Singularity Processing Node 0001
Zentalquabula system
Near the Galactic Centre
Perfect white noise. A veritable symphony of machines humming, computers processing, weapons being manufactured. And not a single human to interfere in the process. The original inhabitants of the planet were wiped out, put into concentration camps, executed in a highly efficient way. Such was the nature of the Oick Singularity.
It would be, however, inaccurate to say that there were no humans at all. The Oicks' robotic perfection hardly made good diplomacy, so there was a small cadre of enhanced, brainwashed humans reserved for that purpose.
Report: Military forces optimized.
Recommend: Initiate Protocol 1902.
The various robots that made up the lower command levels of the Singularity all filed the same report - that military production had reached a peak.
These reports were continually sent back and forth, back and forth, going through various command levels, climbing towards the apex of the Singularity - OIC/SOV. It was the only one who lacked a number designation, for it was the beginning and the end for the Oicks. It was a coordinator instead of a ruler; it brought order to chaos. It was the only one that could hold a conception of "I", the only one who could transcend mere logic and enter into the murky realm of human thought.
But even it was tethered to its original programming. The Oicks were originally Londinian combat droids, made for the extermination of massive armies. They were built to be cold and heartless. They had a penchant for cruelty.
OIC/SOV 'debated' the recommendations from the horde. Zentalquabula was quickly running out of materials. In less than two years, the planet would have been mined out of existence.
Command: Launch battle fleet. Implement Raiding Protocol.
Thousands of starships began to leave the planet surface in perfect harmony, with perfect precision. The galaxy would be retooled to service their needs.
