Alexander-1 Main Battle Tank

Overview:
The Condurian Alexander-1 Main Battle tank was introduced when they broke away from Payal and became a free nation, this tank has defended Condure from Payian attacks when the civil war broke out. Payal stood down but gave condure an ultimatum which was for Condure to become a puppet which they agreed on but did not wish to provide military technology.
The Alexander-1 was designed by Alfred Biggins who had served the condurian government during the civil war, he imaged a tank that could withstand attacks from the Payian Savior MBT but was unable to come up with a design in time but was able to design one that could match the Savior and give the Condurian nation a real taste of free life.
Design:
The Design of the Alexander is closely familiar with the Chieftan tank, which also the Savior MBT is based around. The Alexander is more heavier and more powerful weapon wise but is slower due to the more weight she weighs, having more armour and firepower than the Savior but loses out on accuracy as the Alexander uses a smoothbore rather than a rifled cannon and her reload time is a few seconds slow than the Savior.
The Alexander can be fitted with extra tanks to give it a longer movement/combat range giving it another advantage over the Savior; depending on the size of the extra tank the Alexander can go up to an extra 30-50km more than its normal fuel supply. The Alexander MBT uses Chobham armour, the Alexander also uses NBC protection so that chemical warfare can not stop it.
Armament:
The Alexander-1 Main Battle Tank’s Armaments consist of One 135mm Smoothbore cannon and One .50 Cal M2HB. The Alexander-1 does not have an smoke discharges at all and relies on its cannon and armour to help it fight. The One 135mm Smoothbore cannon has a longer ranger than the Savior, giving it an advantage over the Savior’s range but since it is a smoothbore cannon this decreases its accuracy. Its .50 Cal M2HB is the same as the savior and is used against infantry, not having a long range, it cant be used unless in a medium-short range attack.
Protection:
The Alexander-1 uses Chobham armour which is good against High Explosion rounds, which the Savior used for a long period of the Civil war, Chobham armour is a composite amrour of ceramic tiles with a matrix that is layered between steel armour plating., Which is excellent for deflecting (HEAT) rounds. First used by the British army in the 1960’s, the latest version of this armour is used on the British Challenger 2, the American M1 Abram.
The Alexander also uses the NBC protection system, which protects against nuclear, biological and chemical warfare but not only protects, it can also detect such uses of this warfare. The Alexander also uses a hard-kill system which is radars/senors that detect incoming projectiles, within a second launching a counter projectile to either damage or destroy the incoming round. The Condurian System is codenamed “Polaris”, this system used shotgun-like blasts just before the projectile hits the tank.
