CW '07 Sales and Market Thread (CW '07 Only!)

Amazonian Beasts
28-05-2007, 19:54
Notice: If you intend on selling finished products, natural resources, military wares, etc., please make a list of said products (if you could categorize such list, that would go a long way to helping us all), and please make a post of it here. I will update the list that has all nations selling stuff and their respective products beneath it.

This thread is intended to maximize efficiency with selling and purchasing resources, products, wares, supplies, and other purchasable material. In a purchasing post, please indicate to which nation you are purchasing from (or, if it's a purchasing question, where you ask for a product type, and other nations sell their ideas and products to you-in which case, make sure you specify so), what you're intending on buying, and of how much.

Also, if you intend to have sales on products/etc., please make a post of this (also, please make a post when such sale ends) and I will add it to your list of goods.

Also, if your goods are restricted to a nation (or nations, or alliance), please indicate so (either with a parentheses and name of the group, or an asterisk and footnote). Obviously, I recommend that you don't sell your entire warddrobe of stuff, unless you're nuts, to keep your nation above others in areas (whether that's military, tech, agriculture, etc.)

Here's my list, but I will add other nations to it as soon as others post their lists.

-CANDU Nuclear Reator *

*The CANDU reactor is a Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor developed initially in the late 1950s and 1960s by a partnership between Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. and Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario. The acronym "CANDU", a registered trademark of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, stands for "CANada Deuterium Uranium". This is a reference to its deuterium-oxide (heavy water) moderator and its use of natural uranium fuel. All current power reactors in Canada are of the CANDU type.

Any tampering or abuse with the CANDU Reators will lead to the cease of trade with the reator and possible military or economic sanctions. Should it be discovered that the origin of any nuclear weapon comes from the plutonium, tritium, or any other substance of the CANDU Reators, military action will be taken.

Current nations barred from purchasing the CANDU Reators are:
India: Abuse of the CIRUS Research Reator in order to create a nuclear weapon in 1974 (Operation Smiling Buddha). Suspected use of heavy water and tritium for nuclear tests in 1998 from CANDU Reators (Operation Shakti)
The Canadian Government has laid strict policy regarding the trades between nations which threaten the intrest of Canadian both doemestically and abroad and holds the right to refuse service to anyone we deem as unfit for trade. Ally or enemy.

Who would like to sell me Uranium? Plus any thing else you need for a reactor? This is to any one.

Anyone who sells these guys Uranium to start there nuclear program with there current views against both the US and the USSR and there alliances as a whole would be putting themselves in a very bad situation with probably both NATO and, though I can't speak for them, the Warsaw Pact. I'm not trying to be too harsh on you Mussle, but it's not like ICly were gonna want you with nuclear weapons if you suddenly say you don't want peace with us.

Nuclear Reators
CANDU Nuclear Reator
The CANDU reactor is a Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor developed initially in the late 1950s and 1960s by a partnership between Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. and Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario. Currently, Canada has marketed over 20 different CANDU reators overseas in South Korea, India, Pakistan, Romania, Argentina and China.

Encrypted Response to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

We do like the promise of much Soviet equipment-in particular, the arenas of aviation and maritime, where Japan is struggling to rebuild, though does have some somewhat long-term goals progressing. Though we look to the Warsaw Pact member France for our short-term carrier needs (as Japan is looking to advance to become more of a stable force in East Asia to prevent conflict amongst the Asian Rim nations-particularly with NATO member South Korea on the doorstep, and with NATO member Britain's unstable actions), the Sovremenny-class destroyer in particular intrigues the Imperial Republic.
The USSR has seven Sovremenny-class ships currently out-of-service, and therefore of little use to the USSR. Much as Japan severely improved the F-16D design into the more advanced Mitsubishi F-2, the Imperial Republic believes it could do a similar job to upgrade these decommisioned destroyers. We would like to request the purchase of one vessel, stripped down of electronics systems (which homegrown Japanese companies would likely replace with equipment more familiar to Japanese naval crews). The IRJ is not settled on a number to purchase if cleared yet, but interest is certainly up on both the Sovremenny and the Slava-class cruiser.

