Forward Headquarters, 3rd Grand Army

" Lord General, we have finished securing the city, we have completed airbases and fortified positions of our garrisons."
" Excellent. How are the logistics coming along?"
" Very well sir, the truck and planes have been coming in now for a week, all day and all night. We have enough supplies now to launch the offensive."
" Okay." Lord General Guderian walked over to the map table again, where Operation: Frost was layed out. It was simple, Guderian thought, but it was suppose to be. They would land in the hills, securing firebases. Then they would bring in troops and artillery to those firebases, so they could cover the next assault. That way, they wouldn't be cut off from heavy fire support or supplies. They would do this until they eventually reached the capital city. In addition, armor with infantry support and helichopter support would make use of the roads. This was risky Guderian knew, but the tanks would help in the cities. He nodded to himself, the offensive would commence the next day.

Rain poured onto the back of the six-ton truck. Inside were dozens of artilley shells needed for the next offensive. The driver, Joe Moore, hoped that no guerrillas would attack his truck. He shuddered, and it wasn't because of the cold rain. NC guerrillas hadn't attacked yet, but it didn't mean they wouldn't. Luckily, the convoys had numerous defenses. Military policemen drove by them, heavily armed, in Crisis armored cars. In addition, some men had taken their trucks and converted them into 'gun trucks' these had armor, machine guns, grenade launchers, and the like. This reassured Moore, but nevertheless it was still scary to drive, knowing it would take a mere RPG into the back of his truck to set it off like a match in a fuel drum. With that thought in mind, he continued to drive the truck along.

Rumbling, Sergeant Mack tried the engine of his Panther. It started up, the mechanics back in the rear had done a good job of patching her up. They had taken a direct round to the engine area, and it had screwed the engine up. Luckily, the crew had been fine, a testament to the Panther's superior armor. Now however, she was back in action and ready for the new offensive.
" Sounds like she's running good, Sergeant." Said the gunner, Chris Nelson
" She's a beaut."
" The commander will like it."
Mack scowled, he hated their commander, LT. Nook, with a fiery passion, unbeknown to others. That commander was up to no good, Mack had lost count of how many times he had made a tactical error. Mack also had to yell over the roar over the engine to convince the damn kid to not go ahead with the course of action. Too often, the idiot kid had ignored him, and he had almost got men killed. Mack knew how lucky he was that none had died yet. Before he could say much more, however, the radio called all troops into tanks, they were moving out.

serguant Shazike Nazrallah positioned himself along with a group of 20 SOH freedom fighters, armed with AK-47s and RPG-7s they awaited the arrival of approaching convoys, they would fire there RPGs at hostile targets, and capture the ones that couldnt fight back well.

OOC: I assume it is OK to continue with the establishment of refugee camps as I said in the 'Preparing the defence' thread?

The first refugee camps were established and the Alversian troops began to dig in tanks, HMG's and SAM's in order to repel any attack from the struggling powers. The Alversian troops were experienced and well-armed. They would fight fiercely to defend the Camps. The white flag with a blue cross was raised to show that the camps were neutral and run by charities. Already, hundreds of refugees fleeing the bombings and attacks had arrived and were settling in. They could stay as long as was necissary, the Alversians would protect them.

The Convoy
Private Ben Normon was sitting the rear of the Crisis armored car. He was a military policeman, tasked with protecting the numerous convoys that constantly went to supply the huge army. Ben drifted off to daydreaming, thinking of his wife in bed, and how she had sent him a letter a month ago that she was having their child. Ben grinned, thinking of what he would do with their son or daughter. Quickly, he shook himself awake, must keep watch. A few minutes later, his focus paid off. His eyes opened wide with terror. "Enemy group! Three o' Clock!" The Crisis came screeching to a halt. Ben heard the sergeant warning the convoy to halt. The 15.5mm gun on top of the car began shooting out it's deadly rounds, that could pierce steel. The door was thrust open, as Ben forced himself out and lay prone. He took the safety off his M-27, looked down the iron sights, and began firing.

OOC: Great! I'll post troop numbers as soon as I know how many Refugees there are likely to be.

The two Alversian Observers were impressed with the speed and the skill of the advance. The Panther tank was highly impressive and already Alversia had her first samples. She was testing them as they spoke, some might even see action if the Camp's neutrality was not honoured.

While Alversia was steering a neutral path in this conflict, an attack on the camps would be considered as an act of war. All nations were aware of it, but just in case some oppurtunistic troops tried to take advantage.

Allah Akbure!!! yelled the SOH as 7 of the 20 men fired RPG-7s at the crisis and attacknig cars, the others opend up on visible men, 3 of the SOH were blown to pieces by the incoming rounds. Shazike ducked and picked of some of the firing men, hitting a private in the chest.

Ambush
" Fuck this is fucking insane!" screamed one of the men that was with Ben.
" Shit, yes." He fired a two-round burst, blowing an insurgents head off. Sorry, Lord, for I have sinned, forgive me Lord, for you are merciful.
" Incoming RPG's!" Ben could barely see them before they slammed into the Crisis' armored cars. They were down for the count. Shrapnel rained all around Ben.
" Fuck!"
A gun truck pulled up, it's numerous machine guns began to fire at the enemy, while truck drivers hopped out, armed with pistols and personal defense weapons.
Ben saw a flash, and then something hit his chest, it felt like being punched but worse. He was bewildered for a few seconds, then he cursed, and looked at his chest. He breathed a sigh of relief, the bullet had failed to puncture the armor. Then he saw the enemy begin to charge, and he could not reach for his now discarded M-27. Ben quickly grabbed for his pistol, and began firing. Grenades flew overhead at the enemy.

7 of the 20 men were now KIA, Shazike and the other that were left ran to across the road, as he ran Shazike empty a AK-47 round into the private again, hoping to disable him, he needed a prisoner for this operation to have some success.

