First year of the new Hiigaran calender
High orbit over Hiigara, code named Resource point 14

It had been a year since the Kushan people had finally reached Hiigara, after watching thier supposed home world of Kharak burned by the Taiidan empire. Now the Taiidan lay in ruins, the emperor dead and its fleets scattered. Fitting payment for the near genocide at Kharak. For nearly a year now the Kushan people had been rebuilding thier old home, sending out resource collecting fleets to keep the materials available to the Mothership come shipyard which hung in orbit around thier reclaimed home.

Tyon Somtaaw stared from his place on the bridge of the Resource controller Theta-4, watching as his new home slowly span, taking the orbital facilities and the legendary Mothership with it.

The Mothership was now forced into the role of shipyard and foundry, creating necessary equipment and prefabricated structures for the restoration effort taking place on Hiigara, and of course it needed materials to do this. Vast numbers of resourcing fleets were scattered around the outlying systems that surrounded Hiigara, harvesting the materials needed by the Mothership. Tyon turned his gaze from the view screen to the holographic display which showed the entire system and all of the ships in it. Carefully he checked that the five resource collectors he would be commanding were in position for the series of jumps that would take them to the Aryon Nebula, and then turned his attention to the operations combat escort. The escort wing consisted of six defender class fighters and two heavy corvettes, as well as an assault frigate. A comparatively small force it would be enough to defend the operation should pirate's attack, at least until help could arrive from one of the Warrior Kiiths.

Satisfied Tyon gave the order to make the first jump, covering a distance of 1000 light years, then watched as the corvettes and fighters locked into the support frames on the Controller, refueling them as well as pulling them through hyperspace. When all the strike craft were locked he gave the order to engage the controllers Hyperspace core. With a small flash a purple dot appeared in front of the ship, which grew into a horizontal line and then finally a hyperspace window. Slowly the window moved to wards Theta-4, pulling it forward into hyperspace.

In the Sol system, on the outskirts of Mars's orbit a group of purple dots appeared....

For the second time in a very short period, alarms went off in multiple small five-man sensor stations across the solar system. Once again, worried messages were sent to Giza HQ.

"GHQ this is Perimeter Eye Five Emergency, reporting large-scale perimeter breach, multiple unidentified contacts have just jumped into the system. Please advise."

"Perimeter Eye Five, power down and go to passive. Mjolnir is inbound. Look out, they've been straining at the leash to get that thing out of spacedock, they'll be coming in fast."

"Roger that GHQ, Perimeter Eye Five powering down and going to passive."

It was just over a minute before the prototype X-305 Mjolnir burst into view, a 550-metre long boxy grey ship vaguely resembling the X-304, but featuring the prominent rear fins and wings common on Asgard warships, and instead of being studded with external railgun positions seven apertures could be seen placed across the hull, under which were energy cannons taken from Asgard designs. Two guns were placed on the dorsal and ventral surfaces roughly at the middle of the ship, with one each on the wings, and a final one was placed at the very front of the ship.
The bridge of the Mjolnir was much the same as the bridges of the BC-303 and 304 ships, but instead of the glass-panelled maps were holographic prjectors displaying sensor readings on maps of the area. On a chair at the centre of the bridge sat Colonel William May of the USAF contingent of Giza. A veteran of the Coreward front and Giza's first choice for commanding the prototype heavy destroyer. Flicking a few switches on the instrument panel in front of him, May opened a communications channel to the group of ships just beyond Mars.

"You have broken the Earth Protective Perimeter. Please explain your reasons for doing so and prepare for inspection for weapons and contraband items."

One of the many nondescript junior crewmembers whose job it was to run around the ship ferrying reports to and from different sections sprinted red-faced into the bridge and handed the Colonel a report.

Engineering reporting reactor at 90% projected output. Something's cutting off 10% and until we find it we won't be able to keep this ship at top combat efficiency. If you're planning a fight, I wouldn't just yet.

