The Mongol Hordes [EFJ Only]

Honako
10-06-2007, 10:12
For over one hundred years the people of Honakon had hated Mongolia. That country was the reason why for so many years Honakon had been in isolation - that country to them was an embarrassing mistake that had to be rid from Honakon's history.

Ever since the Mongol's were granted freedom by the French in 1794 history had been turbulent, and relations strained. The Honakon people wanted the large nation as part of their lands, wanted another home. Back then Mongolia at least had some power, some friends. Between 1885 and 1890 they tried to retake it, but there stopped by Russika forces - and now revenge would be serve to a large country that could barely survive on it's own anyway. The Honakon Empire would annex, modernize it, and create it into another part of Mainland Honakon (RL China) - well, that was the plan.

But, they would have to have excuses. Last time the Mongol hordes attacked their border town of Niche, killing over a thousand, and they waged war. This time, it was to be over a bomb in the same town, a bomb no one knew who had planted it, but exploded, killing 76 - and providing enough reason for the Mongol hordes, now an terror group, to come back onto the scene, and trigger a war between the two nations.

Extract from Speech by Mikel Kennis, Deputy For Foreign Affiars In Honakon
"On this very day, at 02:19am in the morning, an Mongolian terror group, codenamed the 'Mongol Hordes', attacked our border town in Niche for the second time ever - and for the second time, triggered war. Seventy-six of Honakon's citizens were killed in this heartless horrific act, and now, once again, the nation of Mongolia shall pay for it's actions. For many years their government has harboured these terrorists, and we will not sit back once more whilst the Mongol's brutally attack our nation. Surrender my neighbours in the North, your country will be part of our thriving Empire much like Huis (RL Thailand) or Les Corées (RL The Koreas) for the good of your people, or we will assault your nation until it falls"
It was mostly desert on the border, but all the major towns, cities and airports would be warned - probably. And as the operations began on the border, a Mongolian response was waited on; they would try and save civilian life, though it seemed unlikely that all would be spared.

Turquin had the contents of the folder scattered about his grand oaken desk, inside were photos taken off News reports and agents inside Honako, Turquin had never really been trustful of Honako and their planned invasion of Mongolia only served to further his distrust, the Mongolians would likely be over-run in a manner of days, a country that had always been an ally of the Sultanate even helping in their bid for recognised independence.

It all hinged on how Honako responded to the terrorist threat, if Mongolia was to be fought over then it would not be so easy having to fight the Khasjim aswell, already the Amir had thought it prudent to increase border patrols and begin a partial mobilisation of the Khasjim forces, the Honako would not be blind to this mobilisation but if all went smoothly the Khasjim would either not need it or be forced into conflict.

There was a knock at the door and the Amir was forced from his trance over a map of Mongolia, there stood in the door Minister Shara Qasim smiled at the Amir, she walked forwards and placed another folder on the table, "Details on Honako, we've got word that the Honako foreign affairs ministry has confirmed that they are marching to war." The Minister sat down at the other side of the desk and considered the possible viable tactics on how to bring down an enemy far larger than themselves whilst the Amir considered the possibility of having to go to war at last.

The Amir looked up at the Minister after having flicked through the folder, "Shara, order a full mobilisation, we'll need everything and to damn with the economy!" The Amirs hair scattered into his eyes as he angrilly finished his sentence, he had either just doomed the Khasjim Sultanate or made it more glorious than ever.

The terror plot one is a proven track record, apparently :P

Necropolis-Imperial Concourse
Strategic Operations Chamber

Friends were not common for the Dominion, as many nations and individuals didn't like Imperial regimes. It was a quandry-they brought the most stability, yet no one seemed to see their benefits. Rather have a nation where the people frequently spoke out and dissent ravaged...foolish. But when the occasional nation stronger rose up in something or other, the Dominion wasn't dumb enough to not grasp onto opportunities when they opened up.

As the Emperor, Sion, Kressh, Nihilis, and several of the military elite stood around in the Strategic Operations Chamber-the global planning center for the military-data constantly analyzed on the two-dimensional high-def image that covered the entire floor of the chamber-50 meters by 47 meters. It was a giant map of the world, with every Dominion military asset located in its proper position. It was the tool for planning strategic moves, operations, and military battles-and it was all at the Emperor's feet.

Honakon was a constant thing of flux for the Dominion strategic command-Formosa Region lay far too close to mainland Honakon, and the Dominion never knew about Honakon's intention for the oval island. The Dominion itself was only just off the borders of both Tymh Spltr Invsn and Honakon itself, providing for the Dominion's aggressive military stance-to never be caught unaware, part of the reason of the nation's motto: Semper Vigilans, always vigilant.

So now, the fate of Mongolia lay in the balance. A pittance of a nation-it was small, well-populated but very poor. It didn't even trade with the Dominion or buy any products-therefore, beneath the Dominion's sight. To top that off, apparently Honakon wanted to invade-and suddenly, with the Dominion's close proximity to Mongolia and Honakon, the opportunity to pick up the trust of a nation that lay far too close to the Dominion's borders was avaliable. Truth be told, Honakon seemed less advanced than the Dominion in the military arena-using such assets like the Ticonderoga class cruiser and the Dassault Rafale as their primary fighter-but certainly was larger. That was of true concern to the Dominion-and a reason to get on their good side, especially if the plan for the Bear would be accomplished.

Droma, the three Apprentices around, and the military leaders composed a short, but truthful, encrypted comm to the Honakon leadership...hopefully to pull the right strings.

The plot against Mongolia is a good one indeed-but no doubt they will simply surrender. No country likes having its sovereignty thrown away-and clearly, you will need military force to accomplish your objective. Do not doubt the Mongols-they may be limited, but they will take a toll on your forces. Frequently your nation looks for what others may present to benefit you-but surrounded by world powers, the Dominion can present you with something: a trustworthy nation right on your border. To solidify this promise, we propose having a joint coalition enter Mongolia to eradicate the opposition. The Dominion's military tech is one of the finest in the world, easily making up for what is a force smaller than some. Let us help you in your trials and solidify this Eastern sphere.

OOC: This terror attack isn't as straight forward from the normal ones, as if you think about it, and as this developes, you'll realise who actually did it.

Also Khasjim - if you want to RP Mongolia you can't get your nation involved as well. Other than that, I have no objections. AB - you say I'm not advanced, I used some of the most advanced RL stuff mostly due to the fact a) I may be rich, but I have a massive population and b) I know little about NS tech. Also, AB, another way to be friends with my nations is to look at my recent post in the Meeting of Leaders...

Governor Utah Yule plans were being set. The King had put the Governor for Bontagne (RL Central China) in charge of the military operations in Mongolia. Whilst HRH thought it would be an easy swift mission, Utah knew that anything could happen in war. Last time they had tried to attack the country they took it in five months, but where driven out in three years by the Russians. This time, however, they were stronger, better equipped in relation to other nations - and ready for war which they thought it would be foolish for others to oppose them on.

And whilst the final things clicked into place, Utah addressed some issues. Firstly, noticeable movement in the borders between them at Khasjim - if they were to act like that, then so would Honakon. And secondly, the nation of Amazonian Beasts had become involved. Their island neighbours had often been looked at in wonder by the billions of Honakon, they knew little about them, even in comparison to their tiny knowledge of other nations. Meeting some of their most important personal in Duska, Honakon still left them confused as to what they were about. But, with the possibility of an alliance being formed between these nations at the Meeting, they would trust them.

To The Powerful Dominion Military Command Centre,

We know little of the Dominion's intents and reasons for their assistance in helping us in Mongolia. I understand my King is trying to strike an alliance with your nation at a conference currently however, so we will trust you. Though, not meaning to be rude as we are highly pleased about your offer - but we hope you do not view this as another chance to gain land yourself, as Mongolia will be punished and taken to our lands, though your assistance will grant you a friendship with us, and a continued presence their (military bases etc.).

Operations will begin shortly, but it is unlikely that will start with a full ground invasion. However, troops will both be necessary for the taking of cities, peacekeeping after the invasion, and ones trained in desert warfare. Thank you again, and we hope you mean well.