Ambush
Everything was in slow motion. Ben could hear the bullets whiz by his head, see them impact in the dirt in front of him, and then, one impacted on his throat. Blood began to literally gush out, he could scarcely breath. He tried to yell, but couldn't. He could only hold his hand over the wound and pray to God. He was fading away now, he could tell, his vision blurred, and the sounds of battle fading. Then he felt something yank against his back. Words came, faintly, but re-assuring nonetheless. " You are going to be okay. Just hang on, you are going to be okay." Ben tried to reply to the angel, but he couldn't. The man dragged behind the wreck of the Crisis, which still offered some protection from enemy bullets. " Fuck! He's bleeding out! Jordan, come help me!" The two medics worked frantically on the throat wound, trying to fix the broken artery and bandage it. These were the last things Ben saw before he awoke at Heaven's Gates.

they ran up to take the man and the medics, one of the medics pulled out his pistol, and smacked a round into one of Shazikes men, Shazike smacked the gun out of the mans hand with the but of his weopon then he ran up to the other medic and stuck the barrel of his AK in the mans face.

Shazike: Dont fucking do it!!, he said thinking the man was going to draw his gun. the others provided covering fire while they began to tie there hands.

thousands of refuges ran towards the Alversia camps, screaming holding babys and crying, some of the men were TPA soldiers make sure they got there safley.

With the approval of the Camp Commandant, several trucks and jeeps sped towards the column. They took as many old, wounded and young Refugees as they could carry and drove back towards the camps, several APC's stayed to ensure the rest arrived there safely.

Ambush
Johnny cursed. His friend, James, was down, after shooting a man he had been knocked out by the enemy. Now, to make thing even worse, one of the other enemies had an AK barrel against his face. He looked around, anywhere, seeing if there was any chance of escape, he found it, a squad was moving to attack the enemy. If he could just stall them...
" Who they fuck are you? You'd better get that AK out of my face, or I swear you'll regret it." His hand inched slowly further down towards his knife.

Shizek muttered something in arabic, and he swung his AK connected with the mans head, they picked them up on there shoulders and started running 5 of them ran with the captured men along with Shazik, the other 4 kept up the fire, they ran out of ammunition, oen picked out a grenade and they all did the same, pulling out the pin they ran towards the machine guns, yelling Allah Akbure.

Ambush
Another gun truck pulled up, this one equipped with a minigun. The man manning it grinned with glee, yelling about death and destruction and all sorts of nonsense. But that didn't much matter, what did matter, however, was its over 4,000 rounds a minute rate of fire. He aimed it at the enemy charging, and watched as they turned into lumps of red meat, organs spilling out, skulls and faces gone, and blood everywhere. He turned it at the running enemies, and watched two go down, but the other two escaped his wrath.

" ITTTTTTTSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDD'SSSSSSSSS WIIIIIIILLLLLL!" The maniac manning the gun screamed, saliva flowing from his mouth like a rabid dog's.

the two men were torn apart by the fire, the other 3, 2 of whom were cariing the medics, and Shazike ran for cover, and reached a dense area of bushes and set the men down, taking off there weopons, and restraining them.

Shazike: We head back to base, but first we are going to ask them some questions: his accent was thick

" Ack, what the fuck?" said James, slowly coming to reality now. He looked around, bewildered, and saw his captors. James also noted he was very far away from the convoy now.

Shazike laughed at the man and then turned blank.

The safety and well being of the civilian population should be a priority. Now with that being said I wish to send a proclaimation to each nation willing to recieve suggesting that a trade embargo be placed around the nation of Carbandian for this war until the point they end it, should they end it and North Calaveras then attacks the same should be done about them.

Ten thousand men flew overheard of North Cal, they were dropped via an air fleet of C-5 Galaxies that let them land on the eastern side of North Cal, several miles inland from the beach.

Ten thousand men were put into the nation of North Cal. Not for battle, but to house refugees. One massive camp called Blanco, where they expected to house a hundred thousand refugees. A huge task, a huge task that required a rather large piece of land. They chose twenty-five square miles of land and began setting up a perimeter, nearly a hundred refugees came in the first day, setting up their own shelter, tents.

On the second day the lines of sand bags were wide, several cement pill boxes were being created, along with a few foxholes that were a bit behind the sand bags, that would allow them to fire hell on any who attempted to take the refugee camp, government nor wear people would commit an act of violence to this place without losing many a men.

Also on the second day a thousand refugees had entered the large plot of land their fields of tents were large. They were soon given a four square miles of land to farm, while patrols of Nationalist troops killed off deer and other such mammals to feed the growing populace. Along with bringing in over a hundred pieces of large wood, that would make the refugee camp's city hall.

The city hall wasn't large or great, but it was the biggest... anything on the refugee camp's perimeter. The outside of the walls were lined with the thick tree pieces, about three meters high, all of them cut even using hacks or saws, or even a borrowed bayonet. A single, four meter high, thick piece of wood was dug into the ground, supported by several sandbags, and allowed for a large piece of wool, thanks to the woman of the camp, to be placed over. This piece of wood draped down onto the outside wall of the city hall, and where nailed into it, causing a nice hard grip. A top of this was hundreds of pieces of kindling and wood that would be placed to protect the roof of the city hall from the heat of the day, along to stockpile wood for the coming days.

Please all needs to end this, I shall be contacting the ruler of the nation your attacking next*

Official ADAN Warning To North Calaveras

"You have less than twenty-four hours to surrender your arms before war is declared upon you by the Aggressive Defensive Alliance of Nations. There have already been members of said alliance give you warning, but now it is an official ADAN warning. If you do not want an entire alliance breathing down your neck, I'd suggest you surrender now. We will offer you negotiable terms that will be friendly. As this message is being sent, the Dephirian Army is preparing for an assault. Their coastal weapons are aiming towards your nation. The Firehelper First Fleet patrolled the area around NC and TPF. Recently they were ordered to secure wait outside of the conflict zone for further orders. Soon they came.
Order 1001342
Establish beachhead in NC territory conquered by TFP. Further orders pending.

