral that I will need to be on a detached leave of service." she says, quite surprisingly and very coheriently.
She began to walk with Jedi Knight Ryan up to the Admiral. The Admiral stopped his conversation with the captian, and looked at her, like a grandfather but his head never moved. A moment later he really did look at her.
Captain, might I introduce to you, Operative Hera Agathon. She is a representitive of the Quorium and has their authority.
Hera held her hand out, to shake it. Admiral, I need to inform you that I will not accompany you to the planet's surface for the summit. Something has come up, and I need to go with this knight.
Admiral Adama looked at her, Ok, I will inform the Quorium upon my return to the colonies.
Hera smiles, "Thank you admiral, as she kisses him on the cheek. Do not worry I will be ok, everything will be ok. Might I have a Raptor to return when I need to?"
Adama still confused about this, but lacking the authority to deny her a raptor replied, "Sure, and may the gods bless you."
SHe then turned to Jedi Knight Ryan, whatever lies ahead," I know you have the best of intentions."