The Mongolians, though they may seem weak, can not possibly be seen by any idiot to be a pushover. These are probably the world's greatest warriors.

On these gigantic steeps an unwise enemy could easily starve himself... but it looked as if someone serious was coming.

Bulgia was not impressed. While the Mongols had thousands of kilometres into which they could retreat without being beaten, the Bulgians were seeking ways to give them arms. Bulgia has a lot of retro-70s weaponry to give away!

In Bulgia Republic the military was alerted to hostilities east, and Strategic Missile Command activated.

Mongolia should resist. Bulgia could easily be targeted, next, by these rampaging imperialists... if Mongolia fights back, no body will dare try it on Bulgia!

...Conquering Mongolia could never be an easy feat.

OOC: I know you made the proposal, but this is more about the Imperial side of my government winning international votes, rather than trying to get to be allies. Some shady dealings, essentially-though of course, that's classified. Essentially, the Dominion Imperial gov't is treating this like the Nazis did with the Spanish Civil War, except in a little more "internal" light.

IC:

Droma laughed out loud as the return address electronically came back to the SOC. While Honakon justifiably was worried about land-grabbing, this was exactly how Droma wanted it to play. His latest toys had never seen full-scale combat-and now was a better time than ever to try them out, against a nation-Mongolia-that ahd a legacy of tradition but little in ability now. Dominion forces would lose little, but gain much, through this exchange of arms.

Mongolia would be the first to taste it, but they wouldn't be the last.

Addressed to the Honakon Leadership

This is no landgrab-the Dominion is set on its current holdings, and sees the East as a harmonious locale-no need to upset that balance. This test of arms is simply one more point in the Dominion's look to solidify Eastern relations after all the scandals regarding Marxikhan recently-we see it in both of our interests to close the gap. As for the operation itself, we can certainly have troops on for the taking of cities and for desert warfare.

Ulaanbaatarr, Mongolia

Nambaryn Enkhbayar was relaxing in his office when one of his aides suddenly rushed into the room. "Good evening sir. I pray you bring me good news?"

The aide looked ad his feet, and gained his composure. "No sir. Unfortunately, those dastardly people in Honakon have it out for us again."

"What! They wouldn't dare!" The president shook his head in disbelief. "Well, times are a changing. Let me see the briefing." The aide handed it over, and the president read it twice before responding. "Terrorist group my ass! You know this is some sorry attempt by their own special ops guys to make us look bad and so do you! We don't harbor terrorists here! All the same, it appears that Honako is very serious. Prepare the army. We will not last long, but we can make them pay anyways. Also, begin arming the civilian populace. Teach them the basic ways of warfare. Our streets can become a living hell if they strike our cities..."

The aide interrupted him. "Sir, there's more."

"More? Ah yes, the reactions of neighboring nations." He read this packet twice as well. "Well, it seems that Amazonian troops are moving into northern Honako. Our intelligence believes they are amassing for a joint Honako-Amazon strike into our beloved Mongolia. Also, Khasjim is mobilizing. They appear to feel threatened by the recent actions of Honako. And there is no word from Marxihan. Perhaps we can aid that in coming. Send word to both Marxihan and Khasjim. We need their aid. And also send in Mendsaikhan Enkhsaikhan.

"Yes sir." The aide departed and began forming letters to the said nations. It would be some time before Enkhsaikhan would arrive, and he had time to do this first. He didn't know that he would not be allowed to hear Enkhsaikhan's conversation.

SUBJECT: Impending Invasion

As you may know, Honako is planning on invading my nation. We are coming to the understanding that Amazonia will be involved too. You border Honako, and we know that you have less than favorable relations with both them and Amazonia. It is because of this that we ask your aid in the upcoming trials. You may do as you see fit, but any and all aid is necessary. You are the leader of a brave people. Let them show their colors by aiding us this day.

Sincerely,
Nambaryn Enkhbayar
President of Mongolia

TO: Khasjim
FROM: Mongolia
SUBJECT: Impending Invasion

As you may know, Honako is planning on invading my nation. We are coming to the understanding that Amazonia will be involved too. We have noticed that you are mobilizing your forces as you have become wary of Honako. We ask that you might aid us as we attempt to retain our sovereignty in this fight. Russia, who borders us to the north is to unreliable. We have asked them for help in the past, but they simply made us one of their puppet nations. We wish for this to not happen again. Understand, my friend. If Mongolia is to fall- you very well may be next.

Sincerely,
Nambaryn Enkhbayar
President of Mongolia

After sending out those two letters, he walked back towards the Presidents office. Enkhsaikhan was already inside, and the President waved him off furiously.

Meanwhile, inside the meeting

Enkhsaikhan looked over his shoulder to see the aide retreating down the hall. "Who was that?" He questioned.

The president sighed. "Just one of my mindless aides. Now, lets get down to business." Enkhsaikhan was the head of Mongolia's black operations. They had one squad, but it had been trained by members of the KGB. "Now, these heathens below us accuse us of being terrorists. I say we agree and give them something to chew on."

"Hell yeah. Sorry Mr. President, excuse my language. I love the idea, but won't this run off potential allies?" Enkhsaikhan looked confused.

"On the contrary Mr. Enkhsaikhan, it should draw at least one to our cause. Now, I give you permission to do whatever you see fit. However, plant evidence at the scene that would show Marxihan being involved. If Honako finds that evidence and responds as they have in the past, it might divert their forces right away from us and towards Marxihan."

"I like the way you think, Mr. President. I leave now to fullfill my duty to my country. Good day, sir." And with that, Enkhsaikhan left the office.

Over The Skies Of Mongolia's Major Towns, Cities and Airports

A few planes swept over the skies of the Mongolian towns within 1000km of the Honakon borders. They dropped thousands of leaflets to the ground of cities, towns and airports. It was believed well into the hundreds of thousands would be affected by what was to happen, and Honakon would give civilians one hour to leave their homes. Then, a hell would be unleashed upon them from the sky.

The Night Of The Blitz...

The primarily strike began. The desert was swamped by small groups of heavily armed and rigorously trained special ops and cruise missile operators. They pushed forward into the desert, not a soul seen, quietly as night crept in. They would provide the attacks on the more populated central Mongolia and military bases – they planned to take out the feeble Mongolian airforce in one swift move. As they set up camp after moving some 100 kilometres inland, they knew that they must be quick and use and abandoned all remaining equipment after the job was done. A commander listened intently to his radio, waiting for the all important orders to be given. They would be the first to strike, and the first to leave, a signal to the Mongolians – if they would not surrender, they would be bombarded.

And the order was given. Only areas which had a military presence on the border were to be hit, however the other aim was to destroy as much of there crappy infrastructure as the missiles could – but not many cruise missiles would be deployed, they were expensive and not needed much, the airforce would give the greatest blow.

An intense mixture of Storm Shadow, AGM-86C’s, BGM-109 Tomahawk Land Attack Missile and MBDA Apache’s to shatter the runways of the airport targets were launched on the enemy’s targets in quick succession. Shells also were scattered in clusters by planes at targets believed to house infantry and tanks. The effects were destructive, as towns and cities on the border such as Olgiy, Dund-Us, Dalandzagdad, Barrun Urt and airports such Buyant Uhaa had their targets ripped apart from the ground, as all night waves and waves of planes bombed their military instillations and infrastructure, and the odd cruise missile landed, destroying the area around it. Nearly all major border towns and cities were targeted, and the Mongolian military was rocked by the explosions upon them.

But it was not merely the border areas that were targeted, there were more places of importance, for starters – the place were most of the military would likely be, and the head of the economy and population – Ulaanbaatar. B-1R Lancers and B-52 Stratofortress’s were covered by Dassault Rafeals and Eurofighter Typhoons in what would be a large scale bombing operation that lasted all night. The only resistance they could of encountered was SAM’s, but the onslaught on planes bombed the heavy industrial areas, high infrastructure and military bases of the capital and surronding areas in an attempt to cripple the country. By morning, Ulaanbaatar on the horizon, like many other cities and towns in Mongolia, could be seen on the horizon with a thin line of flames.