The fleet soon steamed together at their best possible speed. Submarines created a ring around them and cruisers, frigates, corvettes, amphibious assault ships, and several other varieties of ships surrounded the two carriers in the middle. Soon air cover was set up as the fleet steamed toward the shore.
[night 1km off shore]
Several dozen motorboats streamed out of the amphibious assault ships. They contained marines, specially trained to secure the beach int he event of a amphibious assault. Soon after they would get on the beach other people and equipment would follow, but for now they would suffice as a first strike group.
Li, a corporal, sat in one of these boats.
"Men be proud! This is the first combat mission that firehelper has undertaken since its isolation." he said. The men gave a small cheer in reply. Eventually the boats landed on the beach after several snipers took out all the visible guards. All the men hopped out including Li and began crawling up the beach.

Shazike: James, you need to carry him, or i will shoot him.

he raised his AK

Operation: Survival of the fittest

General Pierce, had desigend a way to make as much damage for as long as possibel, the cities would not be allowed to surrender, they were expected to do there duty, only when each citys garrison reached 25% would they retreat to the next garrison.

as these orders were being carried out, men and tanks(20,000 and 500 tanks) appraoched the enemy formations.

In a Command Panther
Lord General Guderian glanced at the holographic displays all in front of him. Yes, they were making good progress. Around forty miles or so in just just under a few hours. Now however, he grimaced as formations of enemies appeared on his map, and reports began spilling across the radio. Nodding to himself, and praying to God for victory, he began to order units around on the map.

Screen glowed brightly in front of the two men. Order splashed upon them. They parked the Lion Self-Propelled 155mm Artilley and began targeting. They synchronized the firing with the other cannons.
" We are God's Will, and God has recruited us to punish these atheist fools."
"Per Deus nos incedimus" Said the other.
The thunderous boom shook the Lion as a rocket-assisted shell sped out of the cannon. The two men could hear the autoloader in the back working to load a new shell. It fired again. The Lion could manage ten rounds a minuted, and in addition, it was firing at targets over 50 kilometers away.

" We have been ordered to support these infantry against the enemy tank assault."
Mack shook his head, Nook kept on repeating that, as if he could not comprehend it.
" Yes sir. We're suppose to protect them against a tank assault."
" I know that, Sergeant."
Mac had to bite his tongue to not yell at him.
" I am loading a RAKE shell."
" Yes sir."

The glider divisions flew in, their wooden crafting allowed them to make an oddly stealthy approach during the night. Thanks to the Vetalian attack by their air force the troops of the fourteen divisions and three brigades landed just behind the set-up Vetalian position. They would have re-occupied the DPZ but they had little armour, and the armour they did have was still being assembled.

As the night passed the troops of the fourteen glider divisions set up house around the Vetalian base, covering the single left flank the most, not wishing to spread their forces on the opposite side of the battle field, it would be.... a fool mistake.

The three independent brigades began assembling their weaponry, fifty LY3A2 main battle tanks, and two hundred sixty BMP-3 Armoured Personnel Carriers. Their next shipment was already en route, another glider engineer division, but the flight was long and they would most-likely be there by the next night.

The Firehelper First Fleet patrolled the area around NC and TPF. Recently they were ordered to secure wait outside of the conflict zone for further orders. Soon they came.

The fleet soon steamed together at their best possible speed. Submarines created a ring around them and cruisers, frigates, corvettes, amphibious assault ships, and several other varieties of ships surrounded the two carriers in the middle. Soon air cover was set up as the fleet steamed toward the shore.

Several dozen motorboats streamed out of the amphibious assault ships. They contained marines, specially trained to secure the beach int he event of a amphibious assault. Soon after they would get on the beach other people and equipment would follow, but for now they would suffice as a first strike group.
Li, a corporal, sat in one of these boats.
"Men be proud! This is the first combat mission that firehelper has undertaken since its isolation." he said. The men gave a small cheer in reply. Third Grand Army
Lord General Guderian pondered this latest move. The enemy had retreated in the face of superior firepower. A wise move, but one which would cost them much. He grinned like a wolf. Reaching, in front of him, he touched numerous buttons on his holographic display, sending orders to the artillery units and the army.

The entire army snaked up the roads now, but they would only go a few miles or so, just so that the artillery could get within range of the enemy position. However, they had to have the robots go out first to find enemy land mines and IED's. This would cost them precious time. Guderian wasn't one to waste time. He decided to give the enemy a taste of what was to come. Four A-21 'Death Dealers' would dive in on the enemy, delivering cluster bombs and napalm. Then they would dive with their 30mm gattling cannons. It would buy time, which is what Guderian wanted. Then they would be in a world of hurt when the shells came crashing down upon their heads. It would be a slaughter, and there would be little the enemy could do about it. Once they arrived, the towed artillery was deployed. More than one thousand of them would fire, including five hundred other guns of the SPA. With a ten rounds a minute the enemy would be crushed. The Infantry and armor especially. Once all was set up, the slaughter began. Willy peter would burn the enemy infantry, while cluster shells would run both enemy tanks and infantry. The Willy Peter would be just a mere taste of what was to come in Hell for the godless communists.

Third Army
The sound was horrendous. Thousands of shells left the cannons, huge fireballs spewing from them. They leaped into the sky, activating their rocket's and whoosh sounds came from them. You could see the white streams as they flew down towards their targets. Where they landed, men would know nothing but death and horrible destruction beyond their wildest imaginations.

OOC: Since there has been no resposne to my incoming invasion force... Ill presume that no moves have been made to intercept it.

IC:The sun rose on the empty beach in North Calavera's. It was a quiet day, with nary a person around. There werent even any enemies within 50 kilometers. Everything would go as planned... exactly as planned.

The first landing hovercraft rolled up onto the beaches, unloading an entire Motorised-Infantry Divisions combat personnel. Red Tidean soldiers(nicknamed meatpuppets due to their fanatical loyalty to the state and the fact there were so damn many of them), APC-45s, and MBT-66s rolled onto the sand.

The hovercrafts ramp lifted up, they turned back and began heading back to the transports and amphibious assault ships as the second wave of hovercraft, these ones carrying another Motorised-Infantry Divisions combat personnel, passed them at the midway point. The plan was to bring two Motorised-Infantry divisions and a Mechanized-Infantry division ashore, along with their attached brigades, one of which was a engineer one.

