Overview

Basically, this RP centers around a survival horror staple: a group of elite military types (in this case, mercenaries employed by a shadowy govermental group called Black Operations Annex-1st Paramilitary Division, or just BOA) end up stranded in an area (in the Amazon Rainforest, although, there'll be plenty of indoor and fairly urban settings as well) infested by the undead, and an assortment of monsters. Simple enough, right? The story will be introduced in a more in-depth manner once the IC thread is made.



So, if you interested in a character RP with good roleplaying, go ahead and create a character. You can have more than one, but you have to be willing to RP them all.

Bio: Because of his poor grades and the failing economy of Ghost Tigers Rise, Ian had little choice on what he could do after high school. Eventually, he chose military service, and, due to his natural skill, was quickly entered into the Commonwealth Army Rangers. After his first term of service was up, he re-enlisted and applied to the Commonwealth Special Forces, to which he was readily accepted. After 8 years in the SF, he was contacted by a government agent, who offered him a chance to lead his own spec-ops unit, in addition to a promotion to captaincy. Black accepted and was made leader of a recon unit of BOA-1OD.

Bio:
Born in Limerick, to Leah Katheryn, an officer of the Garda Síochána (LNI's police force), and Luca Freyja, a former member of the Wanderjarian GSG-9. It was clear what Emma's career would most likely be in the future.

She and her parents couldn't be more proud when she made it into the ARW, soon after it started allowing women into its ranks. Emma served with dedication for four years, and was commendated several times, before cashiering out at age 23.

Emma then completed her degree at community college and became a paramedic for two years. She was recently approached by an agent of BOA, who intended to hire her services. After recieving assurances that she wouldn't be breaking any of her country's laws, and wouldn't be extradited elsewhere, Emma, whose parent hospital could certainly use the money earned by the lucrative contract offered, accepted.

Bio: Nicholai was always a mysterious boy. He became obsessed with the military, after his own father was gunned down by a Latin American terrorist cell in Havana. However, he was deemed "unfit for duty" due to the fact he lacked discipline and refused to take orders. Infuritated by this, Nicholai began training for a Peace Keeper position. Seen as a heroic defender of justice by his peers, he quickly made his way up through the ranks until he became a member of the newly-formed E.T.A.R. (Emergency Tactical Armed Response) team. He stayed in this position for only a few months, and was again discharged for disobeying direct orders. However, he was noticed by the secretive government branch MAVERICK, and served in many operations until leaving after MAVERICK attracted the attention of the Director. Now, he serves as a mercenary, willing to do any job for the right price.

As an intelligence officer, his secondary duty on this mission, although he has not been informed of his primary one, is to survey the motives of the international team and relay them to Hamilay. He has little experience in combat, but has been conditioned by DSI training to be well-prepared for it.

History: Alehkra is pretty much a soilder of fortune, along with Saya. Hes kind of a wannabe playboy, constantly going after the girls, and constantly being rejected. Usually with slaps. He especially has gotten many a slaps from Saya, whom hes especially interested in. He was born in a small village in Mereshka, where his father taught him how to us a katana and a rifle. He was expelled from school, so he became a mercanary for the highest bidder, which in this case happens to be this particular squad.

David excels in high pressure, up front confrontations and relies on his agility to avoid zombie jaws. Coupled with snipers, Fisher is serves as a noisy distraction that allows the marksmen to kill their prey unfettered. A chainsmoking daredevil, Fisher is also quite possibly insane, and will go into the most dangerous situation with a smile on his face.

Bio: Growing up in the right-wing Republic of Tagmatium, he absorbed all of the anti-left wing propaganda spouted by the military dictatorship which led the country. He left school at 16 and joined the army, knowing that he would be in the frontline in the fight against Communism and the Empire-in-Exile, the previous regime of Tagmatium. He excelled at the basic infantry training, but never caught the attention of superior officers and so was never chosen for any special forces.

When the Republic was overthrown by a popular coup in 1995 due to its oppressive ways, Vetranio remained in the army, although the nation was now ruled by the left-wingers he so hated. He saw the left-wing Imperial Government as the reason for all the wrongs that happened under the oppressive military government of the Republic, but he was never in the position to act on his plans.

Due to his ideology, Vetranio was never promoted beyond the rank of corporal, although he definitely showed abilities above that rank. He grew fairly bitter with the army, and when the 2005 Civil War came around, which included the assassination of the Holy Emperor and an attempted coup by members of the Old Republic, Vetranio attempted to win his unit over to the right-wingers’ side. He failed, was arrested but managed to escape and has been living as a mercenary ever since.