Losses were minimal, half a dozen planes at most due to a complete lack of an airforce – most of which had been estimated to be destroyed during the first raids on the airports anyway. The destruction had been vast and bad for Mongolia, and it was the first of many nights like this unless it surrendered.

And as this happened the troops prepared – 500,000 thousand of the fine men of The Imperial Armed Ground Forces *Of The King* (IAGF) mobilized, and over 24,000 of the most highly trained in desert warfare entered the Southern Areas of Mongolia, whilst slowly but surely, thousands at a time, around 30,000 troops entered either sides of the Mongol terrority. Overnight they moved many miles, flanked by trucks and monitored by planes and helicopters – all villages were searched and any resisters arrested, and in one night they had blitzed Mongolia, left a pile of rubble behind, and advanced far into it’s lesser populated borders.

Whilst all this was going on, the government remembered the primary cause of this war - terror. And so, they made a public statement saying that "military areas are targeted" and that "ever day we strike at Mongolia, we strike at the terrorists" - they also annouced that the cornered off scene in Niche had found old Soviet equipment, used by Mongolia regularly to be the make of the bomb, leading to rumours that not only did the Mongolians harbour terrorists, but they also supplied them as well. This fueled public support for the war, which rose to some 81%.

OOC: Well, apparently I've already moved through your northern neck, Honako (I'm cool with that), so I'll just jump on the stick from there and hit from the East.

IC:

Nightfall was the primeval time of evil. Darkness swallowing the land, it had from time immemorial harbored the darkest spirits and lowest truths of any land. Mongolia was a citadel of dark thought-the Mongol hordes that had plummeted down from the steppes had brought death and destruction everywhere they paced. However, they were about to get their worth from the sea people-those who knew not the life of the steppes, but lived from the waters-now to the land.

1 AM

"Setting up our attack vectors now."

The two squadrons of F-13C Flares, burning on thrust-vectoring jets in the dark night sky, were the most lethal stealth interceptors to grace Earth's air-capable of holding more ammunition, proceeding deeper into penetration, and exceeding speeds of the F-22 Raptor, the previous title-holder. The better part-the C version was carrier-capable. The ADV Solstice CVBG hung just off the coast of Honakon, holding a full load of fighters and aircraft. The ADV Equinox, titleholder of the supercarrier class, was also in the mix.

Right behind the Flares were a mixed force of multi-role aircraft that tonight were being used for preliminary strike on the city that the Dominion was using as a staging point for deeper penetration-Choybalsan, with a population of just over 47,000. It shouldn't be a particularly hard city to take, especially with the Dominion slash-and-burn tactics-ruthless efficiency that quite often left thousands dead. The Flares and their escortee strike craft were about to launch the first part of that strategy tonight on Choybalsan

"Right-ho guy-os," Upsilon Lead, commanding both Upsilon and Eta squadrons of Flares, commed to his strike craft behind. Like the Mongolians could even detect the craft when they were on comm silence.

"Go ahead mates," Lead reported, a British accent coming in. "Your target's clear."

"Copy Upsilon Lead, this is Phi Lead taking my boys in," reported the leader of the E-18G Growler half-squadron that was with the wing of Flares, Rafales, and Super Hornets.

The Growlers banked low, their afterburners pulsing purple as they dove towards the ground, AGM-88 HARMs hanging off hardpoints. The Flares above had hardpoints, but weren't using them-the ALRAAMs, AMRAAMs, and Sidewinders aboard the Flares were all stored tonight inside the three internal bays.

The Growlers cut low towards Choybalsan, raking across the sands of the desert as the F-18Gs angled towards the city, radars blaring now-the Mongolians could see them, but good luck stopping them. Radiation blips from AAA and SAM sites began to record on the screens of the Phis.

"Phi Lead, Shotgun."

With the callsign, the lead of the Growlers notched his finger against his missile trigger, pulling off a HARM on his underbelly. The AGM-88 dropped for a fraction of a second, then its engine kicked in, the HARM shooting forth across the sands, towards an SA-2 radar site.

"Phi 2, Shotgun."

"Phi 3, Rifle."

HARMs and Mavericks cruised off the racks of the Growlers as they hugged low to the ground, engines burning a red-hot glow against the dark sands of the Gobi Desert. Another volley went off from the Growlers as they expended their ammunition racks of AGMs, cutting up and around low to prevent SAM lock-on as best as they could. Afterburners kicking in, the Growlers shot back, nosing towards the Honakon border.

"We're heading back to Solstice, Theta. Best of luck to your boys."

Theta lead, commanding the multi-role craft, simply nodded in his single cockpit of an F/A-18E Super Hornet, his craft bristling with Rockeye cluster bombs, Maverick missiles, LGBs, and JDAMs. He fitted his arming screen to a Maverick before turning to the comms.

"Let's get 'em, strikes."

The two squadrons of strike aircraft angled in as the Flares played chicken above, blasting off radiation "white noise" to try and jam AAA and SAM radars with an overload of radar-sensing ops-the stealth game was over now. The Super Hornets moved in, not bothering to check whether the HARMs had done any damage-that was pretty clear that there were fire-looking light sources eminating from the city, and lit smoke now clearing it. They had hit something, and HARMs were very accurate anti-rad missiles.

"Theta Lead, Rifle."

The Maverick sailed off the right-most underwing hardpoint of the Super Hornet as the other Hornets and Rafales began to get involved.

"Theta 5, Rifle."

"Xi 2, Rifle."

Mavericks sailed forth now, illuminated by the fires from inside the city as they moved in to deliver payloads of ammunition. The Rafales and Super Hornets moved now to begin bombing ops against the city's targets that had been selected as the Flares continued their moves above, dipping low and high and occasionally making a gun run with their 30mm autocannons.

Several 2000 lb Joint-Directed Attack Munitions, JDAM bombs, began falling from some of the aircraft as they sailed over the heights of the city, the bombs angling in towards certain targets and buildings. The others came in with Mk. 84 bombs and Rockeye cluster munitions. Paveway bombs and loaded munitions containing Napalm began falling down on the streets and buildings-with little the opposing forces could do about it. It was the reality of low-altitude bombings by fast, agile units-they usually were successful. Especially when proceeded by an ARM attack of the magnitude that had proceeded it.

"Out of munitions, Upsilon," Xi lead called in. The strikes were finishing up.

"Roger, we'll come in on a fly-by before pulling back to base," Upsilon lead called back. "Base" was the Solstice and Equinox.

The Flares cut in now, exceeding Mach 1 as they flew down towards Choybalsan and transonic speeds. A spatter of bullet fire shot forth from the Flares, cutting through the night sky and guided visually with yellow tracers from the craft. Bullets raked over the city, cutting through the sky like hornets.

"Back to base, roger out," called out Upsilon Lead. It had been an operation that couldn't have gone better-the Growlers had done their job well. Two of the Rafales had been damaged, but nothing major.

Border Cross

From the East, as the Rising Sun began to emerge behind the horizon, the sun fell over a large group of objects moving forward...a large group of objects. It was the Dominion's expeditionary force, a total force of 48,000. It wasn't the biggest or strongest force the Dominion could field-they could've tripled that and still had more than half the army at the home front without incident-but it was what the Dominion considered "purposeful."

A Scorpian battle tank, pride of the Dominion army's ground forces, cut through the light sandstorm that had built up with the June morning's beginning, a radiant sensation of reds and yellows illuminating the skies and ground with a painter's touch. Two other Scorpians followed the large, oblique battle tank-a tank platoon of three, XM312 7.62mm machine guns glinting in the light, paling in comparison to the mighty 140mm smoothbore gun that portruded from the vehicle's front. It was an inspiring sight to the troops, each one of these Scorpians-but not so likely to those facing them.

