MURASHI: Welocme to NHK World News on May 28, 2007, I'm Kimiko Murashi.

<NHK Opening Animitronics Run>

MURASHI: Many things happening across Japan today, let's get right into the news. The biggest event today to strike Japan came in a national referendum put up by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The referendum came in regard to Article 9 in the constitution, regarding wartime capabilities of the Japanese self-defense force. The referendum was general, simply posing the question of whether the issue of voiding the article could be put to the House of Councilars. The vote came back with a 53% positive result, and in three weeks the issue shall come to vote in the House of Councilars.

MURASHI: Moving on, international events have risen in prominence recently. Let's go to our NHK reporter Taida Ariko in Tokyo:

ARIKO: Indeed it has, Kimiko. A surge in foreign communications, as well as the refurbishing and renovation of the entire diplomatic sector of Tokyo has been underway as of recent. The entire ambassadorial sector has been renovated in preparation for an entirely new group of ambassadors from over twelve countries looking to set up shop in Tokyo for improving relations with Japan. Additionally, relations have begun to go extremely well with the USSR, despite little positive contact between Japan and the USSR for over twenty years. A diplomatic pact of conditional non-aggression was recently signed by a USSR official and Minister of Foreign Affairs Taro Aso, described as the Moscow-Tokyo treaty. That's a wrap on foreign affairs, back to you Kimiko.

MURASHI: Thanks, Taida. We'll go to commercial break, then come back with weather and sports.

<NHK Animitronics Run as News comes Back from commercial break.>

MURASHI: We're back, and another looming event on Japan is the recent wet whether that has plagued Hokkaido. Reporter Daisuke Buresuko is in Sapporo with more.

BURESUKO: Wet weather and rain has been all over the north, especially here in Sapporo, where two flood watches have been issued in the last three days. A cold front has stalled over Hokkaido and continues to bring sheets of rain, as you can probaly see behind me. Streets and gutters are filling up rapidly, as sanitation departments struggle to clean up and power plants are working overdrive to keep electricity stable. Kimiko, the situation doesn't look to end any time soon.

MURASHI: Hope it gets better for everyone up there, Daisuke. Meanwhile, in Kobe yesterday, the Yokohama Bay Stars made quite a comeback-Wakasuma Keko is at Koshien Stadium.

KEKO: It was a great game, Kimiko. Hanshin came out to an early lead in the first two innings, rallying forward to a 4-0 take ahead of Yokohama. But Tatsuhiko Kinjoh came back with his slugging arm, rallying off two walk-off home runs and a grand slam in the 7th inning. At the bottom of the ninth, Hanshin was down 7-6, and former Yankee Andy Sheets was up for Hanshin. However, he hit a line drive right to third, and Yokohama took the double play for the game and the win.

MURASHI: Thanks, Wakasuma. We'll be back in a minute with news from Science and Technology.

I, citizen of the great nation of Nicaragua, James E. Manuel, wish to send you several photographs and tell you the story of recent happenings in my glorious home. Firstly, we engaged in an expected month-long wargame with the Honduran military. We opened up with a massive air campaign against the Honduran's armoured and mechanized units, that disabled twenty-three percent of them.

The following are the scenes of many a tank crew:
http://www2.seasite.niu.edu/PicDB/Camb/00491.jpg

With this we moved to capture many of their cities, as they launched numerous half-way successful counter-attacks. Due to my nation's army strength and training we were able to take back all five major cities, even pushing back a large counter attack that could have pushed us back into Nicaragua. These events lasted only three days.

Also, on a more economical and diplomatic note we have established Embassies in South Africa and the USSR, which they have also put embassies in our own country. Along with our national GDP being pushed up to a hundred ninety-four billion due to some economical gains in recent weeks. A bill may also be enacted which would increase the military spending budget up to nineteen percent from its seventeen percent as of now.

Signed,
James E. Manuel

Breaking News: Prime Minister Openly Refuses Any Warsaw Pact Embassy in the UK

The Prime Minister today gave an open message to the world, proclaiming the openness of the new British Government to Embassies from all over the world.

The speech, however, did lack one major feature: the Prime Minister explicitly expressed that Warsaw Pact nations were not permitted.

The speech, in which he expressed concern for West Germany's position in what is expected to deemed "Communist Europe".

In other news, Head of The Admiralty Richard Bryer announced today that construction would begin on the first of the CVF generation of Queen Elizabeth Class Carriers. The project had been brought forward several years, to "ensure that Great Britain is adept and capable of defending herself no matter what the situation."