Once that was done and a perimeter set up, the engineer brigade would begin to build a airfield and assemble the three artificial harbors so the rest of the Field Army could unload and supplies could be brought in. From the start of the landings to the beginning of construction would take six hours... far less time then the minimium required for the enemy to react. The first harbor would be ready another twelve hours later, by then a enemy counterattack was to be expected, but enough troops would have already been shipped ashore and the ships could provide supporting firepower to break up any assaults.

Even worse for the North Calaveras, Red Tide had landed far behind their lines where The People's Freedom was. If Red Tide could breakthrough to the People's Freedom lines further inland, then some of NCs units would be caught in a encirclement from which they would be decimated. The most prudent thing for the North Calaveras Military to due would be to form a new line on the opposite side of the Red Tidean beach head from the TPF lines. Of course, most likely, they wouldnt do it, since it would mean abandoning much territory, and many cities, towns, villages, and their population, to do so.

The Shakal forces began to reach the front and immedialy moved to the flanks for an enveloping manouver. The Shakal planes zoomed overhead and gave cover to the land forces. In the meantime General Bock looked for Guderian for info on where to send his men. The towed artillery were set up and fired. Almost a 1000 units shot simulatiously. It signalled to the enemy that death was approaching.

The shells impacted positions all around the defencive lines, thousands(10,000 KIA) of men screamed for there mothers as the blasts torn them apart and tanks(500 Destroyed) were being torn apart by the shells. the cammander orderd a retreat to the next city Akadia. thousands of men even jumped on the remaining vehicles and sped off.


In the Hills

the SOH were now preparing for a offensive to encirlcle the the enemy speeidng down the highway, they had for an offensive action(5,000 men,100 SOL T-62s 1,000 Technicals Tow/50 cals, 300 katushkas, and over 40 high explosive bomb cars that were now waiting for the enemy to appraochthe city.

At The Highway
The damage had been amazing. According to initial reports, there were thousands of dead and mutilated bodies on the road. Until they were cleared, the Third Grand Army could move no further that day. Lord General Guderian decided to set up camp for the night, making sure ample sentries were still awake to prevent any surprise attack. Guderian heard that the Shakal commander, a General Bock, was here to meet with him. Guderian got out of his tank and into a Crisis, he always went to get visitors, instead of sending an aide to get them. Adjusting his cap, with the Imperial Eagle on it, he got out of the Crisis, and walked up to General Bock. He saluted.
" Hello, I am Lord General Guderian, command of the Third Grand Army. Please, come to my forward headquarters where we may talk and eat dinner. I have food, as well as drink. You will join me, ja?

A SOH had enterd a car bomb in the form of a crisis car, althouth it didnt look much the part, but they just need to get close. the car raced down the highway. they would reach the camp soon.

General Bock salutes Guderian back. "Of course I will join you good sir." He said to Guderian. "Shall I assume we are to camp alongside your men tonight?"

At a Sentry Post
Private Jorge was almost sleeping at the post. But almost was the key word, he was awake, albeit bored and sleepy. After all, they had been traveling for some time on this highway, and sitting in the back of a Six-Ton was not Jorge's idea of fun. Far from it. Beside him was his squadmate, Private Kyle, and they had more soldiers with them. These included a machine gun team, and a anti-tank team. In addition, they had a Crisis, its 15.5mm was quite deadly. Jorge was about to go to sleep when he heard a engine roaring in the distance.
" You hear that, Kyle?"
" Yeah."
" What the fuck is it?"
" Sounds like a car." The sentry post was awake now, the sergeant already calling the command post." In the distance they could see it. It looked like an Crisis, but it was going much to fast. The sergeant screamed "Fire!" Jorge undid the safety and let loose with his M-25 SAW. The missile fired, as well as the machine gun team and Crisis.

At the Camp
" Very fine, General Bock, I am glad you have accepted my offer". He led him into the Crisis. " Your men may camp beside our fine troops, as long as they share sentry duty. My men are quite tired." He chuckled. Guderian like General Bock so far. As the Crisis started to move, he decided to make some small talk. " So, you have any wife or kids? By the way, you can call me Heinz, some call me 'Hurrying Heinz.' He laughed at the nickname, a short, but strong laugh.

SOH: I am recon for TPF, Recon TPF, hold your fire, hold your fire!!

Jorge stopped firing. They all did, but just for a second. The sergeant screamed:
"WE DON'T HAVE ANY RECON EXCEPT FOR THE OP'S AND LP'S COMMENCE FIRE."

" Fuck!" Agreed Jorge, his SAW also firring.

"Of course our men will share sentry duty. It is expected." Bock began following Guderian into the Crisis car. "Actually, I have no children or wives, currently, Hurrying Heinz." Bock finished. "My nickname at one time was Brute Bock, back when the Empire went to war with Arbiters. It has fallen out of favor latly, I plan to revive it."

The car approached and then detnated, a massive explosion accured that could be seen from 2 miles away. the SOH now saw Allah.

In The Crisis

The Empire utilized advanced technology on more subtle levels than most knew.

The SOH prayed for the man who sacrificed himself. they prepared for the assault, they would stay low and stick to offroad, as soon as they were withing 500 yards, the katushkas would open fire on the camps, better to kill drivers then kill the vehicles.

the 15-man squad jogged out of sight, and General Mcalpin went back to his vehicle, thinking the situation over.

Camp R-1

The Alversian Troops who were herding the Refugees into the camp, saw an explosion far off in the distance. One of them shook his head sadly, so much death, for so little gain. The Camps were swelling and space would soon run out unless another few were established.

Despite the neutrality, the Alversians were curious and sent a small recon squad of 5 men to check the source of the explosion

OOC: Still no response to my landing, Ill assume a counterattack never took place.

IC: The first Artificial Harbor was complete, tons upon tons of equipment, supplies, and troops began unloading onto North Calavera's soil. Another artificial harbor was being set-up, as was a airfield. The North Calaverasian's had had their chance to attack the Red Tide Field Army... and they had blown it.

The SOH were ready to begin the assault, they prayed to jesus or muhammed. They got up and prepared to decend on the camp, the Katushaks were all ready to fire there vollyes. SOH had now set up 10 snipers in the woods nearby to kill important troops such as officers.

