28 Months Later (Interest Thread)

Alright, this is for all of those who loved the movie 28 Days and Weeks Later, or plain Survival/Horror awsomeness. Basically, I will sacrifice my country to the rage virus, and in essence the story will go from there how ever you want. Either RP your country moving in to destroy the virus, or RP a person or group of people within my nation trying to stay alive. I will RP the Rage Infected, as well as my Military and a group of survivors just for kicks and giggles.

Just calculating interest in such an RP....

Aye, they usually are around on NS, but pick up speed every couple months. Particularly during Summer Vacation, Spring Break, Winter Break etc.

Hmm Wanderjar, it would be better if you could start a WW2 Rp, then i'll join. I'm still looking for a good WW2 Rp out there... :D

I could see putting a biological warfare unit there, to see what this Rage is and see if it can be used as a biological weapon. Maybe carry an infantry or special forces unit with them for added protection.

I could be a few executives from Griffincrest there making oil deals and such.

I've never seen either of the movies, but I'll do some research, but it sounds like something I'd be interested in. As long as it's organized. If it's not, I'm not interested. I've been in too many like this where it's just a free-for-all.

I was going to start one soon (once I got the first post finished, already got a storyline laid out) but if I was i'd set rules for your RP. Otherwise, everyone seems to randomly have an assault rifle with unlimited ammo and instead of a Survival Horror you get a Zombie Deathmatch.

We should try to do kind of a World War Z thing. That would be cool. :D

But, yeah, interested.

I've got a semi-plauasable way of how you could get the outbreak...

Willing to send some GSG-9 men into New Roanoke to fetch some HE80?
That or convince one of my erm... extremely willing volunteers... to try sending you some, but the drop goes bad and resaults in said outbreak...

Hmmm... 5 Point Mafia was outfitted back when a syringe of the stuff was issued to every special ops soldier... And they need money...

[OOC: I'm always interested in these. They're awesome. It would be the perfect time for the LFA to just invade the country... or something. I dunno. Whatever you need.]

The first time I had intellegent zombies infest my nation... (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=453805&page=2)
I got mixed up in an FT tech swap mess...
Which I had to cover up in order to remain MT...

I skipped to page 2 to prevent you from seeing my newbish posts...
I was used to the idea of RPing the zombie's losses... Big mistake...

Then there was that 12 page zombie 'skirmish' in which my air defenses got owned by a single plane...
Read the whole thing to find out which plane it was... (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=456503)

Actually, that sounds very cool, lets do it.

@Ghost Tigers Rise: There is a Z War RP starting up. I'm going to be involved as well.

The LFA would be opportunists in this whole thing. What do you want me to do? Try to take over? Loot banks and military secrets?

Nothing like what remains of the Blood Kult of Khornate tribes hopped up on HE80, LSD, magic shrooms and opium to make life interesting...
(Sorry Isa, I moved them to a Hurtian sponsored refugee camp in Khornate...)

Being that HE80 tends to be easily spotted (if one looks for the specific symptoms), chances are, more than just a HOI merc is going to be sent in to 'clean up'.
-------
Was considering a 'dead man drop' with "safed" HE80, in a simple vial, rather than the original syringe.
*Means it has to be ingested, and no longer airborne.

Likewise, in placing the vial in some stones at a park, the vial cracks and leaks, then some dog/cat/squirrel ingests a small amount, and, as intended, injures a few kids, being a very small dose, it would take about a day for the stuff to become sufficiently large an infection to affect the kids, who, in turn, infect the parents.

During the day long gstation period, the mafia member leaves the country, and thus, is not infected.

Just an idea...

Ok, so how about this:

Emperor Baker learns that my dear allies, the PROHT, are testing HE80 on Khornate Tribesmen, and we are royally pissed. However, we don't know what it is, so we can't make a behind the scenes statement on it to you (After all, you're our friends! We wouldn't want to tarnish your image world wide ;)). Therefore, we send in our famous, infamous, and feared GSG-9 Operators to go into your lab and get a sample of it. However, it goes wrong, and over the course of the operation a vial gets broken or shot or whatever, causing an infestation within the area. My operators then must find their way out of the complex, and out of the city while this infestation germinates.

