The Free Dominion of Vetaka, Haven:

Moving an Army of 250,000 men across the world was a logistical headache but moving an entire nation with a population of over 700 Million and their belongings was logistical hell. However Vetaka was about to embark upon this mission. After a huge amount of public consultation and a referendum on the subject the Vetakan People had voted in record numbers in favour of mass migration. As a result for years now the Vetakan Government and the Vetakan Defence Force had been planning the migration building up its Transport Capacity and preparing for the massive Operation. Known as Operation: Exodus it involved moving the entire Vetakan Population of 771 million people and their belongings. It also involved moving whole buildings of Vetakan Pride and Honour.

Although the operation had been delayed abit slightly because of the Vetakan-Clandonian War. It wasn't to far behind its preset schedule to cause great delay however. The VDF had been moving Strategic and Key Assets to the New Land for years now slowly building up the new nation. However the "big week" and main move was now just on the horizon. The big week would see much of the Vetakan Population leave their lands aboard Thousands of Ships and Thousands of Planes. The Exodus had begun.

VDFNS Theeb, Exodus Command Centre, Theeb Harbour, Vetaka:

The VDF's usual Operational Command Centre was a rather prestigious building located in the centre of Theeb. However due to the migration the nations Naval Flagship The massive Royal Sovereign Class Superdreadnought the Vetakan Defence Force Naval Ship (VDFNS) Theeb was acting as the Command and Contol Centre for the Operation. The Vetakan High Command led by President Rogers were had come aboard Theeb and settled in rather well co-ordinating the massive Operation from the Command Room abaord the Theeb Operation: Exodus had now entered into its biggest and most important phase. Much of the Populations General Belongings where on their way to the new lands however now it was the turn of the majority of the people to move. The Vetakan Government had rented as many ships and planes it could from the Private Sector of Vetaka as well as rented as many ships it could on the International Private Sector. The Vetakan Defence Force over the years had also greatly increased its Transport Capacity buying large numbers of Transport Planes and Passenger Planes.

As the sun rose above Theeb the Operation had trully got under way. Theeb International Airport just like every other Airport, Airfield and Air Base across Vetaka was now packed with Vetakans all waiting to board Planes to the new land. In the nations ports and harbours again Vetakans waited to board Ships to the New Lands. The Government via the VDF had planned every detail in this operation. The Exodus would be slow and constant all the People had been given and Extraction Time and Point and they would be evacuated at that time. The Migration would go on for as long as was nessary until all those whom wanted to move where moved. Although the majority of the Population wanted to move some 100,000 had elected to remain. The Government had allowed them to and those whom stayed would retain Vetakan Citizenship.

As for Vetaka's current lands they would become the lands of a Haven Nation one that had already been chosen and approached.

Theeb International Airport, Theeb, Vetaka:

Theeb International Airport is the largest and the most modern airport within Vetaka. Orignally a Military Airbase the airport was converted and heavily exapanded now with some 5 Terminals she was the Focal Point of much of Vetaka's Inbound Air Travel. Today most Inbound Air travel had been either cancelled or redirected instead the Airports 5 Terminals played host to thousands of famillies all clutching baggage and posessions as they all waited for their Flights to be called and their Paperwork checked.

Vetakan Defence Force Troops and Military MP's watched over this organized chaos ready to police any trouble and protect the people from harm. The Airports internal PA system was now a constant din of annoucements regarding outgoing flights as well as the usual security announcements such as "Do not Leave Baggage unattended".

Out on the Tarmac Vetaka was managing to get 5 Planes out of the Airport every 30 Seconds. As a result the noise outside of the building was deafening as aircraft roared taking off just as more came into land. All types of Aircraft where now being used from Military Heavy Lifters to Passenger Jets. Although accidents where unlikely the Airports Emergancy Services now maintained an Emergancy Standby Procedure ready to respond to any situation that could possibily develop.

The 500 C-130s began their flight to Vetaka in staggered waves from airbases all across The Community. Each plane carried supplies and engineers to oversee the construction of temporary facilities that would care for the Vetakan citizens, before being returned to The Community to gather additional supplies to aid in the move.

The vehicles used for moving the actual people were the new experimental aircraft that had just undergone the first series of test flights in Siap. The Skyetech Type 27 Logistical carrrier was, to say the least, a monstrosity. The original design was from the H-4 Hercules, however, the construction was entirely redone with carbon nanotubes, insuring increased stability. As with the Spruce Goose, the Type 27 could carry nearly ten times the cargo capacity of any of its rivals. Unlike the original spruce goose, however, it used rubber and nitrous oxide rockets for its initial takeoff.

The true innovation with this aircraft was its use of nitrazine bundles in the airframe that, upon reaching a certain altitude, would ignite and release hydrogen gas that would suspend the plane in the stratosphere. The primary engines, propeller engines, would then engage, powered by the vast array of solar panels on the roof of the plane.

