Introduction -
The Havenic Trading Company was formed as a joint venture amongst three leading nations: The Most Serene Imperium of Izistan, The Armed Democratic Republic of Mekugi, and The Republic of The Northern Expanse. Through strengthening alliances between these nations, this was seen as the next logical step to provide armaments and munitions to the ill-equipped peoples of Haven so that they might defend themselves more readily from aggressors, whatever form they may take.

Though there are many smaller manufacturers from these nations represented here, many of these designs come from the leading arms corporations in their respective homelands:

- Raven Munitions Industries
- AVA Manufacturing Corporation
- Robertson Arms Co.

Overview-
Designed to replace the S9 Light machine guns then in active service the S12 was developed by William Karak, the son of Jonathan Karak, the much lauded Mekugian weapon designer. The form that the S12 takes is a much lighter and smoother form than the S9 used by the Mekugian Expeditionary force and has found itself many avid fans, and critics in its short deployment to the air war heavy Ruskan province.

The S12 is a Short-recoil operated, belt or magazine fed, forced air cooled machine gun chambered in the Mekugian 7.95x50mm AIM (Advanced Infantry Munition) Utilizing a non disintegrating linked belt based on the German DM1 belt. The weapon fires from an open bolt and is only capable of automatic fire.

Operation-
Upon firing the bolt and barrel locked together recoil for a short distance (less than one inch) before the bolt interacts with the Cam plate . The cam-plate is not a fixed stud on the bolt like most light machine guns instead it is a separate plate which rides in a separate rail track and recoils in a recess in the bolt head with the bolt. This actuates the feed arm and advances the belt one full position to the right. When the cam-plate reaches the end of the rail the resistance and the still moving bolt forces to unlock from the barrel by means of curved cam in the rotating bolt head. The barrel then under strain from its recoil spring is forced forward where the lighter body is accelerated rearwards strongly extracting the spent cartridge and ejecting it to the side.

The bolt decelerates and then is pressed forward by the main recoil spring overcoming the bolts rearward inertia. The bolt then strips a new round from the belt and reengages the cam plate driving it forward resetting the feed arm and the cam-plate. The cam-plate comes to rest just in front of the resting barrel where as the bolt engages the barrel, and chambers the round. The resistance by the stud on the cam-plate reaching he end of its travel forces the bolt to rotate, locking it firmly to the barrel in the opposite way that the cam plate unlocked the bolt. The firing pin then engages the primer on the cartridge beginning firing cycle again. All internal parts are Hard Chrome-Molybnium coated which allows for extreme performance even when completely un-lubricated and subject to battlefield dust, and grime a necessary feature for today’s battlefield.

The barrel of the S12 is removable and contains its own recoil spring that stays with the barrel (reducing the potential of spring warp/wear due to prolonged heat exposure, and ensuring more reliable operation.) the spring is secured by a recoil plate (a circular enclosure secured by four locking studs, that allow the springs timely replacement but not casual disengagement,) and a ‘fan’ plate which acts as the forward retaining point of the barrel recoil spring. This fan plate then forces air into the heat shield around the barrel circulating cool air around the hot barrel decreasing its surface temperature and increasing the time that a sustained burst can be maintained increasing operational firepower and longer bursts increasing the weapons beaten zone without compromising reliability. The replaceable barrel has eight parallel grooves running along the length of the spring area which not only lighten the barrel but also provide the maximum amount of surface area in order to provide maximum convection and therefore maximum cooling to the barrel. Made of a proprietary Chromium Vanadium Tungsten (CVT) Austenic steel alloy the barrel is guaranteed to slag long before it would warp and effect the accuracy of the weapon, since the Alloy doesn’t anneal (soften), and has extremely high melting point the barrels themselves are reusable and can simply be thrown to the side when they get too hot, and reused after they have cooled back down.

The bolt engages with the chamber and the barrel by means of a triangular three lug bolt, which creates a very strong lock, and contains almost 33% more engaged surface area than a conventional six lugged bolt. The barrel is removed via a latch button at the top of the carry handle that requires it to be depressed and then the barrel rotated sixty degrees pulled forward and then removed rearward free of the forward support. When folded the Bipod acts as the bottom heat shield and allows the weapon to be carried for redeployment without the need of any sort of hand protection. This feature not only makes firing and maneuvering easier but also helps protect the operator from inadvertent burns.

Straight belts, or assault drums of fifty rounds can be attached as well as any available 10,20, 30 round magazines from Mark V rifles or later can be fitted into the weapon to decrease logistical concerns. Selection from Belt to Magazine and back again is accomplished via an ambidextrous thumb switch and both a assault drum AND a magazine can be fitted due to the shallow angle that the magazine is inserted in. however a straight belt may interfere with use of the magazine, and its replacement. Spring-loaded dust covers on both ports prevent any unwanted dirt or dust from contaminating the action during transport, and deployment, and are quick to disengage via a single catch for both covers at the rear of the main receiver.

Construction-
Grip, heat shield and stock are all made of Polyform III polymer material and are both tough and light weight but also easily formed for very low cost. This however does not decrease their reliability and the light weight material is surprisingly strong., its strength comes from inlaid glass fiber in the polymer material making it extremely strong, light, and shock resistant all admirable properties in such application.

The receiver is made from stamped steel with reinforcing ribs along its length. All recoiling paths are Milled into the receivers surface and reinforced with further CNC milling of the reinforcing plates. The bolt is under tension by means of an encased three section Volmer-style recoil tube that protects the main spring from binding, or corroding in badly maintained field units, and makes field stripping the weapon surprisingly easy. The main barrel spring is a braided cord spring combining three binds of Spring steel formed into a single spring. This reduces weight but allows for a very strong heat resistant spring.

The buttstock on the S12 is secured via a pair of spring loaded clips/latches on either side of the stock where it meets the receiver, a notable ridge sticks out on the right side of the stock where it meets the receiver to assist in controlled disassembly and removal of the recoil spring. The operating handle is Formed Polymer (with finger indents for quick indexing) over a metal tube. The operating handle is non reciprocating and can be used to manually advance the belt or act as a forward assist.

Sights-
Iron sights are provided located at the forward barrel support, and rear of the receiver providing just under a meter of sight radius making the weapon surprisingly accurate in bursts up to 500m. The front sight is fixed, with the rear sight being adjustable for windage, elevation, and natural dispersion. Tritium inserts are provided as standard, and do much to improve its use over iron sights. A Rail Interface System (RIS) is supplied in M1913 standard along the entire top Feed cover, and along the fixed heat shield. Digital and red-dot scopes can be mounted in various forms and origin, as well as variable magnification and Night vision/IIR-CCD scopes without modification.

Firing the S12-
(taken from Mekugian Automatic Weapons of the War of Golden Succession, by Bruce Roberts)

Our test gun was serial number 1789A produced at the Laxsou Center at Kora Inlet in mainland Mekugi by AVA prior to deployment with the Second Mekugian Expeditionary Forces sent to fight against the Haven Pact August 2016. The Weapon showed some wear but all but the springs were of original serial issue. Our live fire session was conducted in Central Keiso Providence on a sunny late summer day in a large woodland area on private land that provided plenty of room for fire and maneuver exercises. Field of fire was up to 300m. Ammunition was war surplus but of respectable quality and provided in sufficient quantity to provide an accurate appraisal of the weapons characteristics.

Loading
The weapon is most easily loaded with the cover up but it is easily capable with the cover down with the assistance of a starter tab. With the bolt in the forward position flip the ambidextrous safety to “S” for Safe. The safety is a push bar that runs through the top of the pistol grip and must be pushed right to left to engage, and left to right to disengage.

Place (with feed cover open) or Feed the belt (with starter tab) till the first cartridge rest firmly against the feed stop then close the top cover where the feed pawl will secure the round. This secures the belt and positions the cartridge inline with the bolt for firing. To ready the weapon pull the bolt back and let it come forward again where it clicks into place when ready to fire all that must be done is to turn off the safety and pull the trigger.

Firing
We began our evaluation from a sitting position using an old range table as an elevated platform for the weapon, a luxury almost no gunner had during the War, it does however lessen the strain on our testers as we put nearly twenty thousands rounds downrange. The first thing you notice about the S12 is the relatively soft recoil the weapon has, though the recoiling mass is fairly heavy the recoil impulse is delayed into three sets the majority of the recoil not effecting the shooter till the very end phase of the recoiling cycle. This is a pleasant surprise when one realizes the weapon fires a quite heavy round at a reasonable velocity at roughly 15 rounds per second downrange if the recoil was un-delayed it might overwhelm a shooter and cause him to ‘throw off’ his aim.

The weapon was surprisingly accurate from our test range position capable of putting the majority of rounds in short bursts of two or so seconds worth into the nine ring of an International Rifle Silhouette Target at 100m and is according to the supplied media it is capable of striking a small group of man sized targets at ranges up to 3500 meters. During our sitting tests we recorded no stoppages due to mechanical function, though several stoppages where attributed to primer failure from the supplied wartime issue ammunition, though the MRBS still ranked highly at 5,000 rounds with imperfect ammunition, and over 65,000 rounds MRBF

Prone-
Firing while prone by one of our younger and much more lithe testers provided excellent field data to compare to the stories brought home from the war. The weapon displayed excellent accuracy, and was easy to reposition, reload, and sight in while lying prone. The only potential complaint was the shallow vertical angle at which the alternate magazine enters the weapon which made its reloading without letting the weapon tilt to the side in an ideal state to reload a hassle and a potentially worrisome feature, but none the less, its flexibility to accept such magazines we are sure was a welcome emergency feature of the weapon.

Ejected rounds were thrown with some force to the right of the weapon though were not so far ranged as to endanger others but far enough to for us to observe from the safety some distance and to the left of the weapon. This does however demonstrate the weapons amazing ability to eject round under harsh battlefield conditions and would provide adequate ejection force to remove dirty or damaged cases a notably useful feature. The dust kicked up at the muzzle was negliable due to the design of the flash-suppressor/compensator

Assault-
Though the weapon is of decent weight firing in an assault position is fairly easy to do using the attached Bipod as a forward support and the sling to help support the weight of the weapon, the butt is tucked under the arm and the weapon fired normally though much shorter burst were required to achieve any sort of respectable accuracy it is perhaps why there were few recorded accounts of its use in any but support of trench to trench fighting. We set up a rather melodramatic demonstration of assault firing at a grouping of red poster paint and were quite amused at the rather Hollywood-esque results, though it spoke well of the weapons effective use.

Changing barrels-
The barrel was easily changed both by our test firers, and some ‘gunners assistants’ who un-ceremoniously removed the barrel as it reached a fairly obvious state of heat up and tossed to the side and cool barrel lying next tot eh gun was inserted into the weapon itself. Though not proper care for the weapon no disapproval was noticed in the weapons performance and several dozen barrel changed were recorded during our test, the weapon showing very little variance or care as to its rough handling.

To change barrels one gripped the weapon carry handle and depressed a thumb stud unlocking the barrel from the barrel extension the barrel/handle was then rotated some sixty degrees before it came loose and we pushed forward and then removed the barrel from the weapon, the opposite procedure being used to put the new barrel in place the barrel self latching itself into position. Its easily understandable how this could be completed in under ten seconds by a trained two person crew.

Conclusion-
Though a well used, and worn weapon the S12 was amazingly reliable, accurate and functional despite our abuse of it during testing. At the end of the day some 4 test barrels were all smoking hot, and our stock of ammunition depleted, we were all quite satisfied and had all put the weapon through its paces to our satisfaction. The S12 is an amazing weapon not only for the point we mentioned but also its ability to be mass produced in sufficient quality and quantity at the time of need, it can easily be said that many more lives would have been lost for the Mekugians if the S12 had not entered service when it did.

Overview-
Unlike the S12, the S30 was developed by a design team at AVA so no single designer can be given full credit for the development of the S30. Though this can be seen as a bad or a good thing depending on which side of the critics you listen to. Despite its early criticism the S30 is a die hard piece of equipment, rugged, reliable, accurate, and relatively cheap for the weapons capabilities. Its operation however falls on the side of unusual but such innovations developed under stress are rarely given their proper credit.

It is however of note that with so few moving pieces the S30 is an astoundingly simple and effective weapon of worthy extreme technical merit if only because of its sheer simplicity.

Operation-
Designed to act primarily as a tripod or vehicle mounted weapon the S30 is considered one heavy SOB by the troops in the field (mostly because only one man is notated as required to carry the weapon and 2 spare barrels) but its effect against enemy infantry and light armored vehicles is un-ignorable. The S30 operates on an unusual gas ‘assisted’ recoil system that uses a sliding two-piece chamber with a fixed barrel. Considered unique the S30 uses a cup as part of the barrel extension. This cup is filled with the left and right halves of the chamber; one side acting as the extractor/ejector and the other forming the main support for the round. One half (the support half) is attached to the chamber by an arched cam that acts as a control, and as an accelerator for the ejecting side. The extractor/ejector slide is attached to the recoil spring and acts as the primary means of round pick up and as the extraction 'bus' for the round. The other half of the chamber acts not only as the accelerator but as the round advance as well as feeding the belt one link forward with each cycle. Once fully seated a striker based firing pin then ignites the round starting the cycle over.

Force for the cycle is from the round itself pushing back at the cup, pressure locks the two halves together until the pressure drops to safe levels where it then forces both halves back, the cammed side acting as an accelerator which flings the lighter other half back. Ejection of spent rounds is downward ad to the right or left (at the gunner preference) and the feed mechanism can be set to either side with very little of adjustment, all of which can be accomplished in the field by a single man. This system is not only very light but allows for a fixed barrel improving accuracy and allowing for Quick barrel changes with little need to account for head spacing. The heavy barrel is fluted to increase surface area and decrease cooling times and improve heat dispersion, a forward grip is fixed to assist in barrel changes and removes the requirement of heat protection gloves.

Constructed of stamped steel complete internal hard chrome/molybnium-disulfide coating of components and the action itself the S30 has shown an almost heroic record of reliability and sustained fire, being used for hours on end with little relief to defend makeshift positions against overwhelming odds in the War against Havenic Aggression. Many well documented, and not so documented accounts tell of the weapon becoming almost entirely red hot the gunner having to don fire proof gloves to keep hold of the weapon as loaders pour ammunition into the weapon that just wont seem to quit. Though such tails are always taken mostly as anecdotal one report recorded several thousand rounds being fired continuously without relief from Hill 38 in the encounter leading up to the battle for Sekei, it goes without saying though that the weapon was not suitable for service by the time the hill was declared safe.

The trigger of the system is a dual trigger system that requires both triggers to be depressed for the initial shot but automatic fire can be sustained with only one trigger depressed reducing shooter fatigue but improving weapon safety. Walnut or polymer hand grips are standard on the trigger grouping and barrel grip for comfort and reliability. The M21 tripod utilizes a fixed pin Super-Quick locking system that allows for not only very quick mounting and un mounting but has pair of recoil attenuation pneumatic tubes for control of the weapons recoil force improving the weapons accuracy.

The 13.3mm Round-

Designation: 13.3x115mm M31
Bullet Type(s): FMJ-BT, AP, SAPI, AP-I/T
Bullet Diameter: .525 inches or 13.335 mm
Overall Length: 159.4 mm
Case Length: 115 mm
Shoulder angle: 18 degrees
Bullet length: 66.6 mm
Muzzle velocity: 860 m/s
bullet weight: 830 grains
Round weight: 140 grams
Muzzle energy: 19,888 joules
Sectional Density: 0.43
Efficacy: 3177

Designed to replace the last vestiges of foreign designs as far as projectiles are concerned the 13.3mm round was developed in house by AVA to provide improved power over the 12.7x107mm round and increased effective range. The result was a strong and sound projectile with 30% longer effective range and more than twice the Kinetic energy of its predecessor with very little overall changes to relative round weights, or size.

Utilizing a short necked cartridge with a long 18 degree case shoulder to ease extraction and seating of the cartridge the Decker Machine Cased Round or DMC is one with exceptional range and power with very little compromise to round weight or overall volume.

-Sentinel 2 CSP Pistol-
Weight: 850 g
Caliber: 10x30 mm
Barrel: 105 mm
Length: 155 mm
Sight Radius: 150mm
Action: Double Action Only
Effective Range: 165 ft (50 m)
Payload: 6 + 1
Cost: $ 980.00 NSD

The Sentinel 2 or better known by its military designation the CSP 2 for Concealable, Special Purpose Model 2 was deigned as a self-defense weapon for officers and diplomats in hostile territory, or simply as a back up weapon for police. Regardless of its intention, it has found a home in many logistics groups who do not want to be bothered by carrying even the light weight model 15 pistol, and is worn by every senator currently in office. Its comparatively small size, light weight, but respectable firepower and accuracy has made it a favorite pistol by those who own one all over the world. A development of the original CSP pistol the Sentinel 2 is a slightly larger gun than the original in order to include increased ergonomics for the firer and decrease the time it takes to settle the gun in the hand, allowing for quicker instinctive shots to be taken with higher overall accuracy.

The CSP 2 has few sharp edges, and is about as "Snag-proof" as any combat gun can ever be. It is almost entirely without projections, and the only control is the trigger. Because of its design it is a surprisingly comfortable gun to shoot, and it feels very ergonomic. An ideal grip angle and deep thumb cut out with a beefy palm grip makes the relatively small pistol easy to hold and comfortable to shoot. Accuracy is excellent but restricted in range because of the fixed sights and relatively short barrel. Dual automatic safeties are included in the design, including a drop safety in the gun, and one in the trigger, which is automatically depressed when the trigger is pulled. A manual safety is also included above the trigger frame on both sides, this acts as both a decocking device and a firing pin safety.

Unlike many of AVA’s pistols this pistol does not use the Rotary lock of the Model 13 and 15, instead a simple browning Cam lock was chosen to save space, and increase robustness in such a compact mechanism. The rear sight has an open-top channel groove running along the length of the rear sight improving sight indexing at close range, Tritium inserts increase the pistols night fighting ability, and it is lightly serrated to decrease glare, but hopefully prevent snagging. The front sight is a smooth triangle to decrease any potential snagging with a Tritium insert at the top allowing for easier front blade shooting for instinctive shooting. Magazine release is ambidextrous and located at the base of the trigger guard like most western semi-automatic pistols.

Texturized rubber grip panels over a carbon fiber panel frame make for strong but comfortable grip and Inset Thumb pads allow for comfortable rest point for the thumb while improving finger indexing under stress. The rubber is slip resistant and allows for excellent grip ability even while wet or covered in oil/body fluids. The weapon is constructed entirely of bead blasted blued Molybnium-coated alloy steel that although is heavier than a comparable polymer framed pistol is much more durable, and abuse-resistant than its plastic counterparts.