The recon team ran smack into the middle of an Assualt Force, but, not wishing to break the terms of neutrality, keep hidden and just watched the NC Soldiers prepare to attack...

the engines of the technicals fired up(1,000 technicals and 100 SOL T-62) would flank the enemys while the katushkas caused choas, the infantry and snipers would kill the soldiers try to escape there camp, then they would fall back into the hills whence they did serious damage.

Following discussions with the NC Army, it was decided to withdraw the Recon force from the area. It was dangerous to have them in the middle of a full scale counter-attack. The battle could be monitored with the Alversian Spy Satalleite which had recently been placed over the nation to monitor events

Sergant Wall and his squad jogged toward the site of the explosion, keeping to the shadows and sides of buildings. As they came around a corner, they saw several un-uniformed men holding assault rifles and RPG launchers. He turned to his squad and said: "Stay here, these men might be some of the North Calveras fighters we are supposed to help.". He then approached the men warily.

Sergant Wall radioed his position and the colonel's response to General Mcalpin, who immediately began moving the army. Sgt. Wall then followed the colonel, releived that they had finally met some allies.

The second firehelper fleet approached the blockade. Numerous UCAVs surrounded the area above the fleet as they approached the line. It was clear that they were going to run it and had no intention of stopping.

The forces were heavily entrenched now taking concealed positions and slowly pressing forward. there were reports of a small hospital base in the area and scouts were out looking every night for it.

Observation Post Number Thirteen
Observation post duty was normally very boring, and this case followed the rest. The team consisted of just four men out in the woods, who were looking for enemy forces to report back to base. They were all Rangers, so they knew what they were doing and knew how to do it well. They weren't even that heavily armed, they were to report any enemy movement and that's it. About an hour or so into their shift, it suddenly got exciting. One of the members stopped, holding up a hand, and he crouched. In the distance, the Rangers could hear enemy men talking softly. After moving into some trees to take cover, they hear trucks moving up. The leader of the squad reported the enemy forces. He was ordered to wait for more enemy forces to show up. The OP was rewarded not much later when they heard tank engines rumbling in the distance. When they reported this latest development, they were ordered back to base.

Inside Guderian's Crisis
Guderian listened intently to the radio reports coming across his network. Seeing the damage would have to wait, because clearly the enemy was up to bigger things. He told the driver to return to HQ. Once there, he quickly began issuing his latest orders. His hands moved gracefully along the holographic displays as the units were given new orders. They enemy was massing in the woods for an assault, no doubt. Luckily his Rangers had spotted the enemy. They no doubt thought they had the element of surprise, but in reality Guderian had it. His hand moved over to the MLRS units, and ordered them to unleash hell upon the enemy. He ordered the camp to full alert, everyone would soon be awake and ready to fight. Guderian smiles as he heard the first missiles leaving their launchers, whooshing sounds in the distance. Over 1,000 missiles had fired, It took just twelve missiles to carpet a one square kilometer area in deadly sub munitions. If the enemy wasn't obliterated, destroyed, they would be too damaged to launch the attack.

klaxons suddenly blared as numerous contacts suddenly sprang up on screen. The admiral rushed onto the bridge.
"Report!" he shouted.
"Tehre are numerous missiles, presumably MLRS units. all ground forces have been alerted and are attempting to leave the area."

Soon the bridge became a area of activity as fighters were scrambled and launched on the electromagnetic catapults. Soon a fourth of the fighters from the two carriers were in the air and heading to the area that the missiles were launched from.
[Front Lines]
"TAKE COVER!!!" all present began looking for the nearest cover as the APS systems on the IFVs, tanks, and APCs began shooting out air bust projectiles.The majority were successful in eliminating the sub munitions that went past the proximity missiles. However, many explosions could be heard as men screamed when a missile impacted the ground. Soon came a break as the enemy had to reload.

24 fighters screamed over the area several km from the launch site. Soon they all launched heat seeking missiles before breaking off and heading home.

"Order the artillery to open fire. It looks like we wont get any sleep tonight." Bock said into his earpiece. Thirty seconds later the Shakal artillery opened up fire on the suspected North Calaveras positions. The larger 155mm towed guns would be devastating to the infantry of the Comminist regime. The infantry got to defensive positions and Bock was informed each step along the way.


Artillery Firing Line

"The General has ordered us to fire." The Battery commander ordered. "Get the shells flying and hit them hard." He added. In the meantime the other Shakal forces readied for the counterattack taking strong defensive positions.

Firehelper troops continue to radiate outwards constructing makeshift bunkers, foxholes, spider holes, hedgehogs, and other things from local material.

"What highway is this?" he asked "Highway 114, a fairly major highway that would be used by TPF forces for supplies." replied the private.

[Several hours later]
Numerous soldiers stood in the bushed along side the highway. 1/4 carried RPGs with tandem heat warheads, enough to take out a MBT. 1/4 carried snipers, and 1/2 were regular soldiers.The road also had a very low trip wire that would be run over by the convoy. Soon the ambush would take place as the faint rumbling of a convoy could be herd.

IC: The Sea Battle

The enemy had made a poor missile choice. Their missiles didnt have a low cieling, but at 80,000 feet, they were still in range of Red Tidean Surface-Air Missiles. The primary anti-aircraft weapon of the TSRT-N was the MDSM-4, a semi-active RADAR/LADAR guided, low-high altitude, multi-purpose surface-air missile with a ceiling of 95,000 feet and a max range of 280 kilometers. As the enemy anti-ship missiles reached the 100 kilometer mark, the four Red Tidean Cruisers, 24 Red Tidean Destroyers, and 10 Red Tidean M-Battleships began to salvo these missiles off.

The number quickly dropped from 150 to 90, then to 45, then to 30. As the missiles passed the 50 kilometer mark, the ships simply sat in formation and continued lobbing missiles. The M-Battleships were capable of carrying 1,500 missiles each, and two of them were loaded with nothing but MDSM-4s. The final enemy missile went down just as it was beginning its terminal dive. The total expenditure had been 732 MDSM-4s.