Finally, Royal Engineers today began work on the demolition of the Channel Tunnel. The tunnel, opened in 1994, was at the time the pinnacle of Anglo-French relations, which rapidly deteriorated in the wake of the 2000 revolution. With such a vehemently anti-British government, it was felt that the time was right to cut off the French from any attempts at espionage.

Previous to now, all passengers were subject to a full body search upon exiting the train, however, all traffic from France has now been redirected to British Airports.

South African President Melisizwe Sisulu Denounces the Congo in wake of announcement regarding elections.

The leader of South Africa vehemently denounced the Congo today for what he refers to as "Bowing to the Anglos". Polls show that public opinion in the fascist nation of South Africa is leaning heavily against the Congo in recent weeks, and many in the region consider such a move a show of weakness the Congo cannot afford to make. In Johannesburg, the feeling is one of unease, as the populous waits with baited breath, wondering what will happen next.

The Prime Minister, following an announcement for elections to take place in Congo, has declared that it is "a great victory for peace and for democracy. If such a nation can change its ways, then surely such a thing is possible in nations across the globe, that they might allow their peoples a free and just say in the running of their country."

He further went on to provoke Anglo-South African relations by claiming that they "purposefully stood in the way of world peace, and such actions as theirs would be swiftly denounced by the international community at large."

President Kablia Strikes back at Comment said by South Africa

The President of Congo says that comment made by President Melisizwe Sisulu was clearly reckless and out of point. "He is barely pointing againist our elections due to seagulls." said the President. That comment will not only promote Democracy in Africa but weaken South Africa's Politcal Status. "So what if they get to host the World cup in 2010, that will only be a temporal boost before their immidiate downfall.

Hello, I'm Nick Carter, and welcome to NBC News.

Later tonight we have a performance by American Idol winner Liza McDoddley who will be showing off her singing talents to the millions watching by singing a repetitive boring overly emotional song infront of a video montage of her journey to winner of American Idol - won't that be great!

But now we have an interview with our Current Affairs Reporter, Michael Hudson, on the latest news from America and the world.

--------------------------------------------------------

Hello, Michael - now, we've heard about a sale of quite a large amount of equipment to South Korea in the past week. The United States has become infamous around the international world for rarely selling it's equipment - why do you like they supplied the Koreans with this?

Michael: The United States have never really opened up there supplies – but I think when France changed from Democratic to Communist it opened up there eyes – this Cold War had the potential to be hot. Therefore they are now in the process of supplying trustworthy and NATO nations with weapons – so they can side with them if anything happens, and so they are equipped to at least some way of the US standards.

http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/2558/41872884congoelecbodytu3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

It's always about the Communists! Now, recently we have all heard about the tiff between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the fascist state in South Africa, with Britain even getting a word in too. It's all over the democratic elections in Congo. The government has refused to comment on the situation - why do you think that is?

Michael: If I'm honest it’s because the government has more important issues to deal with currently. Of course it supports democracy, and is not too fond of fascism, but it is unlikely to make a stance as it's too caught up in it's own affairs right now. Anyway, as long as they are not part of the Warsaw Pact, the US is happy *laughs*.

Finally, there has been a recent surge in US troops numbers - and it's believed that soon the total forces are edging closer to the 3.5 million mark! Is it good for the US to have an military this big?

Michael: Sure is - because the US can afford it really. They have the money to do so, though if it expands much bigger it could become overstretched - so it's likely they will stop there ad campaigns soon. The government will want to have troops all over the world, and to have a large army, to protect NATO from all threats.

Thank you Michael and now onto to that performance...

MEDAN, SUMATERA UTARA, INDONESIA

A red and white Maybach 57 rolled down the streets of Medan. In the streets of the city, you were more likely to find bikes, motorcycles, auto rickshaws, or cars that just weren't that nice, so people stared at the German luxury car as it went by.

Malik Ahmad Qusay, Vice Chairman of the People's National Assembly, was the car's passenger. He sat in the back, rolling a cheap cigarette between his fingers, contemplating whether or not to sate the very angry nicotine receptors of his brain and undo three months of cold turkey abstinence from smoking.

