Brief Recent History of the United States of America

The period after the Second World War embarrassed the USA. The prominence of the civil rights movement for blacks and the growing support by the student population of America for communist ideals saw them have an internal crisis on there hands, which was only added to by there failings in the Vietnam war. Eventually by the mid-70's the communist movement dyed down, but everyone knew it had left the USA divided, with most supporting the anti-communist stance of the government, whereas the rest of the population called the USA's policy to stop communism "unfair" and believed that the ideals were good and the system should be given more of a chance.

No President could unite the public under one view until the turn of the 90's. Many US citizens had expected to see the USSR's power diminishing by then but it was stable and increasing, and panic as to America's safety swept across the nation. This saw, in the 1992 General Election, Mr. Eugene Cartwright come into power. He was neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but ran the American Preservation Union Party, one that's main focuses were preserving America's power and protecting it from Communism. His fierce anti-Communist stance made America unite in one view against Communism, and although some of his choices - particularly the massive build up of US forces to nearly 1% of the nation - were not welcomed by the International Community, his popularity was strong in America and he was classed as a great leader.

With Cartwright arguably making America the world's leading Superpower and making NATO more united and strong against Communism, when he stood down after his second term in 2002 his successor came as Mr. Joseph Wright. Joseph was the brother of the Chief Justice, Miss. Hilary Wright, and became the first black President of America. He vocally supports increased civil-rights and economic strength to be increased, and whilst not being as strongly anti-Communist as Cartwright he understands that the military needs to be strong to protect itself from all threats. He currently is working with NATO to change the world for the "better".

DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH THE USA

There are three ways to improve your diplomatic relations with the USA:

1) This one will automatically make you a close ally - join NATO (communist nations not allowed, capitlist nations prefered)
2) Begin diplomatic relations by opening up an embassy and later continuing this by signing pacts such as non-aggression pacts and mutual-defence acts.
3) To become trustworthy nations by offering deals on trade - only doing this and joining NATO will allow you to buy weapons, planes, boats and other equipment from America's superior technologic military. This also only applies to NATO and nuetral nations who we deem pro-NATO.

While our nations are not exactly what one would call "friends." We feel it important, in the name of world peace, to establish diplomatic relations with the United States of America in the form of an embassy in Washington, D.C.

The communiqué had arrived at the Foreign Sectaries offices, he had taken the message onto the Vice-President, and Mr. Ford had given it to the President himself. All in all, after three lengthy hours of discussion, a decision had been made. He knew that whatever he chose could have bad effects, one on any chance of relations with Russia, the other on public support for him - but he had to make a difficult choice.

We will allow you an embassy in Washington D.C. - however, due to public sentiment currently we must have these conditions
- No more than ten armed guards may protect the embassy
- Thirty highly trained special ops. Officers will be present to protect the embassy staff at all times
This is for the benefit of your embassy staff and the people - they, in some ways, will not trust a large Soviet military force in our nation. We hope this embassy can be used for convenience so our two nations can converse peacefully. We shall request one is opened in Moscow for America, and we will abide by your rules also.

Comunicación Oficial Entre el Estado Reformado Fascista de Nicaragua y los Estados Unidos de América

This message to request that our status of alliance with you, and my extension NATO, be upgraded. It is clear and simply our governments are both pro-Right wing and Capitalism, though my nation's name may cause your people to instigate a minor uproar if our alliance was to grow stronger. So we propose the following. That if our alliance was to grow stronger, it would be that of... an inconspicuous friendship. And that we ask your nation's education system to show the good of Fascism, the ally it could be against the United Socialist State Republics, as it was in the Second World War. Thirty million more Russian killed, by a nation that had barely reached that size itself, not to mention the damage it reaped upon the other Allied Forces.

We are not saying that our nation is the next Reich, but you must understand. Our alliance could, and would be profitable to both of us. Due to our pro-environmentalist stance we request that Algore be made your nation's ambassador to ours, and that neither of us receive no tariffs in trade. You supply us with the Ethonal we need, we supply you with our Oil Embargoes that have a virtual monopoly on the Gulf of Mexico. Furthermore, we ask a slight favor of you. It does not look good for a Fascist nation to obtain and use Kalashnikovs, not only for simple ascetics, but to show your people that the Fascist can be trusted. We propose we purchase two hundred ninety thousand Steyr AUGs. Of course we will compensate for this by selling our AK-101's to a Socialist nation, but we will rust and overall make these guns we are selling to the Socialist nation... awful.

Do you accept our proposal.

Your nation has long been a friend of America's - a nation of beauty which unfortunately has been unfairly targeted by the Communist ways of North Korea. With your power in East Asia and your nation seen as an ideal example of what Communism can do to nations, attack them, your are an ideal candidate for NATO membership. Welcome to NATO, and consider your embassy ready.