The Red Tidean Ships then turned their attention on the Vetelian Planes. In response to the enemies spread out maneuver, the TSRT-N lobbed even more missiles at the enemy. The planes were probably hastily assembled for a strike anyways... but a hoard of MDSM-4s roared from the decks, about 2,000 missiles streaked in, targetting each jet.

The other persueing enemy fleet was irrelevant. It would not catch up with the Red Tidean Dreadnought groups as they steamed North, to help the convoy ships secure the beach head Red Tide had. If they got within 500 kilometer, they would find a hoard of CM-4s shoved at them before they got within even 400 kilometers of the Red Tidean Ships.

Along the Highway
Dozens of convoys moved through the highways every day, bringing supplies to the front. And, like all the convoys, they were protected by gun trucks and military policemen in Crisis armored cars. Joe Jackson stood manning one of the 12.7mm machine guns on one of the gun trucks. It was a fun task for him to do, after all, with the power of the weapon. This gun truck also had a few inches of steel welded on, scourged from enemy T-62 tanks. It also had other machine guns on it, 7.62mm and 12.7mm, as well as a 40mm grenade launcher. Finally it's armament was rounded off with a half of a squad of MP's on it. As always, Joe made sure to keep a sharp eye out for ambushers that might try to ruin his fun. Whatever fun... he was having, that is.

Soon the trucks ran over the tripwire setting off two explosives on each side of the road.
9 shots rang out hitting either a driver or gunner. 9 tandem heat charges also speed towards the tanks. These charges have been known to penetrate even the famed British Challenger two tanks and these light armored vehicles should prove no match against it. After the first salvo numerous machine guns and assault rifles began to shoot hopefully clearing out the remained survivors.

The request was forwarded... and accepted. Soon, Red Tidean Attack Submarines were being routed to off the short of the Firehelper beach head in TPF occupied NC. But that was all that was done, as the TSRT-Ns long range Naval Interdiction Aircraft were being tooled up to sink more Vetelian ships.

OOC: Firehelper, Ill begin roleplaying the attacks on your supply ships when you get back. Right now, I am just routing the subs, they have not arrived yet.

Ambush
" Ah FUCK US!" Screamed Jackson, as we watched the lead gun truck slam into some mines, exploding it and sending shrapnel and body parts everywhere. Then, all hell broke loose, as missiles and small arms fire began pounding the convoy. Two hit some supply trucks carrying fuel and ammo, causing a massive explosion. Crisis armored cars also buckled under the missiles. Finally, however, the men were starting to get back on track. Drivers hopped out of their cabs, ready to fire with pistols and PDW's. MP's emerged from Crisis' while the Crisis' 15.5mm machine gun began to fire back. UGCV's also began to emerge, firing at the enemy. Finally, Jackson hooted as his gun truck began firing grenades, and he fired his 12.7mm.

Vetalian Fleet

The missiles closed with the planes, and despite their formation destroyed a total of 1200 of them, nearly the entire plane component of the fleet. A mere 500 planes remained, moving towards the fleet.

"Shit! Another missile strike! 2,000 launches wiped out 900 of our planes, and another 300 were downed but recoverable."
"God damn it...if we close in, we're gonna be destroyed without more forces." The admiral was visible worried, even almost panicked at this latest development. "Order the fleet and the remaining planes to stop closing in and pull back out of range. Ready our anti-missile defenses and keep an eye on the enemy, but otherwise do nothing to them."

The fleet halted its advance and began to pull back, letting the Red Tide forces withdraw while their own fleet fled out of range as quickly as possible. They couldn't afford to lose another 210 ships and now thousands of planes like that, nor could they afford another massive strike against their air support. The remaining planes limped back to the carriers, morale damaged in the face of the enemy strike.

The incoming artillery gave them up, but also gave up TPF positions, 200 Katushas trucks fired there rocket artillery at the incoming artillery, while 100 katushka trucks(25 katushkas each) rockets screamed towards the majority of the enemys camp.

the SOH and TPA began there assault, the SOH from the rear and TPA from the front ( SOH: 30,000 men1,000 technicals TOW/ 50 cal 100 SOL T-62) (TPA: 40,000 men, 700 APCs(BMP-2s) 500 SOL T-62) the vihcled went around the enemys flank.

the incoming munitions killed 4,000 SOH and 10,000 TPA including 60 tanks

The snipers were having a fun time picked off those that ran out from the cars. They were already each assigned to a car and only had to wait for the door to open and people to hop out before shooting. Occasionally someone screamed as one of the mostly unaimed bullets hit home. Soon the second salvo of missiles, launched out to the people, half were loaded with fragmentation round and the other with HEAT warheads to destroy the remaining vehicles.
After this one last salvo the soldiers stopped shooting and a very load voice projected via megaphone rang out.
"Surrender, the objects which you are guarding are destroyed, more bloodshed is unneeded.

OOC: And you also realize that those rockets blew up a large amount of the convoy, and then again you must assume that my people are stupid enough not to call it in by radio, and then you also fail to realize the sheer size of the convoy, which is over two hundred supply trucks, not including their escorts. And I am well aware of the capabilities of the RPG-29.

Ambush
Men groaned and crumpled as snipers' bullets picked them off. The gun trucks sprayed MG and automatic grenades at the enemy, hoping to silence some. Men cursed as another barrage of rockets destroyed more gun truck and Crisis' and supply trucks. Joe cursed as he saw a rocket speed towards him, and that was the last thing he ever did as the truck exploded in a brilliant and loud explosion. Luckily, somebody had a good head on his shoulders. He rallied a squad to flank the enemy to the left, and also called in an airstrike. Four 'Death Dealers' accelerated to maximum speed, where they would soon drop bombs and use their cannons to hopefully save the convoy.

At the Highway
" Incoming Rockets!" the rockets were devastating. Thousands of infantry were killed, and thousands more wounded in the attack. It would have been more, if not for the foxholes and slit trenches that the infantry had dug, and the inherent inaccuracy of the rockets. Even so, nearly a whole brigade was killed or wounded. Guderian cursed at this latest development. Thousands of men dead or wounded. That was to be expected, but it still hurt. And now he had a weak spot on the line. He was about to order a response when the news came.