Lee-Nordenfeldt Rifle No. 7 - 6.5x55mm

Cartridge: 6.5x55mm Mauser

73-4 only)

The Lee-Nordenfeldt No. 7 rifle started life as the manually-operated straight pull rifle No. 1 in 1896. The updated and modernized version of the No. 1, the No. 2 Mk. 3 (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=225), served for well over 50 years with its original developers and users, The Northern Expanse and The Republic of Izistan. The L-N turned out to be both reliable and easy to use, disdaining the the clumsy, sensitive rotating
bolts of most other straight pull rifles. The straight back and forth action of the manual bolt gave the rifle a speed advantage over the contemporary manually rotating bolt action rifles while remaining simple.

However, it was found that in the face of modern machinegun fire, even this quick-to-work manual action simply was not enough and a program to find a replacement was established. Three methods of replacement were sought:

- Develop an indigenous semi-automatic rifle or find a civilian company with the right experience for this.

- Find a way to modify and update the current No. 2 service rifle through a reliable method of operation while retaining parts commonality.

- Purchase an existing design from a foreign manufacturer willing to license domestic production.

It was decided that the first option would require too long a period of time with war on the horizon and Izistan already embroiled in reclaiming its home territory from the barbarians that had forced them to flee centuries before while simultaneously becoming involved in the G'Topian Secession. The third option was avoided for some of these same reasons as well as not being an indigenous design. So, the second option was chosen since it was thought that the existing facilities could be used to produce this upgraded rifle. While the resulting rifle, the No. 7, outwardly shares many of the same facets as the older No. 2 series of rifles, internally it is much different. First and foremost a gas piston was added to the right side of the barrel. This placement was chosen so that the sight line of the rifle would not be raised significantly and weight of the gas system would be supported by the stock and only partially by the barrel. A top mounted gas piston would also have disallowed the use of charger feeding without interesting mechanical contortions to allow it. The bolt was lengthened and made more robust to remain reliable even under automatic fire. The receiver was redesigned to accommodate this new bolt and new magazines were manufactured with backward compatibility. Unfortunately, this necessary change resulted in the inability for parts to be interchanged aside from smaller parts even if it did result in a better rifle. Needless to say, the rifle went into production just in time to be issued to Expansite forces and some quantities being sent to the allied Izistani forces. Variants of the No. 7 have been developed over the years for different purposes but the rifle at its heart remains the same and harkens back to the older days of riflemen jerking their fouled bolts open by hand only to ram a fresh cartridge forward in the heat of battle.

---

The Lee-Nordenfeldt No. 7 rifle is a gas operated, semi-automatic or automatic magazine fed rifle. The sliding bolt has one large locking lug on the upper forward part that locks into a wide cut in the roof of the receiver just in front of the chamber. At the moment of firing, the striker is released and moves forward under the pressure of the striker spring, impacting the primer and firing the cartridge.. The slug speeds down the barrel passing the gas port in the right side of the barrel, this allows gas to escape into the forward part of the horizontal gas piston alongside the barrel. The piston is immediately forced to the rear compressing the return spring in the base of the piston tube; this action impinges on the bolt carrier drawing it rearward. A large claw machined into the bolt carrier engages the bottom of the spring-tensioned vertical locking lug rotating it downward and clear of the locking recess. A groove on the forward part of the lug engages the rim of the spent casing pulling it free from the chamber and holding it against the bolt face until it is ejected by the spring loaded ejector/bolt stop just rearward of the magazine in the floor of the receiver. At this point, the compressed main spring behind the piston moves forward pulling the bolt with it once more stripping a cartridge from the magazine and loading it into the chamber, ready for firing. In the same motion, the rear striker is cocked and held in place by the main sear until such a time as the trigger is pulled.

Feeding is accomplished from a durable, yet cheap, sheet steel detachable box magazine below the receiver and in front of the trigger guard. Each magazine holds twenty rounds of the standard issue cartridge but can be topped off at any time while in the rifle either through chargers of five rounds each or singly through manual loading. There is also a 45 round drum magazine available for squad automatic rifle roles. The safety for the rifle is located on the left side of the receiver just forward of the semi-pistol grip in an easy position for the thumb to find and operate even under stressful conditions. This also gives the rifleman a positive feel in the dark for the rifle's state of readiness as well as being quick to bring into action by pushing forward. An alternative trigger grouping allows for automatic fire using the lever as both a selector and safety which can be positioned in the traditional upward direction or downward in case of a pistol grip and stock being installed.

Sights are of the diopter type with two flip settings, one for low-light combat situations requiring quick shooting and one more precise for long range fire. The older ladder type sight has been replaced by one with a sliding base and adjustment available for windage via a small knob to the side. This sighting system has proven to be more durable than the older ladder type and less sensitive to fouling from the environment.

While each rifle's stock still consists of two pieces of the resilient sandalwood, more modern stock options are available and widely used in the form of a more straight-line butt and separate pistol grip allowing for better recoil control. These three piece stocks are usually made from durable polymer in black or grey colors. Provision for a sling and bayonet is made in the steel muzzle cap covering the head of the forestock making the rifle very durable for melee fighting and general use. Unusually, the rifle does away with the normal wooden upper handguard in preference for a ventilated heat shield of black-coated steel. As with the No. 2 rifles, the black metal ventilated handguard of the rifle
was retained and thus these rifles still were known to the world as “black flutes” and shared their name with the elite Special Air Service of The Northern Expanse who persisted in their use through the many attempts to rearm these stubborn riflemen.

VARIANTS:
Note: All variants except No. 7-3/4 capable of using new 20 round magazines as well as old 10 round capacity magazines.

No. 7 Mk. 1 – Updated rifle though retaining the traditional rifle stock configuration of the No. 2

No. 7 Mk. 2 - Updated rifle using the new in-line butt stock and pistol grip configuration made from sandalwood and later of polymer.

No. 7 Mk. 3 – A variant with a slightly modified receiver and stock to accept an integral drum magazine of 10 round capacity. This drum allows loading through the right side using standard chargers or through single rounds without opening the bolt. Originally intended for sniper use, this variant has become very popular with sportsmen and competition shooters. The Mk.4 variant is equipped with a pistol grip stock.

No. 8 Mk. 1 – See below.

M45 Dual Purpose Grenade-
Length: 82 mm
Weight: 15 oz.
Explosive: 5 oz of Composition B
Maximum thrown distance: 35 m
Lethal radius: 15 m
Casualty radius: 20 m
Cost: 300.00 NSD per box of 10

The M45 Dual Purpose Grenade is considered perhaps one of the most useful battle field devices currently available. Comprising of a low profile plunger type fuse secured with an oblong safety ring/pin, the M45 looks not that different from a standard fragmentation grenade. Its only slightly larger than the US standard M67 grenade but it's a 3 inch long cylinder instead of a sphere. The outer casing of the grenade is a composite Thermoplastic resin with three raised oval rings around its surface to facilitate a better grip in a wet or muddy environment and allow the cylindrical grenade to fit well in the hand. At the bottom of the cylinder lies a separate metallic ring that makes up the base of the grenade, it has an engraved notch on the ring and the notch is usually pained white for increased visibility. When rotated 10 degrees (it takes a bit of force to do, but not more than opening a soda bottle.) it converts the Standard Offensive grenade to a Fragmentary one allowing for multiple uses with the same stock of grenades and increased lethality per operative.

The Fuse of the M45 is an unusual one in the world of Grenades, comprising of small plunger button on the top of the grenade through which the safety pin is inserted as two opening are aligned. Upon preparation to throw the Operator depresses the button on the top of the grenade, reliving pressure on the Safety pin, which can then be removed with some ease. The safety pin is made of plastic and does not exit the other side of the plunger housing, instead it rests between the primer and the striker to prevent even accidental ignition of the grenades timer. As long as the plunger remains depressed the grenade is safe and will not initiate its timing fuse until released, much like the traditional 'spoon' type. Upon release of the plunger either on the throw or before to provide an airburst effect the grenades releases a striking pin which initiates the time fuse. After a delay of three to five seconds the grenades detonates. An Impact, Extended Timer, and Instant (sabotage) Fuses are available and can be exchanged easily in the field by depressing the plunger (with safety pin in place), unscrewing the fuse counter clockwise, and pulling upwards. The Fuse itself however is designed to prevent its removal and subsequent neutralization by an enemy combatant, by facilitating a two part fuse, the time train needing to be removed separately from the grenade body to prevent function.

The heart of the M45 is its charge of course, comprising of a steel cylinder with thirteen grooves gouged into the composite cone underneath the composite cover. Normally a cage of thirteen metal wires sit in these grooves making a solid smooth cylinder which on detonation simply is forged together to form a solid casing. When in this mode it acts as an offensive hand grenade, commonly referred to as a concussion grenade, and is designed to produce casualties during close combat while minimizing danger to friendly personnel. The grenade is also used for concussion effects in enclosed areas, for blasting, or for demolition tasks. The shock waves (overpressure) produced by this grenade when used in enclosed areas are greater than those produced by the fragmentation grenade. It is, therefore, very effective against enemy soldiers located in bunkers, buildings, and fortified areas. It can also be used for light blasting and demolitions, and for creating breach holes in interior walls in a MOUT environment (an adhesive or magnetic strip is available as an accessory). Though some Fragmentation is generated it is considered minor compared to overpressure effect.

The splitter cage is not fixed to the shaped body of the grenade, and when rotated 10 degrees which puts the wires in between two weakened areas which converts the weapon into a lethal fragmentation grenade. The metal casing along with wires of the splitter cage is comprised of a Laminated Tungsten alloy (known as Tungsten-Cerium-Copper Carbide or TC3 alloy) which was designed to provide similar effects of a DU round (Pryochoric, self-sharpening, Super-dense, etcetera) but without the side effects and handling issues associated with a moderate radiological material. These fragments provide both armor piercing and incendiary effects when use against light vehicles or enemy armored personnel.

The M45 contains 5 oz. Of Composition B, and the case weighs in at a hefty 7 oz. making the total weight of the M45 plus fuse just over 15 oz. Though an ounce heavier than the M67 the M45 can still be thrown to a maximum distance of 35m and produces a Effective lethal radius of 15m with a casualty radius of 20m. Armor penetration has been shown to 55mm RHAe at 5m with diminishing returns beyond that point. It should be noted that care should be taken when used in open environments without cover, as minor fragments have been recovered as far as 300m from the point of detonation. Standard Eye and Hearing protection is to be considered recommended.

M807 Stun Grenade-
Cost: 230.00 NSD per Box of 10

Designed to assist field agents or law enforcement in Entry or other hostile situations that require temporary disorientation of a target or group of targets in a confined space. Constructed of an outer shell of one piece pre-scored polymer the M807 is capable of being withdrawn and operated with one hand (allowing a ‘weapons ready‘ approach) or two hands if the situation allows it. The Operating action is merely to strike the bottom of the cylinder so that the pre-scored section below it is forced out allowing the internal primer/timing mechanism to sit fully inside the actual charge itself. This not only allows for a safer ‘drop-proof’ device it also allows for quick and easy one handed use. When two hands are not available it can simply be struck against the knee or any other hard surface while holding the main section of the munition.

The M807 contains a limited amount of explosives and produces illumination through means of oxidation. A large flash of light is thus produced on immediate detonation followed by a very loud concussive 190 decibel ‘bang’ which far exceeds the human threshold of pain within 5 feet and 140 decibel threshold at 10 feet. In order to continue the disorientation of the subjects a medium amount of non-toxic smoke is produced as a byproduct of the illumination phase, and though merely capable of keeping the room in a slight haze to an unaffected onlooker is sufficient to sustain a targets disorientation long enough to allow capture or take down as needed.

Every possible method has been used to prevent the possibility of Ignition of items such as paper or cloth and should under normal circumstances be of minimal risk. However flammable gases and other hazardous environments are to be avoided as the devices primary means of ignition is oxidation and can thus potentially cause massive collateral damage in such an environment. When activated the scored sections of plastic that mushroom out also act as a drag stabilizer allowing the flash bang to fly farther with less resistance as well as be thrown through thinner openings do to its head first profile and thusly prevents it from tumbling in midair.

Proper hearing protection is heavily recommended.

Length, collapsed: 127mm (5 in)
Length, extended: 280mm (11 in)

Max Fired Range: 400m
Lethal Radius: 15m (Fragmentary only)
Types available: WP, Training, Smoke, Frag, Thermobaric, CS, HE, HEAT
Price: 950.00 NSD per box of 15 rounds

-Overview-
The M13 MPERG or Model Thirteen Multi-Purpose Extended Range Grenade is a Local development based on the FN Herstal ‘bullet-through’ or Telegren rifle grenade concept. When tactical planners began to consider a new unit which would allow even a relatively small detachment the offensive firepower of a platoon or company (depending on where in the hierarchy the support unit is attached.) regardless of its effectiveness the unit would be little more than your average Fire team without this weapon. The M13 is combination Rifle/Hand Grenade that can either be thrown by hand for entry situations in MOUT or fired from a rifle with standard 22mm muzzle adapter/brake up to 400m with surprising accuracy. Whether thrown or Fired directly or indirectly the M13 is a highly efficient system with a lethal radius up to 15m that is lightweight (lighter than a M26 fragmentation grenade) easy to use, and cheap to manufacture.

-Operation-
The hand-throwing fuse system is part of the tail in the form of a plug that seals the rear of the grenade but still operates by the familiar safety-lever and pin system, although the lever is a non-ejecting trigger bar rather than a fly-off lever. This safety-lever also serves as a folding ladder sight that can be flipped up when the grenade is muzzle launched. In its collapsed (traditional grenade) form to operate; one simply pulls the pin and throws it in the traditional method. Pulling the pin releases the safety-lever which when released allows the trigger bar to ignite the timing fuse.

When the tail is pulled out for rifle-launch the time fuse is now physically separated from the trigger bar. If the safety pin is pulled while the tail is extended there will be no effect other than the safety lever partially releasing. The grenade is then slipped over the muzzle of the rifle, the safety-lever is then flipped up providing an aiming point, and when the trigger is pulled the bullet passes down the barrel and blows of a section of the end cap of the rifle grenade off taking with it the unused time fuse and propelling the grenade towards its target. The shock of firing releases the safety-lever/sight causing to fly off allowing the tail to retract fully into the grenade body, the trigger bar is now directly resting on the detonator instead of on the time fuse and will detonate on impact with a target.

If the grenade was readied for rifle-firing but was not used the tail can be collapsed back into the head to return it to hand-throwing/traveling configuration. If the pin was pulled while the tail was out then retracting the tail will not reactivate the hand-throwing fuse system. To rearm the hand-throwing system the safety lever must be fully depressed and a safety pin reinserted. Alternately, if the safety lever has been released it will physically block the tail being fully contracted back into the grenade body preventing a potentially messy accident.

M77 Advanced Dual Purpose Mine (ADPM)-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/Hardware/m77.png
Diameter: 2.0 in
Height: 3.45 in
Weight: 5 oz
Warhead Diameter: 1.65 in
Warhead Height: 2.5 in
Warhead Weight: 3 oz
Fuse Ports: 2
Lethal Radius: 15m
Casualty Radius: 100m
Penetration (RHA): 75mm
Cost: 58.00 NSD Per item

No more than 2 inches in diameter, and made primarily of Polymers the M77 is a Jack of all trades Bounding mine useful for covering roadways, and other areas where light armored vehicles and personnel are frequently encountered.

Inspired by the Springenmine m/44 or S-mine of Nazi Germany and Finnish use. The M77 ADPM has a polymer casing that surrounded by four pressure arms that are deployed before being buried, each arm acts as a pressure fuse and allows the mine to cover a wider area than most anti-personnel mines without the requirement of a tripwire or other protruding sensor. The composite outer case contains the projectile warhead, the pressure arms and strikers, the launching charge, and two fuses. The first fuse is usually a self destruct fuse with a default of 28 days, though this can be changed for almost any time length or removed completely. The second fuse is a Anti-Tamper fuse to prevent simple demineing of a strategic area.

To counter the growing attempt as quick path clearing the striker fuses for the Pressure arms require a force greater than 5.5kg for 3/10ths of a second which (baring outright destruction of the mine) makes flails and line charges essentially useless against it. Dozers are slightly more effective but run the risk of uprooting the mine and firing the DPHE charge above the protection of the dozer blade to possibly damage the demineing vehicle and possibly wound or kill any external personnel.

The main warhead of the M77 is Dual Purpose High Explosive Charge that combines a Light Armor Piercing effect, with a High Explosive Fragmentary effect. Upon triggering of one of the four pressure arms the primer ignites the launching charge propelling the warhead out of the ground to a height of around 1 to 1.5 meters before detonating and showering a lethal area of 15m with 3000 2mm High Velocity Tungsten projectiles. Unlike the ‘Bouncing Betty’ of antiquity the M77 is a tetherless bounding mine equipped with an inertia fuse that uses a small battery and a mercury switch to complete a simple circuit upon deceleration (either reaching the apex of its vertical trajectory or striking the bottom/wheel or track of a light armored vehicle.) allowing unseen versatility in a light weight mine.

Effective range: 50+ meters
Muzzle velocity: depend on the round
Price: 950.00 NSD

Overview-
Developed originally for Special Strategic Services (S3) as a weapon for VIP protection, and later well known by F-33E (and later variant) pilots as a Escape and Evasion tool the AVA CPD Compact Personal Defense also widely known as 'cricket' by those who are familiar with its small 'hop' of muzzle climb. Though designed to be as compact as possible to be concealed or packed in with a specialists existing pack the cricket was designed for controllability, reliability and a decrease in moving parts.

Operation-
The cricket is a Double action Submachine gun utilizing a heavy unitary(single piece) bolt cammed to a rotating barrel using a single reinforced cam. The main spring is tensioned around the rotating barrel and stopped by the front part of the enveloping bolt. Its in this arrangement that the bolt is closer to a internal slide, than a traditional bolt. On firing the round is fired, the bolt being locked until the round cuts into the rifling rotating the barrel cam acting as an assist to the bolt allowing the combined force of recoil and the cams action to force the bolt back under control and assisting int he cases extraction. Bolt deceleration is assisted by the increasing tension on the spring due to its winding during the rotating action. After the round has exited the barrel, and the case ejected, the bolt moves forward the cam and spring acting as forward assist as ti strips a new round, chambers it and restarts the cycle.

