"Today marks a great day in the history of the Imperial Kingdom, the beginning of a new era of prosperity"
Said Fredman Zypha, minister of Energy and resources, as the Imperial Kingdom today has become officially energy independent. With the completion of the massive network of hydroelectric dams,nuclear and solar powerplants as well as wind and geothermal plants has finally been completed.
The project to reach independence came about after Zypha was appointed minister some twelve years ago... Since his appointment into office Zypha has advocated energy independence and has pushed the issue despite critics due to the extreme cost of construction.
Some remain skeptical that the construction projects will still remain too costly to operate and maintain, and that it would be cheaper to continue importing foreign fuel products.
However analysts predict that the massive reserves of oil and other fuel sources that are now free for export will bring in trillions of dollars and will pay for the costly construction of plants more than ten times over.. The construction of the many new power plants has also had an outstanding effect on the economy..as thousands of jobs have become available to citizens.
Emperor Nadov III himself was was quoted as saying
"Minister Zypha has proved to be a valuable asset in assuring the continued prosperity of this great kingdom..I am confident we will continue to prosper and move forward with his assistance on the Imperial Council.."
Nadov III has also scheduled tomorrow to be a national day of celebration dedicated to minister Zypha..the festivities are to begin around 11am tommorow morning in Zypha's hometown of Curco
