NS World War Z RP (OOC/Sign-up thread)

At the risk of being cliché, I've decided to start an RP based around the book World War Z (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_Z), in which zombies begin to rule the earth as military forces prove woefully inadequate to combat them. I'll need some people to RP the massive zombie hordes, as well as people to RP the nations that house the initial outbreaks which will spread to the rest.
Any takers?

ill be a wealthy nation.

Well, it's all dependent on what your nation is in NS.
I'll take the vast hordes of flesh eating zombies.

I be a nation away from the troubles for now :)
We've take everything serious even the common cold!
I wish to be a massive horde of flying, and flesh devouring zombies, with massive long arms.

Toori: Uh, no. That doesn't even make sense. Why would a zombie fly, or even have arms longer than that of a human?

I also desire to be a vast horde of flesh-eating zombies.

Well, on second thought, ignore the flying part. That would be kinda funny though. The massive arms: zombies sometimes have mutations. Either that, or I could have a horde of Brazilian pigmy zombies?
what kind of zombies are these? the dawn of the dead remake, or resident evil slow ass zombies?

That be really gay -_-
More like Shawn of the Dead/The Mummy Returns. Remeber the pigmies? Fiesty buggers.

I remeber, they sucked.

I'll RP my nation. I'll allow flesh eating zombies to fight the might of the Prussian Wehrmacht.

How many more people do we need?

More like the Dawn of the Dead remake zombies. If you've ever read The Zombie Survival Guide, the zombies would be based on that the most.

Good, I like those zombies. My favorites, if you can call them "zombies", are the 28 Days/Weeks Later ones, but they aren't really zombies though....
Anyway, Dawn of the Dead sounds pretty awsome.
Now wait a minute. There's a big difference between the Dawn of the Dead remake zombies and the Zombie Survival Guide ones.
Speed. Those in Dawn of the Dead can move.
If you do the classic slow zombies, Avisron will definately be involved. I love both of Brooks' books.
I've deliberately RP'd Avisron as being sort of fortified against zombies (because of past outbreaks,) so Avisron could be one of the nations that leads the retaking-of-earth.
Oh, and I can provide a basis for the outbreak.

How exactly would the zombie hordes play out? If I see the details and like it, I'll be a horde.

Awesome. I was thinking that I could have an outbreak as well, and my fleeing refugees could help spread the Solanum.

You mean how they'd behave?

See, the LFA has encountered alot of zombie issues, so the society is pretty... prepared, to deal with it. The shorelines are isolated and there are policies in place for quarentining passengers at airports. How I'd like this thing to start, though, was the Avisronite government wanted to study how an outbreak would spread, and basically released the virus into the wild in some poor countries, and some people go infected and went back to rich countries (IE, British Londinium) and it went from there.

Ah. Works for me.
:)
The LFA is fairly opportunist, as well. So it'll probably be sending guys all over the world to loot banks and stuff. That's what I'm doing in another, similar RP. Can we have slow zombies?

Sure; that's what WWZ zombies are like anyways.
Yeah, but you said they'd be like the Dawn of the Dead remake zombies, too, and that worried me.
Red Tide2

I would join as... myself. Although Red Tide would probably take care of any infections inside itself by utilising either nuclear weapons and/or the Current Gaurd.

Sorry, it's been a while since I've seen that movie. Definitely going to be the WWZ zombies.

I want to join this once things start to get going. Though I'm in favor of the slow moving zombies that move in large hordes.
I'm in! Of course, I'm wondering how exactly someone would play the zombies, considering they're slow, incredibly stupid, and their entire life can be summarized as "move towards the nearest sound/smell/moving object, moan, eat moving/noisy/smelly object, repeat."

I'm not sure about that, exactly...maybe everyone could RP the hordes in their nation?

This should be the beginnins of the NS World War Z. Avisron wanted information on how outbreaks spread, so it had the Leafanistani Mafia poison some poor militia dudes in "Mixastan."

Can i join as my nation, doing tests on people to create a new totaly obedient worker/slave force
Just throwing options out there, but there's always the "PRA gets their hands on a sample of Solanum and accidentally releases it" angle. Considering that a modern aircraft can travel around the world in a matter of hours, it'd be easy enough for an outbreak to spread world wide reasonably quickly, especially if the initial outbreak is in a reasonably populated area...

DGC: Sure, but the zombies won't be able to become any sort of labour force.

I already know what to put how the outbreak gets into my country.
Since its protected by a very strong glass dome, people aren't really worried, but compulsory gun laws makes them armed. The police would have M4 Carbines XD. The outbreak would begin in its main transportation of Dragonicale, the tunnels which trains travel through. Its very dirty down there,

Sounds sweet. I'd like to be a semi-wealthy, highly militaristic nation, who haven't yet been in contact with the virus/zombie-making hoohaahery. Once we do...all hell should break loose, although the government will be more concerned with making the zombies into soldiers - a project that will fail miserably, and with much bloodshed.
