Incorporated States of Zeere seeks defense expansion

Zeere

To: Interested Parties
From: Ministry of Defense, Zeere

Recent issues with piracy and smuggling in Zeere's territorial waters, as well as the growth of aggressive powers across the world have spurred the desire of the Incorporated States of Zeere to modernize our defense forces.

We are currently seeking the necessary equipment to outfit:
1 squadron (12 aircraft) of airborne cavalry - all equipment from sidearms to helicopters and support equipment

1 regiment (2,000-3,000 soldiers) of Riot Control Military Police with nonlethal options and crowd-dispersal equipment

3 armored regiments (6,000- 9,000 soldiers) with Main Battle Tanks and support equipment for maintenance, repair, field refueling and rearming

2 squadrons of multirole aircraft (e.g. fighter-bombers) with air-refueling ability. Also interested in dedicated refueling aircraft for each squadron, and AWACS for airborne monitoring.

After these immediate concerns have been met, there is the possibility of future expansion of naval forces. Also, should a single company or nation supply all our current needs for defense at reasonable prices, the Ministry has been authorized to agree to exclusive business agreements for future purchases.

The Ministry feels it necessary to state that while Zeere has no preference on the origins of the equipment, mixed sources (NATO standard and former Eastern Bloc) will not be accepted.

Col. (retired) Alan Walker, Assistant Minister of Defense

Official Response from Air Force Admiral Franco Gutierrez:

If you require effective fighter bombers, may I suggest GEM's FA 15 Cardinal (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=523062)? Specifically the highly advanced D model. The aircraft serves in over a dozen countries, each with distinction, often serving as the elite aircraft in their respective service.

The advanced features of the Cardinal allow it to pose a threat to any aircraft in the skies, in any direction, in any weather conditions. It is indeed IFR-capable, and can directly link with an AWACS aircraft to see well beyond any other fighter in the skies.

Re: Defense Requirements

Greetings from Consolidated Arms, Inc., the premier arms manufacturer of the Democratic Imperium of Halberdgardia. We have noted your request for military equipment, and believe that we have products that are suitable for your needs.

Our UH-75 "Knighthawk" (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=469375), based off of the venerable UH-60 Black Hawk, would be a superb choice for your airborne cavalry. Swift and heavily-armed and -armored, it is more than capable of transporting men and supplies even to the hottest of battlefields. The -75 series also contains a variety of other helicopters for ground attack, naval, long-range infiltration/extraction, and VIP transport roles, should you require them.

Additionally, our F-175 "Ebonhawk" (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=454568) fighter-bomber provides a superb combination of speed, stealth, and armament that is virtually unmatched on the global market. Even a single Ebonhawk is capable of delivering unprecedented amounts of ordnance to a target, thanks to its unique rotary-launcher system.

We encourage you to thoroughly research both of these designs, and to contact us if you feel that either fits your needs. We look forward to your response.

Respectfully,

We were saddened to hear that the ALHDZSZ corporation would be unable to provide the military vehicles we requested. As for weapons of mass destruction, the Incorporated States of Zeere does not seek such weapons, as they are contrary to our nation's needs and morals. However, we are still interested in acquiring small arms and non-lethal weapons for our own defense and security. Please provide a list of available products for purchase.

The Zeerian Assembly voted today to pass "the Zeerian Protection Act", reorganizing the Incorporated States of Zeere into the Protectorate of Zeere. "We are willing to provide the sale of the latest version of the MBT-66 tank. Armed with a 122mm ETC gun, this is more then adequate at destroying other armored fighting vehicles. It also features a autoloader in a properly designed turret, the tank can reload faster then a tank with a hand-loader. It also comes equipped with the ARENA-2 Active Protection System(APS), which is designed to intercept both unguided rockets and medium-sized anti-tank guided missiles. Please note, the APS will not work against the heavy anti-tank missiles carried by aircraft.

We are selling these tanks at a reasonable price of 8.6 million. We can also throw in a bonus where we will upgrade the MBT-66 to the latest version FREE. We are also willing to provide a years supply of spare parts for each MBT-66 sold, along with a negotiated amount of 122mm ammunition.

For your infantry carrying needs we offer the APC-45. Armed with twin 30mm autocannons, the APC-45s main armament was originally designed to take down aircraft, but was found insanely effective against infantry and lightly armored vehicles. For heavier threats, the APC-45 comes equipped with a launcher for the ATGM-4 'Fire-And-Forget' Anti-Tank Missile. Each launcher can hold four ATGM-4s. The APC-45 can carry ten, fully equipped passengers. Although not sufficiently armored to go up against tanks and heavy APC's, it should be able to withstand small-arms fire and most shoulder carried rocket launchers.

The APC-45 is sold for 2.3 million each, the bonus offer for the MBT-66 also applies to the APC-45.

We look forward to doing buisness with you."

First of all, allow me to apologize for the lateness of my response to your generous message. After reviewing your product catalogue, the Ministry has found several products we would like to purchase: 16 Eva 2 off shore patrol vessels and unlimited production rights for the S1A5 Evolved Assault Rifle and ammunition for a total of 4.4 billion dollars.

With the extensive cost of this order, the Ministry would prefer to purchase the production rights for the S1A5 and ammunition first, with payment up front. Following this, we will pay the price of 4 Eva 2 craft upon delivery every 9 months.

We hope that this arrangement will be suitable for your company.
