It's not always easy to find the same storefronts from one day to the next; so in the name of making things easier I want to start an International Database that includes as many (hopefully all) storefronts on NS as possible. For storefront customers this means they can find thier favorite storefronts with ease, rather than using the (rather clunky) search feature here on the Jolt site and having to search through massive amounts of posts to get what they want. For storefronts... its advertising. You have a place to let your front be seen and know what they deal in before even visiting.

And maybe perhaps it would provide an interesting RP idea... where my nation functions as an international advertiser for Alliances, Storefronts, and such things (for a price). It wouldn't be too hard since I already wrote a crappy 20 minute code for an information website for my country. All I'd have to do is get or write a java script that displays random banners for the 'adverts'. And possibly if I'm not feeling so lasy... write a decent html code for my site instead of the ametureish table, by a table, inside a table basic script with some pictures tossed in to make it look less crappy.

Thoughts questions, concerns, gripes, groans are welcome.

I know there are other storefront databases. But I plan on making this one slightly more advanced. Like the others you can look up shop names in alphabetical order, unlike the others you can see what kind of services they offer, what tech levels they cater too, and get a general idea of what kind of gear they sell. I also want to use it as part of my nations RP experience and 'sell' advertising space to storefronts, alliances, and whatever else.

Thanks for the information, please keep it coming. I'm going to begin work on the viewable database soon, it will be in html code and a form will be available for new entries. Eventually I'll hopefully be able to add a search where you can find stores based on criteria or just by name. But its current form will likely be the standard aphabetical listing with hotlinks to jump around.

Bump, with a few suggestions.

1. You might want to put links to each listed storefront description in alphabetical order in your OP.

2. You can go storefront-hunting and put partial descriptions of storefronts you can find on your own, and bump the thread when the storefront owner is online and/or TG him/her for further information.

3. Once you have a good number of storefronts listed, 20+, you should ask a Mod to sticky this thread, by posting a request in the Moderation forum with a link to this thread or filing a Getting Help request.

Actually... I'm almost finished with the website the database will be located on ;).

I'm going to remote host it on a website, prolly geocities or something to start out and provide a form for storefronts to post thier descriptions on... hopefully also want to be able to use the site as a fake ad space for alliances, storefronts, and other things NS related.
