The Greal Petroleum Company has found a huge oil field on a 1900 square mile island that is owned by Greal, the oil field is so big that most of the field is in the ocean. The Greal Government would like to sell the oil field to a foreign oil company, either auctioning or selling.

The Greal government denined rumours that there were gold on the island, however a man managed to sneak onto the island and he came back with a gold piece about the size of a baseball, the Greal government has conituined to deni about the gold, meanwhile, the Greal army sent troops onto the oil island to protect and agurd the massive oil reserves.

Nine hundred miles of oil made Claudius Griffincrest literally spit up his coffee as he read over the reports in his folder. His desk, other than this news, had been relativley clear of other paperwork, and that meant that Griffincrest was able to use the full brunt of his forces in this operation. He wrote up two letters rather quickly, and then gave them to his assistant, Cornelius.

The first letter was to Admiral Lucius Ironclaw. It included the coordinates of the island, a landing point that Claudius believed was suitable, and a brief explanation of the situation. Once again, Lucius walked aboard his flagship, the GNF Ira, and began to prepare for yet another operation overseas. As he sat down in the bridge he thought to himself "Why do these guys announce oil like this?" and then got to work, ordering a nearby officer to bring im a report on the military of Greal, and then preparing the fleet to leave port.

From Ironclaw's home port of Redemption, the fleet would sail due south and meet up with Silverhorn's fleet sailing north from its port in the Campbell islands. Once the rendezvous takes place, command of Silverhorn's fleet will be transferred entirely to Ironclaw, and they would then wait for the word to move.

The other letter was addressed to Jack Phoenixclaw. It also detailed the situation, and advised Jack on how to attempt the diplomatic way about things. Jack was given a budget of seven hundred and fifty billion dollars, and the use of intimidation to throw into the bargaining with the oil company out of Greal. The Greal army moblized their most elite special division, the 45th special elite division. The Greal elite troops were sent to the island to gaurd the island, the Greal 3rd Naval fleet gaurded the island coast.

We Buy It Inc. fleets were under moblization at all times for the most part, constantly patrolling, as soon as the bid had been sent, three fleets were rerouted towards the oilfield, anticipating Griffencrest, the fast movement of the fleets and the early deployment would most likely prove invaluable.

We Buy It Inc. could care less about what happened to Greal, they wanted the oil, but most of all wanted Griffencrest licking it's wounds.

Our lastest fighter, the GNC-21 Multi-role fighter (Shark for short) the fighters are not attacking you, they are going to the island to protect the oil fields, because I can't attack you. (I haven't declared war) abotu 1200 Shark fighters.

The Kingdom of Shredderstan is deeply concerned with this recent turn of events. Countries should be free to sell their goods to any nation WITHOUT having another bigger nation bullying them around. In minutes, forty eight Tomahawk cruise missiles would be screaming towards any RADAR stations, radio stations, and coastal artillery. Shortly after the last missiles cleared their silos, the ships would vanish, activating their stealth and zipping back into international waters.

The fleet was nearing the island, every hour bringing the ships that much closer to loosing their own salvos and letting the mercenaries stowed away in their transport vessels come pouring out.

Aboard the Ira, Admiral Ironclaw watched as several other nations pledged forces. Seeing this, the fourth fleet, formerly on reserve, was called up into the area to join the third on the far side of the island.

On one of the transport ships, a young mercenary sat looking at a picture of his girlfriend. He did not want to be here. He wanted to be home, with her, maybe going to catch a movie or going out to eat. He had no idea what he had gotten himself into and now he was in way to far over his head. Still, if he survived, the pay would finally allow him to get out of the slums and into a real apartment in the city, not that decrepit shack that he had called home for the last twenty years. Over head, a group of the AV-18 gunships hovered, keeping a lookout for any enemy submarines or vessels that bypassed the rest of the fleet. The eery hum of their VTOL engines sent chills down his spine. He knew though, that he would soon see more than this which would scare him far worse.

I think that maybe this isn't the war to fight. No, scratch that maybe, THIS IS NOT THE WAR FOR US TO FIGHT.This has to be resolved diplomatically, as there is NO way we can win militarily. Skyian Armada, 20km off the Oil Fields

With the message that the oil fields and island were officially sold to We Buy It Inc's subsidary Black Gold Incorporated. As soon as the deed for the island and oil fields was received the money, all 11 trillion of it, was wired to Greal.

Now that they had the fields and the island they initiated construction, over 500,000 troops had been brought along with the armada. Helicopters and LCACs bringing in combat troops to set up defensive positions all along the edge of the island.

Combat Engineers began to set up radar sites and a quick airfield. Also, a nice cove had been found and a harbor was quickly put under construction.

About the same time the first oil derricks were being assembled in the armada, they were to be floated into the proper position later, once the Black Gold Inc. refineries had been completed.

All this was happening under the protection of a massive CAP and AWACs network, as well as submarines patrolling around the island.

A message was delievered to Vetalian Syncrude, asking them to cease and desist construction of their oil and natural gas refining facilities on the island. If they did not, heavy fines would be levied against them under Skyian Law and the facilities would be taken forcefully or destroyed. They were explained that with the deed for the island and oil field, anything within 200km from the oilfields or islands was lawfully Skyian Territory, with the economic exclusion zone reaching to 600km.