As well, as the IRJ is looking to discharge its severely-outdated F-4 Phantoms to South Korea (they are far below even the standards of the Mitsubishi F-1, let alone the F-2), the IRJ would like to inquire as to the price of both the Su-35 Flanker E fighter/strike fighter and the Tu-160 Blackjack bomber.

Addressed to the United Kingdom of South Korea

The IRJ has recently heard of the United Kingdom of South Korea's purchase of F-4 Phatom units from the United States. Japan has a good deal of these units still in excellent condition due to their use as a strike platform before the introduction of the Mitsubishi F-2. In the air of strengthening East-Asian interests and making the Asian Pacific Rim a tighter community, we would like to know if the United Kingdom would be interested in purchasing any Japanese F-4G (91 units avaliable) or RF-4E (27 avaliable) units.

OOC: Production cost for a new Phantom is $2.4 mil, so I'll probaly go a little higher for a used version (in retrogard, I'd go considerably higher if they were new). Say, probaly $2.75 mil for the F-4Gs and $2.81 mil for the RF-4Es.

IC:

Return Address to the United Kingdom of South Korea

The Japanese price for the F-4Gs-still in excellent condition due to superior maintenence by Japanese air crews-is $2.75 million per unit, a price that is not far away from production cost. The price for the advanced RF-4E units is $2.81 million a plane.
The overall price for the purchase would be $250 million for the 91 F-4G units (with a bulk purchase saving of $250,000) and $75 million for the 27 RF-4E units (with a bulk purchase saving of $870,000), for a total price of $325 million for the combined 118 units. It is an excellent price for so many of a capable combat unit that has proven its success many times in active combat, and a group that has been maintained in excellent condition in Japan.

With the needs of the Libyan army being addressed, the Japanese department of the Military can assist in needs 3 and 5 of the Libyan forces. As for a reliable, yet cost-efficient replacement for the Mig-21, the Mitsubishi F-1 is a fast, capable, and reliable aircraft that can easily withstand the climate of Africa and the Mediterranean. Built from the original Sepecat Jaguar bed, the Mitsubishi F-1 is parrallel to some Fourth-generation strike aircraft, and is capable of fitting all sorts of modern ordinance. As a close-support weapon, the F-1 is capable of outright slaughtering armor and infantry, and can also be fitted with air-to-air ordinance in the event of aerial attack. More than anything, the F-1 is a reliable aircraft that will stick around as operational for a long period of time and satisfy the Libyan needs as long as they need.

As for contractors, the Shimzu corporation, a noteable electronics, architectural, and construction contracting company based in Japan would be honored to have the opportunity to work in Libya in designing and building a chemical and munitions plant.

We would certainly be interested in providing you with all of your aviation and maritime needs. So long as you are purchasing from a Warsaw Pact member, comrade, I have no problems with it. A Sovremenny-class cruiser can certainly be made ready for you, and the price for the Su-35 is thirty-five million U.S. Dollars. The price could be made lower, however, if you feel that that is too high. As for the White Swan, (Tu-160) we would be prepared to offer it to you at a bargain for seventeen million U.S. Dollars.

United States Announcement to Neutral Nations

If you are a neutral country who wishes to be a trustworthy friend of the US in order to buy weapons, please fill out this form:

1) How would you describe your nation's government and what is it?
2) What are your views of the United States, socially, economically, military wise and politically?
3) The same above but with NATO?
4) Would you class yourself as a friend to the USA?
5) Are you pro-NATO, pro-Warsaw or plain neutral?
6) What size is your military, and, roughly - on a scale of 1-5 - what would you rate your military power and technology?

Once your answer these question please state what you would like and to what amount and you will be reviewed*. If your review is successful your order will go through and purchases in the future could happen.

*Reviewing can take between two days to 25 years before a response is made.

OOC: If your reviewing time takes 25 years...hehe...

America, in a state of boredom, over the next half hour will be open (not all offers will be accepted) for offers on all decommissioned aircraft and weapons. If you are neutral, please answer the questionarre.

