Official Announcement of the Department of Education

As part of the aftermath of the Doomani-Allanean war, we are proud to announce that Congress has approved overwhelmingly the issuing of the Congressional Medal of Honor to Senior Wing Scout Priscilla Conde (17) and the Executive branch has awarded the Liberty Star, First Class, to Nina Smith (16.5).

Priscilla Conde participated in the Wing Scout and Air Force combined aerial attack on the Aswan dam. According to witness statements and onboard records, it was a torpedo launched from her A1 Skyraider (Wing number 456B) that had first impacted a key point on the Dam, causing a catastrophic collapse, the death of millions of Doomani military personnel, and the destruction of several Doomani airbases and the entire economy of Province Aegypt. She is the youngest Allanean to ever carry out a strategic bombing mission.

Nina Smith, acting as part of the Wing Scout Operation Mallet, has delivered the torpedo that has sunk a Whyatican aircraft carrier at the beginning of the war, and is the youngest Allanean to ever cause a carrier kill.

Due to minimal losses (no aircraft were lost in the raid on the Aswan Dam, for example), the Department of Education considers the first, experimental use of Wing Scouts in the war a great success. However in the future they will be relegated almost completely to education of future pilots.

From: The Avisronite Department of State

The Libertarian Federation of Avisron congratulates the achievements of both Priscilla Conde and Nina Smith. Because of the success the Wing Scouts program obviously had the LFA's Department of Education is highly considering negotiating with several private schooling systems to incorporate a similar program into their future plans.

Again, congratulations to both of the young people, and to the Allanean people themselves.

OOC:

I'll bet they sell cookies by the crate. Nobody dares send them away empty-handed.

IC:

Her Majesty's Government wishes to congratulate both of these young ladies. It takes courage to fight, especially if you are so young, and these two have not only survived, they have excelled.

The Triumvirate Council of the Revolutionary Government of the Glorious Republic of Leafanistan

On behalf of all the freemen, women and children in the world, and on behalf of every citizen in the Glorious Republic we award the Gold Hammer and Anvil medal, the highest civilian honor we can bestow upon a foreign freewoman. We also award the honorary Colonel Rank in the Glorious Republican Air and Space Force to Priscilla Conde of Allanea.

And on behalf of all those mentioned, we award the Silver Sickle and the honorary rank of Colonel in the Glorious Republican Air and Space Force to Nina Smith of Allanea.

OOC: Bump your Demented Schooling thread. This is probably the best evidence that this program creates heroes. Membership in Leafanistan in these types of Martial Private Schools will skyrocket once news of these awards and honors have found their way to 'mere girl scouts'.

Also, I'll probably try to build a version of this to get on the old school weapons rebirth. I do offer a few of them, but I think I can probably make an upgrade for the engine and add a few tricks of my own.

OOC:

Well, techically in Allanea proper the government provides a lot of the Boy Scouts training, if not most of it. HOWEVER that said Demented Schooling is your best way to get youngsters raised like that.

I'm sure somebody will shout a little about it eventually. Having said that, I need to find my good earplugs.

OOC: Possibly because I've already spoken to you about implementing about 100,000 aircraft in the DoE and 40,000 more in the real army?

The Empire of Charall XIII, while admiring them for there courage has but one question to ask. Was it these Girl Scouts free action to be Combat Machines? Or was it a forced Government Action?
