Major Naval Contracts Required
The Candrian Empire

Major Naval Requirements to be Met:
The Candrian Empire, after several attempts at indiginous design, has sought need to contact outside sources to meet it's immense naval requirements for the outfitting of the Imperial Candrian Armada, Naval Transport Command, and Marine Defense Patrol forces. The lack of domestic expertise with naval design has resulted in severe shortfalls in naval force projection; and as a result a total overhaul of all naval forces. Staff Admiral John J. Hailey is issuing this request to the most qualified naval manufacturing firms in the world; as major contracts are required that will result in the purchase of several thousand ships; as well as demand for future contracts. Firms willing to participate may review the below demands and seek to meet the expectations.
The current projected ICA, seeing itself undergo a complete overhaul, will be small; however, whoever meets the contract requirements will be contact in the future for more ships.
CAPITAL SHIPS:
2 Required. Flagships for the Imperial Candrian Armada. Must project and intimidate; prefferably a Supercapital-style ship.
BATTLESHIPS:
6 'Super-Dreadnought' style Battleships, intended as escorts to their respective capital ships.
12 Non-SD style conventional Battleships
CRUISERS:
24 required.
ARSENAL SHIPS:
12 required
DESTROYERS:
108 AAW Destroyers
108 ASW Destroyers
FRIGATES:
864 ASW Frigates
864 AAW Frigates
SUBMARINES:
108 Attack Submarines
Please note most weapons calibers WILL BE MODIFIED to accept existing ICA munitions.
(OOC: No, I don't want to use RL designs.)
Offical Roman Response
Hello, fellow leader. My nation is in process of rebuilding its vast navy, however we do have a magnificant class of frigates (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12695396&postcount=1) availible for purchase. If you would like to wait and see our whole inventory, you wouldn't regret it however. Please respond promptly of your response. Thank you.

From: Office of the Head of Portland Iron Works, Southeast Asia
Subject: Defense contracts
Dear Sir/Madam,
As the Sales Director in charge of the Portland Iron Works division in the United Sovereign Nations of Southeast Asia, I would like to present to you these defense contracts which may be appropriate to your military doctrine.
On the issue of supercapital warships, may I present the Retaliation-class trimaran very heavy dreadnaught (http://z13.invisionfree.com/The_NS_Draftroom/index.php?showtopic=3389). The alternative is the Warspite-class very large dreadnaught (http://z13.invisionfree.com/The_NS_Draftroom/index.php?showtopic=3389&view=findpost&p=1129091). The difference between the two classes is a size difference, and the latter has greater firepower. I personally would use the former for more cost-effectiveness and greater manueverability, but that's your choice.
When it comes to superdreadnaughts, may I present to you these classes: the Vigilant, the Archon, and the Independence (http://s14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=1). Admittedly, while superdreadnaughts are no longer the most iconic symbol of a nation's national pride and naval prowess, they are nevertheless worthy assets to have. All three of these are capable of acting as flagships in their own right, and are worthy compliments to the classes I presented to you above.
When it comes to battleships, I can offer the latest workhorses of the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy (and that navy that of my own homeland, the Southeast Asian Federal-Parliamentarian Navy): the Pavanne-class (http://z13.invisionfree.com/The_NS_Draftroom/index.php?showtopic=1341) and the Kearsarge-class (http://z13.invisionfree.com/The_NS_Draftroom/index.php?showtopic=1808) trimaran battleships. Though both battleships are meant to compliment one another (the former being a first-class battleship and the latter a second-class battleship), it is ultimately up to you to decide whether to use both or them or only one of them.
On the issue of submersible warships, I present the Navarre-class attack submarine and the Poseidon-class (http://s14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=7). Both ships have not only served the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy well, but they have also made the Freethinker Commonwealth's top defense contractor and their fleet smile thanks to its note-worthy performance and appropriate homage to one of their cities.
I also present the Shark-class ASW frigate and the Hastings-class strike frigate (http://z14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=12). The latter frigate warship class you may find interesting. The destroyer classes Mahan and Samuel B. Roberts (http://z14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=11) have been a couple of the Portland Iron Works' more advanced destroyer vessels, and while regrettably our ASW destroyer is not as up-to-date, I hope my offered products are acceptable to your fleet.
The only arsenal ship class to serve in the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy is the Agamemnon (http://z14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=58)-class, and while retired, I am willing to make special arrangements for your fleet. Last, but not least, I offer the Shield Bearer-class, the Montgomery-class, the Commandant-class, the Agrippa-class and the General Dent-class of cruisers. (http://z14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=5) I hope you find one of these cruiser vessels to your liking, and eagerly await your response.
Yours Truly,
Office of the Head of Portland Iron Works - Southeast Asia

