1st this is for our own nations set in the past. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for what era and any other ideas

From what I've seen in the past, attempts have already been made with this concept in a Napoleonic time-period (the name of this RP escapes my mind at the moment), a WWI centered time-period (Earth 1914, which I believe is still active), as well as a WWII centered time-period (this has been attempted multiple times without much success). Nevertheless, I suppose another attempt at doing a Napoleonic-era scenario could be viable, but I think there are a myriad of other eras which could prove highly condusive to such a scenario. Below are my suggestions:

- Age of Discovery [15th-16th Century-based; centered around the discovery, subjugation, and conquest of 'new lands' by NS-members]
- Age of Absolutism/Enlightenment [17th-18th Century-based; NS-members duke it out for control of the world at home and among their overseas possessions]
- Industrial Age/ New Imperialism [late 19th Century-based; essentially a combination of the two previous scenarios with more advanced technology and a distinct 'nationalist/class-warfare' tinge]

A Medieval or even Antiquity-oriented scenario could also probably be done, but seem less workable (due to problems of communication between nations etc.) in the long run. In addition, I feel as though attempting yet another WWI or WWII scenario would be rather foolish, as there is already one WWI scenario currently in active play (at least I believe there is; correct me if I'm wrong) and WWII has been attempted so many times.

Also, in terms of the realm in which this scenario will be conducted, is it to be a mostly made-up world or an RL world?

I tried a medieval styled RP a while ago, and it didn't work to well. It was probably just because I have very little patience to make a thread, but someone more organised than me would probably be able to make it work.

Yeah, but there's the same problem with that as there is with Medieval, lack of communication between countries.

I think it would be cool if it was set maybe in the late 40's or early 50's where there was the clash of the ideologies of communism and capitalism and in the third world was either coming out of colonization and gaining independence or when the already independent thrid world were basket cases sufering coup after coup and tinpot dictators and extreme poverty and maybe wartorn nations recoverying from a ww2 1939-1945.

this would be a good idea. If I had one of those seals for my nation, this would have it, but I do not so you´ll just have to pretend it´s here.

I recently participated in a RL world RP like that, before we got kicked off the forums, so I'm kinda tried of the whole communism-capitalism thing, but I'll give it a go if everyone else wants it.

I still think someone should put up a poll or we have a vote.
