Fredrick Howers, the new Minister of International Affairs, sent decrypted messages to foreign governments on good relations with Maraguista to try to form alliances. Although Maraguista had remained a neutral country with little interaction with the outside world, Maraguista had just recently started secret Defense projects so as to limit buying of weapons from other countries. The SDP (Secret Defense Projects) had produced some surprising things that would remain hidden by MIS (Maraguistan Intelligence Service) until they were ready to show the world just what the quiet nation had been up to.

Re: Acquisition of military equipment

We understand from your recent transmissions that you are in the process of establishing or re-equipping a military force. Our nation has also been riven by internal conflict so we fully understand your situation. The Panzerwaffe of the Armed Republic of Koenwitz would be willing to supply you with a company of ten Panzer-48 medium tanks. These vehicles weigh 40 tonnes, have a crew of four and are equipped with a Spreemetall PZK-59 105mm rifled gun, along with a coaxial MG-60 7.62mm machinegun. The vehicles were manufactured at the Spreelow munitions works on the outskirts of our capital, Koenburg in 1994 and have been used, though not in battle, by our 3rd Mechanized Division, which is currently in the process of refitting. The Pz-48s proved highly effective during the Great Patriotic War and are popular among their crews.

We realise that this is not a great deal of material but it may be of use to your growing military. Please contact me if you wish to know more.

The region of Greater Honakon, containing three nations that all spawn from the parent nation of the Commission-Run State of Honako and a population totalling over one billion, wish to welcome onto the international stage. So far your nation's attitude has impressed us, as have your choice of friends - the Federation of Ambrose-Douglas we do not know well, but they seem like a good nation who also Little Honako (our more democratic and socialist puppet) is helping out currently in a conflict in Ibinius.

We wish to open up relations with you and start an alliance possibly once we get to know your nation more. We are not as strong as some nations in the world, however we are much stronger than many, and we have some powerful allies and will be willing to protect you and work with you. The Armed Republic of Koenwitz will, natually, have to ask for some payment for these vehicles. Depending on your preference we will either charge you for the vehicles themselves or the shipping costs. We regret that, if you wish for us to ship them to you, this can only be done oversea, as we have no airlift service capable of transporting vehicles of this weight. If you wish to have the tanks flown into your country you will have to send a transport aircraft to the military airstrip near Karentan in the southwest of Koenwitz, where the tanks will be loaded.

We will supply you the vehicles at the reduced price 5,000 maychucks each (2,000 of your gold coins at the estimated rate of exchange), so the complete company will cost you 50,000 maychucks (20,000 gold coins). Shipping will also cost 50,000 maychucks.

In the interests of futhering good relations, the government of ARK would also be willing to send a small group of military advisors to your nation, free of charge, if your military so desires. The Army of Koenwitz has extensive experience of large-scale internal conflicts, though not foreign wars.

The President of ARK hopes that you will accept our offer and looks forward to positive relations with your country.
