(OOC: Some of you have said you want to formally start relations with Kemonomimi so you are welcome to join this if you want)

The H.M.S. Raven was getting ready to set sail from a port in Far north Kurona. Tomoyo was going to meet up with some of her newly found neighbors to the south. It had been a very trying time for Xanadou, with the fall of Hataria and now more than a dozen strangers roaming around, and a failed invasion by a band of "GDI" rouges. Now El Nino was having an effect on the region's weather. The seas were rougher the rains were more frequent and the heat was blistiring. Heck some places were being dumped on by snow. Tomoyo needed something to look forward too what better than a neighborly visit. Tomoyo was also in an unusual manner, she seldom dressed in civilan attire. The last time she did she was in jail. But of course she was going to a southern island where it was was much hotter, Tomoyo really didn't want to be weighed down in such heat. So she traded up, a purple sleevless shirt. "All right are we ready to go Captain?"

"Just about ma'am." The Captain paused and examined her instruments and felt the wind. "All right, we're ready! Let's set sail!" The sails unfoiled and the ship headed out. This wouldn't bee too long of a journey because the island was only a few thousand miles from Kurona's southern coast.

Althoug it was sunny the seas were quite bouncy. The ship was rocking and rolling as though it was in a storm. Tomoyo had no trouble keeping balance however. She was very curious about what she would encounter. She had seen Nekomimis but that's about it. She wondered what kind of people she would meet and what the island culture was like. Her raven black hair blew back in the wind. "Your Highness," The captain said snapping her out "Weather is looking good on the horizion admist the time, your lucky we should arrive in several more hours at this rate."

"Even though were bouncing this much?"

"Even so Princess. Unless we have a cloud burst or something. I mean this with all due respect your grace but I really like you in normal clothes for a change."

"Thank you Mika, please call me Tomoyo you have been my captain for years."

"But Princess I couldn't."

"I insist. Or at least call me Tomoyo-sama."

"As you wish, Tomoyo-sama."

Hours passed and they had arrived just as expected to the islands. "Land Ahoy Princess."

Rain pelted the windows of the luxurious office as Director Altanov sat at his heavy oak desk staring at the hazy skyline of Tangalee. The reconstruction had filled the coffers of the Vetalia-Hataria Reconstruction Corporation, now renamed the Xanadou-Vetalia Corporation, fuller than they had been at any time since the company had been chartered. Altanov liked the rain. It kept the weather cool and cleansed the skies, often leading to the stunning sunsets so common this time of year.

The clock ticked quietly, a curious astronomical device manufactured at some point distant in the Hatarian past, its elaborate clockwork still running soundly after a millenium buried below the city. The company had unearthed a tomb belonging to one Hatarian noble or another at a construction site outside the city and the device was among the valuables found. The rest had been sent off to the Vetalian Museum of Cultural History for display in the new "...a stately pleasure-dome decree. 1,500 years of Xanadou History" display of the summer season.

He called in his secretary, asking her to prepare some tea, and began looking through new dispatches coming in to his office. As the de facto representative of the Vetalian government, at least until the embassies in the various successor states were operational, he was responsible for the affairs of the former state as well as the larger region of Xanadou. A new nation had arisen, and he was tasked with greeting them and building relations.

The secretary came in, bearing tea in elaborate Hatarian porcelain service purchased from an antiquities dealer in Hataropolis. Upon setting it down, he picked up his desk phone and called on his chauffeur, asking him to prepare his car for departure to the border. Since it was such a short distance to the border, he would travel by car rather than plane, and would go alone to preserve the diplomatic integrity of his mission. Any concerns could be dealt with by a phone call or email. Setting the phone on its receiver, he sipped the hot tea and continued to watch the rain. Hopefully these negotiations would prove useful.

Kemonomimi was Getting ready for The vist from Princess Tomoyo of Kurona. This was somethig rare in The Republic, and first time for it also. All towns and Cities on the island were getting ready for the vist.

this would be a day so well remembered..............if The Hanyo's did protest when The princess came.

A solemn procession of La Fayette-class (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Fayette_class_frigate) frigates sailed steadily towards Kemonomimi, their bows piercing the choppy, cold waters.

"May Neptune protect us, guide us, give us strength. May he lead our fleets to victory," the sailors muttered, reciting the traditional naval orison as they approached Kemonomimian waters.

All hands, action stations, action stations, blared the shipboard public address systems. It might have seemed excessive, these powerful ships going to full alert upon entering the waters of a nation that could, by all accounts, be crushed the PSR, but when the Prime Minister was going into the heart of an unknown nation, whose goals were as of yet unknown, precautions had to be taken. An old Londinian adage trumpeted, "Be wary of new nations, regardless of how small. For all you know, they could be bloodthirsty cannibals."

