Shakal Communcation To COMECON Members

We have recently been informed that The Peoples Freedom has re-asserted its control of North Calvernas. We have asked that a meeting be held to discuss the situation since it involves our friend Vetalia. If possible this could help the situation cool down without the use of excessive force.

Yuo can garuntee that Kampfers will attend this discussion. While TPF happens to have good relations with Kampfers, we will stand next to our brethren in COMECON-SD, UFAN, and the DC in whatever desicion they make.

The Shakal also have string relations with The Peoples Freedom, the problem lies in that our friend Vetalia supports North Calvernas. The Shakal also have had very sucessfull meetings with NC personell. It is a most grave of conundrums.

We are willing to negotiate, but the nation of The PeoplesFreedom refuses to acknowledge that it is behind the spate of attacks against North Calaveras targets and continues to hide behind lack of evidence as a reason why we are unable to take necessary action to protect our strategic interests.

They must provide proof that they are not behind the attacks against the nation of North Calaveras, or else we will assume they are behind them and act accordingly.

We respect the strategic interests that an easily controlled country such as North Calvernas represents, but we ask that you refrain from jumping into a war with an friend of fellow COMECON members. It creates divisions and only suceeds in tearing the cohesion of the alliance apart.

We will not go to war unless TPF refuses to withdraw its blatant support for the forces harassing North Calaveras. Our forces are moving in, but we have yet to give them the word to strike at these enemy targets.

Kampfers will maintain neutrality during this affair. If pressed, however, we will devote ourselves to our alliance's side.

We respect the decision of Kampfers and will support it. War is only the answer in times of more need.

To Shakal:

We have reason to suspect their involvement. There is no other rational explanation for such a strong guerrilla force attacking North Calaveras, especially considering that they already have expressed their intentions to expand their forces in the area.

However, we do not want to engage you, our trusted ally, in a war. We may reconsider this situation if it appears that it will deteriorate beyond a conflict between Vetalia and TPF.

Shakal, our ties are too strong to allow that to happen.

Leocardia will volunteer as the host of the peace conference meeting. Delegates will meet in the KiK City Convention Center.

Attention: We have announced a change in our plans in North Calaveras.

Leocardia, you may host the meeting to discuss our plans for the security of the country and a resolution of the current conflict.

Official Statement by The Greater Honakon Region

We wish to attend this conference discussing the issues about the North Calaveras invasion. It will mostly be in an observer role, however if we feel it is necessary for us to contribute to the discussion, we will do so.

Our stance on the whole situation is quite unclear - we process "good relations" with neither of the nations, however, in some ways we don't trust North Calaveras as a nation, particularly it's involvement in Sons of Lenin, and therefore cannot say we are too fussed about it's fate. Greater Honakon has no wish to go to war with another nation over this issue that means relatively little to us. However, we mostly will maintain a position of following the decision of the respective alliances we are in.

We would like to suggest a larger conference for COMECON-SD to include both the North Calaveras situation and the growing trouble in Droskianishk's southern neighbor Lerasia. It is the belief of King Kutz that these two situations are related. As Droskianishk and Vetalia are both trying to disuade foreign involvment in sovereign nations. As the conflict in both Lerasia and Calaveras seems to bee growing, Droskianishk seeks aid in disuading Mer Des Annuis and Vetalia seeks to disuade TPF, it is our belief that these two nations would be better disuaded by a larger unified front.

While we understand your concern, Kampfers feels that these should be two different meetings. It will eliminate confusion, and we feel that the NC situation currently is more urgent and thus should warrant more attention. Excuse me for saying this, but Lerasia is nothing compared to TPF v Vetalia and Wagdog. But if we aree going to mention other conflicts, then I must bring up the Blub issue. It appears that Blub, Skgorria, and others are going to team up against Hataria. This will draw in the DC and UFAN, who will in turn bring in COMECON, creating an even bigger situation than the one at hand.

No there is no problem in stating the obvious. That is infact the reason we would prefer the Lerasian conflict to be mentioned in this upcomming conference. As it is so small it does not merit its own COMECON conference. Really Droskianishk only seeks political and economic pressures on Mer Des Annuis while the Lerasian Re-Unification Conference is being held in Droskianishk. Droskianishk fears that if Mer Des Annuis cannot be pressured into making some concessions in this conference that an all out war could ensue and considering Droskianishk and Mer Des Annuis are nearly the same size (MDA is slightly larger) that this war could be destructive for the three nations. At this time we do not seek COMECON to use military force against Mer Des Annuis.

Official Statement from the New Manthian Denomination of Foreign Diplomacy

New Manth's position on the issue of North Calaveras is similar to that of Greater Honakon. While we are distressed by the allegations that TPF has been behind recent disturbances in North Calaveras, we cannot help but feel that the North Calaveras government has in some measure brought this upon themselves. We feel that this is even more the case with regard to the Hatarian situation as brought up by the Kampfers representative. Nevertheless, New Manth will stand by its allies in COMECON-SD if our support is required.

I request that all COMECON-SD members withdraw from the conflict with FreeAngola. He has not attacked any of our members, nor will he have the opportunity to do so. There is nothing threatening from FreeAngola, but their mouths, which we can easily ignore. This request should be held at high level, because this conflict is truly wasting COMECON-SD's time and resources, when we can be occupied with better things like the conflict of what's going on with TPF.