Several Merkava Mk IVs, the lighter battle tanks of the Dominion, scanted by after the Scorpians-they were more well-built for desert warfare, though the need of the heavy assault Scorpians was essential. Other equipment began to file past-an M1126 APC, full of troops carrying XM8 carbines, SCAR-H rifles, and Javelin launchers. An AH-8 Shrike Attack Copter-the Dominion's successor to their previous attack chopper, the widly-used Apache-hovered overhead, its Hellfire missile banks scanning the ground.

The move was on.

This was certainly most stressful for the Amir, he was now duty bound to fight an enemy far larger than his own nation and far far more powerful, but he didn't care for these things it was all in the hands of the Cheif of Staff, still Turquin worried about the possibility of a sudden attack by the Honako, he put those worries aside remembering his lessons on never having to worry.

"We still have the element of surprise, but not for long." Shara stated, it was rather difficult keeping the attention of the generals without them second guessing her tactics, she could tell they disliked a woman being ranked higher than them, "If anything the Honako will attempt to gain Air superiority over us as they will the Mongolians, our safest bet is to have a secure network of SAM sites and steady Air patrols.

Our MiG-33's will have to employ tactics to divide and conquer, trail as many of them off into small groups and then move in with a larger Air Force." Some of the generals had drifted off into their own little worlds and others were completely ignoring Shara, "PAY ATTENTION!" Shara shouted, the Generals all suddenly leapt up in their seats and stared at her, "Now, onto the ground attack, the Honako forces will likely push forwards with a large force, if we deploy Commando forces on the border we can paint targets as they come over and bombard them with thick layers of artillery fire, once they realise that our lands aren't worth the trouble they'll stop any invasion, remember, primary goals are to hold off the enemy for as long as possible!"

Message From Amir Turquin Rouseau to Nambaryn Enkhbayar

Good friend, the conquests of the Honako nation must be stopped, however we have our own nations defence to consider and cannot spare much in the way of forces, that said we will provide you with one Khasjim Rifle Regiment and 100,000 Rifles and military tutors to aid in conscription, we will also provide you with 1,000 SAM Launchers, I sincerely apologise but that is all Khasjim can spare, even for its greatest allies.

OOC: My guys are coming in from everywhere, but if your taking mostly the East and North, I'll concentrate on the southern areas and eastern areas, plus continue my blitz. I'll need you to RP loses for the two nights of intense bombing Kamp, and also the raids on towns and villages (there are very few major cities in Mongolia - so I'm assuming the only one that could prove difficult for a force in the 100,000's is the capital?.) You can RP resistance for areas I've taken (like some soliders lived, not like an army of 10,000 rose from the ground :p), and spread out your military so I encountered it if you want Kamp.

Desert Front...

The Desert Front was where the most sneaky and less manned operation was. Nearly 40,000 troops dug themselves in larges hole and pits in areas of desert warfare, watched desert trained and specially designed tanks such as the roll past, and set up cruise missile launch points as they continued their assault, now in the central areas.

Dalandzagdad

As three thousand of the Imperial Army carefully entered the city of seventeen thousand, they could witness the destruction their. Houses were set alight in flames, people ran in the street trying to escape, their screams lost in the hot air. What little infrastructure the town had was gone, turned into a pile of burning rubble with scattered bodies around it. The Captain of this operation for Dalandzagdad, a Jean Bios, had ordered all intact buildings to be searched, and all resisters to be arrested. Already thirty five "brave" men had tried to stop their conquest, and they lay outside in trucks waiting to be taken as Prisoners of War.

He passed a small building were a dozen of so Imperial Army men had piled five dead Mongol soldiers outside. It seemed to be a radio building, what remained of it. 'Many targets had been successful hit', he thought, pleased with himself despite the death. He ordered all to raise their guns, encase there were any military survivors.

The Gobi Desert

The Gobi Desert was lost to the Honakon Empire. It was rigged with mines, soldiers, and tanks protecting it - a formidable fortress. Any entering troops would be finished off in seconds. All towns and villages in the desert and any major towns or cities of the south saw similar scenes to Dalandzagdad - they were burning lights on the horizon - and any place that had not been entered by Honakon Forces would be about to be hit again.

The Western Front...

Here the one hundred thousand well prepared men swept through the Western Front with military precision, only stopped at towns and villages to check like they did in Dalandzagdad. The major areas they had uncovered so far were the cities and towns of Olgiy, Dund-Us and Ulaangom, which were still being checked. These cities had been hit hard by the bombing raids, and again much of the population had been misplaced, and the military in the areas removed off the face of the earth (however, resistance could happen, so the three towns were heavily checked). The troops, minus the 10,000 or so that would remain to guard the West areas, where heading for thge central places were the Mongol military was, though resistance was futile to their bombarding war machine, as they prepared for another night of the blitz...

The Eastern Front...

Due to the Amazonian Beasts forces in the area, only around 20,000 were sent into the desert East, and set up similarly to the people in the south, digging defensive trenches and preparing cruise missiles. They also took the the airport of Buyant-Uaah, which had been left runway intact - they would launch the attacks from here.

The Second Night of Blitz

This time, the border city targets were of lower priority, and they were concentrating on the more highly defended central areas. The three largest cities were to be bombarded. Darhan, the industrial hub of Mongolia witnessed the start of the attacks. They could hear the sound of bombers in the air, the B-1R Lancers and B-52 Stratofortress looming over the skies from the taken airports. They unleashed their bombs firstly over the industrialized areas, watching the flame filled factories crumble, but stopped after a few minutes – these areas meant lose of money when Mongolia was taken. They only targeted the arms factories etc., but sadly others could not help being engulfed by the flames. And so they headed for the infrastructure and centre of the second largest city, the bombed it for hours, creating a fiery furnace out of the city.

Erdenet and Ulaanbaatar, though with more focus on the military. They tried to hit outposts, fortresses and buildings which were of military importance, and destroy the defences of the area.

And meanwhile the smaller towns of the central areas were greeted with the familiar sounds of the screech of the Storm Shadow, AGM-86C’s, BGM-109 Tomahawk Land Attack Missile and MBDA Apache as they hit there military areas over and over again.

With the second night of the Blitz over the end was more destructive than the first and the major cities such as Ulaanbaatar looked tired and weak, devastated also and filled with people trying to halt the fire and destruction caused by another night of unforgiving bombings. After this, and the progression of the military, the King himself ordered the sending of this letter to the leader of the Mongol country.

To The Leader of Mongolia,
This is to you my Mongol neighbour, leader of the country, if you still live after the endless bombing on your fragile capital. We did not want this to happen, but your presence and your attacks on our nation have made this. For the sake of your people, surrender. Your life will be safe here. If you chose not to, I will continue the bombardment of your country, until it is a blank canvas for me to build up again if need be.

Choose wisely. I’ll offer your people refuge, or continue these devastating attacks.

- HRH King Nicolas R. Dubios,
Supreme Monarch and Ruler of The Honakon Empire
- Mrs. Catherine Kult,
Advisor for Foreign Affairs of The Honakon Empire

Statement to the International Community

Mongolia will pay for it's crimes against humanity - harbouring terrorists. Any nation that helps Mongolia will be regarded by Honakon as an ally to terror, and an enemy of the Imperial Empire.

- Mikel Kennis, Deputy Head of Deputy For Foreign Affiars In Honakon

OOC2: Khasjim, seriously, I have no plans to invade your nation - but, if you help Mongolia, I will bomb your nation much like I am doing in Mongolia, and declare you an enemy of my nation. If you want to risk it, fine.

The day had proceeded with the Dominion ground forces making up ground towards Choybalsan. The day had gone by fast, but so had the ground-Choybalsan was within shelling distance. Now was time for the real fun-Basalt flight, twelve Tu-160 strategic bombers. One of the longest aircraft in the world, the Blackjacks had been inordinately expensive-but they, paired with the B-2 Spirits and B-1B Lancers of Strategic Bombing command, were more than worth the price. Without them, such procedures as this would have had to be undertaken by outdated craft like the F-111 Ardvaark-certainly not the capability of the Blackjack.

"This is Basalt lead, I have the target in sight," the leading bomber unit reported.

"We're moving down, hold on ground."

