Alot of activity I see...

These are the events as I see it.

Your guy had to keep track of 4 people, when distracted with Ehsan and David the Waitress ran what do you expect when threatening people. Particularily when swords and other weapons are going to get produced.

As for the barman the 5 seconds was well enough time for him to produce the shotgun and aim it (also taking a step back from the bar)

No one is currently dead, however there are alot of people that are very unhappy with you... in the bar and outside of it.

Well....I see we have a bunch of pussies in this thread. As well as people who don't have much of an imagination. Instead of indignation and excuses, why didn't all of you go with it? It certainly would have livened things up somewhat, maybe even have had a shoot-out with the local cops. I had a really good couple of ideas here, but if you want to keep plodding along with the banal banter, go for it.

BTW, the one guy (with the vest) actually has some talent. He went along with the flow and turned out nicely. My congrats to him.

I'll post a graceful retreat, and then all of you can talk about how brave you were against the big, bad meanies.


Also BTW, I've run into Isa many times before. He certainly is entertaining. Perhaps he remembers me from the Iceland Land Grab ( I was a different nation).

Pussies? I'm afraid what you have in this thread is what would be more appropriately termed 'respectful roleplayers'.

Killing other's characters without their permission is probably the most blatant and pitiful forms of god-moding, and it also very poor RP to just walk in and start killing people, especially with a character that has no back history.

The only 'pussy' thing in this thread is the assumption is that The Black Warrior Cult's prince would have a more fearful reputation or fighting prowess than a Colonel in the Imperial Army (Colonel David Scott, Imperial Isa) and a Velites Kerbal ( Kerbals Manglevites Ydress Ihsan, Me) it is usually common courtesy that well established characters trump new ones in free form RP. I have never RP'ed with Imperial Isa, but his background at least shows us that his characters should be treated with respect and we should assume that they are competent enough to handle some swaggering jerk-off, with more courage than brains.

You may have RP'ed before as other nations, but you Warrior Cult and it's prince are upstarts with no history behind them, certainly not the type that should up and just start stepping all over others in a roleplay that is already fairly underway.

It is also bad form to not even acknowledge my posts and have your 'prince' act as if he, the barman and Colonel Scott are the only ones in the room.

Very poor roleplaying etiquette, I must say. However, I will reserve final judgment until we see if you handle things better as we go.

Imperial isa, sorry, I didn't have a chance to chase up anything to get a feel for your nation, but I will before I go on.

Lloegeyr doesn't have a military, mainly because I can't be bothered with all that statistical stuff. If it comes to war,we'll be sitting on the sidelines sending annoying communiques -- "Lloegeyr Chides Combatants! Think Of The Children, Says Prime Minister".

I'm still around....and I'm preparing a response on several levels. As this is a bit of a hectic weekend, I'll do something in the IC quickly, then focus on it either late Monday or Tuesday AM.

I am a seperate nation from Xeraph in the same region. As a matter of fact, it is only recently that I transferred into Mercenary Lands from the Pagan Borderlands.

Basically, the accusation here is that since two distinct nations use the same computer and 'live' in the same region, one must be a puppet of the other.

I can tell you the same thing that I told Scolopendra. My brother, Rich, is Xeraph. My name is Mark. We live in the same house, use the same computer.
Mercenary Lands is made up of 15 nations. Xeraph is directly in control of 12 of them. BWC is not one of them.
This nonsense comes up every now and then. Last time it was an asshole named Axis Nova/Bretton who whined about dog-piling. He insisted that all of the nations in ML were puppets of Xeraph. At the time, only one was. Now, because of the stupid shit he whined about, the others who played as the other nations quit and turned their nations over to Xeraph.

If you read BWC's post, it's simply a response to a post. That's what NS is about. One person posts, another responds to the post. That's how a story is built. If you don't want to play, don't post. If you want to see how the thing turns out, keep posting. BWC said, quite correctly, that there will be NO attack by me or him unless we are attacked first.