Two things of note with its operation, and perhaps the reason the cricket has shown such success in an overcrowded market is that A) the center of balance remains primarily between the users hands decreasing the torque that the user experience during recoil, and B) the barrels rotation is Left and Down countering the weapons (and all primarily right handed weapons) natural muzzle climb of up and to the right, this use of counter torque techniques allow for a much reduced muzzle climb allowing more rounds on target and less stress on the firer.

Sights-
Full length M1913 rails are included on the spine, and forend of the weapon allowing for a multitude of accessory options. a groove runs the full length of the upper rail acting as a sight guide for reactionary shooting. Holo-sights and other see-through optics are encouraged to gain the best results from the weapon due tis short sight radius, however adjustable Diopter rear, and a hooded front sight allow for instinctive shooting without need for specialized optics.

AVA Archer A4 IRC (Impulse Revolver Cannon)
Type: Electrically Powered, Revolving Chamber, Automatic Cannon
Caliber: 25x135mm
Height: 230 mm
Width: 105 mm
Length: 2500 mm
Mass of Gun (w/ barrel):125 kg
Mass of Barrel: 25 kg
MRBF: ~1800 (gun and ammo) >3000 (gun, mechanical)
Power supply: 2200 mAh @ 110VDC continuous
Rate of Fire: 1100-2100 rpm +/- 100 rpm (spin up)
Ammunition: Multiple 150 round Linkless Ammunition Box (LAB)
Cost: Negotiable, contact AVA

The 25x135mm Archer A4 IRC (Impulse Revolver Cannon) serves as both the primary air to ground and close in air to air weapon of the F-40A Horus. The A4 is a externally powered Rotary chamber single barreled automatic cannon. The weapon is capable of selectable powered feed, and is downward ejecting. The A4 is comprised of a eight open chamber revolver using a mechanical wedge operated striker with a fixed ejector per chamber

Rounds enter below the barrel axis and rotate clockwise into alignment with the barrel. A top plate seals the chamber where a fixed wedge (fixed to the rotating chamber) cocks and releases the striker igniting the round upon alignment with the barrel. The empty case then rotates out of alignment and is flicked to the side ejecting the spent cartridge to a recollection area where the rounds are placed into a storage bin. At all times the rounds of ammunition are under control and not free flying. There are also no links to cause stoppages. The chamber then passes through a cooling area where forced air is used to cool the chamber to decrease the possibility of a round ‘cooking off’ prior to alignment with the barrel.

The barrel is primarily air cooled with a supplemental electrical coolant system using a fixed ‘Vortex’ cooling jacket comprised of an enclosed non-reactive gel with sixteen 240w peltier cooling modules. The Vortex jacket standing some half and inch from the barrel itself sufficient for cooling air to pass around the barrel and decrease the thermal load on the gel increasing its service life. Air being the primary thermal evacuation method.

Rate of fire is selectable at either 1100 rounds per minute (A/G mode) or 2100 rpm (A/A mode) both modes are capable of using a built in Passive Induction Muzzle Programming System for applicable 25mm rounds. The PIMP system allows for air bursting High Explosive Fragmentary rounds without compromising the effectiveness of APHIDS (Armor Piercing High-Explosive Incendiary Discarding Sabot) rounds.

Developed originally for the "Black Eagle' VTOL project the A8 cannon has proven itself an excellent cannon for installation on light aircraft or as a turret mounted cannon for use in helicopters. The A8 is comprised of a three open chamber revolving chamber using a mechanical wedge operated striker with a fixed ejector per chamber. Instead of going for an external power source as the primary means of operation the system utilizes a much quicker gas actuation turbine that removes the need for the system to 'wind-up' to speed, and prevents the need for a clutch, simplifying construction. Though roughly the same size as the M230 cannon used on the AH-64 the barrel si significantly longer garnering excellent performance from the smaller round both in improved penetration, but also in ballistic range and accuracy.

This method of cooling is exactly the same as the A4 Archer cannon, and has proven itself exceedingly effective ad decreasing heat build up and increasing the service life of the cannon.

Operating off Multiple Hot-swappable Linkless, Helical, Closed loop, cartridges, these cartridges can be preloaded on the ground with a separate external power source and loaded into the Helicopter or mount quickly and easily. These cartridges can contain the same or different ammunition types and can be selected 'on the fly' or mixed to create a continuous stream of rounds with a varying mix of projectiles. A handy feature of the weapon is an auxiliary drive unit (composed of a high torque electric motor) that allows the weapon to clear unfired or jammed cartridges that would normally prevent the weapon from functioning, without having to carry a separate magazine of blank cartridges improving overall functionability with no need to stop or wait the system automatically detects a deceleration, engages, clears the round and continues functioning with almost no interference in the projectile stream (besides the one or so rounds.) The end of the muzzle is capped with a 5 chamber vortex flash hider that makes a large effect on decreasing the muzzle flash and smoke effects of the cannon improving pilot visibility without compromising power or effectiveness.

AVA 'Rickter' A12 Vulcan Cannon
Type: Three barreled, Gas Powered Gatling Cannon
Caliber: 25x135mm
Height: 105 mm
Width: 95 mm
Length: 1750 mm
Mass of Gun (w/ barrel): 85 kg
Dispersion: 5-7 milliradians, 90%+ circle
Rate of Fire: 1500-3000 rpm
Ammunition: Multiple 150 round Linkless, Helical, Closed loop, Cartridges (LHC)
Other: Back up geared electric motor for clearing unfired, or jammed cartridges
Cost: Negotiable

Though unusual in that it is a Gas operated Gatling, the AVA 'Rickter' we developed for the international export market as a High volume fire, quick spin up 25mm cannon. Though mechanically more complex than the 'Archer' aircraft cannon, it is electronically much simpler decreasing power supply drains on the housing aircraft, and increasing its overall effectiveness in smaller more rugged aircraft or vehicles. Utilizing a single piece cast striking system with multiple chambers, strike ramps, and barrels the 'Rickter' is capable of providing an astounding volume of fire in very lightweight cannon firing the potent and proven 25x135mm round.

Though the rate of fire can cut down on burst length the system is capable of operating off Multiple Hot-swappable Linkless, Helical, Closed loop, cartridges, these cartridges can be preloaded on the ground with a separate external power source and loaded into the aircraft or mount quickly and easily. These cartridges can contain the same or different ammunition types and can be selected 'on the fly' or mixed to create a continuous stream of rounds with a varying mix of projectiles. A handy feature of the weapon is an auxiliary drive unit (composed of a high torque electric motor) that allows the weapon to clear unfired or jammed cartridges that would normally prevent the weapon from functioning, without having to carry a separate magazine of blank cartridges improving overall functionability with no need to stop or wait the system automatically detects a deceleration, engages, clears the round and continues functioning with almost no interference in the projectile stream (besides the one or so rounds.) When ejected the rounds are collected and kept under control at all times, preventing free-flying brass from increasing an aircrafts RCS and decreasing any possibility of collateral damage from brass hitting a pilots own aircraft or a wing mans.

The internal support structure of the 'Rickter' is spiraled acting as a forced air circulator where as air is drawn in at the front from a smaller perforated section of the barrel cover and forced along the length of the fluted barrels where it heats up transferring heat from the barrels to the air around then, which is then forced through a larger perforated sleeve around the outside of the barrel cover. An optional Peltier Cooling tube (inserted between the intake and output perforations) similar to the one used on Archer A3/A4 cannon, allows for higher cooling rates at the cost of increased power consumption

Overall the Rictker is lethally effective in the air or ground, being very accurate for its size and weight, and can be mounted in a wide variety of mounts as needed Using a Uni-Mount system it can be easily replaced or moved to a new mount or aircraft quickly and easily, its light weight also facilitates its easy replacement requiring only three men to completely remove and or overhaul the system.

AN/S-3 Advanced Night Vision Goggles-
Generation: 4+
Magnification: Variable 1x-4x Optical
Field of view: 45 degrees
Distance of Man recognition: 350m
Resolution: 70-100lp/mm
Optic Diameter: 30mm
Power supply 2x 7.2v/2500mAh Nickel-Metal Hydride “AA size”
Continuous Operation: 36 hours w/ IR on
Operating Temperature -50°C to 50°C
Dimensions: 6”x3”x4.4”
Weight: 1.6 lbs
Cost: 2100.00 NSD each

Using an advanced VISTA (Visually Integrated Situation/Tactical Adviser) processor the AN/S-3 is at the bleeding edge of Night Vision Goggles. The system combines dual-band (visual Imaging Infrared TV (I2CCD) and a Passive fourth generation plus Night vision culminator covering 45x30 deg field of view. A special algorithm combines the two images into an enhanced picture. Color coding is used to highlight specific objects according to area of reflection and origin intensity (as detected by the PMD) allowing for a very clear and bright view in near total darkness. In total darkness the Device is equipped with two set of three IR LED’s in the 900 mcd range that produce no visible external light source but provide 30m worth of refractable Infrared light allowing for operation in any environment. The Image intensifier tube is slightly right aligned allowing for easier use of weapon sights without effecting the user sense of balance and is equipped with a light sensing Iris that can protect the wearer and intensifier tube in the face of a sudden burst of light. Though not capable of complete protection it can keep from leaving the user vulnerable and unprotected in an adverse situation.

To the Left of the Image intensifier tube sits a Special device known as a PMD. A Photonic Mixer Device or PMD which is a special solid state semi-conductor diode originally designed for the automotive industry. An infrared light source provided by natural environmental light (or the six IR LED’s) illuminates the scene in front of the wearer. Based on the differences in the time that the light signal requires to travel back from the various objects in the scene to the PMD, the sensory system computes a simple three-dimensional image. Every PMD pixel in the detector module simultaneously records the distance readings for the objects ahead of the wearer. The detector's field of vision has a horizontal sweep of 32 degrees and a vertical sweep of 16 degrees which is only slightly smaller than the goggles total field of view. The reading rate frequency is 300 hertz, meaning that a 3D image of the scene ahead is formed 300 times a second. Previously, sophisticated stereo camera technology and immense computing power were required to achieve a comparable level of technical "vision" and understanding of the scene in the field of vision. Weight and space restrictions also made fitting such a system into a goggle system impossible. Unlike similar radar or RF based systems, the PMD is able to sense the horizontal and vertical spread of the objects it detects instead of just general ‘there or not’ allowing for higher accuracy of target discernment and subsequently higher successful recognition rates without interference of ground clutter.

Tactical information can be overlaid into the goggles OLED display as required though the are is limited to that not covered by the PMD (essentially the top and bottom of the field of view) information hat can be displayed includes: A digital compass, way point direction and distance, current battery life, incoming message alerts and others. The Goggles are Bluefang 3.0 OPP ready and can be linked with up to eight devices for communication and establishment of a Tactical PAN (Personal Area Network). What does this mean in the long run? Altogether it allows the AN/S-3 to operate in all forms of lighting conditions, to provide a clear and detailed view of the surrounding environment (and in tight quarters the ability to literally ‘see’ the architectural lines of the hell way or room) and maintain practical in the field operations without the interference that a lack of light would provide.

M7 Modular Protective (Stab/FLAK) Vest-
Designed to provide protection against all reasonable indirect battlefield threats , The Model 7 vest is a counterpoint to the majority of battlefield protective devices in that its primary ideal; Flexibility is an odd contrast in the world of ‘bullet-proof’ vests. Drawing Inspiration from the armor of days past, primarily the Lorica Segmenta of the Roman Empire. Though inspired by the past the M7 is a thoroughly modern design constructed of four primary layers.

It is important to note that the M7 is not a true bullet-resistant vest, tis design is to protect rear line, and logistics personnel operating close tot he front, and though ti may not stop a bullet it may save their lives from one of the hundreds of other battlefield threats that exist.

-Layer One (user interface)-
Designed to be worn over thin clothing (jumpsuits, Op-shirts, etc) the inner layer is a ribbed treated cotton material designed to allow continuous airflow not only of the internal materials, but also air caught between the vest and the wearing decreasing the discomfort associated with long durations of wear. This material is also waterproof preventing the vest from being bogged down or molding from moisture damage.

Without this layer the vest would be a hot and uncomfortable affair relegated to only when absolutely necessary decreasing the overall protection of the wearer to ‘ideal’ situations, a condition that is no way relevant to combat. Woven to the inside (under the ridged cotton material) are the internal equivalent of suspenders evenly distributing the vests weight and loads of the vest in order to reduce the overall strain on the user during use.

-Layer Two (energy absorption)-
Arguably the protection a vest provides is reliant on the material that absorbs the energy of the round after the round has been stopped. Without such material the majority of the rounds energy would still be capable of rupturing organs, or snapping rips in half. It is then obvious why the M7 focuses so much on not only Absorption but Redistribution of the rounds energy.

Constructed a sandwich of EAF (Energy Absorbing Foam) (3mm) and PAR or Poly-Armaid fiber (1.5mm each) which has been reinforced by means of Shear thickening Fluid, or STF a mix of microscopic silica crystals supported in a solution of polyethylene glycol. This which acts as a support and means of transferring the shock of impact away from the impact area in order to decrease the overall effect of the impact on the wearer. Combined the 6mm of padding increase the number of rounds needed to exceed the wearers peak impact absorption (or point of bruising) now a round may still knock the wearer down by pure force alone, but the two layers in concert should redistribute the impact force to a level similar to that of being punched moderately.

Since different areas of the body react differently to impacts sections such as the stomach and sides of the abdomen are reinforced with a second layer of EAF and PAR in order to protect the more vulnerable internals in that section of the body. The semi-rigid nature of the PAR also helps to absorb any resultant fragments of armor or spalling that could occur upon a bullet striking the covering armor.

-Layer Three (armor)-
The Primary Armor of the M7 vest is comprised of 150, inch wide strips, 5mm thick overlapping 50% with the strip below to provide twice the thickness and twice the structural strength than a single strip could alone provide. The strips are composed of what is known as ‘Thermofiber’ or PEEK. The PEEK or Thermofiber material has excellent mechanical properties due to the fiber embedded semi-crystalline polymers, good thermal stability and good chemical resistance. the continuous service rating of 250°C. PEEK is inherently fire retardant. It has been said it is easier to burn a hole through an aluminum sheet than through a thermo fiber sheet. Likewise the near fiberglass method of construction requires less thermoplastic and decreases the overall cost in both resources and weight dramatically compared to a ceramic or alloy set up. Attached half way along the length of the strip is a half width strip that sticks behind the lower strip but is connect via fabric to the top strip to allowing for the strips to flex and expand without compromising the vests protection level.

The fabric covered strips run both the entire length of the front and back of the vest and the sides are protected by shorter strips which are weaved in at the ends to provide continuous protection on all sides. The side strips extend to cover the kidneys and small of the back for extra protection of the vital areas. The Shoulders are protected by a pair of molded plates which protect and cover the upper arm plates which at the joint to provide protection of the vulnerable veins and arteries of the upper arm.

Another potential area of threat is underneath the underarms, one cannot simply armor up the opening due to the restriction of mobility and the pain of chaffing such sensitive area, however there are options. A three sectioned plate (similar in profile to a tongue shape) cut into three equals sections (peace-sign wise) is fit into a special pocket on the inner side of the vest and is attached to the underarm protector via a swinging point. When the arm of the wearer is raised the flex plate is pulled out of its pocket and cover the previously exposed section, likewise when the arm is lowered the plate returns to its pocket out of the way. This allows the wearer to raise their arms to a comfortable and natural firing stance without exposing their armpits to fragments or shrapnel.

Attached to the shoulder and collarbone plates is a fix neck plate to protect the lower neck this is Covered by an extra thick layer of EAF in order to protect the neck in a whiplash type situation and provide ballistic protection against ricochets.

-Layer four (Outer most)-
Covering all the underlying layers is another thin layer of EAF covering by a rubberized nylon together acting as a protection against blunt impact trauma. Certain areas such as along the spine, collar bone and upper chest are giving additional protection to protect the wearer in the case of blast or impact from a rifle stock, though the vest cannot provide immunity to all threats it certainly provides a juggernaut like ability to withstand some of the more minor battlefield threats.

The outer surface utilizes a MOLE style modular attachment system for the addition of ammunition or equipment pouches as well as specialty pouches or mission specific items. The Vest is closed by means of three Adjustable Nylon Belts each with a ‘Tac-latch’ ™ Camlock system aligned with the firers primary hand providing the highest level of protection with gun up and chest towards an enemy. This was chosen for the assistance of medical field staff as the webbing could be easily cut of in the case of a penetration, or to be removed with the non primary hand with the weapon still secure in the primary hand. A cut away system is located underneath the wearers off hand side to allow for the vest to be quickly removed in times of stress or endangerment such as the vest becoming entangled in debris or caught on fire. The cut away ring is bead blasted and non reflective and is left somewhat rough on the inner diameter of the ring to aid its pulling in wet or other conditions. A quick pull removes the stitches of the shoulder, side and under arms plates which may then be pulled or fall free within seconds, this does of course ruin the vest but in an emergency situation where seconds count this can be a life saver.

M607 Advanced Underslung Grenade Launcher (AUGL)-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/AUGL.png

An under slung double action pump action 30mm grenade launcher, is loaded by a 3 round removable tube magazine built under the launchers barrel with an additional round in the chamber. The double action mechanism cocks the firing mechanism only when the trigger is pulled preventing an accidental discharge during an accidental drop or combat shock. Compared to the M203 GL which cocks the weapon upon closing the breach, the M607 remains completely safe until operation.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/grl.png

To load or unload the weapon the Fore-grip/slide must be pulled back as if to load a round on the chamber and locked at it rearmost position. The magazine tube may then be tipped forward and removed from the retaining fixture, likewise to reload; a new tube is placed against the retaining fixture and tipped upward into position, a round may then be manually inserted into the open breach of the weapon. when the fore-grip/slide is released the weapon is ready to function.

-30x90mm LV Projectiles

-M45 Fragmentation round.- A simple rimmed Separating base, prescored 30mm grenade with an accurate range of some 150m, and a maximum range of 300m the M45 produces 300 some fragments into the target are using a simple, but effective all ways impact fuse

-M60 White Phosphorous Incendiary round.- This white-capped round contains a filler of white phosphorous which spreads up to 15 meters after impact, creating an instant rising white smoke cloud and flame with a secondary incendiary effect against vegetation, personnel, and material.

-M108 Canister (Buckshot) round.- Essentially a large shotgun round with a range of 30 meters, this small cartridge with a flat, black nose, gives the rifleman effective firepower for close-in combat, and ship-to-ship boarding engagements.