Malik didn't like the Maybach. Oh, yes, it was nice, shiny, and comfortable, that was exactly how Cahaya had found it when they trashed Wira Dian's palace in Bandar Lampung back in January of 2004, along with seven Lamborghini Gallardos (a different color for every day of the week), twelve Rolls-Royce Phantoms, and 365 sex slaves from all corners of the world (on top of Wira's fifteen wives, Malik remembered thinking). The government had sold some of the cars, but this particular one was still with them. It was so...bourgeoisie. Not something a member of the world's one true government of the proletariat should be riding in.

He had just finished speaking at an event in Medan, and they were now heading to the airport to fly back to Jakarta. The driver was a Papuan immigrant, and didn't speak good Indonesian. And, of the little Papuan Malik spoke, it must have been the wrong dialect, because the guy couldn't understand it when he tried to speak it to him.

"Hey, comrade, you passed our terminal," he said to the driver as he, indeed, passed Terminal A.

"Sorry, Mister," he replied.

"Please. I am no better than you. We are all comrades," Malik said, "Just turn around here and..."

BOOM!

Indonesian State News, June 17, 2007

Today, Polonia International Airport was bombed by a terrorist organization attempting to undo our Revolution. This ruthless attack on the Indonesian people has killed 157 and injured 250 more.

The intended target was believed to be Comrade Malik bin Ahmad Qusay, Vice Chairman of our People's National Assembly, who was flying back to Jakarta after addressing the Sumatera Udara Democratic Youth in Medan. Thanks to the quick thinking of his driver, Comrade Malik was unharmed.

"This is but another example of how counter-revolutionary and capitalist forces are ruthless and uncaring towards our people," Comrade President Kusuma stated at a press conference in Jakarta, "But we will not succumb! Our revolution will continue!"

No group has claimed responsibility for the act, but the Bureau of Public Security believes that it is most likely either Islamist-Fascist group Jemaah Islamiah or a group with links to Wira bin Dian and his Wira Dian Great National Salvation Party.

Bonifacio: Good morning, Italiana, and what a morning it is. In local news, President Napolitano has decided that the cloning research proposal that was introduced last week has approved the proposal, and is going to be visiting the research facility some time next week. Also, President Napolitano has sold the La Falce Sanguinante, a missile attack ship, to the People's Democratic Liberation Army, a Warsaw Pact supporter. President Napolitano also sold 17 Tornado Attack Fighters to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and has opened a rubber and oil trade between Italiana and the DRC. Trade planes and ships are planned to arrive sometime next week.

Clio: President Napolitano has also increased funding to the weapons and armor development and research facilities. He has said that, "In light of the possible war, I want Italiana to be ready." That might also explain why he bought 200 heavy and light sniper rifles, as Italiana's current sniper rifle, "Just won't cut it."

The British Government today expressed severe concern at Italy's apparent willingness to sell arms to terrorists and be thusly open enough to proclaim it to the media, especially since such a ship could be used to transport weapons into the United Kingdom, or even attack it.

Following this, the Foreign Office, in conjunction with the Ministry of Defence, today released this statement.

OFFICIAL ORDER, BY AGREEMENT OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II AND THE PARLIAMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND

29th May, The Year of Our Lord 2007 AD

It is with great regret that today we must announce the following:

From the aforementioned date, any shipping withing British Territorial Waters will be subject to "stop and search" proceedings.
Any ship deemed to be carrying weaponry not destined for a government-approved source will be seized, and it's owners prosecuted under British law.
Any ship docking at a British Port will be subject to "stop and search" proceedings. Number 2 would then apply if necessary.
Any ship objecting said proceedings will be obliged to leave British Territorial Waters immediately, escorted by Royal Navy ships.
Any ship refusing to do so will either be seized or sunk.
Finally, this treaty will not apply to shipping from Allied nations, bar Italy. Due to their willingness to supply terrorists with arms, we must insist that all ships must be searched.

Two things have happened today in the great Fascist state of Nicaragua. One, there are plans to create a nuclear energy facility, hoping for the construction to be a American-Nicaraguan project. The materials needed are all here, except a crucial one, Uranium and Plutonium. We wish to request the United States to supply this to us, as a sign of trust between our nations. The second happening inside the borders of the immaculate nation of Nicaragua is our now anti-Honduran setting. Whilst the government is raising awareness that this hatred is pointed towards the Honduran government, not the people, several border skirmishes have ended the lives of two Nicaraguan troops, and injuring three more. The Hondurans who attacked did not have any military garb and are believed to be a rebel movement that has been anti-Nicaraguan or Fascist. The Honduran rebels that had attacked our brave soldiers suffered fifteen casualties, most killed.