2nd, The "Gunship Invasion" which by itself would be considered war
3rd. The attack of a civilian of a differing nationality by Military personnel
4th. The immiment rejection of a more than reasonable proposal
5th. The Deploying of 2 Carrier Battle Groups
(in addition to previous re-counted god-mods)

I know the Mods hate to be told their wrong, but you ARE wrong.

With all due respect, perception is very rarely reality. We've both been around since '03, long enough to no longer need to flex our muscles. You know as well as I do that if nations our size tangled, it would be a MAD situation. Which is stupid.
And as far as your ultimatum, I and BWC had already stated that there was not, nor was there ever going to be, an attack on anyone at any time.

In terms of this game's management you are indistinguishable and hence puppets. It doesn't matter if, in all actuality, you actually are two different people. There's no way to prove it, and hence the ruling.

Plus, as already admitted, 12 out of those 15 are puppets controlled by a single person. Adding a thirteenth to the list with the exact same information as the other twelve isn't exactly a leap of faith when it comes to evidence analysis.

1, Fine, I had no problems with your intel gathering... That's not what I have issue with I was just pointing out that even that was directed at the events later...

This is due to tensions with the Federation.................

Military vessels moving in, or around that area will be looked on with disfavor, to say the least.

Just checking ... so now we've got in the alley, in order of appearance:

The mysterious "David", of The Garbage Men, who jumped down from the roof of a nearby building;

Mr Ehsan from Ilek-Vaad;

Bruce, clad only in newspaper;

Andrea, wearing the remnants of a blue curtain.

David and Mr Ehsan are on the left, against the pub wall; Bruce and Andrea are standing up, near the rubbish pile, apparently about to walk out of the alley (though they'd be crazy to, in their condition); and Andrea's seen both Mr Ehsan and David, which suggests that Bruce has too.

And the "steps" heard earlier weren't someone approaching the alley, but were instead Andrea and Bruce playing chasies inside the pub -- S&B, if they can be heard outside, then the Pub sounds like one of the old wooden kind, with a verandah/balcony above the downstairs bar; I'm thinking the Ettamoggah pub, (http://www.skp.com.au/trips/etta_pub.jpg) yes? Just checking ... so now we've got in the alley, in order of appearance:

The mysterious "David", of The Garbage Men, who jumped down from the roof of a nearby building;

Mr Ehsan from Ilek-Vaad;

Bruce, clad only in newspaper;

Andrea, wearing the remnants of a blue curtain.

David and Mr Ehsan are on the left, against the pub wall; Bruce and Andrea are standing up, near the rubbish pile, apparently about to walk out of the alley (though they'd be crazy to, in their condition); and Andrea's seen both Mr Ehsan and David, which suggests that Bruce has too.

And the "steps" heard earlier weren't someone approaching the alley, but were instead Andrea and Bruce playing chasies inside the pub -- S&B, if they can be heard outside, then the Pub sounds like one of the old wooden kind, with a verandah/balcony above the downstairs bar; I'm thinking the Ettamoggah pub, (http://www.skp.com.au/trips/etta_pub.jpg) yes? (But not necessarily a ute on the roof).

Yeah, Basically. Though the Ettamogah pub was actually a re-creation of a pub that was in a cartoon... apparently nothing in it is "square" or 90 degrees to capture the look of the same pub in the Cartoon.

By there certainly would be a back entrance to the pub... a non-alarmed one that is used only for deliveries and access by the Bruces and Sheilas that are allowed behind the bar. Which aren't many. Bruce will allow them both through the back, or we could have the "Miracle" happen.

We're far from being the worst off, but my house was flooded, the temporary accommodation we're in has only limited computer access, and my boss has this insane belief that I should spend my work time actually working. If I can't get a proper post written in the next couple of days, you'd better assume Andrea has been called back to Lloegeyr, where a political crisis is about to see the overthrow of the existing government and her reappointment to her UN position.

Today's the 11th; give me till the 13th, if you can, and if I haven't posted by then, just write me out. Sorry about this. But it's broken the drought.
