The Cold War, had it bothered to end, would have left a lasting impression on the British population. Without it's completion, however, the population still maintained a highly anti-communist stance. Many a person showing communist leanings was reported to the police, and from there, MI5 kept a close watch on that person.

Although the USSR had stopped sending spies to watch Tornado take-offs, noting response times, talk still cost lives. Military movements were kept secret now; tanks no longer transported in the open, although the Osh-Kosh transporter could be spotted a mile away.

The New British Imperial Party came to power in the 2004 elections, when Tony Blair's bad decisions caught up with him in an unprecedented election loss. The NBIP, an underdog until them, had maintained promises of peace in Europe; not peace that teetered on the tip of a knife, but certain peace, that was sat on the sideboard. They promised to make Great Britain "Great" once more, by instilling traditional values, bolstering the strength of the Royal Navy, which would soon be comparable to the Russians in state of repair, and making sure that the United Kingdom had a stronger, more realistic voice in International Politics.

N.B. We will take all those who found to be supplying the IRA to be directly hostile to the United Kingdom, and such actions will require explanation. Should an unreasonable explanation be given, then the nation shall be dealt with accordingly.
Furthermore, any terrorist organisation, or one we deem to be terrorist, if found on British Territory, will be dealt with severely. Let this be a message from the British Government to said organisations - we will be watching for you.

*Due to governmental hostilities toward the British nation and it's peoples, we feel this is a necessary measure.

Official British Foreign Office Response

We would like for you to outline what you have in mind for pacts or deals. Until then, you may consider us interested.

It is always nice to see nations of the middle east embracing relations with democratic nations as ourselves.

We would be most pleasured to allow you an Embassy and a Consulate in London, and to establish one for ourselves in Seoul.

We, too, hope that this will allow Anglo-Far East relations to flourish.

OOC: Consider it done.

Brill! Sorry if I slagged you off In the RP forum.

You now have an embassy in Saudi Arabia. I hope we can both benefit from the deal I propose. You will get 30% off all products produced by Saudi Arabia. In return we want your full cooperation in our aim to set up a nuclear reactor.

occ. In other words I want to help you set up a new British empire in return I want to be a world power along side you. Also I've never ever done a RP before so I thought I would maybe use your help.

OOC: Wait. You slagged me off? :p

Anyhoo, that sounds like fun. Be happy to help.

Lesson 1: When you make a post to a foreign office, you should use the terms "we" and "us", rather than I.
Lesson 2: You should put a heading at the top, for example, like mine below. A flag can help, but it needs to be small.

Hope that helps a little.

Official British Foreign Office Response

Your current stance in the world today, including your attitude to our good allies The United States of America, has lead us to use caution in our decision. However, we would be willing to assist you in creating a nuclear reactor upon the following conditions:

The Uranium required for the reactor shall be enriched in the United Kingdom, and nowhere else.
The Uranium enriched for the reactors will not, under any circumstances, be further enriched to weapons-standard.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall agree to allowing a British Nuclear Engineering and Research Team, along with NBC troops, into the nation to visit and examine the reactors as part of their maintanence.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall agree to notify the British Authorities of any further projects regarding Uranium enrichment, or other related processes.

These are our terms, and, whilst the international community may be unhappy, we believe that aiding nations willing to embrace a more modern view of the world are worth working with.