I'm James Arnold, and a stirring event has just happened today, a North Korean spy, attempting to smuggle our troop plan's and movemen'ts was caught in Seoul, and is in the goverment jail, awaiting trial, the spy claim's he doesn't know anything, but in his pocket the police found some very important papers, we are lucky we caught him before he got to the border.

We also have heard rumor's of a little incident at the DMZ details are slim, but it went something like this :A North Korean Commander, threw rock's at the South Korean Lt.Col, who responded back by gunfire, wounding the commander, who responded with more gunfire, killing the Lt.Col, more NK troops joined in, and the South Korean troop's responded by firing at the troop's, thus causing the NK troop's to retreat back onto their side of the DMZ. According to a PR from Seoul, this incident, doesn't affect the realtion's with North Korea. This is James Arnold, from Seoul.

Today, Chancellor Blunt of Sweden gave a speech outside of Government Hall to the masses who crowd the plaza every Friday to hear what the Chancellor has to say. Today, however, the Chancellor suprised the people by stating that Sweden would be going nuclear. He influenced the people well, and cheering often interrupted his speeches. We have compiled some notable excerpts of his speech here.

In todays world, a nation can not remain secure without nuclear weaponry. It is for that reason that Sweden has decided to embark on a nuclear program. We wish that these weapons only be a detterant, but if fired upon, Sweden will release fury upon the enemy in the form of these missiles. Sweden regrets having to make this desicion, as we believe that nuclear weaponry of all kinds should be avoided for the betterment of mankind, but it has been determined neccessary for the preservation of our nation.

SIC:

Encrypted Message to the USA:

Perhaps you have heard by now of our nuclear program that we are beginning. We wish to offer you a once in a lifetime chance - you may build nuclear missile silos and the like in Sweden, if you compensate us accordingly. This is not a lighthearted proposition my friend. Much like Mexico and Cuba are to you, so will we be to the commies. Lets stick a giant thorn in their side, eh?

Sincerely,
Chancellor Blunt

..and the search still goes on for the missing monkey. Meanwhile, in more news, a public campaign by American citizens has raised $20 million dollars for the dead in the Indonesia Terrorist attack. While it may not be much, the United States still prides itself in preventing terrorism, and has decided this money however will be used to "compensate the families of the disaster". The US charity that did this was called Terror Watch, and was endorse by the US Government - who placed $10 million into the fund.

And in further news, Italy has announced publicly that it sold weapons and ships to a terrorist organization who are enemies of both NATO and neutral nations. These series of events have shocked the President who in a speech earlier today was quoted saying "Italy has betrayed us - it is one thing to sell weapons to a terrorist organization, but one that is focused on bringing down NATO that even Warsaw Pact countries like Poland won't have is disgraceful." he further said that "I am planning something to happen in NATO within the next few weeks, were we will discuss this issue" and that "the United States supports Britain’s moves and will make sure it's ships there (the US has the largest naval presence in the UK in anywhere in the world minus the US) will help them in their missions".

-------------------------------------------------

SIC: Reply To Chancellor Blunt

The USA will be organizing a NATO meeting of sorts, though without the formality of a meeting – we will each remain in our home countries and will register votes for various issues via a high protected and secure video link. We suggest we discuss that there, as it could provoke the USSR. If the NATO members disagree...we could always come to an arrangement.

Mr. Joseph Wright
President of the United States of America

OOC: Basically, by tonight I hope to have a thread up where NATO members can have there say on how the organization is run, what we should do in current affairs etc. but without actually being a formal meeting so without the endless RPing.

"At today's meeting of the Council of Ministers, the government reaffirmed its targets for the twelfth five year plan and expressed their confidence that the economy would continue to meet the goal of 4% growth in GDP and 5% in industrial output. In addition, the Council has allocated additional funds to housing construction and refurbishment of existing structures, with a goal of 1 million new units by 2017.

In international news, Secretary Krenz has announced the nation's firm support for the Honduran forces combating the fascist Nicaraguan invasion. Speaking at the Council of Ministers, he condemned it as imperialist aggression and a sign that Nicaragua is being influenced by the United States to put pressure on the world socialist community in Honduras and to divert attention from the situation in Indonesia.

