OOC: Man this thread moves fast.
Jim Andrews, the security manager picked up the phone and redialled the S&P number.
"Hi, this is Jim Andrews, security manager at the Doubloon. Could I arrange a meeting with Ken Paul for about three-thirty?"
"Excellent, why doesn't he come here? It will save us some time."
OOC- this forum moves so fast. and i wasn't here yesterday
Ken Paul ran into his Anaheim office, and said,
"I'm so sorry Natasha, I slept in again."
Natasha, Ken's secretary, said,
"It's all right, you got a message today from a man named Jim Andrews. He wants to see you for some six-month security estimates."
"Niiice", Ken said, "What time's the meeting?"
"At fifteen thirty."
Ken looked at his Swatch, it was 1327
"Shit, and I'm not even dressed nice."
Ken was not wearing the most apropos clothes that one will wear for a buisness meeting; a grey tanktop shirt, showing his gunnery seargent rank on his arm, and blue jeans. Both items of clothing had the appearence and the smell of being worn for too many hours without being washed. Ken ran into his office rom. He closed the shades and began taking off his clothes. With only boxers on, Ken began putting deoderant and clolgne in order to cover up his smell, even though it would make it worse. He put on a light blue dress shirt and navy dress pants. He put on a navy blazer on top of the shirt.
"This looks professional", he thought.
He walked out of the room, realizing that he had cowboy boots on.
"Give me that hat", was what Ken said.
"Why, it is my brother's.", Natasha said.
"Look at these."
Natasha looked down and saw the boots.
She gave it to him, on the condition that he will give it back.
Ken walked out of the apartment, and his Saab 9-3 convertible cruised down the highway to the Golden Dubloon Casino

"Hold on a second," Lance put down the phone, "Theres something were missing, this guys acting like he holds all the cards, there must been someone watching us. Everyone get into the basement, they can't hurt us there."
"I don't understand why you are so keen on us returning the weapons, the Revs are a weak gang. You speak of honor but you are the head of a criminal organization. Returning the weapons is not an option at the moment. Most of them have been fenced. I will pay you the street value of the shipment but you have to guarantee reparations on the hotel and an alliance between our two organizations or at least a non agression pact."

The Irishman on the phone tutted
"Mr Silverstein, you don't get it do you? It's not the money we're interested in. We know the Revolutionarys are in a tough position which is why we sold them discount weapons in the first place. My boss was in a charitable mood that day and when he heard about how his goodwill had been spoiled somewhat it darkened his mood greatly. The money we would get for the weapons is no comparison to what we would have to pay for the refurbishment of this hotel you seen to care so much about. I grow patient of asking this question so this will be the last time, Deal or no Deal?"

14-06-2007, 21:19
"What do you want me to do? I don't have the damn weapons, I can't give back what I don't have. You bombed my base of operations, you not only destroyed my first and second floor, you set cops snooping all over the place. You do not want an alliance? You are making a big mistake, together we could rule this city. One gang alone will never accomplish that."
Alversia
14-06-2007, 21:23
The Irishman sighed impatiently and said:
"That is another reason behind the bombing. You claim you want to rule this city. That is deeply disturbing to us. If there are two gangs that rule the city then who will we sell our weapons to? Your demand would eventually dry up and oour sort of contact cannot be put on hold. Many gangs and many wars are what we want and what we want is for that to continue. We have many alliances and so no reason why we should accept yours"
a pause
"Am I to presume that you have rejected our generous offer?"
Aurum Domus
14-06-2007, 21:28
Lance was getting angrier.
"I don't want to reject your offer, I don't see how it is possible for me to hand back the weapons when they have already been fenced. We do not wish to fight you, bloodshed is bad for business. I can't agree to your terms when I do not have the merchandise. Again, what the hell do you want me to do?"
Alversia
14-06-2007, 21:34
The Irishman laughed, he was enjoying this
"You don't want to reject our offer, yet you do not want to accept our offer. You wish to conquer the city but do want to get your hands dirty. You have some interesting policies Mr Silverstein. Very well. If you cannot hand over the weapons to the Revolutionarys then you will call a truce with them. You will cease all fighting and give them whatever reparations they desire. If you accept this deal then we shall rebuild your hotel. This will be the final time. After this no more deals. It's 'take it or leave it' time. I eagerly await your decision"

Jim Andrews met the man on the wide steps leading to the casino entrance, signalling for an attendant to take the convertible around the back for parking. Smiling, he held out his hand and introduced himself.
"Hi, I'm Jim Andrews, head of security here at the doubloon. If you'd like to follow me then I'll show you around."
Leading Ken Paul into the main foyer, Jim Andrews paused to point out the various security features of the casino.
"As you can see we have cameras covering the front entrance and the main floor, we're looking to get more installed to cover the rest of the building before long. We have roller shutters to cover these glass doors and windows, fairly heavy duty things..."
Two suited men in sunglasses stroll past and Andrews nods at them, waiting until they are out of earshot before continuing.
"As for personnel, we have about thirty guards on the main shift and minimum five, but they aren't the most professional outfit in the world. Our contract is up with them in a month and I'm not keen on renewing it."
This wasn't entirely true of course, the casino paid protection money to the LBA and the guards they sent over were at least presentable. But the organisation had clearly stated that they didn't have the manpower to handle the casino and still maintain control of Long Beach. Hence the need for a professional outfit, heck, it wouldn't cost more than they could handle and the LBA would still be right around the corner.