-M109 Fletchette round- Similar in appearance to the M108 round but with 4 thin red lines on the caps front cover. Containing four 7mm hardened tungsten darts the M109 round has almost twice the effective range of the M-108 and is not as easily stopped by makeshift barricades or personal armor. This is considered one of the best choices for general use other than the M45 Fragmentary round.

-M250 Baton round.- This round fires a less-than-lethal polymer projectile capable of incapacitating or even disabling a lightly armored human, or most door locks. Primarily used during civil disturbances, A shot to the head or chest may incur a lethal effect depending on shot placement though the most common reports are that of broken bones, shock, concussion, Interruption of consciousness, loss of breath and the occasional burst appendix. This round is marked with a Purple cap

-M260 Advanced Aqueous Containment Foam round- Though generally frowned upon as a less-than-lethal weapon; Quick Setting Stabilized Aqueous Foam (aka 'sticky foam') is useful for a lot more than just gluing a rioter to a tree. An example being that adding 8% by volume of aqueous ammonia to the conventional mix gives the resulting hybrid a effective anti-bacterial, and anti-nerve agent effect by neutralizing the transferring agent. Aqueous foam is also long known for its ability to direct, and suppress explosions by at least a small percentage. This hybrid aqueous foam is highly useful for security personnel as it still allows for the conventional use of sticky foam as a non-lethal incapacitating agent of personnel and machines, but it also allows for the containment, and suppression of suspicious packages as well as being able to safely (read; from a distance) seal a chemical agent leak from a container. The M260 AACF round contains enough foaming agent to cover 3 square feet up to ranges of 15m accurately, and is marked by a clear cap filled with a blue liquid.

-M270 Breaching Round- Composed of compressed powdered steel the M270 round is non-offensive round for use in entry situation. The dense compressed metallic medium is highly effective against door locks, door hinges, padlocks, chains, handcuffs, or any other retaining devices or barricades encountered in everyday use. The round is also notably effective against intoxicated or armored personnel as a less-lethal option against extreme threats; this is not recommended by the manufacturer however.

-M330 SPS (Special Purpose, Silenced)- Designed for clandestine operations and ambushes the M330 projectile is a 30x90mm High Explosive Fragmentation Grenade utilizing 500 preformed fragments of TC3 alloy (as used in the M45 Dual-Purpose Grenade) creating a lethal radius of 10m and providing limited anti-vehicle capability along with its normal anti-personal capability. The case of the M330 is based off the Russian SP-4 'silent' ammunition which uses a reduced propelling charge and an enclosed piston inside the case to propel the round thereby containing both the muzzle flash and the majority of sound within the case. This gives an operative ample protection against discovery or counter-fire while providing a highly effective offensive capability.

T507 Multiple Foil Breaching Charge-

With the obvious need to enter many an area not open to IMPACT members the need for a compact easy to use multi-purpose breaching charge was an apparent need. However with the number of Hostage and disarming missions IMPACT team undertakes a large shape charge method that could quite literally liquefy a hostage or group of hostages on the other side was grim but potentially possible outcome. Seeking alternatives the Research Group at ATI turned to their Specialist in the Alraune Technologies group (later purchased by AVA) a rather small think tank of engineers that happened to have a few good ideas to make such a ‘safe’ breaching charge practical.

Designed for breach of both walls and doors for either direct entry or insertion of munitions the T-507 is composed of a cylinder 3.5 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep. Squaring off the cylinder are four ‘pads containing not only the fusing mechanisms, but also the waterproof sticky’ pads that allow to cling to almost any surface regardless of its construction; metallic or otherwise. These ‘sticky’ pads are really a mix of technologies, using a rubberized base the material is micro-ridged and then covered in a strong adhesive.. The Microscopic ridges act like a gecko’s foot holding the T507 to the surface and taking the strain off the adhesive so it can fully bond.

The Main charge is comprised of eighteen layers of a very thin copper foil similar to the mylar foil used in the construction of satellites. These eighteen sheets are separated by a thin layer of flux that not only holds the sheets together during storage and transport, but when the main charge is detonated the flux melts and keeps the foil separated despite its natural tendency to forge together to form a single liquid mass. However it does not keep the foil pieces themselves from liquefying and obeying their natural Monroe effect tendencies. The result is shaped charge jet that is ultimately composed of several separate foil sheets in one form or another. The jet then uses the combined energy of the sheets and its high Kinetic Energy to penetrate up to 6 inches of steel or a reinforced door, or armored lock, or a plane door… or truly any material that would stand in the way of an operative.

After penetrating because the individual sheets are so light the sheets separate into what is essentially chaff and are mostly harmless to the occupants on the other side of the door. This allows its widespread use without the worry of injuring any possible friendly units on the other side or its use in CQB operation

Robertson Arms Mamba SP-8 Submachine gun/personal defense weapon.

[Suppressed Variant.] (http://orbital.weapon.system.googlepages.com/mambasupressed.PNG)

The Mamba serves as the Izistani second tier submachine gun and personal defense weapon. Developed in order to provide a cheap mass producable back up to the Northern Expansite BPSMG and Mekugian Cricket, the Mamba has also found users in military police, law enforcement, the ARM, and mercenary outfits. It has also been known to show up in the hands of front line troops from time to time.

The design was inspired by the experimental German ERMA EMP 44 (http://securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/2100/2159.htm), with the Mamba's receiver and barrel shroud made from a single machined pipe. The action is uses the simple blowback method of operation, and fires from a open bolt. As a result the weapon is [i]extremely reliable. The magazine housing doubles as a hand grip, with a commercially available MAC 10 magazine being used. The safety is a simple Cross bolt model ahead of the trigger. Firing modes are automatic and semi automatic, controlled by a two stage trigger. Field stripping is accomplished without tools (for example, the muzzle break is screwed off, the screw cap on the back is undone, the spring and bolt slide out along with the barrel assembly). The Mamba also has a extensible stock similar to that of the M3's. Firing rate is set at five hundred rounds per minute for controllability.

The iron sights are self illuminating and fold down when a accessory is mounted, a reflex sight is factory fitted for Izistani service. A tactical light/laser can be mounted under the barrel shroud on the M1913 rail there. Sling attachment points are also included with the weapon for ease of transport.

P3 Next Generation Lightweight Revolver-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/Tanks/NGLWR.png
Type: Double Action
Chamber: 9.8x23mm, or 10x30mm
Weight: 912g empty; 1088g loaded
Length: 232mm (4" barrel)
Barrel length: 102mm (4"), also available 152mm BBL (6")
Capacity: 6 rounds

Though heavier than the P30 the NGLWR is surprisingly popular with those who choose it over the P30 due to its compact size and die hard reliability. Safety is ambidextrous and is quickly engaged or disengaged even under stress. Sights contain Tritium inserts and the under barrel rail can accept a wide variety of accessories. The Picatinny style heat rib above the barrel will also accept many different after market optical scopes and lights. With both rails containaing an accessory barrel climb is nearly nonexistent.

The reliability of the P3 is legendary with plenty of head space between cylinder and barrel prevents fouling and allows for its dependable use in almost any environment. A hand ejector, the P3 is capable of using inter-chamber silenced rounds, as well as traditional rounds. Its a legendary weapon for Guards, and other non primary combatants due to its high reliability and compact form

Pistol, Model 30 Caliber .40-
Type: CDA, Delayed Blowback
Chamber: 10x25mm
Weight: 845g empty; 1131g (13 rounds)/1285g (20 rounds) loaded
Length: 240 mm
Barrel length: 150 mm
Capacity: 13 or 20 rounds
Price: 350.00 NSD

Overview-
The Pistol, Model 30 Caliber .40 or AVA (formerly ALPHAtech) P30 is a delayed blowback operated, semi-automatic pistol. Featuring a rotating, but not reciprocating, barrel, which has two large lugs machined into the barrel: one under the chamber is engaged into the frame and allows to the barrel to rotate but not to move back or forward. The other lug, on the upper surface of the barrel, is engaged in a curved notch inside the slide. When pistol is fired, the barrel inertia and the bullet torque act against the blowback force of the slide via a sloped notch. When bullet leaves the barrel, the slide rotates the barrel and retracts to cycle the action. By channeling part of the recoil energy into barrel rotation, and by partially absorbing the barrel and slide recoil shock through the central block before it is transferred to the frame, the P30 achieves unusually low felt recoil. When the slide is in battery, the positive lock-up of barrel to slide assures perfect alignment of barrel and sights. Upon firing, the barrel travels and rotates with little to no lateral movement off center. The result is superior accuracy and quicker recovery for a follow-up shot. The P30 is equipped with probably one of the most ergonomic grips since the Luger pistol. The ideal grip angle, combined with low barrel axis, result in minimum muzzle jump and additionally lowered felt recoil, as well as excellent "pointability" with a flared magazine well as standard the combined features make for one of the most controllable, reliable, and comfortable service pistols available for military service today.

Ammunition-
The P30 pistol fires a potent 10x25mm round which propels a 200 grain .40 caliber projectile at 1500 fps generating 999 ft-lbs of KE or a TRSP of 17. Muzzle flash, though more substantial than a .45 ACP round is limited and noticeably less than a traditional 10mm or .357 round. The standard duty round is a GSJHP or Glaser Special Jacketed Hollow Point round which is a unique JHP round with a large tear drop shaped cavity with a small opening at the tip that gradually widens as the cavity descends. This cavity has been filled with 30-40 small tungsten spheres (#4 shot) which due to the shape of the cavity and the small initial opening, upon impact with a hard target the tip deforms pinching the opening closed and allows it to punch through the target much like a traditional FMJ round, but against soft targets the round 'blooms' and fragments rapidly after penetration generating grievous incapacitating wounds against soft tissue, making it highly effective in a self defense role. Due to its high velocity, and bullet design this round will defeat NATO CRISAT armor up to 50m and will crack & defeat ceramic level III rated plates at 15m. Overall the round is noted for; controlled expansion, penetration, and proven lethality against multiple threats types.

Construction-
The slide is constructed entirely of bead blasted blued Molybnium-coated alloy steel that although is heavier than a comparable formed steel pistols and is much more durable, and abuse-resistant. The slide rides on four hardened internal rails, machined on the inside of the frame instead of on the slide itself. This system, originally on the Swiss SIG P210 pistol, provides a smoother cycle action and better tolerances, resulting in greater accuracy. The system is amazingly easy to field strip comprising of only 5 major modular parts: The Slide (and firing pin), the modular trigger group (& Hammer system), the barrel (with captive recoil spring), frame, and the magazine. The Trigger group is easily replaceable as it is one solid modular unit, and can be swapped out for a traditional SA or DA/DAO action if preferred. Part of the modular trigger system are two reinforced steel feed rails which help increase the reliability of the weapon as it adds lateral support to the rounds as they are loaded into the chamber from the magazine(ala Tokarev.) Along the bottom of the lower frame is a M1913 regulation accessory rail to increase the flexibility of the system. Upon delivery the pistol comes with two 13 round staggered column magazines standard, with the option of upgrading to a 20 round double column magazine at the customers request.

Operation-
The P30 uses a unique CDA (Combat Defense action) trigger group which features a hammer fired system with a two piece hammer. Along both sides of the conventional DAO hammer there is a cocking piece which acts (and is essentially) like an SA concealed internal hammer, and can be cocked via the retraction of the slide. When the slide goes back into the closed position, the external hammer returns to battery like any other DAO hammer under the its own hammer spring, but the cocking piece remains in the cocked position inside the slide, with main spring loaded. When operator squeezes the trigger, the external hammer is retracted all the way back, but due to the low power of the hammer spring, the trigger weight is much lower than in conventional DAO pistols (about 2-3.3 kg compared to 5-8 kg.) When the hammer goes back all the way, the trigger mechanism releases the cocking piece, which acts on the hammer and forces it onto the firing pin with the power of the main spring and the hammer spring, to fire the cartridge. This unusual action allows for the ease, and speed of carrying a cocked and locked SA pistol, but the safety and security of a modern DAO pistol. The weapon contains no external safeties for ease of use, but is equipped with an internal automatic safety slaved to the trigger mechanism that prevents the internal hammer from releasing prematurely. A simple ambidextrous decocking button is located just behind the slide release lever for the safe release of the internal hammer to prevent long term wear on the main hammer spring.

Sights-
Sights are of fixed front with adjustable rear layout with the fixed front sight blade partially concealed within a longitudinal groove on the top of the slide so as to smooth out its profile, and increase the speed at which it can be withdrawn from its holster. An interesting feature is the shooter information window. This indicator is made in the form of a small square window at the lower center line of the rear sight which is usually black when unloaded, but when the gun is cocked and loaded a red square slides into view allowing for instant referral as to the state of the weapon. Likewise when only three or less rounds are left in the magazine or should their be a malfunction (such as a type one or type two malfunction which would prevent the pistol from returning to battery) a bright red X on a black background slides into the window alerting the shooter to the weapons status.

Lee-Nordenfeldt Rifle No. 8 - 6.5x55mm - 11x43mm Kurz Mauser

Cartridge: 6.5x55mm Mauser, 11x43mm Kurz Mauser
Action: Gas operated, vertically locking lug.
Length: 900 mm (35 in.)
Barrel: 355 mm (14 in.)
Weight: 4.2 kg, empty.
Magazine: 10, 20 round, detachable box, 45 detachable drum.

The No. 8 rifle was conceived as a more modern and updated add-on to the No. 7 series of semi-automatic rifles for use by special forces teams and elite military groups. The most obvious difference is the change in length, the rifle has been radically shortened to make it more handy in close quarters battle and compact for transport. Operation of the weapon is exactly the same as that of the No. 7 series of rifles. The No. 8 is in use by a multitude of special forces groups including the renowned Black Flutes.

KEY CHANGES:

- A shortened barrel, stock, and gas piston assembly.

- The gas piston tube and ventilated metal handguard have been deleted and replaced with a one-piece machined aluminum replacement. The Forward Rail Assembly comprises attachment rails at the 3, 9, and 12 o'clock positions. The top rail runs the full length of the rifle allowing the attachment of any standard sighting device. The FRA acts as the replacement gas tube for the piston to ride in reducing weight.

- A folding tubular metal stock is attached folding to the left when the release is pressed. While folded, the butt can be used as a vertical grip if necessary.

- Fixed sights have been deleted and replaced by folding combat sights attached to the top rail and are folded out of the way when an optical sight is in use or co-witnessed.

- A large and very effective flash suppressor/muzzle brake added to the end of the barrel in place of the original slant muzzle brake.

VARIANTS:

No. 8 Mk. 1 - Standard carbine variant with folding metal stock.

No. 8 Mk. 2 - Heavy barreled version used for the squad automatic rifle roll utilizing the standard 20 round box magazine or 45 round drum.

No. 8 Mk. 3 - Standard carbine rebarreled to fire a 11mm projectile for situations where high stopping power and low penetration are required such as in a hostage rescue scenario.

RMI Mk. 1 Four-Centimeter - Hand Grenade

Diameter: 40mm
Weight: 226g (8 oz)
Lethal Radius: 10 m (fragmentation model)
Detonator: Pyrotechnic delay fuse 3-5 seconds (variable in manufacturing)
Explosive: Poured HE
Cost: $25

The Mk.1 4CHG was designed to be perfectly round and compact so that it could be rolled toward a target around a corner without the risk of it stopping short and having a predictable path. It can also be bounced off of a wall due to the casing's plastic nature to make it ricochet around a corner. The detonator is of the standard spoon and pin type. The casing is a hard polymer that on detonation creates burning molten fragments that stick to things or potentially lethal shards. The outer casing has a spiral groove manufactured into it so that if desired, notched steel wire can be wound around it at the factory or small steel spheres affixed to the grooves in variable layers. These grenades are the size of a golf ball allowing the user to carry more and employ them in a wider variety of situations where a larger hand grenade would be inappropriate.

The Breyr semi-automatic pistol is now an old and venerable design analogous to that of the Browning-designed M1911. Originally, the Northern Expanse used an eclectic mix of semi-automatic pistols adopted around the turn of the century by the various military branches while the main army still retained the massive .454 gas-operated revolvers for its fading horsed cavalry and the common top break Model 3 revolver for infantry officer use. This all came to an abrupt halt when commanding General of Cavalry Troops stomped into the office of the General of the Armies who was doing paperwork at the time and without a word extracted a pistol from his duster and proceeded to drop it on the desk with a thud. The General sat there staring, pen still in hand, "I'm tired of that." he pronounced while pulling another, different, pistol from his pocket "And this." followed by four pistols all of different makes followed by "And this," before finally extracting one of the large .454 gas revolvers and dropping it right in front of the General of Armies "And this bloody monster. Do something about it, please. You'll have my report by this afternoon." Snapping a perfect salute from his cadet days, he about faced and marched out.

Thus began the process that resulted later that year in the trial and adoption of the Breyr Semi-Automatic Pistol No. 1 in 9.8x23mm ACp caliber for general army and militia issue. This design was a healthy mix of several pistols that had been dropped onto the desk that day of the General of the Armies. Little did that General of the Cavalry expect that day that he would be pulled from active duty and placed in charge of the Ordnance Department overseeing the civilian company Raven Automatic Arms (now Raven Munitions Industries) in designing and producing the pistol under government contract. Nor did he expect to be best known in history for having this pistol of legendary reliability named after him, General Breyr.

The Breyr No. 1 is used widely by The Northern Expanse Armed Forces and Militias in 9.8mm ACP and offered for export as well in 9mm Parabellum to those nations still using the older cartridge. The Breyr No. 2 is made in .45 ACP for both the civilian and special operations command. Since it is presumed that special forces operators receive more practice with a pistol than the average Army officer, they could benefit more from the larger cartridge and not need as many rounds in a single magazine.

---

The Breyr pistol is a recoil operated locked breech pistol using a rotating barrel to lock the chamber at the moment of firing. This rotating barrel is locked into the slide by two lugs above the chamber and unlocked by a large and durable curved lug that fits into a corresponding slot in the frame forcing it to rotate on firing. Use of this type of rotating barrel, borrowed from the M1912 Steyr-Hahn pistol, provides for a much lower profile than other common pistols using a Browning-type tilting barrel and cam below the barrel. This reduces the recoil by a measurable amount making the recoil forces come straight back into the palm of the hand and the weight of the barrel must be rotated which absorbs more recoil itself. The fact that the barrel is fully supported throughout its length at the front and rear chamber area contributes to outstanding accuracy for a service pistol.

