Oil Discovery of the Century Redux [Attn. Oil Companies]

The Silver Sky

OOC: Open, competetive bidding here, you can try to take over something forcibly, but prepare to be slaughtered. Blackhelm is still under ignore.

Oil Divisions are like this; 12.666 trill barrels for me, 4.222 trillion for DP Inc. [Mekugi], 1.408 trill for GP [Hamp], and the rest of the sections rest of the sections.

OOC2: Basically same as the other with alot better math, more actual RP, some shadiness also >.>

IC:

Fyre Sea, Skyian Economic Exclusion Zone, 600km Southwest of Basset City, The Silver Sky

The sea was a buzz with hundreds of ships and helicopters moved about the waters stretching from 420km west of Porto Diego to 600km southwest of Bana City.

Thousands of bouys were being laid by ships and helicopters, effectively dividing up the the large section of water into zones that spread for hundreds of kilometers.

However there was one section of water that was much larger then the others, and it had various rigs being constructed or lowered into the water. They were not regular rigs, but rather, oil rigs, with the words 'Black Gold Incorporated' emblazend in gold paint on the sides.

Thousands, if not tens thousands of these construction were placed within the boundries of the largest section of water. An oil find on this scale had never happened in the history of humanity, over 29.56 trillion barrels, maybe more, were estimated to be underneath these waters.

We Buy It Inc. Headquarters, North Point, The Silver Sky

"...So in conclusion that is why we only want this certain amount of oil, it's light and sweet and can be refined without much cost, this is the area held by Black Gold Inc. Direct Petroleum Incorporated, and Global Petroleum will receive the intermediate, sweet portion, number 9 on the map, for their help in exploration." Explained on executive.

"What does that leave us?" Asked another.

"That leaves us 8 sectors, of heavy, sour petroleum, this stuff is like peanut butter and smells like rotton eggs, if we drill this refining cost will soar, not really profitable in the long term, at least to the extent we want it to be, we'd be better off just leaving it, but that's wasting money, I suggest we sell it."

"Oil, Powering the Future"

Almost six months ago, ocean surveyors were combing along the ocean floor in the Fyre Sea, within territorial waters of The Silver Sky for ancient ruins, ship wrecks and new sea life. However, they only found a few shipwrecks, they came upon something even more valuable and useful.

They stumbled upon oil, not just tiny pockets of it, but an area in excess of 1200x600km along the ocean, by our estimations the area holds around 29.56 trillion barrels of oil. Now, we have set aside an area of 12.666 trillion barrels for ourselves, enough to take care of our demand for over 100 years, and an area with 4.222 trillion barrels have already been sold to Direct Petroleum Incorporated, a company from Mekugi, and another 1.408 trillion barrels has been awarded to Global Petroleum for their help in exploration cost.

However, we lack the immediate resources, to utilize the rest of the oilfields, and even if we could it would incure excessive manpower cost, thus we decided that the correct course of action would be to divide the rest of the oilfields into eight sectors, and hold competetive bidding for those sectors. Each of these sectors hold approximately 1.408 trillion barrels of oil. A map of the oilfields is available here (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/68157Silver/OilThingycopy.png).

We have assigned sector one to be the first sector to be up for bidding, bidding shall start at $2.816 Trillion USD. Bids can be made with money, objects of appropriate value, we also accept companies as payments, using the value of their assests instead of money.

We also will allow payments to be made over a maximum of 5 years, but the missing of any deadline [payment much be given once per calender year] will result in your oil field being blockaded until we receive our payment, not paying after this or excessive number of missed payments will result in your oilfield being taken over.

OOC: Accordingly the oil lies international waters for the most part and in turn shouldn’t we all have the right to pump it as we see fit without having to worry about your claim?

You do realise that for a fossil fuel, that is almost an inconceivable amount of life that has been converted.
I mean, thirty trillion barrels is almost fifteen times as much oil as is believed to be present on THE ENTIRE EARTH, it's simply too much to claim.
It's like if I claimed to find a gold deposit that was 100 km square, of almost pure gold, or a similar size of some rare-earth.
Granted NS earth is very large, but for this much oil to be in one area's you'd have to be a lot, lot larger than the Earth itself.