The Type 27 was completely impractical for anything except for a project this ludicrous in size.

Vetakan Exodus Command, VDFNS Theeb, Theeb Harbour, Vetaka:

President Scarlet Rogers had achieved alot in her short time in Office now she was directing the moving of an entire nation. Since Operation: Exodus had begun the Vetakan High Command had met every morning and evening to review the situation. Since the usual Vetakan Operational Command had been dismantled and rebuilt within the new land the Navys Flagship was acting as the VDF's Command Centre. President Rogers sat observing the various monitors and listerning to the various updates before asking the question everybody was dying to know the answer to:

"How many have left?"

Supreme Commander Stone checked his Laptop and carried on:

"We have been running 24/7. We have evacuated 783 Million. We hope to get 1.8 Million out within the hour and the remaining 150,000 will be traveling aboard the Fleet."

Vetakan Exodus Command, VDFNS Theeb, Theeb Harbour, Vetaka:

It was now 4:00 am in the morning, the sun was beginning to rise a smooth breeze blew across the Harbour. The harbours activity had finally fallen silent as all the Vetakans whom intended to migrate had either left or where aboard the fleet ready to leave. The beautiful island of Newman lay more or less empty with just 100,000 occupants where before some 700 Million had occupied the Island. Now all were aboard most finally slept however President Scarlet Rogers was up and now dressed in Ceromonial Robes all that remainded to do was to formally hand the lands over to the Questeraians.

Turning on her Heel she left the bridge of the ship and made her way to the Helipad where she took the Helicopter back into downtown Theeb to lead the ceromony.

The Square of Freedom, Theeb, Vetaka:

The Square of Freedom was in actual fact the courtyard of the Senate building in the centre of the yard was a singlle Flagpole where the Flag of the Free Dominion of Vetaka fluttered gracefully in the morning breeze. Scarlet was now on horseback a beautiful White Stallion called Lighting stood tall and proud to Scarlets left was a man Jonathon Stone Supreme Operational Commander of the Vetakan Defence Force he was mounted on a bold Black Stallion known as the Bishop. To Scarlets right a second man was mounted on yet another black stallion except this Man was dressed in his Tribal Robes which in this case were pure White, he was Chief of the White Phoenix Tribe Quicksilver. Behind the 3 leaders were 20 Mounted horseman 10 of them dressed in VDF Cermonial Dress the 10 others dressed in Tribal Robes.

As they stood opposite the Questerians Scarlet was the first to speak launching herself into a well practiced speech:

"My friends. It is an honour to see you here today, I Scarlet Rogers President and Lord Govenor of the Free Dominon of Vetaka leader of the Vetakan People welcome you to these lands. It is shameful that as you arrive we depart. However it is something that must be done. My you enjoy these lands as we have enjoyed them. May you protect these lands as we have protected them over the years.

I am proud to hand these lands to you and I am confident that in the protection of your King and of you they will remain free and a Haven for the True and the Innocent. You the defenders of Freedom, Honour and Peace. My Questerian friends I wish you nothing but luck and hope that we may meet again. May I Formally hand these lands into your charge."

Following this Commander Stone moved forward, saluted the flag with his sword and began to lower it. As he did this the Ultra Modern Vetakan National Anthem began to play. The song called "A Faith of the Heart" it was best known as the Theme Song of Star Trek: Enterprise. At the end of the British Occupation in 1992 and also the end of the Vetakan Civil War it was deemed the song "A Faith of the Heart" best reflected the struggle of the Vetakan People. Once the song had finished and the flag had been taken down. Scarlet again began to speak:

"We honour you with a gift. A sword forged in the mountains of these lands. I present to you the Sword of Old Vetaka."

A mounted horse man slowly approached the Questerians they saluted him he saluted back and handed over a large long presentation box. Returning to the Vetakan Battlion Commander Stone began:

"Guard of Honour Present"

In perfect military timing and order all of the Vetakans drew their polished swords from their scabbards drawing from the left with the right hand they rose the sword on the right to above their heads brought it back down to the centre of there face and then again brought sword to below their bodies on the right a perfect mounted Vetakan Salute. Before they left Scarlet made one last comment:

"May Honour and Freedom Always Prevail"

With that the Vetakans Turned and left galloping away through the empty streets of the city. It took just 20 minutes ride to return to the Harbour boarding their ships. Scarlet returned to the bridge and gave the order:

"Admiral Hornblower. It is time"

With that the massive Vetakan Naval Fleet began to slowly lumber out and meet up with the rest of the Vetakan Fleet. Finally the Vetakans where leaving Haven whether or not they would ever return only time would tell.

Communiqué from the Blessed Kingdom of Dyelli Beybi