Staff Admiral Hailey sat at his desk in the NAVCOM office at Petronas, overlooking the current offers.
The thinning grey hair on the top of his head reflected the light coming throught the window of the 86-floor office building, as the two people immediately below him, Fleet Admirals Samuel Glaeser and Gina Norusia, of Fleets East and West respectively, sat across from him.
In his hands were the three offers currently on the table - a relative newcomer, Rome, with an interesting frigate design that met the guided missle frigate needs. Another popular corporation, Raven Corps, also showed interest, however without providing any further material. And finally, established firms PIW and NPNY; capable of meeting the larger demands of the ICA.
The Admiral's head tilted up, the glasses straddled on his nose slipping down ever so slightly, glinting with the light of the large window to the West. His brown, wide eyes, tainted yellow by years of alcohol abuse, showed a mix of fatigue and excitment - he was finally going to get good ships... but it took him nearly a decade to convince the suits in the Office of Pocurment to free up the money.
He began to speak up, in a voice crackled and deepened by age. "What do you two think?"
Gina's head perked up. "I say we wait for more offers. Let more of the big fish come to us."
Sam sighed, visibly disgusted. "I still don't understand why we're asking for so few ships."
"Because the OP will only authorize enough ships to give the fleets operational capacity; we have to handwring them to get the budgetary autonomy of the Army and Airforce. We'll get back up to a sizeable force then, order a few thousand more ships & such." Staff Admiral Hailey's voice was starting to show some form of irritation; not exactly common in his character. "We'll wait for more offers, and keep the current ones on the table. I'll have a secretary come in here and type up something quick. We'll keep the contracts on the boards for a while longer, and when we're satisfied with the offers, we'll pick out what we need."
----
Official Response from Staff Admiral John J. Hailey
Thank you for the responses. We'll keep the contracts on the boards for a moment longer and wait for more offers. We'd like every firm to know that their offers are being seriously considered at the moment, and that the choice of who will supply the Candrian Navy now and for the indefinate future will be a difficult one.

Subject: Hogsingrad-class nuclear-powered trimaran command battlecruiser and Sea-class CBGN presentation
Dear Staff Admiral John Hailey,
In response to the release of a new battlecruiser on the market, we have decided to return to present to you some of our options. The Sea-class battlecruiser and the Hogsingrad-class trimaran command battlecruiser (http://z14.invisionfree.com/PIW/index.php?showtopic=4) are a bit old, but it does not mean they are unworthy combat vessels. The former is a vessel that we collaborated with the Royal Shipyards of Isselmere-Nieland Corporation to help both the Royal Isselmere-Nieland Navy and the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy, and both my firm and the firm some colleagues of mine work at are still proud to this day. The latter is a class intended for service in the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy, and was commissioned with her name thanks to the much shocking and unpredicted fiery demise of the Hogsweatian state. The former could serve as a true battlecruiser and support for your heavier battleship classes, while the latter support your superdreadnaughts and your supercapitals, or act as a de-facto superdreadnaught itself, depending on your naval classification scheme. Once again, Admiral Hailey, I sincerely await your decision and response to my offer.
Yours Truly,
Office of the Head of Portland Iron Works - Southeast Asia