Mr. Joseph Wright,
President of the United States of America

- Official Reply by the U.S.A. to the Cuba

The Cuban blockade was placed upon your nation due to it's socialist ways and failure to follow the U.S.A's wishes of surrending your Dictatorship and Communist ways and placing Democracy in your nation. Not much has changed since the blockade was placed on your nation, so we fail to see why it should be lifted. In recent years the embargo has been more relaxed anyway. Until you prove to us you can be fully trusted we will not lift it. However, we will offer you an embassy in Washington and will at some point have talks to improve diplomatic relations - all this could lead to the lifting of the embargo.

You can be a friend in the shadows, Mr. Solis. Our people will not be pleased if we are doing trade with a fascist nation, so therefore public our stance to you will remain neutral - however we will be friends though trade. In exchange for the oil of the Gulf of Mexico, which may be needed due to the uncertainity over oil in the Middle East minus Saudi Arabi, and your support against Socialism (I am pleased with your weapons sales idea) we will sell you secretly the Steyr AUGs and some amounts of Ethanol. Sadly I cannot and to some extent will not enforce pro-fascist views on our children, we barely get away with anti-communist stances in education.

Also, Algore is currently our Environmental Minister - so sadly he is not open for the job. The USA is trying, somewhat, to clean up it's act too!

These followings are completely understood, and dually noted. But we do, however, have a slight plight. Which nation do you believe we should sell these to? Cuba? While close, your blockade would pose a slight threat, unless you 'did not see us' and the weapons 'accidentally' had reach their coast lines. Which, while we gain money, you do not lose any public stance. Therefore, we have a win-win situation. And another subject which I would advise, is some of your ships protect our oil assets in the Gulf of Mexico, as our ships in the area only number a single Kitty Hawk Class Super Carrier, with only fourteen airplanes.

Cuba will be perfect. We will overlook the sale, and there military will further be weakened. However, be careful, they may be cleverer than you think - Castro is a brave man, and unlike my predessecor I will admit he is a strong one to stand up to America, despite the problems it has brought his nation.

We always protect our assests. Consider the Gulf of Mexico under American protection, we will likely send either send USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) (aircraft carrier) or a few Ticonderoga class cruisers to prevent any problems there. There positon will also give us a naval force near the slightly worrying Communist Mexico.

We, after much consideration, have this to say - you must come up with a legit reason for your invasion before NATO will approve any attack on foreign soil. We are not corrupt and cannot always allow nations to do as they please for favours - however, the USA would like to place troops - around 85,000 of them - on your soil to protect our interests in Africa, and would like you to supply NATO solely with your Uranium and Oil. These conditions could see the US backing of your plans, as long as for now they are limited to Congo.

We do not want to become enemies with the US but if you are stating that since we are in the Warsaw pact we can't be friednly with us then you are completly wrong. We do not wish to go to conflict with the US or the UK and wish to become more connected through trade. I was also wondering why my nation is listed unstable but I continue to say I wish the USA no harm at all but just peace. Please accept the opening of Trade between our two countries to ensure peace. I would also like to say that the US will not be able to station troops within our borders due to the fact there are still USSR stationed troops here, which will cause major problems.

Sincerly,
Dominik Narkowski
President of State, People's Republic of Poland (PRP)

- Official Reply by the U.S.A. to Poland

We have no problems with you as a nation Poland - it is your alliance that worries us, and your Communist government. However there is no trade embargo between our nations, and there are no plans to be, so we will continue to trade freely - though likely with tariffs. Of course you cannot buy military hardware from the USA, however we will sell you any of our natural resources or produce of our nation.

Encoded Message From: His Excellency K. R. Narayanan President of India
To: President Joseph Wright, and His Esteemed Cabinet

As I am sure you are aware as indeed the whole world that India growns under the weight of over one billion souls, all who need feeding. India is at the present a poor country, even though there is money it is not nearly enough to support the nation. 22% of our nation is below the poverty line, those 22% we are unable to help at the moment. We believe that the United States will be able to assist through a plan we underline as the following. If anyhting you wish to change we shall bow to your wishes as this money is needed, or if this is impossible we shall take our offer elsewhere as well as our gratitude.

I: The US shall lend India 150 Billion dollars over the course of three years, this money shall be put forward to public works plans, industry, and agriculture. It shall be in fact the money used to prime the pump of India's modern industry. Over those three years, as we plan on this money being payed back, we ask that the interest rate remian low, perhaps 2%. Within three years we should hopefully have the capability to repay you in full, and will be more then glad to repay you sooner should an acceptable currency be raw materials or man hours.

II: An open offer to all American Private and Public companies land will be leased near Madras for 10$ yearly. To relocate to the premises the business must be able and willing to employ at least 1000 Indian nationals. Foriegn exclaves, will soon be available in the Nicobar Islands were business may be relocated as well for a similar rate.

III: Embassies will be exchanged between our nations, on your perrogative will they be placed.

