The Empire of Evil Flying Creatures is ruled by a hereditary Emperor who wields absolute power over the state. Despite the potential consequences of this, EFC has prospered due to a succession of surprisingly sane rulers. The current Emperor, Marcus III, was crowned only recently, the result of a plane crash which killed the former Emperor and most of his family. The trauma of this has turned Marcus into a psychopath, and he was persuaded to hand over the running of the government to his personal military commissar, Holtan Grygera. Grygera is an enigmatic figure and no one relly knows in what direction he will take EFC.
The biggest threat to the monarchy is the rise of a number of large resource trading corporations, the largest of which, the Evil Acquisition Group or EAG, has increasingly begun to bend the law in order to maximise profits and fight off the competition.
EFC’s military is known as the Marine, as the navy is by far the most funded branch. All EFC Imperial Guard are trained in amphibious assault and other forms of naval combat while all air force pilots are trained to land on aircraft carriers as well as runways.