The Blackjacks, high in the sky, dove low now-barreling towards the ground. Any remaining AAA from last night's barrage would once again lose their edge-the Blackjacks were sending up way too much static noise. It alerted of their presence, but doubtful there was any AA even left in the city after last night's strike run.

"Making our run ground, wish us luck."

Basalt flight cruised over the heads of the EF, the long bombers gracefully cutting through the air, their stark-black coats of paint shielding them from sight even more-the night sky, black as space, shrouded the visable approach of the bombers. The Blackjacks soared in, their engine units, cutting just under supersonic levels, blasting the huge bombers towards the city's perimeter.

"Bombs ready, starting preliminary run."

The first six bombers soared in, bombing racks open. As they glided over the city, the bomber group's escort-four Super Hornets from the carriers-blasted over Choybalsan at over Mach 1.6, blaring rad white noise all over the place to confuse the targeting and to attract attention. Their afterburners blew purple under the night, twin dots from each multi-role craft stark against the sky. There wasn't anything firing-even better.

"Commencing attack."

The Blackjacks had lined up over the city, the first six emptying their bombing chambers. 2000 lb JDAMs, 1000 lb Mk. 83 bombs, 5000 lb GBU-28s, and 2000 lb Mk. 84 bombs emptied out of the bombers directly over the city and its surrounding, falling and accelerating with gravity the only force. The next six blasted over before the bombs even reached the ground, emtpying a similar payload-and one of the Blackjacks deploying something special right over the city center-a GBU-43 Massive Air Ordinance Bomb-the MOAB. Choybalsan's city center-and most of its internal workings-were toast before the EF itself even got there.

As the EF continued moving in-still several kilometers out-the Blackjacks banked around low as the first explosions began going off. Fire plumed out of the city-and then the MOAB itself hit. A gigantic rush of fire blasted upwards from the city center of Choybalsan, fire and shrapnel erupting as the blast wave shot outwards to 700 feet-the blast radius of the MOAB, terrifying. The explosion blossomed into the sky-if the Mongolians weren't terrified by the "nuclear weapon imitation", then they couldn't be rattled.

As the Blackjacks banked away, the Super Hornets followed-and as the EF continued rushing onwards towards the city as the massive cloud drifted upwards, the fire that torched the city billowing and making night into day. The EF took its fire now-a small picket remaining behind with the artillery as it set up, a few Merkava Mk IV tanks and a couple of the stronger Scorpians remaining for defense.

As the rest of the EF held up a kilometer ahead, the Crusaders-the dominant artillery of the Dominion-began their work. The XM2001s began elevating their massive turrets, programming trajectories. With a roar, a single Crusader blasted off a massive shell-then the rest chimed in. Shells began soaring through the skies towards Choybalsan as AH-8 Shrikes began clipping through the night skies, infrared radar on to detect anyone trying to flee the city.

M110 SPHs began their own work, moving into position and loosing 8 inch shells towards the city.

"I see one," one pilot of an AH-8 reported to his co-pilot, "a couple civvies on the edge,"

"Orders are orders," his co-pilot responded, no emotion in his voice, "take 'em."

The Shrike zeroed in on the civvies and loosed a Hellfire from its side racks. The missiles zipped off on a trail of near-invisable smoke. A second later, an explosion confirmed a hit.

"One left, I'm going in," the pilot said to the co-pilot.

The Shrike screamed in on its rotors, coming in on the civilian of the group still standing-and now running. The Shrike needed only to line up the shot-and the frontal 30mm chain gun ripped open fire, bullets screaming into the ground. More than several found their mark-the civilian dropped like a hunted animal.

Across the city outskirts, as the city itself was under heavy fire from the artillery, Shrikes moved across the dark skies, chain guns and rocket pods ripping up the sands at any they saw trying to flee.

Tagged for future post. Can I ask that the RP does not progress too much until this post is made (however, AB can attack further, and Kamp and Marx/Khasjim can exchange diplomatic messages - just no "I've moved 6 million troops in etc." yet.)

IC:

Over The Skies Of Mongolia's Major Towns, Cities and Airports

A few planes swept over the skies of the Mongolian towns within 1000km of the Honakon borders. They dropped thousands of leaflets to the ground of cities, towns and airports. It was believed well into the hundreds of thousands would be affected by what was to happen, and Honakon would give civilians one hour to leave their homes. Then, a hell would be unleashed upon them from the sky.

The leaflets did more harm than good. At first, citizens refused to believe them. When more were dropped, however, they became very scared. Pandemonium broke loose. Traffic was at a standstill and pedestrians were running as fast as their own two feet would carry them. In all, very few people were able to escape, and many were in a worse predicament now that they were outside and in the open.

The missiles did more damage than planned. Thousands of unprotected citizens were massacred as the missiles and bombs struck strategic targets around them. Buildings would explode into a shower of rocks, which would in turn rip through any civilians in range. The strike did have its intended effect, though. Nearly all military installations were demolished completely. Those that weren't had been crippled enough to be of no issue. The 5 planes of the Mongolian military were no more.

After the first bombing run, all the advance radar outposts were out. Ulaanbaatar had no warning of the attack. Some SAM's were brought in at the last minute, but Mongolia had relyied on diplomacy for so long that the weapons were severly outdated. Upon firing, the first SAM exploded, taking two more with it. The Mongols abandoned the lost cause. The planes above rained death upon the Mogolian capital. Infastructure was demolished, industry was destroyed, and the military was crushed. But if Honako truely wanted Mongolia, they were only harming their goal. They were destroying everything good that it had, but even more importantly, were creating hatred in the hearts of the Mongols.

President Enkhbayar was woken up that morning by one of his aides. Amazingly, the house/office of the president had survived the previous nights events. The man had a very grim look upon his face. He filled the president in on the nights activity. "... And no word has been heard from the nations from whom we requested aid." The president rolled over. What was he supposed to do now? He got out of bed and walked towards his office.

The next night:

The mongolian radar operater at a remote location saw a shooting blip on his screen. "Holy shit! How fast is that thing moving!"

With the callsign, the lead of the Growlers notched his finger against his missile trigger, pulling off a HARM on his underbelly. The AGM-88 dropped for a fraction of a second, then its engine kicked in, the HARM shooting forth across the sands, towards an SA-2 radar site.

All of a sudden the screen went blank. He began flipping switches frantically. He turned to his superior. "Uh, sir, either we got a fucking Red October plane or someone just blew our radar site!" The commander ran over to help, but it was to late. Unbeknownst to the Amazonians, the Mongols housed their Radar and Radio facilities in the same building. Their communications had been knocked out as well. The men in Choybalsan would have no warning.

The attacks had their desired effects upont the city. In fact, it was almost overkill. Instead of a city, there now lay a heap of rubble. Some buildings had withstood the attack, but not many. Many of the people not killed by the missiles had been mowed down by the bullets from the Flare, literally ripped apart by the high caliber bullets. There would be no resistance when the ground troops came. Hopefully they had enough medics.

Once again, the president awoke to the horrible news. "Damn it! Still no word from those who might aid us? He walked into his office. Up blipped an email from Khasjim. "Finally," he said to himself. It was too late. Their offer could not aid them anymore. "Fucking bitch!" The president became well aware that he might not be president much longer.

I knew my RPing was pretty bad - as for bad form, my nation is quite ruthless. And I did say that planes had been lost as you tried to shoot them down, though I'll admit, not enough - sorry, I'll up that maybe to 20 or so (is that right). When did I RP your loses minus the five Mongolian men, who were really there just for effect? Sorry again if I did, but me destroying infra etc. was not really set, so you could of said I destroyed little. Also, by infra I don't mean civilan tower blocks etc. more like roads, skyscrapers etc.

After this, and the progression of the military, the King himself ordered the sending of this letter to the leader of the Mongol country.

The blitz once again had a deadly toll. Once again, more civilians than soldiers died from the attacks. Buildings not demolished from the runs were engulfed in flames. Those who had sought shelter from the suns rays inside began to meet their screaming doom. Other than Ulaanbaatar, the cities were essentially scrap heaps. Ulaanbaatar, however, had numerous buldings that had remained upright and unscathed, one being the Presidential Manor.