Tyon stared at the other members of his bridge crew as the heavy destroyer pulled up along side the convoy. Obviously someone had made a rather large error when plotting the jump courses to the Nebula. Quicky sending a message across the convoy channel ordering passive tactics across all ships. He then opened a channel to the unknown ship. "This is Hiigaran Resource collection fleet Theta-4 to unknown Earth vessel, we are on route to the Nebula Aryon and our plotted course takes us through this system. We were unaware that it was inhabited and so jumped in as part of our set flight plan. We have disengaged all weapon systems and will submit to be scanned by your forces. However, attacking our forces will result in immediate action by the Hiigarn Goverment, Theta-4 out"
Then, turning to the comm's officer said "inform Fleet command that we have made contact with an unknown spesice and that we require diplomatic asistance"

Hiigaran system
From her place inside the Motherships Hyperspace core Karen S'Jet was monitoring the status of all the systems on the Mothership that were in use, as well as reciving countless messages per second from electronic systems on the ship and from the few resource fleets that were out gathering resources to help rebuild thier home. She had been fleet command for over a year now, ever since she offered her self to be intergrated into the Mothership to become its living core computer, and even though she was no longer needed aboard and Hiigaran scientists had found a way remove her safely her had opted to stay were she was until all other Hiigarans had take up residence on the surface. At the current restoration speed that was still two years away, but Karen was fine waiting.

When Theta-4's message came through she read it through several times before making her decision. As fleet command S'Jet had control over all part of the Hiigaran fleet, but when the Kushan had arrived at Higara she was seen as thier savior, and until the Kiith council was resurrected at the end of the Restoration program Karen had been put in overall charge of the Hiigaran people.

Openning a ship wide channel Karen simple said this "Preper the ship to cast off from orbital anchors, the Mothership has atleast one last mission to complete".
Across the entire ship cheers could be heard from the ships crew, who longed to return to the time when they were at the front the action, instead of being forced into Shipyard work.

Slowly, the massive power plants which powered the Motherships huge Hyperspace module began to come back online, and the module began to charge for a jump to the Sol system.

"Roger that, Theta-4. Hold position."

The powerful scanning equipment of the Mjolnir went to work on the Hiigaran resource collectors, searching for anything that could seriously threaten the people of Earth. The tactical officer began reading out the findings.

"Projectile weapons, solid plate armour and no shields. High capacity for cargo, presumably to accomodate whatever it is they're collecting. FTL systems appear to be from a different and more advanced technological base to the rest of the ship."

"Alright, inform the Hiigarans that they're cleared to move along, or do whatever they have to do."

"Aye sir."

Hiigaran resource fleet: you have been scanned and found to be carrying no illicit items or weapons systems. You are cleared to be present in this Solar System for as long as is required. This clearance may however be revoked at any time at the request of Earth's United Nations Giza Council.

"Roger Earth vessl, we have contacted our homeworld and they wish to send a diplomatic representative to your home planet to facilitate comunications, please inform us if they have permission to enter the system, Theta-4 out."

Slowly the resource fleet began to move away from the Earth vessel, heading towards thier next jump point in the orbital plane if Venus.

Hiigaran resource fleet: your diplomatic representative has been cleared for access to the solar system. Please direct your representative to move into orbit of the moon of the third planet and contact the settlement there.

At recieving the message form the Hiigarans, the Giza HQ on Atlantis started to buzz with a level activity much higher than the usually sedate city was used to. Security teams of several nations patrolled the corridors and the permanent diplomatic staff were prepared for a meeting. A conference room on the central tower with a view of the cityscape was cleared for any meeting that might occur in the city.

Hiigaran system
"Mothership, all systemsshow normal, we are releasing locks....now!" came the voice from Scafold control

Slowly, with a muted roar the Mothership pulled out of the cage shaped Scafold station, the stations front gates opnning to allow it to leave. When it was about a KM away from the station Its hyperdrive engages, taking it into the orbit of Earhs moon. From her place in side the Motherships core Karen S'Jet openned a channel to Atlantis.
"This is Karen Sjet, leader of the Hiigaran people, We are perepring Diplomates as I speak, please preper a landing port for them"

"Hiigaran spacecraft this is Atlantis Control, your landing craft is cleared for pier three, we are lowering the shield and opening the bay doors."

Because of the relocation of Atlantis to the airless moon, several large airlock structures now covered the piers, capable of holding and scanning ships up to 650 metres long for contamination, in pressurised conditions with a variety of atmospheric conditions capable of being reproduced.

On the other side of the doors to the pier, a team of marines and one of Giza's many suited functionaries stood nervously awaiting the arrival of the Hiigarans, unsure of what to expect. Experience said they would most likely be human or something humanoid. A message flashed on one of the computer screens on the wall of the entrance.

Contamination scan clean. Doors unlocked.