Bio: Sih grew up with a warrior spirit, as his odd name always caused the other kids to pick on him. He grew to a point where, though not physically intimidating, could floor people twice his weight in one move. He went to college and majored in English, where, in a freak accident, he lit his head on fire. He still sports the scars from this incident, just minor burns on his face and jaw, but he picked up the nickname 'Candle'. He took the name and shortened it to 'Cand', seeing it as less odd than Sih. He attained his useless degree and joined the army, looking for something to pass the time.

The army picked up on his childhood skills and smaller frame and taught him the finer arts of stealth and murder. He served three years before being dishonorably discharged (for reasons he would rather not disclose), and quickly found work at a security company. Really, they were a mercenary corporation, but security company sounded more legitimate. He quit the company after only two years and took up freelance mercenary work.

332 Pounds is still massively excessive. Not even body builders are that, and they are 0% bodyfat... and if your character has 0% bodyfat.. he wouldn't be able to operate, at all, for a long duration.

Bio: Sih grew up with a warrior spirit, as his odd name always caused the other kids to pick on him. He grew to a point where, though not physically intimidating, could floor people twice his weight in one move. He went to college and majored in English, where, in a freak accident, he lit his head on fire. He still sports the scars from this incident, just minor burns on his face and jaw, but he picked up the nickname 'Candle'. He took the name and shortened it to 'Cand', seeing it as less odd than Sih. He attained his useless degree and joined the army, looking for something to pass the time.

The army picked up on his childhood skills and smaller frame and taught him the finer arts of stealth and murder. He served three years before being dishonorably discharged (for reasons he would rather not disclose), and quickly found work at a security company. Bio: Sih grew up with a warrior spirit, as his odd name always caused the other kids to pick on him. He grew to a point where, though not physically intimidating, could floor people twice his weight in one move. He went to college and majored in English, where, in a freak accident, he lit his head on fire. He still sports the scars from this incident, just minor burns on his face and jaw, but he picked up the nickname 'Candle'. He took the name and shortened it to 'Cand', seeing it as less odd than Sih. He attained his useless degree and joined the army, looking for something to pass the time.

The army picked up on his childhood skills and smaller frame and taught him the finer arts of stealth and murder. He served three years before being dishonorably discharged (for reasons he would rather not disclose), and quickly found work at a security company. Really, they were a mercenary corporation, but security company sounded more legitimate. He quit the company after only two years and took up freelance mercenary work.

Actually, I could be more reasonable to my own self and add to it with an MP7 of sorts. But then Nerotika [He is going to be making a sheet soon] would be upset :-P.

Well, the way I see it...both guns for Nero use completely different caliburs. The .45 is a good way to give your self off, but should be more or less the oh shit weapon of sorts. The MP7 is much quieter, and I'd see it useful even if he already has a sidearm.

Not really...

The MP7 actually has quite a silent 'report'. Also, .45's tend to reach the end of it's life span really quickly if used with a silencer. More chance of a problem occuring, that is.

P90 is universal, the rounds are universal, and the gun is reliable that to the point a smart marksman could keep to his single clip in a a day. Besides, I'm not planning on keeping what I have throughout the game. The whole reason to start off with the 92FS was just to have fun and be the different guy, but now as I realize it I may as well grab something. Besides, lots of bodies to loot later on if the P90 is that popular. ;)

Cause when an enemy is right infront of you and you just ran out of ammo are you gunna reload? Trust me, I could have simply just said I had to MP7's but that would be expensive concidering the cost of an MP7 and its specially designed ammo so much so that a pistol espcially a Colt .45 plus its ammo would be cheap and effective. Also a Colt .45 being an old weapon has a long history of reliability, the MP7 on the other hand though proven to be effective under extreme conditions has no history and would be hard to trust alone.

No, I'm going to find cover, or, more likely, die. If the enemy is within effective range for the .45, and I don't have enough cover to safely reload, then I probably don't have the time to pull out my sidearm before I get shot.

Anyway, first of all, there's no real point to having two identical weapons. Dual-wielding is useless outside of the movies, and it would just add unnecessary weight and, as you said, cost.

I know that, I grew up in a family that had servicemembers that were around during the phasing-out of the Colt.

That was never my point. My point is that you have two weapons made to serve, essentially, the same purpose: to provide protection to soldiers that have priorities on the battlefield other than directly firing on the enemy (e.g. mechanics, truck drivers, etc.), and to be lightweight and reliable in situations that a full-sized rifle is to encumbersome for. Both weapons have performed admirably in this role; so why not eschew one firearm in favour of one that can perform a different role, and keep the other as your sidearm, for desperate situations like the one you mentioned at the beginning of your post?