In Berlin, the local government has announced that the modernization of communications between the capital and West Berlin will be completed on schedule, and plans to implement the final phase of its Modernization Plan in 2012. Address from the Japanese Department of Economics and Trade

With this absolutely unreasonable development coming from the British United Kingdom, Japan is beginning to question the supposed good-natured motives of NATO. Such restriction on trade and international economics is absolutely shocking, and Japan will respond in a deserving measure for the British. As of this point, income tariffs against all British goods are being raised an additional 10% to compensate from any loss of goods.
In addition, the Imperial Republic would like to make it known that any sort of seizure of Japanese officials or citizens in Britain simply transporting cargo and subjected to this kind of inhumane action will push the Imperial Republic far closer to the Warsaw Pact-who have been nothing but kind to the IRJ. Though the Imperial Republic does not want to get involved in this global polarization, this kind of behavior from NATO is unacceptable and just shows how much NATO looks to demean neutral nations simply looking to rise.

If such continued behavior continues to go on against Japanese assets in NATO nations, Japan would have to consider the very real possibility of focusing more and more trade to the ever-friendly and consuming East Asian bloc and focusing less goods towards the needy West. Though Japan originally found South Africa's claims against Britan absurd, perhaps the African nation is right.

-Japanese Department of Economics and Trade

Department of the Military News

+With growing concern over actions by NATO nations, the IRJ is considering pushing several new plans into military planning and development. Including:
-A devoted guided missile cruiser class and nuclear submarine class
-Devoted strategic and tactical bombers, as well as a fifth-generation successor to the Mistubishi F-2
-True blue-water capability for the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force
-Investment in a domestic line of missile ordinance
-Development into a successor to the Type-90 Main Battle Tank
-Selling off the remaining F-4 Phantoms of the Air Self-Defense Force

Granted, all plans are simply speculation at the moment, but with the House of Councilars's vote on Article 9 a week away, it brings up some very real possibilities.

We are looking at acquring some of the Japanese F-4EJ's that they are selling off, and upgrading them to the F-4L standard that the rest of the F-4E fleet is being upgraded to, for we project that the F-4L's will get one more upgraded, and then they'll serve until 2016 or so, and then we'll acquire a 6.5 generation fighter then probably. The Phantom fleet has been a workhorse for us, and they are an excellent deterrent, especially the RF's we've bought from the United States. Also we're looking at buying used F-111's from the United State's, they would be a useful addition to our fleet.

Indonesian State News, June 30, 2007

The Bureau of Public Security has found a video on the internet, posted on the website "Youtube.com." The video contains two masked men carrying R4 assault rifles with the hated flag of the Wira Dian Great National Salvation Party on it.

"The righteous actions at Medan were only the beginning of our strikes against the evil, devil-worshipping Commie fags of the 'Gerakan Cahaya!'" one of them shouted, making a hated Fascist salute, "All of them deserved to die for allowing the evil Commies to take power!"

"Our ruler, the Immortal Field Marshal Wira bin Dian, Eternal Ruler of the World in General and Indonesia in Particular, Savior of the World from the Evil Demon-Spawn Communists, Shining Light of all Indonesian People, Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, and Eternal Chairman of the Wira Dian Great National Salvation Party shall come to power again! We call on the other nations of the world to help us smite the Commie slug dyke Nasira Ayuwati Kusuma and allow our great leader to institute his righteous leadership on Indonesia again!"

Comrade President Kusuma announced today that this is yet another reason for the government of Malaysia to extradite criminal against the Indonesian people Wira bin Dian to Indonesia to face the judgment of his people.

"While he and his thugs continue to threaten our people, and now even go through with those threats, Wira continues to live in his sprawling mansion in Arau, not having to take responsibility for anything," Kusuma said, "We implore you, Prime Minister Abdullah; stop protecting him!"

Meanwhile, the BPS has captured a suspect in the Medan bombing; a former resident of Pekanbaru, Riau named Muhammad Anuar bin Demang, who fled to Singapore in 2002.

"We believe him to have connections to Wira's regime," BPS Chief Idris Jati said, "The BPS has already discovered that he had a part in transferring Wira's funds from Indonesia to banks in Singapore."

Anuar currently refuses to reveal any accomplices or admit he has any connections to the WDGNSP.

OOC: Time for the usual Japanese sneaky economics.

