hi all.
I tried to design my own ships. but there are some things i just cannot do well. that said i decided to use some i liked from some books i had as a kid.
that said thinks must be given to Stewart Crowley for his TTA series of books.
also to the actual artists who did these pics.

They all look awesome. But are the battlecruisers and warships your only classes? Or do you have others?

well i will try to get others. you see those books came out in 78 and the pics are kind of hard to find on the net. as soon as i find some appropriate pics i will add them. i only use designs that sorta fit with each other. i have a few other pics but they don't fit with the idea. one site is adding other pics so maybe soon cannot say. i am still doing searches to see if i can find some others. i have an old sci-fi comp wargame so as i get new pics i will add other classes then. though those will be the main classes seen for right now.

also you should know that the means of producing these things ie the science is through salvaging crashed and distroyied craft so some things are less tech then others. kinda a hodge podge of ideas. like we have transporters,but we use hyperspace tech instaid of warp tech (not exactily the same thing) we have ion plasma cannons but also use nuke torpedoes. it all depends on my tastes i have FTL Radio instaid of subspace comms (same diff though, well sorta)

just as a point i do have troops their uniform is kinda a cross between the u.s army's future warrior design and storm troopers. they wear gloss black on flat black uniforms. if necessary just use the future warrior design for now.its close enough.

also we have advanced genitic engineering yet our med tech is just a little more advanced then standered Mt.

also any ideas of what kind of craft i should add is defenately welcome

What program did you use to design those? They look pretty sweet.

Wow I have not seen those pictures in years. If I remember right you got them from the old Teran Trade Authority hand books.

Ambrose: I did not make them myself. they are from a set of books known as the "Terran Trade Authority Handbooks" various artists did them in 78,79,80.
I had one of them when i was a kid "SpaceWreck" and i just loved that book. the great thing about them was that they were written as though they were history books of a sort. but anyway i looked it up i beleave the programs used to edit most of them for the net was "POV-Ray 3.5, Bryce 4.1, Photoshop 5.5."



tarlag: most of them are from "SpaceCraft 2100-2200", "SpaceCraft 2000-2100" , "SpaceWreck" and one or two from the "Laguna Wars". as i don't still got mine i pulled these off the net from various sites. some i renamed because they were ship specific, and some that i haven't put up yet i will have to rename because i don't got the names for them. also a few may not have actually been in the books because i have a few from artists who don't really say if they were.

as an off note i am still looking for those books without having to pay the net prices. considering that i have seen all of three of them in different libraries in different cities they couldn't have been that common. the real prob is i want origionals not reprints. the one i had was from a yard sale
