IC:The coronation of Emperor Marcus III took place today in Oxford amid rising tension. Marcus, rumoured to be psychopathic after his family was wiped out in plane crash, announced that day to day running of the Empire would be delegated to his military commissar Holtan Grygera, of who little is known. At this time monarchy need to show strength against the rising power of the Evil Acquisition Group, particularly as the, up till now, political struggle threatens to become an all out civil war. Director General of the EAG, Dominic Flint, was present at the coronation and spoke of his ‘utmost respect for the new Emperor’.
In other news, EAG’s Head of External Security, Henning Krieg, issued a statement today, denying involvement in the mysterious unexplained explosion at uranium mine owned by rival company, Flying Creatures Resources. Krieg stated implicitly that, ‘EAG never has been or will be inclined to put rival firms out of business through violence or sabotage’. Founded to trade the natural resources of Evil Flying Creatures, EAG is currently the largest corporation in the country, based on employment, assets and profit and has almost become a state within a state.