The trigger mechanism is of the single-action type with an external hammer at the rear of the frame. There is a manual safety located on the rear of the frame on both sides within easy reach of the thumb; up is safe and down is fire. Forward of the safety is the slide release for thumb operation though it is often suggested that the slide be tugged back and released to chamber a new cartridge. The extractor is located at the top of the chamber and is sufficiently wide to grasp the rim of the casing even when fouled. The extractor also acts as both a tactile and visual indicator of a loaded chamber as it protrudes from the top of the slide when the pistol is loaded. Sights are of the standard notch type and dovetailed into the slide for easy adjustment and replacement. There is no provision for drop adjustment.

Grips may be found in any number of materials and shapes to suit a user and are easily replaced by a screw being removed which can be accomplished using parts from the pistol.

Notes for No. 1 Mk. 2 - The No.1 Mk.2 pistol is a fairly recent development of the Breyr into a select-fire machine pistol for those which need the power of submachinegun but not the bulk, such as bodyguards and some special forces personnel. These are instructed to be used as "pocket shotguns" rather than miniature submachineguns since even with the attachable shoulder stock, these are usually not as accurate as a full sized submachinegun on automatic. This, however, is clearly sufficient for short range defense and room clearing. The barrel is of an elongated variant with two cuts in the top to direct the gases upward helping to compensate for muzzle climb. A folding forward grip is located below the frame and is folded down by the left hand and thumb inserted into the front of the enlarged trigger guard. The fire selector is located in the same position as the manual safety on the left of the frame. It rides under the manual safety and has a projection which interacts with the slide as it cycles to reset the trigger mechanism and prevent run-away incidents. A shoulder stock/holster may be attached to the rear of the grip affording better control and accuracy or the pistol can be carried in a normal holster. Both standard 12 round and 24 round magazines may be utilized.

Feed: Helical drum magazine, 300 rounds.
Rate of fire: 730 rounds/min
Fire modes: 0, 1, 2, 300
Maximum effective range: 620 meters

Cartridge - 10x30 mm
FMJ - 6x25 mm
Flechette - 2x23 mm

The Revolver Machinegun Mk. III was developed by Raven Munitions Industries to be used against men in armor and for durations in a vacuum environment. From the outset a streamlined design with minimal complications and simple operation was a key goal of the project. An original prototype with multiple, rotating barrels and gas system was dropped partially due to weight but mainly because it was decided the concept could be better put to use in another role. To retain the rate of fire, simplicity, and durability, part of the rotating system was kept in the form of a revolving cylinder housing three chambers but firing from one barrel and using one gas piston. One for loading, one for firing, and one for ejecting if a cartridge fails. The RMG-3 fires caseless 2 mm saboted flechettes or standard 6 mm FMJ that feed from a helical drum magazine situated above the barrel (the firing chamber being the one in the bottom position) that pivots into place from the top of the weapon. This system not only keeps the rate of fire sufficiently high but overheating and wear on the chambers at a minimum.

A round feeds from the helical drum through the rear face of it directly into the front of the loading chamber before being rotated down to fire. Firing is achieved through a striker and bolt locking through a pivoting lug that firmly locks the entire action at the moment of ignition. The gas piston is located below the barrel inside of the handguard. After a sharp tap rearward from the piston, a lug on the forward upper surface of the bolt carrier engages a track in the underside of the cylinder forcing it to rotate clockwise, as seen from the rear, and bring the chambers into alignment to accept a new cartridge and fire. There are three gas positions controlled by the rotation of the barrel from the handle located at the muzzle. This can quickly and easily be done without any tools or takedown of the weapon by pressing the barrel release and moving it right or left for a higher gas setting. Under normal operation, the gas setting should remain at the first position to minimize undue wear on the system. The rear sight/carrying handle can be replaced with a standard rail system to mount optical devices and rails can be mounted to each side of the barrel jacket as well.

Unlike most hand held revolver that allow gases to escape between the chamber face and barrel, the RMG-3 prevents this by the beveled surfaces of the cylinder and breech being tightly machined and piston cuts in the head of the bolt which actually follows the cartridge into the chamber for firing. In the case of a misfire, the bolt handle located in front of the trigger guard is pulled sharply to the rear rotating the cylinder and shoving the unspent round out of the front of the ejection chamber on the forward return of the bolt.

This design would also allow the use of Cased Telescoped Ammunition (CTA) with very little or no change at all to any major components if the user so wished. While it is of little concern in most theaters, it has been shown that the caseless variety of ammunition is more reliable in a vacuum environment since there is no case to weld itself to the chamber. This can be avoided by using a special coating on the cases however thus far the cost of such coating has been prohibitive and is not suggested by RMI.

The RMG-3 is currently in use by Northern Expanse special forces and in limited, but growing, numbers by the Izistani military.

Cartridge: 12.7x99mm, 12.7x108mm, 14.5x115mm, 13x120mm AAE
Operation: Straight pull, rotating bolt.
Overall Length: 115 cm
Barrel Length: 75/90 cm
Feed Device: 5, 10 Round Detachable Box Magazine
Sights: Rail system
Weight: 10.02 kg empty, without scope
Expected accuracy: 1 MOA* or better with match grade ammunition
Maximum Effective Range: about 1700 meters (conditions vary)

This rifle fires a a variety of cartridges, including the 13mm Armor Action Express, from either a five or ten round magazine inserted through the left rear side. Ejection is through a port on the right opposite of the magazine. Locking is controlled through a three-lug bolt moving within the receiver of the rifle. A handle on the lower left facet of the octagonal receiver acts to move the bolt in a straight pull fashion back and forth; when not in use, the handle's spring keeps it against the rifle body. This action facilitates rapid and smooth delivery of rounds to the chamber without the complexity of an automatic system. Mounted on top of the receiver is an exhaust tube to help counter recoil along with the large two-stage muzzle brake. The exhaust tube can be removed for a lighter and less bulky rifle though with an albeit heavier recoil. This practice is advised against for firing anything above the 12.7x99mm round. The pistol grip is located in front of the shoulder brace with the safety situated on the left side for easy access by the firing hand's thumb. Forward of the psitol grip is the mounting hole at the end of the receiver for a bipod or verticle foregrip depending on the user's needs.

The rifle can be outfitted for four different cartridges: 12.7x99mm, 12.7x108mm, 14.5x115mm, and 13x120mm AAE. This is done by the replacement of the barrel, bolt, and magazine housing by the field operator or armorer. Each cartridge set comes in a backpackable carrying case, including two magazines, making instant use of captured ammunition in the field a feasible option by the scout sniper or for the cost effective disposal of captured equipment and munitions. There are currently two barrel lengths for the 12.7mm cartridges, 75 cm (shown) and 90 cm. The unique placement of the magazine and bulk of the operating mechanism above and slightly behind the operator's shoulder makes for a more balanced and user-friendly rifle. Aiming devices are mounted on a standard rail to the top side of the receiver using the screw mount holes there. Some aiming devices might require a standard bracket (included) for them to be readily viewable by the user.

To operate the rifle:
1. Place the safety in the UPPER (SAFE) position.
2. Insert a loaded magazine into the well, rocking backwards slightly.
3. Grasp the bolt handle and pull it sharply to the rear and forward again. This will open the dust cover and load a cartridge into the chamber.
4. Place the safety in the LOWER (FIRE) position.
5. Check your target and any collateral targets for safety.
6. Take up the slack on the trigger, make sure of your target, and fire.
7. Place the safety in the UPPER (SAFE) position and check target.

* Left-handed receivers are available on special order.
** Straight bolt handle as option.

Brief History:

The NEAK RAR-4 ( Northern Expanse Avtomat Kalashnikova - Raven Assault Rifle 4) started life nine short years after the Long Patriotic War in the, then, young research division of Raven Automatic Arms (now RMI), a small arms company started by Idris Malik and Grigori Fyodorov. Having failed to gain acceptance of their novel semi-automatic rifle design in trials against the Belgian RRL 34 directly after the war, and only having kept afloat through sporting sales of the design, the company looked toward the future and acquired several samples of the newest firearms on the world market along with prototypes from the foregone Long War. Studying these beside reports of the trends of combat encountered by all sides in the main theaters of the war, RAA came to the conclusion that very few (including the defeated) had arrived at: The long rifle had its day and was now mostly overkill on the modern battlefield of the time. It had become inefficient and obsolete as the main longarm of the highly mobile armies of the world.

What was required was a new type of smallarm, one capable of being carried easily and compactly, capable of a large volume of fire under control, and containing in its magazine a high ammunition count while still remaining light. Thankfully, while this concept was still very new and the antithesis to most military thinking at the time, it was not untried. Amongst the samples they had gathered, was the Avtomat Kalashnikova of 46. Though not an easy task to get these few samples, they stood out as the most reliable and rough handling, traits highly prized by Expansites with their large nation's diverse terrain. The accuracy was slightly less than what was to be desired but with a tighter, slightly longer barrel, and better manufacturing, it could be improved measurably. A process of improvement, modification, and adaptation of the design to a form that RAA thought would be desirable by the Expanse military began and continued for two years. Certain features and ideas were adopted from the other designs, RAA's own work, and even their rival's RLL 34 currently in service with the military.

In the end, what resulted was a much improved and even more modern example of smallarms design than the original rifle with an outlook toward the future, uprating, easy field repair, and adaptation to a given situation. It was true that the antecedent rifle was a good all-around fighter, however, Malik and Fyodorov wanted to make their design be a very good implement in most situations. One situation they did not plan for it to excel at was as a long-range sniper weapon. The accuracy had been improved a good deal but both lead designers felt that the roll of a marksman's weapon would be much better fulfilled by existing long rifles utilizing a rifle cartridge and scope.

Even with such a remarkable weapon, the acceptance and adoption of the RAR-4 was a precarious and peculiar path toward military use: At the time that the design was entering its final phase of development, the Expanse was engaged in the attempted suppression of rebel forces in the southern region of Larp, an area co-administrated by the Expanse and Kzagblech both of which had a good number of settlers there. The Kzags being better at civil administration and development, the Expanse was being relied on for most of the military force used against the rebels. The rebels consisted of what was left of the Larpian clans who were so diminished in numbers from almost non-stop infighting that the League of Aligned Northern Nations had classified the area as Type 4 for "Nearly Uninhabited" and authorized it for resettling in the first place. The Larpians saw the colonization as aggression by larger nations against what they considered their territory. They instituted a program, if you could call something so disorganized such, of "moral ethnic cleansing" against the settlers of both nations. To further the preposterous nature of their actions, the fact that the settlers from the Expanse were of no one ethnic makeup seemed to have been avoided in their "program" completely and everyone not of a local clan who entered the region was targeted for violence.

Unfortunately for the Expansite army, they were armed with long rifles in terrain that was both craggy, mountainous, and heavily forested in places making it ideal for ambush and their armored vehicles were of little use if they wished to accomplish anything of merit. Hindering their efforts further was the locals' detailed knowledge of the terrain, their ability to live almost anywhere in the gorges and valleys studded with caves and rilles, and their mysterious acquisition of surplus arms from the defeated Altern through, at the time, unknown channels. These arms included machineguns, rocket launchers, and perhaps most devastating of all, prototype assault rifles. What resulted was a guerrilla force equipped with modern weapons that refused to be pinned down and in the case of longarms, outgunned the Expanse soldiers. With their assault rifles, the Larpers were able to emerge from ambush, laying down a withering outpouring of fire before disappearing again.

Needless to say, this course of events was doing little for morale and even less to further the campaign against the rebels. Although the official news didn't mention that progress wasn't being made in part due to the rebel's firearms, Fyodorov and Malik were able to read between the lines and saw this as their chance to push the RNE's military forward into the next generation. RAA began submitting requests for trials at every level of government, from the local Watch to the highest level including the military itself. Taking their rifle to those which acknowledged their requests for an interview, if not a trial, they displayed its abilities and worked their way upward. Eventually they reached military trials and ran into a wall of denial and refusal to believe that anything but a full rifles would be adequate for the military, going so far as to write it off as nothing more than an over-complicated submachinegun.

Thankfully, at the time, a new Imperator had come into office who was looking for a solution to the Larpian problem without sending the entire military into the region. What he saw, in succession, was the request for an interview from Fyodorov and Malik, the glowing recommendations of several local branches of government and military, and finally the army's utter rejection of it by calling it a "toy". Interest piqued by this sequence of events, he granted the two designers an interview where they described their rifle and why it should be adopted by the armed forces. After a thorough exposition of the two existing models at the time, the rifle and LMG variants, the Imperator was suitably impressed to order the aghast military to arm a Republic Expeditionary Force (REF) with the new rifle and send them into the region for field trials. As they say, the rest is history. The new rifle performed admirably well in Larp, which has become a Free Economic Zone still under co-Expanse-Kzag administration, and went on to be adopted by all of the armed forces along with the Izistani military some short years later in their local 7.25x42mm chambering. A huge number have been exported to other nations in all its forms and repeatedly acclaimed as accurate, reliable, and trustworthy.

Technical Description:

The RAR-4 is a long stroke gas-operated rifle with a rotating bolt locking the chamber with three lugs. The gas system is located above the barrel and consists of cylinder and piston. On top of the cylinder is attached a Picatinny rail running its full length. Various attachments (such as laser designators, flashlights) may be mounted here to the side using special horizontal brackets that don't block the line of sight. The gas tube has no furniture of its own but is protected from the sides by the lower foreguard. There is a four position gas valve, three settings and one cutoff position. The receiver is comprised of two sections: A machined center section which is attached directly to the forward trunnion and barrel while providing two rails going to the rear for the bolt to ride on. The dust cover attaches on top of this as well. On either side of the upper receiver are two lugs for attaching a mounting bracket for telescopic sights. Secondly, a lower magazine and trigger unit housing that is hinged to the upper receiver at the front and can be swung down and removed for cleaning or replacement with the removal of the stock. The magazine catch is of the normal lever type and is quite strong. Just above the magazine catch is the bolt stop release button located on the left side of the lower receiver. Rearward of this is the fire mode selector: Safe, semi-automatic fire, and full automatic fire. The bolt handle is located on the left side of the receiver and the ejection port is on the right side, a casing deflector is mounted just behind it as part of the dust cover.

The barrel is mounted with a long slit-type muzzlebrake-flash hider that also acts as a bayonet mount. All of the current furniture is a polymer composite material making it very durable and resistant to temperature and weather changes. The front sight is a blade type adjustable for windage and elevation adjustment while the rear is a sliding diopter adjustable to 800 meters. The lower foreguard can be removed and replaced with a special one for mounting several types of shotgun and grenade launching systems. There are several variations to the standard rifle design:

RAR-4C - This is simply a shortened version of the standard rifle with a 30.5 cm barrel and slant type muzzle brake on it. This version can be equipped with the folding polymer stock.

RAR-4C9 - This version is the carbine with a 9mm barrel chambered for the CQB 9x42mm cartridge. All other aspects of the rifle are the same including the bolt face and magazines used.

RAR-4LMG - The lower receiver is replaced with a special one containing a belt feed system and deleting the bolt hold open device. The bolt is also replaced and fires from the open position while automatic is selected and closed position while in semi-automatic mode. The bottom of the belt feedway may be opened by depressing the button forward of the trigger guard so that jams can be cleared or to be cleaned. No other changes to the rifle are necessary. Disintegrating or non-disintegrating belts with starter tabs are used along with hard polymer boxes. An optional bipod can be easily and quickly attached at the front sling point. The folding polymer stock can not be used on this model.

Triple Cross spray is fully approved for external and internal use and is completely non-toxic, hypo allergenic. and not addictive. Though not designed to stop major internal or arterial bleeding, Triple Cross spray in conjunction with proper application of gauze and or a tourniquet can stabilize the wounded person with relative efficiency.

The compact applicator appears very similar to a modern Mace© self defense spray in that it has a protected polymer cylindrical grip with a sterile metal applicator nozzle and a large thumb button on top of the spray can. Instructions are printed into the grip and state simply ‘Place nozzle above puncture or wound, and spray’ for best result wrapping the area in sterile gauze or other clean bandage is recommended.

Inflatable Limb Support-

Designed with multi-purpose efficiency in mind the ILS is a inflatable sleeve that is slipped around the wounded limb and both ends secured with included Velcro straps and the sleeve is inflated by a small one time use internal CO2 supply in the sleeve. While inflated the Limb is immobilized without the use of a cumbersome splint, and can apply gentle or stiff pressure to a wound area to control bleeding depending on how inflated the sleeve is. The ILS has four pockets along its length to hold heat or cold packs the inner anti-bacterial lining will keep an appendage wound infection free for over 24 hours. A useful and handy piece of equipment a soldier or medic should not be without.

Airpen Auto-injection System-

Seeking a quick, painless, and cheap solution to autopen system then in use, that would allow for immediate field vaccination of troops against agents ranging from Chemical weapons to malaria, or even pain pain relief, the Airpen was developed after two years of laborious experimentation and laboratory testing.

The Airpen is a small device, about the same size as a 7.62 NATO cartridge (D:8mm L: 65mm)and is a one time use device. Where as larger systems are available for mass vaccination the Airpen device allows for soldier level use with little training and quick reaction to medical needs. The Airpen uses a two chamber system, taking up the majority of the space is a small reservoir of helium gas, a small chamber at the mouth of the pen contains the powdered agent in sufficient amount to achieve the desired effect.

Operation is simple, one turns the cap 180 degrees till it extends slightly. The Airpen is then placed against bare skin and the cap depressed injecting the agent. Requiring no needles the Airpen deposits the powdered agent just above the nerve endings meaning no pain, and the powdered agent required is less than 1/1000th that of a liquid vaccine, and without the need for refrigeration.

With less medical disposal or storage needs, and no pain, the Airpen system is highly efficient as a trauma or battlefield medical device and has seen wide spread use all over the Republic.

Diameter: 8 mm

Subject: Armament Procurement

Finally, an official address we can send in our procurement orders to! ISOF-C² and the [i]Fuermak [armed forces] congratulate you on the opening of the new cooperative export company. The catalog, easily said, is quite impressive. We were astonished with the amount of equipment we could purchase from a single source. As a consequence, this is a rather large order. It's fortunate that ISOF-C² has the liberty of procuring from whom they please due to the nature of the personnel they were equipping [special forces] or else we would have been forced to purchase from Kriegzimmer. Kriegzimmer, as you are most likely aware, does not have a large selection and local indigenous development programs have largely been put on hold. And so, we come to you.

