O.O.C.: new world is a project I have just initiated, the idea is that you pick a spot you like and then put a country there; once this is done you may use this world as a seting for any future rp that you may want to have. The country can be of any tech rating you want(to a point) and any magic rating(within reason) you want on this new world.(the new world will from here on out be called Natoria) However, whatever tech or magic level you go with, you will have to be willing to put up with, deal with, and get-along or war with nations that have more or less technology or magic than you do. nations can be made up of any people, from humans to giant intelligent amoeba; from magical gnomes to tiny green men; it doesn't matter as long as it makes sense.

Now for the crunchy bit.

this is the map of Natoria: http://nabataea.net/PeriReisWorldMap1.jpg
it is a world much like earth but with a few notable changes. first it has a much larger poler cap, and the western hemisphere is more stretched; second there is a brightly colored and beautiful ring that surrounds the planet eliminating the night and almost drowning out the stars: http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/images/cassini/2004-07-09/PIA05075-browse.jpg ; and third, Natoria has four moons: http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/wml/spaceandtime/planetarium/solar-system/graphics/jupiter/four-moons.jpg exactly like those of Saturn. you can put nations any where you want but the final size and placement will be worked out between you and me(it should be fine unless someone els already claimed the spot or you request an unreasonably large land area) one or more of the moons may be open for colonization depending on tech/magic level, quality of back story and so on.

I believe that this will be useful as that it could provide us with a rich full world, complete with landmarks and its own personal politics, in which to hold rps.

Is it possible to have an area stretching from Italy to Turkey? Is there a limit to the length of a land claim?

I'll assume this is like the Earth series?

if it is very thin lets say 40miles wide then I would say that that would be fine

I'll assume this is like the Earth series? I have not actually read those in much detail (that is to say i did not do more than glance the first few posts of the earth 2 thread) but it seems likely that that is the case. however in case I am far off let this suffice, Natoria is to Earth(our Earth) as D.C.'s universe's Earth-13 is to D.C.'s Amalgam universe.

OOC: Will it be possible to claim all of Italy to Turkey, or will I have to sacrifice some? I am just making sure. Also, I might decide to claim this part of Natoria or another.

Thank you for the information, let me think of where to claim. Also, just curious, but is the landmass to the South open for claiming?