A black NH90 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NH90) helicopter with the national seal proudly emblazoned on the side quickly rose from the platforms, leaving the fleet behind as it flew towards the coast.

"Attention, Kemonomimi officials. We are carrying the Prime Minister of the People's Sovereign Republic of British Londinium. Requesting permission to land, over."

Tomoyo stepped off the boat. She looked at the Kuronan Flag waving gracefully in the wind. The only reall indication it was the Kuronan Princess for a visit. Well other than the fact it was probably the only wooded sailing ship that would be in port if others arrived

"Mmm, it's hot." Tomoyo said to her self. She could feel the sun beaming down on her giving her normally porcalin skin a shade of brown. She inhaled deeply absorbing the tropical air.

The Port of Kayi was busy when The Pirncess came. Soon three large Oni, armed with swords, came to The Kuronans, with a horse drawn wagon ot take them to the capital it self.

"Greetings, I'm Princess Tomoyo from Kurona. I'm your neighbor to the north."

She was helped onto the wagon, it almost felt like home. The island scenery was quite beautiful.

Admiral Jack Tarson of the I.D.C.Y.N.G (Imperial Democracy of Cazelia Yarkai National Guard) observed his F/A-11s initiate aerobatic maneuvers and bomb demo targets for the Kemonomimi people. more fighters were being launched by the minute. they were all from the Black Hawks squadron, Cazelia's aerobatic team. they also bombed demo targets and did stunts. he hoped the Kemonomimi people saw the massive air power that the Cazelian navy could deploy in just a couple of hours. it was truly an impressive sight, even for an Admiral

The president was to arrive in Kemonimimi in just a couple of hours.

It was 20 miles to The Capital, so it would be a long ride. The Wagon pasted Farms land, Jungles, and The Dip River. It was peaceful.

But The Planes were scareing the people. Kemonomimi did not have airport or even a air force. They thought the planes were witches flying, one Oni tried Throwing a cow at one of the planes.....he missed.

Panic was in the air.

Prime Minister David Flower and his aides boarded the Boeing 747, International One, to fly to Kemonomimi. He would be escorted by three Panavia Tornadoes of the New Brittonian Air Force, partly for demonstration, partly security.
"So our first topic is this, the Kemonomimi people apparently have no air force, and have never seen an airplane before.", Prime Minster Flower said.
"Well, they will be shocked at this.", an aide said.
"But I think we can sell some of our old craft, but do you think that will violate neutrality?", PM Flower asked.
"Well. . . no. As long as that we do not have ant pacts or alliances with that."
"And that's good enough for me.", David Flower said as International One took off.

(OOC: They don't have an Airport either, so you may have to land the 747 some place else)

Michiko landed in a nearby country and boarded a small private boat to head to the island. She was of course sent as a represenative of Kanami. Pretty soon the boat beached up. "Now where am I to go?"

"I think we have a problem", the pilot said.
"What is it?", the copilot said
"No runway"
"Shit!"
"Just find some field and park it there.", the pilot said

The People saw The Plane land in a field and soon were looking at The odd thing. 100 Hanyo soldiers were soon coming to The plane to see what it was.

the President walked out of the helicopter "dont worry, it's only a helicopter nothing to be afraid of" he said, patting the helicopter "20,000 pounds of steel and mechanics"

President Yim Bani was waiting for The Princess to come, The Wolf Yokai had been waiting all day for her and now that she was coming, She was happy.

Yin wore armor and furs, her black hair was blacker then the night. She had a sword on her. Being The President of a small republic was good for her.

this was her first vist from a leader of another Nation.

The Mercedes Benx W220 S-Guard drove tore dorn the streets of Kemonomimi, escorted by four Land Rover Dfenders. The cars stopped, the driver saw two official looking people. Prime Minister Flower ran out of the Benz an stomped on his cigar butt. The Prme Minister then ran, took a swig from his flask, and said to the woman who came out of the wagon,

"I'm sorry I'm late. We got sooooo lost in the city."

"How on earth did you get a car on the island?"

"We flew it in, took two C-130's with all of the stuff. It seems now that we should have done something else. I do not know how to get home as there is no fuel for the jets. Damnit, I'm stupid!"

"Well would you like to hitch a ride with me? I sailed here."

"We are pleased to meet you both." Yim said, bowing to the two guests.

"Hello, Mam", Prime Minister Flower said, "Nice sword. I'm Prime Minister David Flower and Chief Communard of the Communist Party of New Brittonia. I have some gifts for you, madam, but they are at the landing zone, perhaps we can discuss this inside?"