We have chosen a new assault rifle for SOF - all ISOF-C² soldiers. This is the Lee-Nordenfeldt Rifle No. 8 re-chambered to accept the indigenous 6.64 Orchomenos [6.64x51mm]. Furthermore, ISOF-C² standards require an indigenous muzzle break - the same as that of the Hali-53 [The Northern Expanse, this would be exactly the same as what was included in the CETME Mod. XR, if you recall]. Including enough rifles to immediately replace damaged rifles in the field the order for the No. 8 would be for a total of 67,000 Mk. I rifles. Furthermore, ISOF-C² wishes to put in an order for 23,000 Mk. II squad automatic weapons . Furthermore, we would like to put in an order for 82,000 AVA Model 30 pistols. If possible, and no matter the additional charge, we would also like to procure the rights to indigenously produce the 10x25mm round used by the Model 30. The Model 30 will become the standard sidearm of all SOF personnel although they retain the right to select their if they would like to - expect personal orders.

As a heavy weapon of choice ISOF-C² wishes to include 11,000 RMI Mk. III heavy machine guns to be spread selectively in certain groups for certain missions. Furthermore, we'd like to procure the same amount [11,000] of M607s, produced by AVA. Finally, we would like to procure a total of 230,000 sets of the AN/S-3 NVGs for our SOF personnel. The night vision gear should come to a total of $4.83 billion, while the pistols would cost $28.7 million. We're not sure what the total would come for the rest of the order, since the prices are not mentioned in the current version of your catalog.

ISOF-C² would like to pay the entire order throughout a period of three years if that would be possible, dividing it into thirty-six equal [as much as possible] monthly payments. We hope that this is acceptable. If not ISOF-C² is willing to negotiate a better payment plan and method. We would, again, like to congratulate all of the cooperating manufacturers of the Havenic Trading Company on their astonishing catalog and their equipment. Furthermore, the [i]Ejermacht is expected to put in their own order for equipment for their ground personnel in the near future.

Thank you for your patience,

Official response from J.E. Renken, Ministry of Defense, Office of Procurement:

You have some rather interesting products; out of the scope of those normally supplied by international dealers. What interests me the most, and indeed the whole of the Candrian armed forces, however, are some of the medical supplies you have available - the Airpen injector system, the Triple Cross Spray, and the Inflatable Limb Support. These products are invaluable to battlefield medicine, and are made more valuable by our forces as their nearest equivalent, if any, is far more cumbersome and troubling. However, a direct order of several billion of all these products, to stock military & civilian hospitals and first-aid kits, would prove extremely awkward - shipments of the like would no doubt face threats of interception from organized crime expecting a final showdown with the Candrian government, the current political atmosphere as it is. With this in mind, I'd like to inquire about domestic production rights on these three products; considering they are not of particular secrecy of any sort, I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem?

Dear Mr. Renken,

You are quite correct that large orders can become cumbersome to export, tarriffs, and taxes becoming quite the issue at times. As such we would be quite willing to give you the production rights for a a Menuki (1.50 NSD or so) per product produced locally, as such we would clear you for unlimited production of those products.

If this is acceptable we would be willing to begin the transfer of product examples, die casts, and pharmacological data immediately. Should that be too steep due to the number you intend to produce, we would be glad to renegotiate, but would prefer to set a hard cap on production.

AVA 'Schadenfreude' CAS Compact Automatic Shotgun-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/hammer3.png
Type: Automatic Shotgun
Operation: Gas assisted, blowback
Calibers: 13 Gauge (65 mm), 12 Gauge (70 mm), or 20 Gauge
Length (folded): 580 mm
Length (open): 850 mm
Barrel length: 400 mm
Weight: 3.3 kg (unloaded)
Rails: 12, 3, and 6 o'clock positions
Furniture: Polymer with Rubber inlays
Receiver: Polymer with CNC Machined Reinforcements
Magazine: Box; 5, 8, or 10 round capacity
Cost: 1300.00 NSD

Overview-
Designed primarily as a Compact Patrol Shotgun for law enforcement, both military and civilian the AVA 'Schadenfreude' Compact Automatic Shotgun has proven its utility in hundreds of civil and military events around the Commonwealth. Utilizing polymer fore stock with side, and a full length top rail the CAS can mount dozens of sight and or lighting options available on the consumer market without modification. With a Polymer folding stock the weapon is capable of being folded to a quite handy 580 milimeters and stored until needed or required.

Operation-
Utilizing a strong main spring that provides the majority of recoil attenuation, the weapon utilizes a floating firing pin with a firing pin extension that protrudes above the main bolt face, the system vents gas from the barrel through a tube, to the firing pin extension forcing the firing pin back, re cocking the weapon. The firing pin and extension reaches the rear of the bolt transferring tis rearward energy to the bolt, which with the help of the natural backward force of the round recoils, extracting the round and resetting the weapons cycle. In this way reliability is gained over traditional blowback weapons, but less weight is required than a traditional short stroke gas system. Safety is by means of an ambidextrous push forward slide type easily accessible from the pistol grip by the users thumb. The stock is hard polymer, with a rubberized butt-stock and folds to the left of the weapons action.

The weapon is completely semi-automatic with no provision for fully automatic fire, and is capable of firing most LV, and Non-lethal loads.

Official response from J.E. Renken, Ministry of Defense, Office of Procurement:

The terms are by far acceptable, Mr. Mastiff. It's been a pleasure. Considering the fact that these products are intended to stock first aid kits and medical offices across the Dominion rather than just the military, an unlimited production run is far more desirable for the price.

Cost: 1100.00 NSD
*stats shown are for 6mm model

Designed for use by local IMPACT (International Military Precision Assault and Counter Terrorist) Teams on behalf of IRIS (International Reconnaissance and Intelligence Service) and Special Strategic Services (S3) the Mk. XX Rifle Suppressor stands head and shoulders above tis nearest competition due to its superior construction and structural tolerances. The Mk. XX is constructed of two main parts the Expansion chamber and the Baffles.

The Expansion chamber is 40 millimeters in diameter and overlaps the end of the barrel by 23 millimeters or roughly one inch. The wider expansion chamber contains a 'firewall' diverter baffle roughly another inch forward that diverts the initial muzzle flash, and exit gases into the expansion chamber which is filled with Drawn Bronze filament making for a consistency similar to stretched steel wool. This wire tangle helps diffuse and decelerate the exit gases, as well as delaying their eventual exit. The Expansion chamber then tapers down to an external diameter of 35 millimeters and is the actual beginning of 'the Baffles.' The Baffles are fairly conventional in that there are thirteen baffles two millimeters in thickness and each separated by six millimeters. Each baffle contains three U shaped tabs that connect it with the previous baffle and allow for the progression of exiting gases to be diffused and delayed further decreasing the velocity of exit gases significantly. The construction of the tabs also put a counter clockwise spin to the back-tracking gases to help keep them in the suppressor for longer due to centrifugal acceleration.

The inside of the suppressor is coated in a marine grade POR-20 coating which substantially increases the suppressors corrosion resistance even at temperatures up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. the reason such care was taken to prevent corrosion resistance (beyond the obvious water retention problems that might be encountered in an amphibious operation) is the suppression assistance provided by adding water to a suppressor a gain of up to an additional 3 dB for approximately 20-30 rounds of use
which is by no means a 'small' amount. Three 'injection' points allow for water (up to 13cc's worth) to be added to the suppressor from the outside. However, a small jet of water vapor will be visible to an onlooker. Because of these design features, with water added the weapon may be operated in potentially explosive environments such as chemical plants, oil refineries or drug labs with a reduced danger of igniting the atmosphere through muzzle blast.

A optional velocity reducer (V0 port) is available that interfaces with the quick detach section of the suppressor and is the same length and diameter as S1 and tapers towards the barrel giving the suppressor a gradual taper up, and then down effect, the V0 Drop only adds 26 millimeters to the suppressors length and allows for full velocity rounds meaning terminal terminal effect on target. Also available is silicon gun cover, referred to commonly as a 'condom' the cover prevent unwanted debris and grit (sand, mud or other items which may reduce the silencers service life) from entering the suppressor. Though the suppressor is designed to work with such obstructants it can degrade silencer performance while obstructed. A 'Condom' also reduces visible muzzle flash even directly ahead of the weapon due to decreased LOS visibility, while increasing the number of effectively 'wet-suppressed' shots the weapon can achieve before having to be 'reloaded' with more water.

When ordering a suppressor be sure to order the next rounded up bore number to get the correct size. For example a 5.56mm Rifle would require a 6mm bore suppressor, and 7.62mm rifle would require a 8mm bore suppressor.

AVA Blasa Compact Incendiary Projector-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/flamm.png
Length: 630 mm
Weight (Empty): 1.3 kg
Weight (Loaded): 6.3 kg
Range: ~30 meters
Igniter Method: Propane flame, Peizo-electric Ignition
Tank Arrangement: Coaxial (fuel outer, propellant (usually propane) inner tank)
Tank Capacity: 4.5 liters of Fuel Oil (or other liquid)
Operating pressure: 130 atmospheres
Burst length: 3-4 one second bursts
Continuous Burn: 3 seconds
Tank weight: 5 kg
Cost: 1800.00 NSD

Designed for Close Combat military units fighting in built up or fortified areas, the Blasa Compact Incendiary Projector is a easy to use Flame projector operating from a reloadable coaxial arranged tank containing 4.5 liters of incendiary liquid capable of projecting a stream of flame up to 30 meters from the muzzle. designed to be fired 'from the hip, the weapon can be brought to the shoulder for more accurate short bursts as may be needed by an operator.Operation is quite easy; a tank is loaded into the rear of the weapon and snapped into place. the Emergency valve is opened and the operator squeezes the secondary trigger (the lower part of the whole hand trigger) this ignites the pilot light. left forward is a traditional trigger that when depressed will force the incendiary liquid out of the muzzle to be ignited by the pilot light. By just depressing the Smaller main trigger the operator can douse a structure, item or person in fuel oil without igniting it, which due to the often irritant natural of incendiary liquids is often enough to force enemy soldiers to surrender.

A forward hand grip is provided with a wider heat shield/handguard forward to help support the weapon and protect the firer and any potential 'splattering' that might occur. Five points of flashback protection are provided Three for the main line, and two for the secondary line to prevent any unfortunate incident, and when dealing with fire; redundancy isn't just a good idea, its necessary.

It should however be noted no matter the weapons lethal effect it is not subtle and is likely to draw enemy fire and a few nasty glances from those of lesser intestinal fortitude. Reloads weight in a at 5 kilograms a piece and an operator usually carries one or two extras just in case.

Subject: Interim solution for the immediate requirement of a personal defense weapon for Imperial armor crewmen

After looking through and testing all options which were pitted against each other in the competition for our next personal defense weapon we congratulate the Havenic Trading Company and AVA for having been chosen as the provider. Although we thought that the Cricket was lacking in lethality we understand the required trade-offs. The Cricket is short enough to pose no problems in deployment from inside the tank to outside. The problem with the range has been temporarily fixed by deploying a single Hali-53 assault rifle per tank. Nevertheless, we would like to put in an order for one million two hundred thousand Cricket CPD Sub-machine guns. Furthermore, we'd like to purchase priority manufacturing for a possible second order of double the amount of guns. Although this is unforeseen, we like to prepare for any possibilities which may arise.

At $950 per gun the entire order comes out to $1,140,000,000 [$1.14 billion]. We are willing to pay $200 million in order to reserve priority manufacturing. However, should we put in an order we would like to request that $150 million of this money is used towards our order. If no order is put in then HTC may keep the entire $200 million without need of production. If this is not possible the Ejermacht can negotiate for other terms.

The HTC accepts both orders from the Ejermacht Procurement Office and Hostile Takeover Inc, We Buy It Inc. Unfortunately, due to very vexing and convoluted internal politics, a one cent tariff has been been temporarily placed on each arm exported from Dodge Colony. We apologize for this and hopefully it will be repealed shortly.

Subject: Mamba testing

To Whom It May Concern,

In the interests of helping our respective states - the United Sovereign Nations of Southeast Asia, the Most Serene Imperium of Izistan, the Armed Democratic Republic of Mekugi and the Republic of the Northern Expanse - foster links, if not provide our nation with ever changing weapons in war, I have turned to the trading company. The Ministry of Defense and several of our senior commanders, myself included, have agreed to this proposal.

We wish to acquire six units of the Robertson Arms Mamba SP-8 Submachine gun/personal defense weapon. One half non-silenced, the other half a silenced variant. The cost of US$2400 shall be wired to your primary corporate bank account upon confirmation of the order.

Yours Truly,

To whomever it may concern of the Havenic Trading Company,

Greetings from myself, Mister Tominson, this message is in response to the severely underequipped nature of the Kriegos defence forces. However, due to the vast nature of the Kriegos military (over 50 million combatants), I feel it’d be somewhat unfair of us to demand of you the production of the equipment.

Therefore, if you’d allow it, we’d be greatly interested in obtaining temporary production rights to your fine selection. Not only would this place less of an onus on yourselves, but it would give the Kriegos people some much needed jobs, and would leave us indebted to you. We do not want to be as insulting to set the price, so we’ll leave that up to you, and please keep in mind we have no intention of using these production rights for commercial purposes such as export or sale, and these rights will be purely temporary, as for the duration required to equip the Kriegos military to a decent degree. I’m sure you can understand our concern, in these troubled times.

However, if you do not wish us access to all your grand equipment, then would temporary rights for the 'Lee-Nordenfeldt Rifle No. 7' suffice, provided we supply ample monetary compensation?

Thank you and God Bless,

Mr. Roger Tominson

Breyr Machinepistol Addon 9.8mm ACP, 7x23mm RMI
- Raven Munitions Industries -

Type: Single Action
Cartridge: 9.8x23mm ACP, 7x23mm RMI
Length overall: 337 mm, 517 mm stock extended
Barrel length: 230 mm
Weight: 1.8 kg
RoF: 750 rounds per minute
Magazine: 12, 24, 30 round detachable box
Fire Modes: Safe, Semi-automatic, Automatic

Estimated Cost: $400 (conversion module only), $900 (full unit)

This is an addition designed for the Breyr pistol (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=352&hl=) meant to be used as a machinepistol, personal defense weapon, or submachinegun by second line troops. It was developed as a cheaper alternative to buying a whole new weapons system for the armed forces to replace aging submachineguns in use by armored vehicle crewmen and the unsuitable survival rifles stored in aircraft. As the standard sidearm of all Northern Expanse military forces, it was logical to choose the Breyr pistol as the basis for this development both for parts commonality and familiarity. A new secondary cartridge was developed as well with an aim toward penetration of armored vest. This was done simply by bottlenecking the existing 9.8mm APC cartridge down to 7mm allowing for higher velocities. All existing parts and magazines can be used, a simple change of barrel is all that is needed for the use of this ammunition.

The conversion is accomplished by removing the existing slide barrel, and recoil spring and replacing them with the polymer upper containing the new bolt, recoil spring, and longer barrel. This system still retains the rotating barrel action of the pistol to save weight and accomplish a higher right of fire without increased recoil. Features of the conversion are as follows:

- A collapsible stock for more accurate fire and better control while allowing the weapon to retain a small size.
- A cyclone-type muzzle suppressor to counteract torque from firing such a small automatic weapon.
- A new rail system for mounting sights on top of the weapon, and rails on the sides and bottom to mount other devices such as flashlights, lasers, strobes, and less lethal spray.
- A folding vertical foregrip that locks at 0, 45, or 90 degrees depending on user preference.

AVA AS-3 'Citadel' Heavy Patrol Carbine-
Image (too big to post): AS-3 Schematic (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/carbine13a.png)
Action: Short recoil, rotating bolt, three locking lugs
Operation: Semi-Automatic
Safety: Three mode, push-through
Length: 1000 mm
Barrel length: 350 mm
Effective range: ~100-300 meters
Weight: 5 kg
Caliber(s): 9x39mm, 11x43mm, 13.3 x33mm
Feed: Box Magazine, in 5, 10, 15, and 25 rounds
Cost: 1300.00 NSD

Designed primarily for National Police and both land and sea Border Patrol forces, the 'Citadel' or AS-3 Heavy Patrol Carbine was designed with a somewhat odd requirement. That requirement was passed down directly from the personnel serving at stations that dealt quite a bit with smuggling, and that was 'produce compact and handy weapon that has the power to stop a man or a car in as few a shots as possible.' Though originally considered odd a designer took it upon himself to consider the design options and after a few months of design work, and his own money to fund the production of a prototype the weapon was ready for testing. Though produced with glass fiber reinforced polymer stock, the weapon is remarkably heavy for tis size at 5 kilograms the majority of its weight comes from tis heavy bolt group, and barrels heat shield. Many arguments met the initial prototype the most vocal being the common question of why it was practical when a shotgun could perform the same job and was considered much more versatile. It wasn't until the groups that had suggested the weapon were brought into the argument that the request and the weapons unique purpose were made clear.

Penetration.

Penetration is what sets the short cased, Long bullet apart from the usual rifled slug of a shotgun, at range the bullet produce better terminal effect and has the ability to easily disable some engines at range, an necessary requirement of border and police forces that may require to immobilize a smugglers boat or car. The weapon also provides higher magazine capacity compared to semi-automatic shotgun, such as the CAS or other similar weapons. The primary choice of rounds for the weapon is a 9,11, 0r13mm round as borrowed from a medium or heavy machine gun and placed into a shortened case. the trade off is velocity, and effective range, but due to tis heavy weight and excellent ballistic form, the bullet carries quite a punch out to its effective range quite well, and even if the round fails to penetrate, it is un-ignorable by man or machine.

The AS-3 is short recoil operated and uses three wide semi-triangular locking lugs to lock the bolt and barrel together for a short distance. the heavy weight of the barrel and bolt helps absorb some of the recoil energy, as well as the use of Advanced Primer Ignition, which initiates the rounds primer before the barrel and bolt come to rest in the forward state, this forces the recoiling energy to first overcome the bolts forward momentum before it can recoil back decreasing felt recoil to the shooter. Though the cases are substantially shorter than their HMG counterparts, the rounds themselves still produce sufficient muzzle blast to be an issue, with the four port, five vent muzzle compensator the weapon decreases the muzzle blast, and uses the vented gases to decrease muzzle climb making the weapon quicker to come back to the point of aim in rapid semi-automatic firing. a necessity with the powerful rounds fired by the Citadel. Rubber and foam projectiles have also proven highly effective for riot control as even if less-than-lethal they provide sufficient force to knock the fight out of even the most aggravated of protesters.