Those buildings left standing after the previous nights run were now utterly demolished. The civilians who had been laying in the street as medics tryied to help them were demolished. This was a war crime of massive proportions.

As the rest of the EF held up a kilometer ahead, the Crusaders-the dominant artillery of the Dominion-began their work. The XM2001s began elevating their massive turrets, programming trajectories. With a roar, a single Crusader blasted off a massive shell-then the rest chimed in. M110 SPHs began their own work, moving into position and loosing 8 inch shells towards the city.

If anything was still alive in the city, it wouldn't last for long. Makeshift shelters and hospitals were blown apart, those inside dying on impact.

The Shrike zeroed in on the civvies and loosed a Hellfire from its side racks. The missiles zipped off on a trail of near-invisable smoke. A second later, an explosion confirmed a hit.

"One left, I'm going in," the pilot said to the co-pilot.

The Shrike needed only to line up the shot-and the frontal 30mm chain gun ripped open fire, bullets screaming into the ground. More than several found their mark-the civilian dropped like a hunted animal.

Such was the story. The civilians stood no chance. The death toll was becoming ridiculous. After three nights of bombing, over 250,000 military personell had died. On top of that, nearly 400,000 civilians had died. Add to those the number injured, and you have a total casualty count of upwards of 800,000 (OOC: numbers may be slightly inflated, they always are). The president was confronted with these figures along with the news. But this time there was a letter from Honako. His heart was downtrodden to see so many of his countrymen die. Thus, he wrote off a letter to the two attacking nations, his tears staining the parchment.

Dear Amazonia and Honakan Leaders,
The death of so many of my people has made me wish for peace. I wish for these attacks to continue no longer. Thus it is my wish to surrender. I wish to host an official session at the Presidential Manor here in Ulaanbaatar. Please send only the leaders of your nation- your guards are of no need, we have no army here. But they will be permitted nothenless, they just will not be abe to enter all places of the manor. It is, after all, my house.

Signed,
Former President Enkhbayar

OOC: Choybalsan has 47,000, and I pretty much demolished the place (hoo yeah!), so that's my count. How you got 750,000+ Honako-you lucky. I couldn't even do that to Hataria when I blew tactical nukes.

I got your TG, Kamp, and I'll be following your advice (well, for the most part. Granted, I won't use OOC knowledge ICly-that'd be godmodding).

IC:

The EF was ecstatic-on a total high. Choybalsan was flattened! This was better than most results in history! The ecstasy of killing so many was flowing through the veins of each soldier-the rush of destruction! For not even a single loss-a few nicks on some of the aircraft from what had been Choybalsan defense-the massive, inordinate use of weaponry had done exactly as the Emperor had wanted-it had proved the sheer destructiveness of the Dominion war machine, and that was exactly as he wanted it. Now there was nobody to stand in his way of his goal.

It was then as the Mongolian communication came in that the Emperor took his turn. The letter was carefully crafted-no guards, only in a certain part of the house. Well, play that way-the Dominion would follow etiquette. Something was up, but Droma couldn't place it-but why not let the sacrificial lambs in Amazonia who were crying to "end this madness" go and try to end it themselves? That way, if something happened, they could suffer the consequences-those mad politicians. So much better when everything was consolidated in a central location-or better, a central person.

Within six hours, a Gulfstream jet was off towards Ulaanbaatar, three of the Chancellor's hand-selected diplomats in tow. Droma had plans.

OOC: I'll claim maybe a max. of 70,000 civilian dead. Military wise, as much as you want :p

HRH King Nicolas R. Dubois left the Meeting of Leaders to look at the letter that had been sent to him. Utah Yule, Governor for Bontagne and Head of Bontagne Military (RL Central China) stood next to him in his large office in Duska. He had been the head honcho in the successful Operation, which had been designed by the King in order to take back his rightful Mongol lands and form the Northern district again. Along with his other areas, this would be named in English "The Northern Lands", but it's official names, as with all names in Mainland Honakon, would be French - so changed into the much more appealing "Les Terres Septentrionales".

King Nicolas did not trust the Mongols one bit, in there history they had a past of bad peace talks. The 1890 talks after the five year Honakon vs. Mongolia and Russika war had ended up with fifteen diplomats dead after they decided they should have a dual for peace - he knew times had become more civilised, but he would never enter the lands of a foreign nation, especially one he did not trust. The King was also still unsure about the Amazonian plans - perhaps he had let his deep dislike for the one named "Sadow" plague his view of them - but he was not totally sure they were to be trusted. All the diplomats he sent had been informed - they would not leave without a complete handover of Mongolia to 100% Honakon control.

And so Utah Yule, Head of the Operation, the King’s closest political friend Catherine Kult, Advisor for Foreign Affairs and Nika Roben, Advisor for Redevelopment and Building – and the man who was already planning the King’s dreams of a new set of Mongolian metropolis’s - were sent to the Conference to play their individual roles. With them, came six close political aides.

They would bring no guards, though all six of there accompany "political aides" were trained in almost every deadly combat training known to man, and specialised in killing quietly and without the use of weapons. Though they were not alone. The calls for Surrender had been told to the soldiers, and they were happy at the fact they had crushed the enemy so easily - though they knew this was just the military, and harder times were ahead. The order was given for them to continue there advance around the central areas, and to arrest and deport anyone who showed signs of being loyal to a Mongolian Liberation.

The Fourth Day of the Assault (Peace Time In Ulaanbaatar)

The Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone began its slow landed near the Presidential Offices in Ulaanbaatar, the destruction visible around them to the passengers inside. Some buildings around them stood only as rubble, and the sound of sirens never ceased. The Home of the President itself seemed to have suffered some damage, but remarkable minimal compared to some areas.

The nine diplomats stepped out of the helicopter, and smiled coldly at whoever greeted them. This was to be quick, these fools would get no bargain from them.

OOC: In the interests of moving this on - Kamp should be on soon.

Utah Yule led the coalition of diplomats that hounded in on the building. They entered themselves into the Presidents Home, and walked over to what seemed to be the nearest man. He did not care whether it was the President or his cook, but he spoke loudly so that all could here.

"We are not here for a conference; we are not here to stay. We simply demand that you surrender unconditionally. The King has already drawn up plans on how we can increase drastically your economy, and how we can rebuild this now shambles of a nation. There is no compromise; you will be treated as every region of Honakon is treated - with respect and power. You will get your own Governor of our King's choice. You have seen how your people have suffered, end this now.

"We will allow your populous to remain for the most part - they can leave if they wish and we deem them un-needed. Other than that, they can be arrested and deported if they are displaying signs of being sympathisers to an anti-Monarch and anti-Honakon way of life. You will be allowed to live and remain in this country, in this very palace if you wish, though you will only hold ceremonial power. We are also willing to allow our allies who assisted us to construct a military base in the country, of a smallish size. Those, for now, are our terms."

The president was in the other room, but heard the man. He leaned over to his aide, and whispered, "Are the charges ready?"

"As ready as they'll ever be" came the response.

"Good. I will occupy these fools until the men from Amazonia arrive, and then it will be over." With that the president walked over the staircase, and descended. He walked into the entry hall. "So rash, my brother. Can I not get you anything until the diplomats from Amazonia arrive?"

OOC: My last day here until July 3rd, so I'll try to be concise.

IC:

The Gulfstream jet extended landing gear, and minutes later, set down at Ulaanbaatar. From the vessel, three diplomats-dressed in formal wear for the Federal government-walked forth, unprepared but ready for what awaited them. They wondered to themselves why no guards had accompanied them-and why the Chancellor had seemed so anxious when sending them on their way. Something didn't feel right-but it was their job to simply carry out this diplomatic process. The lack of Imperial hands in the matter was even more concerning.

A short drive to the Presidential house was arranged, and the three Amazonians walked in quietly, formally, simply looking to get in and get out.

