Population: 3.8 million
Head of State: Çomo Bashkim
Government: Fanatical, Stalinist, Communist state
Capital City: Tirané (Tirana)

Alignment: left Warsaw Pact in 1968, aligned with China, Split with China in 1978, Declared it would become socialist Paradise on its own in 1981.

Current Alignment = None, completely Nuetral BUT things can change

The Start (1944-1957):

Communist rebels led by Enver Hoxha booted out the italians and germans at the end of the 2nd world war. Enver set up a provisional govt where people suspected of colloaborating with the enemy was executed. by 1946 the communist were fully entreanched and Albania was declared a peoples Republic. in 1948 Albania followed the USSR and denounced Tito as a revisionist and Crypto Capitalist and purged titoists from the party.

The Split with USSR and eventually their split with China (1958-1977):

Hoxha fell out with Stalins successor, Khruschev and aligned Albania with Mao's communist China. Albania officially left the Warsaw pact in 1968 and all soviet technicians working in Albania were sent out and Soviet Aid stopped arriving in the country. Albania became China's only ally in Europe. Then came Mao's Reapproachment with the USA and nixons visit to china. This strained relations and when Mao died, China cut aid and eventually relations were severed.

Going it alone (1978-1985):

Albania was a very isolated corner of the world and trade and relations was very restricted. Enver Hoxha declared Albania to become a socialist Paradise on its own. Enver Hoxha died and was replaced by Ramiz Alia.

Challenge to the Party (1986-1991):

with the economic stagnation in Europe, Ramiz Alia bowed to pressures telling him to look at the international standards of human rights, Which albania was very behind. Ramiz Alia allowed limited economic reforms folowed by some political reforms such as a limited free news paper and some pluralism in the government. by 1989 the communist states in europe survived and no revolutions took place. The party took a big sigh of relief as they had been anticipating a revolution. However the reforms Alia introduced gave the Albanians an expectation of more freedom and strikes, demonstrations and protests plagued the nation through late 1990-early 1991. In July Hardliners staged a coup and eliminated the reforms, imposed martial law and deposed Ramiz Alia and expelled him from the country.

The Return to isolationism and re-stalinization (1991-2007):

Çomo Bashkim established himself as the new leader by October 1991 and he bacame the President of Albania, head of the Communist Party and minister of foriegn affairs. all opposition was crushed the reforms were denounced and propaganda was expanded to demonise all of Albania's neighbors

Italy = for its invasion and attrocieties during 1939-1944
Yugoslavia = for betraying Stalin and its relaxed brand of communism
Greece = because greeks in southern Albania were being prosecuted
USSR = for betraying stalin and its policies
China = for its betrayal of Stalin
ect

in 2006 Çomo handed the post as minister of foriegn affairs to a loyal party member but he still had a tight grip on the nation and Albania's economy continues to grow at a snails pace, the borders have been sealed since 1946 and living standards are still low.
Last year in 2006 Albania celebrated 60 years under communist rule and Çomo celebrated his 56th birthday.

If any nation shares our views and helps us in denouncing the revisionists and titoists contact us about establishing diplomatic relations.

After the Albanian offer for mutual recognition from Yugoslavia was refused Albania realized just how lonely it really was. The most senior party members that were actually frightnened that if an invasion ever happened no one would care!
The communist party paniced and now our most senior members are now putting tough pressure on President Çomo Bashkim to end the isolationism and eliminate the harsh propaganda campaign against Albania's enemies.
This was at extreme risk to themselves as any deviation from the Party's Stalinist line could get them labled a Revisionist or a Titoist and they could get executed but as most of the party agreed that continued isolationism could bring an invasion with no friends to help out and so Çomo Bashkim folded to the pressure.
The strongest supporter of an end to isolationism and a beginning to a more friendly and relaxed brand of communism was Liri Paçrami. He was Minister of Health and had been a member of the party since 1985. He is now 47 years old.