Sound good? Anything you'd like to add/subtract?

Actually, twas tested on convicts on New Roanoke Island (see the live fire air show, they were the targets), then, once deemed 'safe and fit for general military deployment' (See also "Davey Crockett Missile"), then the stuff started getting tossed about like candy to 'approved' frontline units...
(As 'Painkillers')

Little wonder that rumurs of zombies in the North swamps of Chitzeland occured soon after the Parthian firebase raids...

No need for GSG-9'rs, you could just ask for a sample...
(But very nicely, it may not be the world killing plauge of its predecessor* [simple cure/vaccine and a 1 week 'failsafe', requires fine mist or transmission of fluids, contact with fluids upon skin has similar -but less lethal, it only makes you a little 'drunk'- effect], but they aren't going to hand them out to anyone...)

And for reasons that are apparent, the Hurtian/khornate mafia isn't planning on selling the stuff to members of the Blood Kult...

Most of the data is found in m embassy factbook and the PROHT Airshow thread (linked in factbook), factbook on sig.
There was a reason why I buried this info deep... Both OOCly and ICly... (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10293745&postcount=67)

There is one particular encrypted TG (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10407224&postcount=99) of interest from the late doctor, who died of a disease related to zombification.

The envelope never left Mittleton, Alidor (place was leveled/firebombed before a proper evac could be made)...

*PVNRT, you don' want it, as unlike HE80, PVNRT/Plauge has no failsafes whatsoever and is airborne, tis also virus based, meaning there is no cure, and very little chance of a working vaccine... (Feb '06 was when I was still starting out, as the now infamous HT-101 hit the shelves that Janruary...)

Only thing about a blood transfusion virus is that you'd have to have a pretty large initial area of infection to make it feasible to become city-wide. Thats why for the RP i'm making, it's blood transfusion but it has infected the entire foodline.

I could come into this by sending MAVERICK in. They're the biological and chemical warfare clandestine government branch, but they have massive amounts of funds and a private army. They could hear about this new virus and send a Recovery Squad to retrieve it.

I'd peffer to keep the initial starting area small.

Because, once it gets strong enough to cause violent behavior in adault humans, the effect becomes near instant upon transmission of any fliuds, and well, getting a bit of blood, saliva or zombie sweat on you is no picnic either...
(Certain components of the biological agent can seep through skin, and if untreated, creates leasions/leprosy and, short fits of insanity)

Further reading of HE80 project:
OOC:
Brief overview of the gas, which for the time being will be called:
Ergot-X
It was designed as an easy to produce way of making all of PROHT’s population into a fighting force, or as a nation killing bio-weapon, unlike project plague, Ergot-X is easier to carry, and with proper quarantine will kill itself in one year.

It may be swallowed, injected, aerosol, or absorbed through the skin. And unlike normal Ergot, it self replicates within animals and processes its alkaloids into LSD.

Based on previous experiments the following has been discovered:
Cannot judge time or distance \ No good with firearms, prefer to bludgeon
Urge to think leaves them
Altered perception of reality (IR?) \ Hallucinations
They cannot run away from what they fear, they must attack
They do not feel pain
Appear to become stronger and ‘dumber’ the longer they are infected
Victim dies of brain damage and/or LSD overdose within 1 year of infection

They do not seem capable of swimming, and tend to drown if they attempt to do so, a few have managed to swim even after being infected for 6 months though.

They kill for 2 different reasons:
>They see you as food, they get hungry, you are an easy target, they leave nothing behind.

>They see you as a threat, they attack you in order to make you no longer a threat to them; this is how they expand.

And yes, they may attack each other, and eat their 'dead', provided their is an initial 'freindly fire' incedent. (Think early levels of the original DOOM FPS)

And note, didn't say they can't use guns, they just won't have great aim...

They may be reluctant to attack former friends during the initail infection, but eventually the hallucinations will get to them...

Infected corpses are still dangerous. (Bio-agent continues to reproduce beyond limits inside an otherwise living host=low dosages of high concentration which is insanely fast acting)

In short, it's like "Rage" from 28 days later.
------
Hmmm... 'E' class bio-agent carrier in a bar fight? (Carriers of either HE80 or PVNRT, dosage low enough for 10 minute delay)