"Speaking of the devil..." The president muttered to himself as the Amazonian diplomats arrived. "Now, lets all come in here where I have the tables pre-arranged." He ushered everyone into a sitting rom, and waved at his aide to leave. The aide walked quietly from the room, and turned the corner. As soon as he did, pounding footsteps could be heard as he rushed out the door. Seconds later, a massive explosion tore throught the house. The aide was thrown 50 feet from where he was originally running. The second story collapsed upon what remained of the first, and a fire was rapidly spreading.

The three Federal diplomats didn't even have time to blink. The explosion tore apart the one to the right instantly, his body blasted. A second had shrapnel lodged right through his chest-fire overwhelming his heaving body as his hair singed off. The third was flung into the rear wall, a chunk of rubble from the second story landing directly atop his torso. The man blinked woozily as the fire spread fast, screams and groans coming from the scene. He knew he was dying-or at least, close to it-his head swimming with memories. His life was slowly fading in this desert of a foreign country-dying alone, and far from his home. He would at least be spared from the horrors that would plague such in the future...

Utah Yule simply had time to say "Don't call me brother..." before the explosion hit. The flames ripped into the Honakon delegation, blasting them in all directions. Three died instantly, some would say "luckily" these were just the security of the delegation. But soon Utah Yule, arguably in the top ten in terms of power in the Imperial Empire, was crushed and buried by massive amounts of debris, causing his death.

The reminder lay limp on the floor - all were injured, probably dying. Whoever had set off that explosion, whoever was behind this - the Mongol government and liberation fronts would be blaimed, and the reaction would be swift and brutal.

Around the nation of Mongolia, a frenzy was spreading. The president had just killed several very influential men of the invaders, and had sacrificed his own life in the process. Around the nation, men and boys were arming themselves with antiquated AK-47's and other assorted guns. There was also the occasional RPG. In cities not yet taken by the armies of Honakon and Amazonia, roadblocks were being hastily thrown together. The individual civvie soldier was not to worry about, however, the masses of them hidden through a city were. This was all to real in Ulaanbaatar, where the resistance had taken a firm hold. In the towns already occupied by Honakon, acts of terrorism followed. Car bombs exploded, roadways leading out of the town were mined. In Dalandzadgad, an ambitious group of men wished to repel Honakon from their city. They had silently armed most of the men behind closed doors. A honakon tank was rolling past on its normal survellience route with a humvee in front and back, and several soldiers walking along the side. Suddenly, 5 men with RPG's stood up along the rooftop, took aim, and fired. Wndows in the houses burst open and 6 more men armed with AK-47's began mowing down anything that waas moving in their predefined "death-field."

Imperial Office, East Wing, Jabero - 22:34pm

A short stern faced woman walked down the long corridors of the Imperial Office. The sprawling building was primarily made of corridors, each which always seemed empty passed 8 pm. and was layered with paintings on the wall displaying images of great people in Honakon, all of which seemed to peer and follow the people who walked these old rooms.

In her hand was a document. She was merely a messenger, a low down member of government, though probably still in quite a senior person in the building - and the message she carried would change Mongolia forever.

The King's Speech, Imperial Capital of Duska - 23:59pm

"At twenty minutes to eleven pm today, I received a document. This document detailed the plans for Operation: Conquer and Rebuild, a suitable named title of the Mongolian war. Twelve hours ago a bomb went off in the meeting of three of my important staff in Mongolia - all are presumed dead. These were some of my closest friends in government, and they will be avenged.

"And so, I bring you to Phase III of the operation - one which was only to commence if such an emergency began in Mongolia. We have assumed that the government has surrender, but a few of there people feel they wish to fight." The room suddenly went quiet - the King had his usual calm face and unbreakable smirk on his face, but then an outburst never witnessed in public before by him occurred "They will not fight!" He shouted over the gathered journalists and diplomats.

"The Imperial Empire of Honakon hereby declares a state of Martial Law in the Mongolian province. We offered them mercy, we offered them peace – and they continued to commit these acts of terror on us. We are compiling a list, a list of threats to Honakon and Mongolia’s future. All people on that list will be deported to our massive camps we have built on the borders, where they can remain until another nation gives them amnesty. These people have betrayed there own, or will, by wishing to continue this bloodshed. None will be killed or mistreated, we have allowed them to leave.

“And as for the pitiful under armed resisters – it is clear – surrender, or die. If you do not surrender within 48 hours we will begin the destruction of your cities – we have no need for them, this country will be rebuilt on our terms. We will do whatever it takes to rid you, the plague of Mongolia – whether it be from bombing raids, weapons of mass destruction, or sending you to detention centres. For the freedom of your country, and to help us bring some peace – give over – immediately.”

Operation: Dispersing the Mongol Hordes

And it began that very night. The planes geared up to bomb, and the civilians were rounded up. Houses in the Honakon-taken cities, towns and villages were raided and the people ordered to leave at gunpoint. The Imperial Empire gathered them in small groups so they did not revolt, and read out the list of endless names. They had entered the old police stations and hospitals and taken the data - any man or woman with a criminal record which involved some display of patriotism and skill of the use of gun's were arrested and deported to the massive border camps and surronding countries - some were sent to detention centres, to sit and wait until the Honakon's could find somewhere to put them.

People who were skilled workers or haters of the government were recruited - the operation went long into the night, and the people were in shock. In there nightclothes and with no suitcase they were rounded, and thousands of them ordered to leave the country. People they suspected of being part of the terror group the Mongol Hordes or in the underground resistance army were sent to Honakon for interviewing - there was some 2,000 of them. A further 5,000 suspected of this were sent to the detention centres. Almost 3/4 of the country was in the Honakon grip, and over one million Mongol citizens. By that night there was a wanted list 182,763 strong - all those were to be deported or arrested. Unluckily, nearly 80,000 of them resided in other areas which were less in there control - the capital for one - and for all Honakon knew, they could be tens of thousands more they needed to arrest there.

But for now the destruction was clear – 18,340 had been ordered to leave there homes for other countries and camps in one single day – a further 9,023 had been sent to detention centres, which were quickly being constructed.

OOC: Remember - you can't arm all these people Kamp. You can arm into the tens, though you can't arm say one thousand surely as how would you get the weapons - there is no way of smuggling that amount - and considering there barely is a formal government anymore and arms factories have been bombed to near total destruction, I find it hard to see who gave them too you. You didn’t really RP exactly what you were attacking next, but you said you were attacking anything in your way – so I’ll assume this was in your way. Also, the three thousand troops are not godmodded out of nowhere, they have been here since the invasion if you read previous IC posts.

Dalandzadgad

The small town had its problems. It was a stronghold for Honakon, with nearly three thousand troops inside, but was the first place where resistance was seen in an area of Honakon control. Whilst nearly five hundred people of the town prepared to be deported, a group of soldiers were hit in the tank, killing three and wounding the rest.

And now the terrorists moved further into the square – fifty soldiers stood in a small opening around cluttered, most in rubble, buildings. They had just rounded up a group of six hundred and ordered seventy packing, and they were pleased with there job. Suddenly though gunfire in loud and quick fire was heard, they drew their weapons alert but two were hit by whatever was there, one slumping to the fall dead from a fatal headshot, the other clutching his knee. Orders were quickly sent – they were to fall back and hide behind the various trucks, buildings and obstacles in the square, and inform the Commander that a small resistance was beginning.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, in other areas the operation continued. The aim was to rid sixty thousand of the most threatening people of the Honakon controlled country in a week – a task that was becoming overwhelming for the troops. The detention centres already had over ten thousand in them before they had even been fully built, and so far over two hundred escapers had been reported – sixteen were shot non-fatally, one fatally, but around one hundred had overwhelmed a group of twenty guards and run.

The next job was to bombard Ulaanbarteer – but firstly a message was sent to them.

The rebels took cover in the buildings, and it gave them great vantage points on the soldiers. One minute on a rooftop, the next in a courtyard.

To: The Rebel Leaders,

Fine. You have chosen your fate, but still have 24 hours to do the right thing. If you do not surrender I recommend you evacuate anyone you wish to live - woman, children, people of importance - because we will show no mercy until you give in, even if everything in that useless city is destroyed. You are no longer part of Honakon's plans, unless you accept the peace offer we propose below.