SIC:

Addressed to the nation of Saudi Arabia

The IRJ and Saudi Arabia have long had a strong relationship, especially in the trade of Saudi resources in exchange for Japanese industrial and commercial goods. The IRJ would like to inquire as to whether the nation of Saudi Arabia would like to continue this beneficial economic partnership between our two nations by agreeing to a mutual lowering of tariffs for Saudi oil and Japanese electronics systems and telecommunications systems. As South Korea has just cut oil purchases, Japan certainly can pick up the slack, with an extensive public transportation system, and a burgeoning population.
The Imperial Republic can always go to other sources for its oil...but it alone remains the largest, and most efficient, producer of high-tech goods and consumer products. The IRJ figured that Saudi Arabia would like to take advantage of this offer-while it lasts.

President Stjepan Mesic sat behind a rather large, black table covered with microphones and paper. Microphones were there to capture what Mr.Mesic would soon read from those papers. The room was filled with reporters, representing all the media of Yugoslavia. A large number of foreigners were also present, for this truly was something other countries were interested about, too. Some ordinary people were also allowed to enter, to act as an audience of a sort.

He cleared his throat, sipped his water and begun:

"Comrades, citizens, brothers and sisters!
This truly is a great day for our nation! For the very first time in the history of our nation we can honestly say that we're as strong as any other nation on this planet. In this particular field we now do match even the most massive and stunningly strong superpowers!

At 4:00 this morning, Belgrad time, our mighty military detonated the very first atomic weapon in the Balkans, beneath the mountains of Southern Macedonia. At 4:40 and 7:55 other two were also tested, other sent by a missile in the Pacific Ocean and the other from a bomber, in Macedonian mountains also. All three tests succeeded completely!"

*applauds*

"I am proud to inform also, that two new nuclear reactors were started today, and both work just the way they should be working. These are the 10th and 11th nuclear powerplants within our nation.
Furthermore, just fwe hours ago our parliament agreed to the new build-up program for our navy. Three, yes, THREE new Partizan IIB nuclear submarines are to be built during the next two years, thereby doubling our number of these marvelous vessels!"

"...The attempted ambush failed, as passerbys spotted the weapons long before the motorcade had enter the plaza. All twelve men have been arrested and are being questioned by the New Dehli police who say that twelve men would not have posed a threat to the congressmen's motorcade. Lala Rai having been told of the attempt by phone, assuemd a police task force for the last leg of the journy to the opening of Congress.

The debate for witch this session was called was the controversial Industrial Revitization Act, which included a budget change of nearly 100,000,000,000 Rupees away from trasportation and agriculture to the Industrial, Technological, and Information sectors of the Indian Private Sector. Most of the clauses were struck down, however 20,000,000,000 Rupees have been granted in benefits to industries who have also been encouraged to expand.

Congressman Lala Rai reminded the world that India is open to more foreign investment and any that help India out of the depths of poverty will have our eternal gratitude, and though unable to pay in cash at the moment will be granted many valuable bonus'.

Lala Rai Also commented on the lose of a reported Osa Class missile boat out of Madras harbor, the Congressmen along with the naval department are baffled as the Indian navy does not maintain a active force of such craft. The Congessman commented that such craft must have been of foreign build and upon review of the docking records assures India's citizens that it was indeed not a military craft of the navy."

The general consensus is that it's a simple training exercise, or perhaps a form of posturing for the world at large, though a few analysts are contending that it has something to do with the heated bickering between the Fascist nation and the British crown. Whatever the reason, the government's not talking, and neither are the air crews. In other news, the government praised the IRA today, calling them "noblest rebels" and noting that any true citizen of our glorious nation would support...

The Democratic Republic of Congo, US Air Base

The OH-58 Kiowa Helicopter lifted itself from the ground and sped off into the distance. Inside it was the General of the United States Army Congo Division, Ray Wood, effectively in control of all army personal in the Congo. He had just met up with the General of the US Congo Airforce, a man of similar power but over the airbases, to inform him of heightened military activity in South Africa. The country was one the United States had classed as "stable, but closely monitored" and was well known to be one they would happily remain neutral too.

However this military preparations had unnerved the some 85,000 US army personal in the Congo, America's main African place of military importance, and there readiness level had been raised for 4 to 3 (levels are similar to DEFCON) - unlike South Africa who wished to glorify there increased readiness by discussing it to the media, the US would not. For now, government orders had been to watch South Africa for movement - especially due to there bad relations with the British, one of the US's closest allies.

Sorry to break this up, but ever since the finalization of the E20 ruling non-NS-related alternate history stuff isn't appropriate for our boards. The idea is to make your own country, not to play the part of a real country in the real world with a divergent history. There are dedicated alternate history forums elsewhere if that's your thing.