The safety is of an improved yet antiquated style, which uses a push through block forward of the trigger guard, the safety has three primary modes, Fire, which when the weapon is cocked is ready to go, one only needs a regular squeeze of the trigger to fire the weapon. Ready mode that keeps the weapon un-cocked, but on a strong pull of the trigger engages the striker cocking it and fires the weapon much like a double action pistol, and Safe mode which locks the striker and bolt. Its positioning forward of the trigger makes it easy to reach even while under duress, and instinctive to use. The Ready mode makes it safe, but readily available in times when its use is uncertain but possible instead of relying on the potentially less safe Fire mode.

The stock is Glass-fiber reinforced polymer with a built in storage box on the left side for a cleaning kit and spare bolt/firing pin. Slip on soft rubber recoil attenuation pads are available for order at 10.00 NSD per weapon.

AVA Varos Service Revolver-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/revf1vc.png
Operation: Double Action
Caliber: .333 Decker Magnum, .357 Magnum, or .38 special
Rifling: 5 grooves, left hand twist
Weight unloaded: 950 grams (103mm barrel) 1200 grams (155mm barrel)
Length: 233mm (103mm barrel), or 285mm (155mm barrel)
Barrel length: 103mm or 155mm
Capacity: 6 rounds
Cost: 750.00 NSD

Developed primarily as a service revolver for law enforcement and border guards, which saw a good portion more action than the Archon Semi-Automatic pistols of the military, the Varos Series of Revolvers proved themselves reliable, and accurate in the hands of the Nations Law enforcement, and are credited with being listed used in 90% of all police incident reports involving returning weapons fire. This is a staggering percentage considering that the weapons is no directly supplied to departments and are often purchased by officers themselves through word of mouth or experience.

Numerous versions have appeared over time, but the 4" and 6" models have consistently outsold all over variants. The one feature that has made it stand above other revolvers that came before it was the two stage cocking, a mix of integrated safety, and quick action. The hammer spur is actually in two pieces, the main hammer and the spur; When one pushed down on the spur it cocks secondary hammer spring, reducing the required strength of the mainspring. In Single Action Operation one simply continues cocking the weapon all the way this dual spring system is much easier and quicker to cock then a full strength single spring would be. In double action this dual spring system allows for the weapon to be half cocked, and allow for a light pull of the trigger to fire the first shot, its is safer in this mode than SA, yet quicker to utilize than DA requiring only half the trigger pull weight to operate.

A fixed front sight, with adjustable rear allows for quick reactive shooting, but good accuracy at range, these traits have helped build its legacy as a service revolver.

AVA Recoil Series Revolver-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/revg1.png
Operation: Double Action
Caliber: .333 Decker Magnum, .357 Magnum, .41 magnum, 10mm auto, .44 SW Special, .44 Rem Magnum, .45ACP, .45Auto Rim, .45LC, .455 Manstopper, .500 S&W, and Many others.
Rifling: 5 grooves, left hand twist
Weight unloaded: 1300 to 1330 grams
Length: 300 mm
Barrel length: 155mm
Capacity: 5 or 6 rounds
Cost: 970.00 NSD

The largest revolver currently produced by AVA, the Recoil series is designed to survive brutal punishment by hunters and military personnel alike. A ventilated rib that acts a M1913 spec rail allows for mounting of just about any after market sight, from telescopic to holographic. Though considered overkill by some the weapon (especially in tis medium calibers) is considered a premier hunters weapon, and has even gained a reputation (along with the cricket CPD) with some pilots as part of their escape and evasion kit. The weapons grip is strong almost vertical grip improving instinctive and 'safe' holding of the weapon to better absorb the weapons kick and subsequent jump, though proper training is an excellent addition to this feature so as to avoid a sprained wrist. A strong sloping blast deflector ahead of the muzzle helps direct a portion of the blast vertical so as to counter the beasts muzzle climb, which certainly helps with the controllability of the weapon.

Adjustable rear and front sights allow for supreme accuracy, and customization by its owner the Recoil series is an excellent choice by those seeking a little extra punch over most standard issue sidearms, or by hunters or specialists hoping to improve their chances at taking down their prey. Safety is ambidextrous and is quickly engaged or disengaged even under stress. Upon the opening of the cylinder, an automatic ejector partially withdraws the empty cases from cylinder to facilitate their easy removal, or to remove individual rounds. This unusual cylinder arrangement provides minimum play between the firing chamber in cylinder and barrel throat improving round ballistics and muzzle velocity, though the specific beveled shape of the barrel throat decreases build up increasing the weapons reliability after many hours of shooting.

Action: Straight pull, vertically locking lug.
Length: 1150.4 mm
Barrel: 660.4 mm (26 in.).
Weight: 4.15 kg, empty.
Magazine: 10 round, detachable box.

Izistan: 1896-1951.
The Northern Expanse: 1896-1949.
No Endorse: 1906-1930.

Price: $160.00 NSD.

The Lee-Nordenfeldt rifle is a manually operated, straight-pull bolt action rifle. The sliding bolt has one large locking lug on the upper forward part that locks into a wide cut in the roof of the receiver just in front of the chamber. When the bolt handle is retracted, the lower half of the bolt that the handle is attached to moves backward and a large claw engages the bottom of the spring-tensioned vertical locking lug rotating it downward and clear of the locking recess. A groove on the forward part of the lug engages the rim of the spent casing pulling it free from the chamber and holding it against the bolt face until it is ejected by the spring loaded ejector/bolt stop just rearward of the magazine in the floor of the receiver. At this point, the bolt handle is pushed forward once more stripping a cartridge from the magazine and loading it into the chamber, ready for firing. In the same motion, the rear striker is cocked and held in place by the main sear until such a time as the trigger is pulled.

Feeding is accomplished from a durable, yet cheap, sheet steel Lee-type detachable box magazine below the receiver and in front of the trigger guard. Each magazine holds ten rounds of the standard issue cartridge but can be topped off at any time while in the rifle either through chargers of five rounds each or singly through manual loading.

Sights are of the uncommon, at the time, diopter type sighting arrangement with a large combat setting in use most of the time while an upright ladder sight can be flipped into position for long range marksmanship. This allows quick target acquisition under low light conditions and was found to be more accurate than the typical "notch" leaf sights found on many other rifles of the time. Each rifle's stock consists of two pieces of the nigh legendary and resilient sandalwood, capped at the butt end with a steel boot to prevent any possibility of splitting under hard use while still allowing space for cleaning equipment in a trapdoor. Having the stock divided into a fore and aft portion allows the use of more choice pieces of lumber in the production of each rifle since previous experience had shown that in wartime, the felling and seasoning of hardwoods could not keep up with the demand in the lengths needed for quality rifle stocks. Provision for a sling and bayonet is made in the steel muzzle cap covering the head of the forestock making the rifle very durable for melee fighting and general use. Unusually, the rifle does away with the normal wooden upper handguard in preference for a ventilated heat shield of black-coated steel.

As a historical note of interest, the black metal ventilated handguard of the rifle gave rise to the phrase "playing the black flute" when riflemen were instructed to wrap their hand around the forward portion of the rifle and place their fingertips on the holes of the handguard during rapid fire so as to judge the temperature of the rifle. Thus, these rifles became known as "Black Flutes" and passed on the name to the elite Special Air Service of The Northern Expanse who persisted in their use, and the later No. 7 gas-actuated rifles of the same name, through the many attempts to rearm these stubborn riflemen.

Kampferian Weaponry S-25

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/crave22/CHARGINMAHLAZER/kampfs_smgcoloredpresentationcopy.png

Design History and Overview

For many years, the Grand Kampferian Army relied soley upon the Heckler and Koch MP-5 as its submachine gun. While the MP-5 was a great weapon, it had numerous problems that the Grand Kampferian Army believed could be easily addressed. As such, the Grand Kampferian Army commisioned a team of scientists from the government owned Kampferian Weaponry to design the submachine gun of the future

One issue of the MP-5 was that it had a muzzle velocity of only 270 meters per second, which lead to the very short range of only 200 meters. While this range was ideal for special operations, it's other uses in the army believed this to be far too short. For example, the rocketers of the Grand Kampferian Army carried the MP-5 in addition to their SMAW. This presented issues, as while it gave them a good gun in close quarters, someone with a gun that had a range of over 200 meters could easily take them out.

The last major issue that the team was to address was the small capacity magazine of the MP-5. The design team was commisioned to design a larger capacity magazine that was still as light and accesible as the MP-5's original magazine. With all this in hand, the design team set out to "modernize" the MP-5.

Overall Design

There are many things to the KW S-25 that make it unique. However, it is best to delve into the common features first. The barrel of the S-25 is threaded, which allows for many different attachments. The most popular of these are the sound and flash suppressor, both of which come packaged with the gun. The suppressors, while unneccssary for a grunt in the army, come in extremely handy on special operations missions.

The rifle is of bullpup design, meaning that the magazine and action are located behind the trigger. This unifies the accuracy and firepower of the traditional assault rifle with the compact size of the submachine gun. For a nation such as Kampfers, it is also important to have the bullpup design as the common Assault Rifle used in Kampfers is also of the bullpup variety.

The gun is extremely durable, yet still retains its exceptionally light weight. The gun is not prone to having the barrel overheat or jam, and is an engineering marvel in that it despite its weight, recoil is not a major issue. This is due more to the location of its weight than the weight itself. With the weight concetrated at specific points, the S-25 experiences low recoil despite the light weight. To reduce what the shooter feels, the S-25's cushion has a pad on top made of memory foam, which conforms to fit the shooter's profile, easing any kick-back he might feel.

The fire selector located on the side of the S-25 allows the user to select one of four fire modes: SAFE, SINGLE, BURST, or AUTO. It is easily in reach of the shooter when he has his hand on the trigger, and can be switched without hassle. If preferred, the fire selector can be manufactured on the other side of the rifle for a left handed shooter.

The iron sights of the S-25 are among the best in the world. The red is clearly distinguishable from the backdrop in both daytime and at night, and allows for quick aiming on the target. The red gives an added benefit, as the mind automatically distinguishes red as "enemy", allowing the soldier to haver faster reflexes. This is thanks to the many generations of computer games where one's crosshairs would turn red if you moved them over an enemy. As such, their mind has been trained to see the red and fire, which adds to the soldiers already good reflex capacity.

The magazine is the typical magazine seen these days, however it is slightly larger. This has increased its capacity to 45 rounds rather than the typical 15-30. If size is a concern for a specific mission, magazines can be swapped a normal size of 15-30, but this is rather rare. The magazine can withstand a physical beating, as was neccessary when designing it. It can be dropped on the ground, droppend in a pond, even stepped on and still be fireable. Magazines must be purchased from Kampferian Weaponry however (included) as they are specially designed for the specific cartrige used.

Cartridge

The MP-5 used the 9x19 mm pistol round. Through many tests, it was determined that this would be inadequate to fire at a high velocity. As such, they began testing oddly shaped cartridges and were suprised by their results. With a 9x24yeah mm round housed in a necked down 10x24mm case, they were able to acheive muzzle velocities of around 600 m/s. As a 9 mm round, it retained the same width as the previous round, but it simultaneously increased its range and lethality by immensly boosting the muzzle velocity.

In all, there are three common rounds. The first is the Extreme Penetrator Round (EPR), which was designed soley for the purpose of defeating armies who believed in dressing their soldier in the best battle armour possible. The tungsten tipped round rips through just about every known battlesuit with ease from a long distance. This round is only lightly used, but can be used more heavily if the Grand Kampferian Army is matched against a known battle armour wearing foe.

Hoewever, when fighting mass groups of gun weilding civilians, penetration is not as neccessary as expansion. The second bullet was designed with this in mind. It is known as the Maximum Lethality Round, or the MLR, and is designed with lethality in mind as opposed to penetration. If this round comes in contact with a person, it can rip an exit hole greater than 5x the size of its entry hole.

The final and most common round is the Minor Penetrating Expansion Round, or the MPER. This round, similar to the Doomani Armor Piercing Fragmenting Jacket, can penetrate the averages soldiers armour, but begins to expand upon hitting soft material, most oftentimes flesh. This allows a great combination of expansion and penetration, enough so that its lethality against the common soldier is one of the best in production for a submachine gun.

Gnadig Lethal/Less-Lethal PDW-

Caliber: 11x21mm SPS
Weight: 3.3 kg empty
Length (stock closed/open): 375 / 555 mm
Barrel length: 175 mm
Rate of fire: 550-650 rounds per minute
Magazine capacity: 20 rounds
Effective range: 50-100 meters
Cost: 1300.00 NSD

A weapon for security teams or Law enforcement that allows for a typically sterile gel substrate round to be infused with a choice of several chemicals, from marking paint to chemical irritants. Without the use of the chemical agent the weapon acts as 'rubber' bullet style impact round and though painful is not lethal. When the trigger is pulled, a small nozzle located just forward of the magazine mates with the front of the round, the hard polymer carcass acting as a container for chemical while it is absorbed by the gel. The weapon fires from an open bolt and forced the round into the chamber where it is fired, sending the carcass, and gel towards the target. The carcass staying attached tot eh gell core till impact where on impact it separates transferring tis energy into the target and allowing the chemical in the gel substrate to 'splash'. A single round is not terribly effective but at over 500 rpm the combined effect can easily and quickly saturate a target in the choice of chemicals. Almost any non caustic/corrosive material can be used including but not limited to; Marking dye, OS, OC, anesthetics, drug cocktails, scent markers, etc.

A Lethal/Practice round is available but uses a different magazine to allow for cheap practice or the option to use lethal force as a last resort. This magazine has a special catch that disengages the Infusing mechanism preventing 'goo-ing' of the internal mechanism. The round at 11mm in diameter is substantially heavy enough to make a difference, and many after market bullets have been produced in Armor piercing, and jacketed rounds. M1913 Specification rails are attached to the weapon at 3,9, and 12 o'clock positions and can accept a wide variety of after market sights and accessories.

Operation is simple blow back with a enveloping bolt, and caliber is 11x21mm, both rounds are subsonic. A Lethal only Version without the Chemical injection system is also available with similar specifications for 1100.00 NSD.

The SAP-1 'Lint'-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/jay3135/guns/lint.png

Length: 3 inches
Barrel Length: 2.35 inches
Weight: 300 grams
Bore: 7.3mm (.28 SAP)
Capacity: 3+1
Cost: 330.00 NSD

The Special Application Pistol or 'Lint' (a code name) is a compact silenced concealed pistol. Simple to the point of being crude, the Lint is almost entirely made out of thermoplastics with thermofiber reinforced sections and a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic smooth bore barrel. Unlike many Single shot military pocket pistols (the 'Liberator', and the CIA's Deer gun) the Lint has a round extractor which assists in removing the spent rounds case upon cocking the rear lever. It also carries not only 3 extra rounds in a compact fixed magazine, containing small index markers to let the user see how many rounds he has left from the outside. reloading is sadly not capable in the field, as the side cover must be removed and the magazine housing removed to reload it. The Cocking lever also acts as the means of extracting a spent round, and re chambering a new round from the magazine, as well as the weapons primary drop safety.

The SAPs bullets are based on the infamous Russian SP-3 Silenced cartridge only slightly smaller to better accommodate the designs compact size. 7.3x33mm with its case, primer and pistons constructed entirely in high strength polymers including a non mercury/non-metallic based primer material (Diazodinitrophenol). The bullet is composed pf a classified mix of non-ferrous, non magnetic metals and polymer powder compressed to form a fairly dense projectile with a spitzer point that is designed to fragment upon impact with a solid plate but penetrate most clothing (not armor). This projectile and case are designed to allow the entirely non-magnetic weapon to pass on ones person through a metal detector undetected. The round itself is semi-necked as most 'silent' rounds are, however the bullet is fully seated in the case and the top is sealed with a polymer water proof seal. This is designed to prevent chemical 'sniffers' from detecting an unfired weapon, however its profile will show quite distinctive on a modern X-ray machine.

Sights are very plain being little more than a raised rib of plastic, and the shooters training. the 'trigger' is actually a thumb stud that releases the striker which is cocked upon loading the weapon. Safety is provided by pressure on the cocking lever/breech access. Instructions are engraved on the side, and the weapon contains no origin markings making it essentially 'tactically sterile' so as to prevent recuperations against the issuing country.

The shooting stance is the same as with a full size pistol with both hands being used to secure the weapon though one mast learn to fire the weapon with ones thumb instead of the more instinctive 'trigger'. Experienced operators can operate it in a number of ways ranging from side squeezes (car fob style) to 'lemon squeezer' means depending on what the operation calls for. Back home the weapon is considered notorious as it has been labeled an assassins pistol, and though it has been used as such more often then not its carried as a last ditch defensive pistol by military personnel serving overseas. The only accessory available is a long wrist lanyard which attaches via the cut out in the forefinger guard allowing for easier 'off-hand' use and retention.

These two products are compact enough to fit inside a only slightly enlarged TIAK package in addition to the issue field dressing and other components already present. I have been authorized to request a total of 150,000 units of Triple Cross Emergency First Aide Spray, to be redesignated "TriCross Medical Spray." In addition, 150,000 units of the Airpen Auto-Injection System are also requested, to be used as a delivery system for a specialized powdered anasthetic.

The appropriate funds - $12,750,000.00 - have been designated and await transfer to the account of your preference.
However, it would be preferred that we not remain reliant on the Havenic Trading Company for supply of medical equipment, and thus I have been instructed to request the domestic production rights to both the Airpen system and Triple Cross spray. If this is acceptable, the RMSMC is also prepared to offer you the construction of a specialist facility in which the Airpen and Triple Cross spray can be manufactured in large quantities for Russkyan use, the surplus manufacture of which can be directed back towards the HTC for sale elsewheres.

In terms of munition sales, the third part of the procurement order is the RMI Mk. 1 Four-Centimeter Hand Grenade. A quantity of several million will be required over the next decade, to supplement standard Russkyan fragmentation and blast grenades which are too powerful to be safely used in "soft urban" environments such as suburban housing with predominantly drywall interior wall construction. If it is possible to acquire the domestic production license for the Mk. 1 grenade, retooling and production of the ordnance can be put into action in the shortest possible time. A generous bonus for HTC would then be applicable for services rendered.

Best regards,
- Ivan Gaslukatov, RMSMC

Sir,
Your orders for the Triple Cross spray and Airpen injection system are readily supplied from our own surplus stocks, as they have found a wide market in the civilian sector as well as in the military. Expect the arrival of the first units by next week. We have no qualms about local production, we’ll even send some engineers out to assist with the facilities.

As for the grenades, we should very easily be able to fulfill your order, probably under the stated time! They are after all, simple to mass produce! Expect 10,000 in transit in three days aboard the SS Regina.

We hope to deal more with your nation in the future!

