its the 1950s. The second world war has ended. Mussolini's grip on the islands off the coast of italy has long since fallen. On the small island of Castellemarse del Mar, the population is still recovering from the brutal hold of Mussolini. The wealthy landowners have lost much of their land, and the wealth of the island is presently being redistributed through a socialized welfare program. And in exchange for their support of the American invasion of italy, the local mafiosi now run the food program, as well as everything else absolutely, with an iron fist.


Now, slowly, Turkish opium is entering Castellemarse Del Mar, with refineries processing it into even stronger heroin for sale abroad, allowing even more power to the resident mafiosi. But some will not stand for this. The local workers party has grown even more bold, despite threats and assasination of leaders, now publicly staging rallies, and threatening to bring communism one step closer to italy. How will the local men of respect and their CIA supporters respond to this?

History: Santini was born in the small Sicillian town of Porticello. His father was a fisherman and mother wove rugs. He lived an average life in an island dominated by the mafia which his father detested. His father and mother instilled good morals in him, teaching him to be respectful, humble, and do what's right. When Mussolini came to power, his father, a strong union man was betrayed and captured by a fellow unionist. He was then forced to join the army and participated in the failed Italian invasion of Greece where he was wounded. Upon returning to Sicily at an Italian Base he recuperated and met a young nurse named Bianca. They fell in love and one day, Dante escaped and made a periless journey back to his hometown where he joined the small partisan movement in Sicily. He became a Socialist during this time and participated in several operations. Once Allied Forces entered Sicily and Italy surrendered, his band openly attacked German and Fascist supporters. Once the war ended he took a job at a machine factory and rose to foreman. There he became a key figure in the worker's union. He opposes the Mafia, blaming them for the betrayal of his father and seeing the grip of fear they held over the island for years. Dante also opposes the increasing flow of drugs through the island and believes it as a threat to society. He married Bianca upon returning to his hometown and they had two children, Elena and Sergio.

Thank you. This rp shows promise. I think the rp would be equally as great even without the KGB and CIA.

I don't plan on the CIA or the KGB having a large presence in the RP, but rather as behind-the-scenes financiers. Its always fun to have foreign interests represented/imposed during a struggle for freedom.