War is Over!
The Peoples Freedom Times
Yesterday the war in NC officially came to a close with the signing of a cease fire and Armistance. According to the document, TPF will receive 150 miles of land, and the countries will be split by a DMZ. This signals the end of a war and an additional victory over godless communists.

The Third Grand Army, led by Lord General Heinz Guderian will remain on station to fight Vet forces and also ensure no attacks will come from the other side of the DMZ. Guderian is set to receive the Victorious Campaign metal, and is also set to be promoted to Lord-Militant General.

The estimated 15,000 Prisoners of War are also set to be freed , upon promises by the NC government to free TPF POW's.

The causalities for the war officially stand at 8,365 men and women killed in action.

Captain Narok of the SSN-332 peered through his preiscope at the supply ship that he knew belonged to the nation of Firehelpers.

"Generate bearings... Two-Eight-Zero. Load torepedo tubes." He said.

"Torepedo tubes loaded, Aye." The weapons officer said.

"Flood torpedo tubes, open outer doors." The Captain continued.

"Outer doors open, Aye." The weapons officer said.

"Fire all tubes!" Narok said.

"Fire all tubes! Aye! One gone, two gone!" The Weapons officer said.

Narok didnt remove his eyes from the periscope as he watched the two torepedo's speed towards the supply ship.

He knew that there were 20 other TSUNAMIS-Class Submarines operating here, off the cost of Firehelper controlled North Calaveras. Their job was to sink enemy supply ships.

The Open Ocean

The Vetelian reinforcement fleet had been detected seven hours earlier by Red Tidean RADAR Oceanic Reconnassiance Sattelites. Once detected, 750 NI-04 Long Range, Naval INterdiction Aircraft, armed with three CM-1 Anti-Ship Missiles each, along with 50 ACEW Aircraft were scrambled.

"Enemy fleet detected, bearin three-niner-zero. Call it in."

The Vetalian Fleet would undoubtly detect the Red Tidean Airborne RADARs, but it was already too late. The Naval Interdiction Aircraft were closing in. If they could get within 175 kilometers of the Vetelian Fleet, they would be able to release their missiles.

And suddenly OIL spilt everywhere and fishes died.


And then from the skies came the unpowerfull airplanes of The Kingdom of Wartom! They threw knives, maces and swords at your boats, and then flew home again, never to be heard from again.

Following the ceasefire between TPF and NC, the Alversian People's Army will continue to garrison the four refugee camps that have been established in NC and will donate personnel to rebuild your cities, should you require them?

yes we need personall to rebuild, he didnt reach very far into my country, so you may send them to our other cities, we will make camps for them. and you may place a army in our country.

The troops will stay within 200m of the Refugee camps unless called out for good reason. We can send 5,000 personnel of various professions to help you rebuild. And a regiment of 500 Soldiers to protect them.

The troops of Lord Sumguy stationed in North Calveras will stay there and help rebuild the nation.

Just as the order to turn about came sonar detected numerous torpedoes heading to the ship. Soon the anti torpedo/ mine CWIS began to fire. They shot supercativating bullets that would retain their speed and trajectory in water. Soon explosions titled the boat as it began to turn. All they could do was was wait for the planes that the second fleet, which had just left port, would send out.

The soldiers had received the order to withdraw, but at the moment it was impossible as there were troops on both sides of the road. Already 1/4th of the men had failed to the counter assault that was laid down by the defending convoy. reinforcements were already on the way, sixty men were already on the way and a single artillery piece began manged off somewhere in the distance. Soon two others joined it. They were late in leaving and were ordered to respond to the struggling ambush.
At the ambush site shells screamed in These shells were GPS guided to ensure the safety of friendly troops. Hopefully soon the forces would be able to withdraw.
The Six fighters, launched from a relatively close position would soon arrive at the battle to combat the approaching strike fighters or light bombers.

En Route to North Calaveras

Unfortunately for the Vetalian fleet, their observation satellites were still badly damaged and were only able to detect the last of the RADAR satellites as they made a sweep of the enemy fleet. Were they equally as equipped as the first SEACOMs dispatched to North Calaveras, it would have likely spelled disaster, but ever since the massacre at the hands of Red Tide, the navy had sworn to prepare for such contingencies within the fleet itself while the SAC worked as fast as possible to restore obsat systems damaged in the initial missile strike.

To this end, the navy had outfitted the reinforcement fleet and other active SEACOMs with new Ticonderoga-class cruisers, which were equipped with the AN/SPS-49 radar system. With a range of over 450km, they were able to see the planes as they moved towards the fleet even without the air

Anti-missile defenses were readied and 1,000 planes from the fleet's carrier component took to the skies and moved in to engage the enemy planes once they were within range of the fleet's anti-aircraft and missile defenses. Once the planes were within 185km, the Zumwalt missile destroyers would launch a salvo of 720 RIM-67C SM-2ER missiles at the incoming planes. If the enemy made it within that range, a further salvo of 600 RIM-67C SM-2ER would be launched at them, and lastly if they were able to close within 85km, the ships would launch their complements of older RIM-67A SM-1ER missiles.

A total of 1,000 planes and 1,920 missiles, half the fleet's total missile outfit, were readied to be unloaded once the planes were within the 185km range.

OOC: I don't know if your OOC comment was targeted toward me NC, but if it was, my RP had nothing to do with your country or your countries religious or ethnic background. Lorkhan's majority population follows a cross between Greek and Norse faith, and therefore they think little of either of the Abrahamic religions and will look down their nose at their followers at any given oppertunity.

OOC: Just a quick question, Vetelia, are your missiles EMP hardened?

OOC: The modified RIM-67C SM-2ERs are, but it's not foolproof. The shorter range RIM-66s are not because it would make them too heavy and would cripple their range and speed even beyond their currently limited range.

For reference, most of our planes have only limited EMP shielding on some critical components, but navigation and targeting systems would have varying degrees of vulnerability to these weapons. An EMP strike against our planes would cripple their navigation and targeting systems, but they wouldn't crash.

NC, we would like to send 100 doctors to help the victims.

