OOC: Hello there. This is a new RP idea I have come up with, based on the stories of Baron Munchausen (namesake of the disorder) who was well known for telling stories. I recently watched the movie about him, and I decided to try this out as a RP.

Story:
The RP is set in the 18th century, in a small European town, where the Turkish Sultan plans to lay siege. In the town, a theatre group performs as characters in the stories of Baron Munchausen. The leader of the town is so devoted to reason, he executes a soldier who commit a deed of bravery, saying it would be "demoralizing".
During the theatre performance, an elderly man claiming to be the real Baron Munchausen protests the inaccuracies in the production and as he tells a story, the Turks begin their attack.
The Baron says that he will save the town, and a young girl (who is fascinated by his stories) accompanies him in the search to find his old companions who helped him fight the Turks before.

There is both a book and movie on his stories, and I hope to blend the two together in this RP. Now, here are a list of characters which are open to be played as.
1. Baron Munchausen
2. Amelia (the girl who accompanies the Baron, named Sally in the movie)
3. Don Quixote (appears in the book only but will appear in this RP)
4. Gustavus, Albrecht, Berthold and Aldophus (The Baron's four companions)
5. Vulcan and Venus (from Roman mythology, appear in movie and in this RP)
6. The King and Queen of the Moon (appear in movie and in this RP)
7. Mr. Jackson (Governor of the Town)
8. The Turkish Sultan
The RP is set in the 18th century (as was the movie) but for the introduction, I would like that set in the 20th-21st century because I hope to start off with a person buying the "Adventures of Baron Munchausen" from a market or something. I based this off Cervantes' Don Quixote, where he says:
"One day, as I was in the Alcana of Toledo, a boy came up to sell some pamphlets and old papers to a silk mercer, and, as I am fond of reading even the very scraps of paper in the streets, led by this natural bent of mine I took up one of the pamphlets the boy had for sale...."