On the other hand, if you all surrender and leave the country the amount of $1 billon will be transferred to accounts in Carloginias, Marxikhan, Khasjim and Incursus where you can disperse and live. Choose wisely.

Khasim Dentention Centre, Honakon Mongolian Desert, 13:11pm

Currently five sprawling detention centres were being built around the Honakon Mongolia landscape, which would hold up to an estimated. 100,000 people if all the operations went as successful as they were currently. Along with that, nearly triple that number would be deported, and with the 100,000 here being deported after questioning, which could take years, it was guessed by Commanders at the detention centres that by 2020 there would be around 400,000 people left of the indigenous Mongolian population that reached some 2 million currently.

Khasim was the first detention centre to be complete enough to have barracks for the workers and prisoners to stay in. This was a holding camp, a massive one, which could hold up to 15,000 people. Currently, the centre was quiet - only 3400 had been sent, however they were expecting a delivery of some 1020 tomorrow from the Western side of Mongolia; so far the operation had seen 20,000 sent to these centres, and 60,000 ordered to deport - though around 75% of them were still in the massive refugee camps on the border, the rest had been let through - though some doubted whether that was true.

Two soldiers stopped and talked to each other as they patrolled the Khasim facility - they were heavily armed - if anyone tried to escape the centre they were to be shot in the legs with either bullets or some kind of sedates. They watched as men ate outside, and waited around, for something to happen.

“I’ve heard they won’t surrender in the last stronghold, the capital. They are fools” Said one nonchalant solider to another.

“Ya. Have you seen the reports of what’s happening in Dalandzadgad…?”

Dalandzadgad

“Pull back, quicker, they are coming!”

A further fifteen minutes of endless firing into what seemed nothingness had just ended up with the result of two more dead. The terrorists were stranded in the courtyard – they had them covered for what was to happen. Two hundred men had blocked the main entrance out, and a further one hundred had been dispersed around the few streets in between the houses. What was about to happen was risky, and could kill some of them if done poorly, but hand to hand combat was not what they needed.

Six Dassault Rafael’s stormed over Dalandzadgad, screeching as they pasted. All around the area there were plane bases – this was the reason airports were not fully destroyed. The square was targeted, and a mass of missiles launched at the area in a formidable airstrike. The cars were overturned and blew up in eruptions of flames and the ground rocked, and the feeble buildings finally flattened as another area of Dalandzadgad witnessed bombings again.

About 46 rebels were in the area of the air strike. There had already been 6 casualties, including 3 deaths. The airstrike was more hard-hitting. 30 rebels were thrown aside by the strike. 18 were dead before they hit the ground. 8 more were in critical condition, and would not live out the hour. The final four were injured, but were still in fighting shape. The Honakon troops kept pouring in. As night rolled in, the rebels slowly withdrew back into the depths of the city.

To: The Rebel Leaders,

Do you really think we are that stupid? One billion is one fifth of your previous countries GDP, it would last you. At most you have I'd guess 500,000 people living there - and don't even try to entertain me with the notion they are all armed and ready. We destroyed every arms factory on the earth of your country; at most a few thousand could be equipped with some poor ex-Soviet weaponry. (OOC: That is true - you can't really arm a whole city).

But, we want peace, and we will offer you it in our last generous proposal. We propose that you become the Principality of Ulaanbaatar - an independent city state, similar to the Vatican - but not holy. You will be granted the city of Ulaanbaatar - as soon as you leave the city, you will be in Honakon lands - which you will be allowed to access however, for the small price of $50 million a year.

We will grant you a $1 billion LOAN, to be repaid with 5% interest added on every year you fail to do so. This money should be enough to rebuild your city and create a somewhat stable economy. With this loan come these conditions -

- The Principality of Ulaanbaatar will only be allowed a military equal 1000 troops or less. Therefore, all weapons currently in your country are to be surrendered, and one thousand allowed. No troops can be placed on the border of the city. No military aircraft, SAM's or ballistic missiles will be allowed. Nothing that has a long range will be allowed, encase you strike us. A max of ten tanks is allowed.
- The Principality of Ulaanbaatar will be allowed ONE commercial airport, which they must fund.
- The Principality of Ulaanbaatar will only be allowed a max. of 600,000 people to live in there state. If it goes above this, people are to be deported.
- The Principality of Ulaanbaatar will not be allowed to research into nuclear weapons and chemical weapons and all WMD's.
- The Principality of Ulaanbaatar will have a Honakon Committee that will review all major decisions and report back to our country. If we find anything, fishy, you will be warned, and depending on how severe, action may be taken.

If you accept this, you will have exactly the city Ulaanbaatar as your city state - as soon as you leave an area that is not seen as your land - you have 4,704.4 km² of the country. It is this, or war. Again, choose.

The leader of the resistance went before his peope to tell them the news. There was dismay among some of their faces. "Let me tell you, this is not what I wanted either. But had we refused, they would have razed this city to the ground. From here, in our safe harbor, we will be free to wait. SAM’s will not be needed. No one will bomb you again – no outside nation would dare to touch a city-state surrounded by Honakon lands, and we would only attack you if you broke our agreement in some way - and I'm sure you would not do such a thing.

Imperial Central Market Square, Duska, Honakon - 19:18pm

The French war chants of the five thousand troops that paraded through Central Duska were deafening in sound, and a massive contrast to the one hundred thousand citizens that had gathered in silence. The Imperial Palace was currently off limits, though the King’s Hall, a place were the meeting of advisors would take place, with its world famous balcony formed of solid gold sat in the Central Market Square – draped in Honakon flags and with the bright lights of the square illuminating the King as he sat on the balcony, a smile clearly planted on his face. The bustling square stood silent as the troops made there final march around the massive sprawling arena and grinded to a halt in there designated areas, before the ceremonial cannon salute and twelve plane flyover.

King’s speeches were rare, like this anyway. Perhaps three times a year, when good news came, would he conduct a ceremony – however, every week he broadcasted speeches to the public from the Imperial Palace Office of the King. The speeches usually lasted a few minutes, days of preparation and hours of service for merely a short speech. Beforehand of all the King’s talks to the nation – it was estimated that over one billion people would see this within the next couple of days – the ritual King’s Prayer was spoken by the High Rabbi of the Jewish Faith in Honakon. It was unknown why it was spoken by a Jew, but the two minute prayer, which praised the King in as many words as they could cram in when it was created in 1881 had to be spoken. Finally, all was done, and the King stood up to speak.

“One month ago the surrender of the Mongolians was handed to us. This week, after much discussion, we have allied ourselves we some of the most powerful nations in the world, and shall co-operate. This, my friends, is a great time for the people of Honakon. Our lands our expanding, our wars being won, and our economy improving – and our military might finally being recognized. From this day Mongolia, minus it’s horrific capital, shall be known as the Northern Province of the Imperial Empire.”

“Within the next six months, we hope to have completely finished Operation: Dispersing the Mongol Hordes and will have removed all anti-Honakon Mongol’s from the country. Also within the next six months, we will encourage the poorer population to move to these quickly developing areas – within the next ten years we hope Mongolia can be exploited and industrialized, and have a population of some 40 million, and an economy of some $500 billion. It will be a hard task, but already the building is beginning. We shall rebuild there industry, but better and bigger. We shall destroy there terrible towns and create European masterpieces there instead – Mongolia shall become a power in Honakon, long live Honakon and our prosperous future – for within the next ten years we shall turn the poor lands of Mongolia into the rich lands of Honakon!”

The crowd cheered, though some doubted what could be done.

Honakon Mongolia...

All around Mongolia, construction began, and the Mongol Horde Operation continued. Cities developed - the capital to be a modern city named Monaska, which would hold five million - towns rebuilt, and industry, focusing on mining and cheap goods began – they hoped Mongolia would become, like Honakon had, the source of cheap goods, whereas the Honakon market would focus more on the high quality side.