This will start with the sale of 20 F-111's for the price of $14 billion to South Korea for second hand usage. However, in a brief and probably never to be repeated moment of kindness - one fighter jet was thrown in free.

Though we are looking to make an international purchase auction of the naval and fighter needs, we did want to see the willingness of a sale of the indicated units, and the positive response was certainly a good indicator on the effective military units of the Soviet Union.
However, the price of the Tu-160 is simply too good to pass up on, especially as Japan lacks a true dedicated strategic bomber advancing into this age of long-range warfare. If the USSR has such avaliable, the IRJ would be very interested in purchasing 18 of these bombers, on a supply scale that would best suit the USSR.

IC:

Addressed to the Nations of the Global Community

The Imperial Republic of Japan is looking for several military products in particular to bolster its military wares as the IRJ looks to enter a new period of military supplies. Some projects are already underway-including possibilities for a collaborative Asian aircraft project-but in the meantime, Japan can not be left without proper defense-and though the IRJ self defense force is adequate, it could be considerably better for a nation with Japan's avaliable finances and budget, as well as economic standings. It is with this in mind as the IRJ presents a list of what the IRJ is looking for:

1) An aircraft carrier. The IRJ can understand if this is not an easy need to meet, but with more of an international approach, the IRJ can not be caught without a strategic maritime ability. Some nations across the globe have carriers in drydock simply awaiting decommission, and the Imperial Republic would certainly be interested. Why not make some money off of their hulls?

2) A cruiser or strong destroyer line. Whether a cruiser or very capable destroyer is not of the matter, but the IRJ needs a capable supplement to the line of heavy Japanese homegrown destroyers to round out the fighting naval formation and keep as a sturdy point for years to come in the JMSDF.

3) A dedicated superiority fighter. Though the IRJ utilizes the very successful Mitsubishi F-2, the JASDF is looking for a set-in with more capability while...cooperative projects...ensue in the arena of air superiority. The F-15J is more of a multi-role craft and less of a superiority fighter, leaving the JASDF only with the F-2. On an island nation, it is imperative for the JSDF to have suitable aerial capability to combat threats, along with naval assets.

4) A sturdy corvette or frigate (Optional-looking around). Though this is not a total key for the JMSDF, a fast corvette or patrol craft/PCFG would allo rapid defense of Japanese islands and be able to quickly analyze and repulse threats. This could also be done with a light, quick frigate. The JMSDF would like to iterate that it is not looking for a heavy frigate loaded to the brim, but more of a fast-action craft.

Although we do operate a Aircraft Carrier, the Sao Paulo, we do not manufacture them. We are willing to let you study the ship as it is in good condition and could be of use to the Japanese Navy should they decide to Domestically Design a Carrier.

Brazil also doesn't operate Cruisers or Destroyers, but we do Operate Frigates, but they are just modernized and are not what you are looking for.

What Brazil does have to offer is in the form of a Corvette. The Inhaúma Class is the pre-eminent Corvette in the Brazilian Navy and it is very flexible. We could help you produce a couple as we are only just beginning to build 4 more to complement our original 4. The price per Corvette is 750 Million USD, but we are willing to lower it to 700 Million USD if you would allow us to purchase some F-2s if the American's don't sell us the F-15s. What do you say?

The Libyan Army, with its newly granted $12 billion three-year refitting and upgrading grant, is now looking for the following things:

1. An updated assault rifle for its Commando infantry to replace the AKM and AK-74. We are looking at the Yugoslavian Zastava M21, South African R4, and the Soviet AK-107/08 in particular.

2. South African Modernization of the remaining unmodernized Mil Mi24's and Mi-8's, as well as a new gunship to add to our air force.

3. A new ground attack plane to replacce some of our MiG-21bis Fishbeds.

4. Ten more T-90 Main Battle Tanks from the USSR to supplement our existing T-90 force.

5. Ten MRLS luanchers.

6. Assistance from foriegn contractors in the construction of a munitions and chemical manufacturing plant outside of Tripoli.

Our Budget is $12 billion, and the cost would be paid over three years as per the requirements by the Colonel's gov't.

Some specific nations were mentioned, but we are open to all offers.