"Thirty men", he said, "and how big is this place?"
"Big enough, as you'll see. We've always operated under the assumption of protection from the local business association, and we've procedures in place with the local police and fire service of course."
"Besides the check in and foyer area here we have two large open floors. Poker, craps, roulette, you know the sorts of thing. Three smaller private rooms behind those provide alternative facilities for our more wealthy clients. There's also an arcade with slot machines and computerised gambling and a smaller one for entertainment."
"There are two bars, one on the main floor here and one on the second floor to cater for the restaurant and twenty suites up there. The top floor is divided into two sections, a group of conference rooms for let and the administration centre for the business."

"Okay, I need to see the vault and the security camera room."
"Of course, if you'd like to follow me."
Andrews leads him toward an unmarked door set into the wooden panelled wall, it looks strong and has no handle or obvious way of opening. A handheld radio is produced from somewhere and a few phrases are exchanged, Ken Paul might also notice a security camera in the wall above them swivel to focus on their faces.
The door rolls open after a moment and they head down a set of stairs into a dimly lit corridor. A security terminal, unmanned, sits a little way down the passage and behind it is another door, this one sheathed in stainless steel. Jim swipes a keycard in the terminal and pushes the door open, revealing the security office.
The medium sized room is lit by the dim glow of a dozen monitors mounted on the far wall, these show views from the security cameras around the casino, although one is switched to a sports channel. Beyond the row of three computer terminals is a rack of five rifles, complete with a glass front. A key for the cabinet hangs around the neck of the lone guard on duty.

Andrews indicates a hatch in the floor with a combination code on it.
"That's mostly used for service but it opens into the vault. The main door opens into the rear foyer, that's solid steel and needs an access code and visual ID to open."
"The fortnight's takings are loaded onto an armoured car from a local firm and taken to the bank. We pack the coin and notes inside the vault at the end of each day, so it only takes about ten minutes to transfer it all to the vehicle."

His personal bodyguard sat in the drivers seat and two other high ranking men, Jack Grossman and Jason Siegel, sat in the back. The Mustang had bulletproof glass and internal armour plating, nothing was getting through it.

Cops armed with pistols and shotguns jump out. The helicopter buzzes overhead with a megaphone. "Get out of your vehicle with your hands up. You have 20 seconds. The police helicopter would lose the two Lancers as they flew around a corner and dorve into a warehouse out of sight from the helicopter. The chopper gave up and returned to the Rev's car.
Across the way from the surrounded gangmembers and away from the window so it couldn't be seen. A bye with a ciggarette in his mouth, set a MINIMI up on it's bi-pod and watched two others do the same. He waited for the signal from the Pátrún
At the Mafia headquarters, a phone rang. Once answered the man stated "I speak for Fianna Seactana. The meeting has been compromised and will be rescheduled. The two cars backed out of the warehouse and joined the main line of traffic back to the coast. They didn't even own the warehouse so it wouldn't matter if the police raided it. They'd find nothing but a few crates of fish and a dead dog.

There was no answer to the police demands. A state trooper hefted what seemed to be a grenade launcher, and fired. A canister smashed though the windshield of the car and began spurting tear gas. IC: The grenade flew and landed on a pilice cars roof, then went off, blowing up the car and damaging several of the cars around it. The cops rushed over to the other side of the SUV, one gang member charged them, rifle blazing. One cop went down with a gunshot to the chest, but another cop squeezed off a shot from his pistol, hitting the gang member in the head, killing him. The Cop at the reception was bored. He was waiting for his shift to come to an end so he could home and sleep. He'd been up all day. There were only a dozen or so people in the waiting room, several men with Police escorts and all the rest were young men. He was too tired to think anything of it. A cop came up to his desk and said "I was told to leave this package here for a Detective Lowry" The Cop yawned, "Put it there and I'll scan it through" as the second cop put the package down he went into his coat pocket. The Receptionist was too slow to react and recieved several bullets through the chest as a result from the mans silenced pistol. Several other Cops in the room attempted to draw their weapons but were cut down by the other people and Cops in the waiting room.
The Cop signalled out through the door and men carrying AK-104's and Uzi's came into the station. The other men were handed guns and Balaclavas, they waited for the signal. The Leader pressed a button in his hand.
All over the station, small patches of explosive had been placed in sutle places, a fire extinguisher, someones file, an office. They all went off and caused carnage all over the station. Cops were flung out of their chairs and off their feet by the blasts. The Seactana men moved forward rapidly, through the smoke and the flames. Any Cop who emerged was gunned down. SWAT and State Troopers had been dispatched to find the culprits, but the search had so far turned up empty. Suddenly a cop rushed in. "Sir," he said, waving a thick folder of papers, "we've captured one of the cruisers!" The chief grabbed the papers and read though them. The police cruiser had not responded to the calls, so other cruisers had rammed it off the road. It had crashed into a ditch and exploded, killing all inside. The bodies were those of the Revs, but the leader had somehow escaped. So had the men who had bombed the place and killed all those people. The chief clutched the papers in a trembling fist. 10 Miles Off Catalina Island
Four speedboats of heavily armed Mafia members sped through the water. They were getting ready to intercept a drug boat coming out of the East rumoured to be holding over 1 million kilos of opium. The Jewish Mafia wasn't in the business of dealing drugs directly but they regularly sold unfinished product to others who would refine it.
The boat they were heading for wasn't huge but it wasn't small either. It was a 75 foot yacht that had been converted by one of the drug cartels for smuggling. These boats were slow but could carry a lot and blend in with the rest of the boats in the area. There was an estimated 20 men guarding the shipment.