Madam,

This is excellent news, and my immediate superiors are enthralled with the quick service. Work has begun on the basic design and floorplan of the factory for manufacturing the spray and auto-injection system - please send the engineers at your earliest possible convienence to advise in the requirements of the facility beyond the common sense measures we have assumed to be required.

In addition, a number of Infantry Regiments to be assigned a supplemental issue of the Four-Centimeter hand grenade look forward to the quick arrival of the SS Regina.

I look forward to continued transactions with the HTC.

Brettonian Military Industries PA-89 Machine Pistol

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a229/MalikCarr/2cad6efc.png (http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a229/MalikCarr/788202f6.png)
Artwork thoughtfully provided by Colt; click for hi-resolution version

Designation: Pistol, Automatic, Model 1989
Type: machine pistol
Action: blowback, semiautomatic or automatic
Caliber: 7.62 x 25 mm
Rate of fire: 850 rounds-per-minute (with limiter)
Magazine type: double-stack, polymer or steel
Magazine capacity: 20 or 30 rounds
Weight: 2.6 pounds
Safety: grip, ambidextrous fire selector
Sights: partridge type with tritium hi-visibility elements
Miscellaneous: standard muzzle brake, integrated Weaver rail
Per unit cost: J$245

In the mid-80s, a general directive was issued that Brettonian military sidearms were to be standardized between services. Previously, individual branches, and in some cases, divisional-sized and smaller units, had issued their own sidearms, resulting in a veritable menagerie of handguns in a variety of calibers and actions. Previous standardization attempts had been met with much resistance by both the Army and its subsidiary Air Service – the Navy was uncooperative as well. However, our design staff has proved most capable of addressing fears with product, and after being presented with the prototype for review and testing, both branches agreed to adopt it as a standard sidearm. Even our discerning Military Intelligence service has made common utilization.

Design: Based on the reliable and proven Česká Zbrojovka Vz.61 action, the PA-89 features all the modern accouterments and features expected by demanding officers and soldiers in combat situations while retaining its ancestor’s simplicity and reliability.

The general layout of the weapon has been aesthetically preserved – those knowledgeable in the firearms field will recognize the signature features remain intact, and anyone familiar with the Vz.61’s operation will find the PA-89 to be quite similar in operation. They will also be pleasantly surprised at the new faculties:

• Powerful .30-caliber round.
• Ergonomic polymer grip with optional rubberized elements.
• Quality machined steel receiver, upper and lower.
• Ambidextrous fire selector and charging handle.
• Grip safety.
• Multiple lanyard/sling attachment points.
• Integrated Weaver rail.
• Low profile muzzle brake.
• Modern partridge-style sights, with tritium high-contrast aiming aid.

The most significant departure on the part of the PA-89 is the new caliber. Our field analysts have shown the 7.62 x 25 mm bottlenecked cartridge (also known as .30 TT or .30 Tokarev) is ideal for a machine pistol’s unique requirements. The small .30-caliber round does not produce much felt recoil (a crucial consideration for a small, rapid-firing weapon), but it possesses exceptional velocity and a flat trajectory – with steel-cored ammunition, capable of penetrating ballistic helmets and light-to-medium body armors at normal pistol ranges. While its stopping power is nothing extraordinary, low recoil and barrel climb enable accurate follow-up shots, even in the automatic setting. Recoil is further mitigated via a simple but effective muzzle brake. Thanks to the folding stock and hand-friendly magazine, the PA-89 can be used effectively against targets outside normal pistol engagement ranges. In semiautomatic mode, it can be fired easily with one hand, enabling effective use as a normal (if slightly heavy) handgun. Perhaps the most important concern, 7.62 x 25 mm ammunition is cheap to produce and is easily available in many parts of the world – the comparative rarity and expense of another bottlenecked pistol cartridge, 5.7 x 28 mm, was a key factor in opting not to use it.

A comfortable new polymer grip has been provided, reducing hand and wrist fatigue over periods of prolonged shooting. Rubberized elements are provided to help mitigate the effects of vibration and impact shock, and a shapely form factor offers excellent traction and a palm-friendly feel. The PA-89 has a relatively light trigger pull, so a grip safety was installed as a hedge against accidental discharges. The grip safety is independent of the fire selector – the weapon will not fire unless it is depressed. As with the Vz.61, the limiter spring is contained within the grip, and a lanyard/sling attachment ring has been affixed to the bottom. Other attachment rings are provided on the upper, and can be removed at the discretion of the user if unnecessary. A low-profile Weaver rail is mounted just ahead of the break hinge, offering ready compatibility with various accessories (laser sight, tactical lamp, less-lethal weapon projector, etc).

The PA-89 can be operated effectively by both left- and right-handed users. The fire selector and cocking handle are mirrored on both sides (also known as “ambidextrous configuration”), and a top-mounted ejection port prevents spent casings from flying into the operator’s face and body at just about any conceivable engagement angle.

In case of a need for covert operation, shooters with sensitive hearing, or the preservation of natural night vision, a suppressor can be mounted directly over the existing barrel and muzzle brake. The high-velocity .30-caliber round suffers significantly when reduced to subsonic speeds, so a reduction in effective lethal range should be expected. The weapon requires no additional calibration to fire with a suppressor attached, though the folding stock cannot be fully folded in such a condition. A limited production version for Military Intelligence special offices features a normal-sized polymer stock, turning the PA-89 into a kind of lightweight submachine gun, but this version has not seen wide demand or production.

Finally, the PA-89 is a rugged, sturdy firearm, capable of standing up to the punishments of a combat situation and prolonged operations in the field. A chrome-lined barrel and tough, uncomplicated internals allow the pistol to operate effectively with minimal maintenance in all but the most adverse conditions. Cleaning the weapon is simple, and all parts are soldier-serviceable. A break hinge offers access to both the upper and lower, and requires no tools. The striker is durable, and can be dry-fired without fear of damage.

The PA-89 is issued in a complete package of a leather holster, cleaning kit, two spare magazines of 20 or 30 round capacity, and an operations manual.

Operational Use: The PA-89 is widely used in both the Brettonian Army (along with the subsidiary Air Service) and Navy, where it is valued for its ease of use, low encumbrance and automatic capability, and has been employed in limited numbers by the Military Intelligence branch, where its high degree of concealment and compact firepower are much appreciated. It is especially enjoyed by Stählkorper (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=447922) troops, armor crewmen and pilots, where space is at a premium, but even unarmored soldiers appreciate having a high capacity automatic sidearm to fall back on in case of the loss or otherwise inability of use of their rifles. It is not favored among mid- to high-ranking officers, who usually privately purchase their own sidearms based on personal aesthetic appeal or historical value. Variations in 9 x 17 (also known as .380 ACP) and 9 x 18 mm, available in semiautomatic and select-fire, are popular among civilian shooters, Civil Protection officers, BGS staff, etc., where stopping power is more important than armor penetration.

A combination of appealing features and low cost of production makes the PA-89 a favored export model as well.

Subject: Significant Equipment Procurement
_______________________________

Dear sir(s)/madam(s),

The Realm of Cotland is very pleased with the quality of the equipment and armaments purchased from the Havenic Trading Company, and therefore returns with the hopes to be pleased yet again. The MK.1 Four-Centimeter Hand Grenade has served beyond expectations, and we wish to make this our standard issue hand grenade. Additionally, the M77 ADPM has impressed us, and we will need more of this land mine, as well as some other pieces of equipment. For instance, the National Police Force is on the search for a new standard sidearm, and we would therefore like to make the AVA Varos revolver the standard issue sidearm for the Police.

We wish to purchase the following from the Havenic Trading Company:

MK.1 Four-Centimeter HAND GRENADE: 100,000,000 @ $25.00 ea. = $2,500,000,000
M77 Advanced Dual Purpose Mine (ADPM): 1,250,000,000 @ $58.00 ea. = $72,500,000,000
AVA Varos Service Revolver (4", .357 Magnum version): 7,000,000 @ $750.00 ea. = $5,250,000,000
AVA AS-3 'Citadel' HPC (9x39mm): 2,000,000 @ $1,300.00 ea. = $2,600,000,000
AN/S-3 Advanced Night Vision Goggles: 14,500,000 @ $2,100.00 ea. = $30,450,000,000
AVA Vortex Mk.XX Dual-stage Expansion Rifle Suppressor (7mm): 5,000,000 @ $1,100.00 ea. = $5,500,000,000
AVA Vortex Mk.XX Dual-stage Expansion Rifle Suppressor (8mm): 5,000 @ $1,100.00 ea. = $5,500,000

The total cost for this rather large amount of armaments, explosives and equipment has been calculated to come to a grand total of one hundred eighteen billion, eight hundred five million, five hundred thousand Nation States Dollars ($118,805,500,000.00), and shall be wired to your accounts in five equally large transfers upon confirmation of this order.

We patiently await your hopefully positive reply.

Brettonian Military Industries RA-87M Assault Rifle

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a229/MalikCarr/f2eb07e1.png (http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a229/MalikCarr/d2429210.png)
Artwork thoughtfully provided by Colt; click for hi-resolution version

Designation: Rifle, Automatic, Model 1987, Modernized
Type: assault rifle
Action: gas-operated with rotating bolt, semiautomatic, automatic or burst
Caliber: 7.62 x 39 mm
Rate of fire: 900 rounds-per-minute (automatic), 1200 rounds-per-minute (burst)
Magazine type: double-stack, polymer or metallic
Magazine capacity: 30 rounds
Weight: 7.7 pounds
Safety: fire selector, four position
Sights: sliding tangent rear sight, hooded front sight, with tritium hi-visibility elements
Miscellaneous: standard muzzle brake over threaded barrel, recoil-canceling system

In the mid-80s, a general directive was issued that Brettonian military small arms were to be standardized between services. Though Kalashnikov and Simonov-pattern rifles had enjoyed widespread usage by various branches, there was by no means any sort of commonality in makes, models, and in some instances, even calibers. Some Stoner and Saive-pattern rifles had migrated into the armed forces, and even Uziel Gal’s brainchild submachine gun was being used as a surrogate rifle by a few units. After much inner-service bickering, a slightly-tweaked Kalashnikov with a few updated features was adopted (and rammed down the throats of a few especially-dissenting interests) in 1987. The most recent version, put into service in 2011 (previously known as the RA-87-6, now designed RA-87M) is now available to the discerning armed forces of the world who desire legendary reliability of the classic design with the modern accouterments soldiers crave.

Design: Firearms aficionados will recognize the RA-87’s action bears much of the classic Kalashnikov faculties: a rotating bolt with two large lugs, oversize dust cover and fire selector, stamped steel receiver, and a simple but sturdy gas piston. However, upon closer inspection, the nearly century-old design has been significantly updated to reflect today’s contemporary concerns of ergonomics, performance and lethality. Soldiers who will trust their lives to the RA-87 will be pleasantly surprised at the new faculties:

• Ergonomic grip with optional rubberized elements.
• Proven and available .30-caliber round.
• 1.3 mm stamped steel receiver.
• Rugged polyamide furniture, with standard folding stock.
• Durable black phosphate finish over all metal components.
• High speed burst fire option.
• Two bayonet lugs and standard optics rail.
• Adjustable sights; rear sliding tangent, front hooded post, with tritium high-contrast aiming aid.
• Simple yet ingenious “Balanced Automatic Recoil System” eliminates much felt recoil and barrel climb.

By far the most eye-catching feature of the current RA-87M model is the recoil-canceling “BARS” device, an invention of the late Y. Alexandrov. Externally, the BARS can be noted by the extremely long gas tube, extending all the way to the front sight base. The tube actually contains two gas pistons, opposing each other around the (now concealed by the lengthened furniture) gas block. The rear piston is pushed backwards in a conventional fashion, operating the bolt and extractor as normal. The forward piston is attached to a long synchronized rod that runs the length of the receiver. When gas enters the block, both pistons are pushed away from each other. The weight of the longer forward gas piston and rod is roughly equal to the shorter rear piston and bolt, causing the momentum and “kick” of the rearward-moving mechanisms to be effectively canceled out, in accordance with Sir Isaac Newton’s third law of motion. This “double recoil” method translates to a greatly reduced recoil and accordingly increased accuracy and, in automatic fire, controllability.

Since the bolt moves a shorter distance, the rate of fire is substantially increased. A limiter is installed above the trigger group, reducing the rate of fire to around 900 rounds per minute to increase control and decrease waste of ammunition. A 3-round burst fire setting, positioned between the traditional Kalashnikov “automatic” and “single” settings, disables the limiter – the fully unmoderated rate of fire at 1200 rounds per minute enables excellent shot placement, as the third round will leave the rifle’s barrel before the recoil of the first is felt. Burst fire is achieved via a three-toothed ratchet on the fire selector axle, fitted with a reset gearing. The bolt moves the ratchet back one tooth each time it recoils after a bullet is fired; after the last tooth has moved, the trigger is rendered inert until it is released, resetting the ratchet and enabling the rifle to be fired again. If less than three rounds are fired before the trigger is released, the ratchet resets, enabling another three round burst. The ratchet is disabled in the automatic or semiautomatic settings.

All RA-87 models are furnished with an integrated optics rail on the left side of the receiver, offering compatibility with all Warsaw Pact optics and sighting systems. In Brettonian service, the rifle is used with a collimator or telescopic sight as a standard accessory. Simple iron sights – a hooded front sight and sliding rear tangent sight, all adjustable – are provided as backups, and are 90% identical to sights on existing Kalashnikov rifles. The rear sight can be adjusted for engaging targets up to 800 meters, using 100 meter intervals, though the higher settings are rather optimistic for man-sized targets. The rear sight is of an aperture-type, as opposed to traditional U-notch variety, but it can be replaced with an older style sight at the user's preference. Small beads of radioactive tritium are added on both sights as an aide for night-time shooting. For armies using NATO-specification optics, a Weaver rail adapter is available that allows compatibility with most modern optic systems.

Furniture is similar to classic Kalashnikov designs, but has been updated for modern sensibilities. All elements are made of a glass-filled nylon/polyamide composite, providing exceptional durability against abrasion and impact, resistance to the elements, and a sturdy yet comfortable shooting posture. The stock is of a slightly longer length than that of a typical Kalashnikov by means of a rubber recoil pad, and can be folded along the left side of the receiver for storage or use in close quarters. Stock locks and releases are typical of AK-10X style, with releases mounted on the rear of the stock (accessible through a cutout in the recoil pad) and side of the receiver. The pistol grip has been reshaped into a more ergonomic form factor, and can be fitted with rubberized elements to improve traction when being held with bare hands. The trigger guard is of a typically large size in order to facilitate use while wearing thick winter gloves. Forearm furniture is composed of the usual two-piece gas tube cover/hand guard configuration, but has been lengthened somewhat to protect the new gas block and to offer more options for gripping for different shooting postures. Both pieces are fitted with a stainless steel liner to prevent the polymer from deforming due to barrel heat under periods of rapid firing. Warsaw Pact grenade launchers can be mounted normally.

Two bayonet lugs are provided in the style of modern Kalashnikov rifles – the first is located on the front sight post, the second mounted on the barrel just ahead of the forearm. Normal and long-length spear-style bayonets, equipped with a partially serrated edge and wire cutter, can be mounted accordingly. Bayonets are issued with a polymer scabbard and nylon sling/belt frog.

The RA-87 is designed to feed from any single- or double-stack Warsaw Pact magazines, including polymer and metallic models. Standard usage is 30-round “waffle” magazine made of reinforced Bakelite, but magazines of theoretically any size (5 round hunting magazines up to 100-round machine-reloaded “bananas” that clip to the barrel), including 75- and 100-round helical drum magazines, can be fitted. Standard accessories include an adjustable nylon sling, cleaning kit, and operations manual.

Aside from the standard model described above, there also exists an “arsenal” rifle, fitted with a longer barrel and fixed SVD-style thumbhole stock. This version is not equipped with a recoil-canceling system (and thusly without a burst-fire faculty), and uses the regular Kalashnikov-style gas block. This rifle is commonly used in parades and formal military presentations (much of the rifle’s external components are chromed, and the furniture is buffed in a glossy finish, as opposed to the consistent matte black of the service rifles), but it is also used by rear-line units and guards at sensitive facilities where the encumbrance of the larger rifle does not pose a problem (as compared to frontline combat units sneaking through forests, performing door-to-door sweeps or firing from inside the cramped quarters of an armored vehicle). It can also be used as a cheap sniper rifle in a pinch, though shooters should not expect comparable performance to full-caliber dedicated weapons for such purposes.

Operational Use: The current RA-87M incarnation is in widespread use in the Brettonian armed forces. Before passing on to Stählkorper training, all infantry are trained to be proficient in the assault rifle’s usage and various applications. Special forces, BGS units and un-armored naval infantry also make use of the weapon. After completing mandatory state service, Brettonian citizens who choose not to fully re-enlist for the volunteer main service are sent home with their rifles as a “militia provision” for state security.

Packaged with magazines and accessories, wooden crates of twelve rifles each are shipped around the world to a myriad of causes considered “sympathetic to peace” by the Brettonian government. The green shipping boxes often referred to as “party favors” in government and military parlance for the frequency and casualness of their dispersion.

From: Procurement Division, Defense Ministry, Realm of Cotland

Sincerely,

Viseadmiral Ørjan Bakke

Koninlijke Landmacht & Koninlijke Marine Procurement Order
- Whom it may Concern, Sales Department, Havenic Trading Company
- Oberstleutnant D. Franck, Quartermaster-General's Aide, Koninlijke Landmacht

Salutations,

Certain units in the Koninlijke Landmacht and Koninlijke Marine preferred the superlative Breyr Semi-Automatic Pistol No. 1 to the Mistalnam L45 (P.2), which is intended to be the standard service sidearm of the Koninlijke Kriegsmacht.

Given the capabilities and operational taskings of these units, it was deemed appropriate to request domestic production rights to the Breyr SAP, which will be designated P.3. In addition, a total of three hundred and seventy-five (375) Mk. II Breyrs have been ordered, to be designated P.4 and see service with various special operations units and protective details. The appropriate funds are standing by for immediate transfer upon confirmation of the order.

Regards,
- Lieutenant Colonel D. Franck,

By direct Authority of the Kaiser. The Armament Ministry wishes to launch an official inquiry into making the RA-87M Assault Rifle the new mainstay weapon for the Reich's army.

The only condtion the Kaiser has requested is that domestic production rights be granted and factories established within the Reich to produce both weapons and their ammuniton utilizing the 7.62 x 39 mm rounds.

The Kaiser anxiously awaits your reply.