IV: India will grant the US one military base in the Nicobar islands to of 5 SQ. Km's in exchange for a low interest rate as stated above. The bases lease will last for 50 years, and has no limitation as to the perosnnel and materials there in.

V: Both our nations shall sign a non agression pact, ensuring a decade of peace, with clauses of open ports for preplanned warship matinence and docking.

VI Trade Tariffs on technological and Industrial goods being imported into Indian shall be reduced in the effort to rebase the economy off agriculture.

If there are any clauses America sees fit to edit, we are sure somehting can be arranged. Any additional clauses will also be considered. We pray you accept for both our people's sake.

Signed:
His Excellency K. R. Narayanan President of India

Official Repsonse:

We wish to purchase 50 RF-4C's, some of them being the lower time one's if at all possible, and 30 F-4G Wild Weasels, we think that will come to a total of 12.6 billion for the jet's, that will be the amount we will pay, if that seem's like a fair and reasonable price to you. We would also inquire how much would you ask for 20-25 F-111's? We thank you for your co-operation in this matter,

Kim Andyard

United Kingdom of South Korea

- Official Reply by the U.S.A. to the South Korea

For $12.6 billion you can afford 20 F-4G Wild Weasels and 50 RF-4C, or 30 F-4G Wild Weasels and 40 RF-4C's, all second hand, according to our pricing. If you wish for these to be new the price will increase. Currently we will be closing deals between nations for a short while, however your request for 20-25 F-111 has been noted and is being reviewed by our military purchasing council. We look forward to seeing the progression of the military of our great allies in South Korea.

The People's Republic of Poland's leader has found the United States of America's response offending and has taken it to himself to stop all trade between the United States and Poland. Any ship in our terirtory as of this hour will be taken into custody and shipped back to America with all of it's products stripped. These actions will stop if America accepts a peace treaty with Poland.

This provoking act has greatly displeased the United States. Poland, it is within your interest to withdraw your stop of all trading - America can get your resources, mostly environmentally damaging ways of producing fuel, from other nations - trade from the US I'm sure is far more important to you. We have been kind to Poland, it has suffered the same restrictions as other Warsaw Pact nations as it is within our right to do, but we opened up our natural resources to you -making you the only pro-Warsaw nation that was allowed that. And yet then you decide that offends you - well, consider them closed.

Poland, I believe you and your government need to discuss in future the best way of improving foreign relations - generally countries don't like being held to ransom to sign peace treaties. We suggest you follow the example of the USSR, who is trying to remain neutral to the US, and does not do things like this.

The United States of America Official Reply To India

India, you are a friend to America - much like Japan, and one we are willing to help. Firstly, we must say this base will be large (around 60,000 - 100,000 troops) though we respect you being neutral, though hope once this deal is in place it will improve our diplomatic relations. We will expect you not to turn to the Warsaw Pact for similar help in your hardships; America will be your first helper.

The first proposal we accept - however we wish to send American advisors to your country merely to help you in you’re spending on it, and to make sure it is spent for the benefit of your people and not on military equipment. The interest rate will be 3%. Your second offer pleases us and our economic office as well.

We also are happy to send embassy staff to India, and we have sent a message to your foreign office. Also, as for the non-aggression pact - we are also pleased to sign that with a nation we so admire and our clauses will simply be that it will be cancelled if India shows aggression to the US or joins the Warsaw Pact.

It is the final one we have some issue with - as the US is India's #1 trade partner, whilst India is #21 for the US - and so we see it as not benefiting us much - however, we shall lower them slightly (OOC: what are the current tariffs?)

As an additional clause, America requests that we have no (or low at the least) tariff access to your large petroleum, coal, general energy creating resources and metal natural resources, plus India's software industry.

Mr. Joseph Wright,
President of the United States of America

OOC: About the trade tariffs, I'm unsure what they are currently - tell me and I'll decide how to lower them. Apart from that, I hope you approve of the deal.

To: The Honorable Josheph Wright President of the United States of America

We are honored that you have consented to this agreement and find the additional clauses most agreeable. Inspectors can of course inspect the progress ans indeed our military spending should they find that prudent. An embassy will be set up in Madras for America and it's ambassadors.

As for your military presence in the region I believe that 75,000 is the very maximum we could allow, simply for space's sake. There will of course be no nuclear warheads within our border, should war break out India would pay the prise for such a move. As for not joining the Warsaw Pact we agree, and would also sign the non agresion pact.

As for the tariffs ours are notoriously low, though we would be happy to reduced the export fees on raw materials to 1.65% to increase the level of business. If tha covers everything we shall look forward to your ambassadors and inspectors.

Signed:
Kocheril Raman Narayanan

OOC Things being imported into India have a generally low tax (Wandering about the 2-3% range so it's fairly low on our end all ready. It differs but at least here it dosen't go above 5% (I perfer Free Market.) What India mostly wants is for Amercian technology to be easier to import, I'm not sure on american export fees but they should be lowered, if only in the case of techonolgy.
