Introducing the KW 22, Auction (ATTN: Storefront owners)

The KW 22 is a new weapon produced by Kampferian Weaponry. We in Kampferian weaponry are looking to give one storefront the sole production rights to this gun. Thus, we are holding an auction for the gun's design. Whomever wins the auction may then sell this gun in their storefront, as the exclusive seller. We in Kampferian Weaponry retain the right to not sell this weapon to certain individuals and their unworthy storefronts.

KW 22 Modern Assault Rifle
History:
Design of this gun began 4 years ago when government-owned Kamferian Weaponry was designated by the government to produce a replacement for Kampfers' aging batch of AK-47's. After extensive research and testing, Kampferian Weaponry produced the KW 22. Some of the best features include: no heat transfer to bolt, a free-floating rail system, a cold-hammer forged barrel, and a trigger with an adjustable pressure setting, that the individual soldier can fine tune to his liking. Naturally the KW 22 comes stock with a single shot, burst fire, and a full automatic mode. The burst fire fires four shots instead of the standard three. This is due in part because the magazine has been upgraded to hold 40 rounds, and that is not divisible by 3. To reduce weight, certain portions of the gun are constructed from a very light but durable plastic. The plastic is strong enough not to crack if dropped, but will not withstand a bullet shot. The KW 22 operates on a short-stroke piston gas system that does not introduce propellant gases back into the weapon's interior, therefore reducing carbon fouling and cleaning time. This gas system is not sensitive to barrel length or ammunition changes, and has user-removable components.

Queries and interest.

Why the decision to utilise the 5.56x45 round, as opposed to one using, say, the 7.62x39 that you no doubt have in vast quantities, given your previous use of the AK-47 series?

Bullpup or conventional?

Where is the safety located?

Where is the ejection opening?

Integral sight? If so, what type? If not, what is the sighting means/attachment means?

Is it compatible with 40mm grenade launcher (such as the BG15 or M203) or other similar attachments?

What is your asking price for production rights?

I'm trying to work on a picture, but it is not coming to well...
Great questions, thanks!

Why the decision to utilise the 5.56x45 round, as opposed to one using, say, the 7.62x39 that you no doubt have in vast quantities, given your previous use of the AK-47 series?

There were numerous reasons for this desicion, but I will expound on only a few. First, the 5.56x45 round is lighter, and weight was a concern when designing this rifle. Secondly, midway thorugh the process, when we decided to move away from the 7.62x39 rounds, we stopped producing that munition. Thus, our stockpiles have begun to shrink. Finally, the implementation of this gun into the Kampferian Army will be slow, and that will allow us to use up all of our excess munitions.

Bullpup or conventional?

Conventional

Where is the safety located?

It is in the fire mode selector. Additionally, a pin (included) can be placed in the rear of the gun during transportation that prevents all firing.

Where is the ejection opening?

It is located on the left, much where the M16 port is. Simple reassmbly can move the port to the right.

Integral sight? If so, what type? If not, what is the sighting means/attachment means?

There is an integral iron sight.

Is it compatible with 40mm grenade launcher (such as the BG15 or M203) or other similar attachments?

Yes, the M203 is the standard grenade launcher for this rifle.

What is your asking price for production rights?

I wasn't sure how much to ask for, so I said that storefronts could bid on it.

Re: KW 22 Assault Rifle Production Rights

We here at Consolidated Arms, Inc., the premier arms manufacturer of the Democratic Imperium of Halberdgardia, are intrigued by this design. As such, we wish to bid the sum of $250 million for unlimited production rights. We would also like to inquire as to the possibility of modifying or even re-designing elements of the weapon under the aforementioned production rights contract.

Respectfully,
Consolidated Arms, Inc. Board

We at Kampferian Weaponry thank you for your generous offer. We would like to wait for a short time before officially selling the rights to you, but consider yourselves the front-runner for now. If you are to modify the sold weapon, it will be allowed, however, we request that you send us the redesigned plans, and allow us to use them if we deem they are a worthy improvement.

Sincerely,
Zach Polli,

We would like to place a bid of 1 billion dollars to obtain the exclusive manufacturing rights for our country, we however do not currently have a storefront nor any real plans to make one. We'd simply like to have technology to call our own without any pesky R&D, is this acceptable?

Official Reply:

In that case, we will be willing to sell you limited production rights for the mentioned price. That means no resale or modifications without permission. If you do wish to modify the gun, please notify us, and we will collaborate with you. After all, you may think up something that we want on our guns too...

These terms are acceptable to us, and we will counter the Free Shepmagan bid with an offer of $1.25 billion.