IC: As the enemy planes came in, a invisible, if powerful, projected beam of electromagnetic energy shot out of the RADAR dishes of the ACEW craft. Any unshielded electronics instantly found themselves fried, while partially shielded electronics ranjed from rather damaged to unaffected, depending on the amount of shielding. Fuly protected electronics found themselves unharmed.

The hoard of NI-04 aircraft spread out, to maximize the effect of their cruise missiles, as they hit the 200 kilometer mark. They still had 25 kilometers to go before they could release their missiles. This made them less vulnerable to missiles taking out more then one of them, but more vulnerable to any fighters that tried to do a gunrun on them, as they couldnt support each other with their 30mm autocannons as well.

When they reached 190 kilometers, the missile carrying planes dove under a thousand feet, while the ACEW crafts held back. Then at 185 kilometers, a large amount of surface-air missiles were detected launching from the Vetelian fleet. The aircrew didnt panic when the Electromagnetic beams from the ACEW craft failed to make them go dumb, they simply decided to launch at maximum range.

The NI-04s closed to 175 kilometers before the enemy SAMs hit them. From each of the wings of the 750 missile armed planes dropped two CM-1 Anti-Ship Missiles. Carrying a 400 kilogram warhead, the CM-1 was meant more for more lightly armored targets then the powerful CM-4s. They could take out a aircraft carrier or battlecruiser in a single blow, maybe even a small battleship if lucky, but anything bigger would require more missiles.

Another difference from the CM-4 and the CM-1 was height. While the CM-4 was meant to fly over enemy SAMs and CIWS, the CM-1 were sea skimmers, flying only about 50 feet over the water at mach-2.7. Their terminal speed when they hit their targets was mach 3. They were guided by built in RADARs, with backup LADARs in case jamming got too heavy, all the way to their target. Anyways, two missile fell away from under each planes wings, activated, and were sent screaming towards their target. Over 1,500 missiles were now screaming towards the enemy fleet.

Then, about three seconds after the two missiles under the wings cleared their pylons, the bomb bays of the missile carrying planes fell open and released a second wave of CM-1s, this time one per bomber. 750 missiles screamed towards the enemy fleet. The bombers climbed and turned away, as the 2,250 CM-1 missiles slid past the inbound 1,200 AIM-67C missiles on their way to shoot down the fleeing naval interdiction craft. The AIM-67Cs were 25 kilometers from reaching their targets when the ACEWs activated their powerful jammers.

A huge mass of jamming filled their seeker heads, and as they tried to compensate... chaff began to fall away from the bombers they were supposed to intercept. A good number of SAMs were decoyed away or got lost in the cloud of jamming. But a good number found their targets. 284 NI-04 Naval Interdiction Aircraft and a ACEW craft were blown out of the sky. of course, the Vetelians wouldnt know how many died, because Red Tide had plenty of reserve planes sitting in storage and their RADARs wouldnt be able to see through the jamming at that distance. The surviving planes fleed back under a massive cloud of jamming and chaff.

By the time the jammers activated, the CM-1s had closed to within 100 kiloemters of the Vetelian fleet, and were thus unaffected by the Red Tidean jamming.

Vetalian Fleet, en route to North Calaveras

The EMP pulse devastated the electronic components of 766 planes, forcing them to immediately halt their advance and attempt to retreat without targeting or navigation. The remaining 234 planes, consisting entirely of the newest F/A-18E Super Hornets that were both at the edge of the blast radius and equipped with stronger EMP shielding than the other models in service, immediately regrouped and moved in to intercept the fighters. The loss of the other classes of aircraft crippled their military response and forced them to rely on the capabilities of the F-18s in the face of the enemy strike. It was too late to try and intercept the NI-04s' attack run, but the fighters tried instead to catch them as they reorganized after the strike. They unloaded two AIM-9 Sidewinders each at close range, a total of 668 missiles, and then pulled back to use their AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles on the enemy NI-04s.

The battleships, upon detecting the enemy planes and fully aware of the Red Tide's previous emphasis on missile strikes, began to activate their own countermeasures against the enemy. The ships' jammers were activated and the anti-missile decoy systems were launched from the battleships to interdict the incoming CW-1 missiles, but they were not able to stop more than 15% of them due to the enemy use of LADAR systems. Instead, they relied on their RIM-116 airframe missiles to intercept as much of the incoming enemy fire as possible. However, the RIM-116s only had a range of 7.5km, and their similar speed compared to the CW-1s reduced their ability to intercept the enemy before contact, but nonetheless were capable of intercepting a solid number of them as they approached the fleet. These defenses were capable of stopping another 30% of the enemy missiles, but were not enough to halt the strike. With only a short distance until impact, the fleet turned to its reserve defenses in the form of its Zumwalt and Daring-class destroyers.

The Zumwalt relied on their own RIM-116 systems as well as their CIWS anti-missile defenses, and the Daring-class air defense destroyers used their own countermeasures to distract incoming missiles as well as unload on them with their SYLVER missiles and Phalanx CIWS. These close range weapons proved to be somewhat successful and were able to stop all but 500 of the remaining missiles, which impacted in to the fleet with devastating effect.

All in all, 500 of the missiles ended up successfully hitting their targets, destroying, sinking or crippling beyond recovery a total of 109 ships and damaging 97 more, including all but one of the 10 supercarriers. Unlike the CW-4 strike, many of the ships were able to evacuate some of their personnel and losses were not as severe. The remaining 4 ships that were undamaged, consisting of a single supercarrier and three Daring-class destroyers, frantically radioed for help from reinforcements en route to North Calaveras and began preparations to withdraw from the area as quickly as possible. However, those reinforcements were still hours away and would likely not be able to reach them in time. The Vetalian fleet tried to rescue as many people as possible while the damaged ships slowly began to pull back towards the other fleet stationed a few hundred kilometers away, off of the coast of North Calaveras.

The 97 damaged, but still capable of moving, and 4 undamaged ships began to fall back, with the 234 remaining F-18Es providing as much air cover as possible. The fleet tried to leave nothing but the devastated and smoking ruins of 109 ships and at least 200,000 losses. Although there were shipyards to repair their fleet in North Calaveras, the damage was so extensive that many of these ships would likely take a year to be fully restored.
