Invasion from Beyond the Void OOC Thread

This is the OOC Thread for his RP Thread:

http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=524645

Any and all complaints shall be put here, as well as any discussion, to prevent clutter.

OOC: Alright, Hat. I have had it up to the height of the fricking Empire States building with this metal bullshit. I don't care if it came from another dimension or if it came from my ASS, that thing cannot be destroyed by just PLASMA! If I fire enough rockets, shells or whatever weapon, hell, even ROCKS at it, it will blow up and go BOOM.

It is not invincible because you SAY it is. Just because you made up a metal, gave it a name and made it all uber in your mind, does not make it so. Your ships are at average level. TFU and mine are not. They are very high tech and high quality. Therefore, the missiles would be blowing the SHIT out of you. I don't know about UNSC Wasp or O Boyce, they would have to tell us how many ships they have and their population for us to find that out.

I let the over six thousand ship spam go, though I asked you to not do that, and I even let go about the whole wormhole thing. I, however, will not let go of this metal thing. You want to rp a large fleet, fine, but if it is as large as the your population number with the 1000 ship per bill, they ain't gonna be fucking Star Destroyers.

So, I best be seeing some fucking damage, or so help me God, I will go ripshit and do what Amazonian did in you MT war. I will just take the same amount of damage per ratio as you do, which considering the tech difference, would be minimal.

And if it keeps going, I may consider the IGNORE option.

I have told you about that metal many damn times. But you cannot seem to listen, as actions have shown. Now, the gloves are off and I ain't taking it any more.

Trust me, if you want reasons why this metal won't work, ask anyone, hell, Balrogga will give you plenty of answers as to why it won't work, with all the factors in place.

Now, if anyone wants to comment or make any complaints, this is the thread to do so.

I got lost and no one really replied to me....Can I still fit in, I wonder?

I did reply to you. Hang on. It was part of a post...

http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=524645&page=8

The big post by me on the page, 11th post on the page, number 116 on the right side.

You can still fit in fine.

Basically, after you came in, Hataria brought in his 6000 ship fleet and I forced them to come into the system edge by FTLi and they had to go by normal engine power, which takes around an hour. UNSC forces from an alliance I am in, O Boyce and UNSC Wasp, appeared to help me and have sent a salvo at Hat's forces before falling back. Sephiroth has warped in some ships and TFU is there, having fired some missiles and is remaining at the defensive line.

Oh and Balrogga dropped some objects around Harvest.

Does that help?

I have a single question to ask about this metal.

If the only things that can even scratch the stuff are black holes and something that gets as hot as a star like plasma, how were you able to forge all those componants to the fine specifications that you couls make the parts of the ships out of them?

You would have to use a sustained nuclear reaction as your forge which would not only destroy the atmosphere of your planet but irradiate the metal with such high levels of contamination that it would take thousands of years before you could even think of getting close to it in protective gear.

Those levels of radiation would also cause fatal damage to any electronics you placed in the ships so even if you were able to crew them, the ships would not work. The doors would not even open unless you used a hand crank to open and shut them manually.

The metal would be so radioactive it might actually warm up. There is no way to know for sure because it is completely fictional metal so there is no way to compare it to real stuff.

Saying it is "dimensional" does not excuse it from these questions. I know because I also use a metal from another dimension called Thur'Tahg, but that is another discussion for another time. I will only say it is nowhere near the invulnerability levels you placed on this.

My last point is from the way you described your home, it is another timeline you come from, not another dimension. The difference can be stated in laymans terms as alternate timelines are based on events that caused a difference (your Shivan attack plot) while dimensions are based on different physics (PI= 4.1415927 instead of 3.1415927, light speed = 286,000 miles per second instead of 186,000 miles per second, ect...). I have chosen to overlook this because many people don't know the difference and it really would not make a difference at this point.

I also forgot to mention it was somehow made from every alloy in the universe....

And thank you Bal, you have articulated in a way I just can't.

Yeah...this is what I thought would happen when I pulled out of this thread before I even got in (intended to get in, originally).

Ah, I was wondering where you went.

Well, for the sake of Bal, TFU and Seph, I have been continuing the thread, but yes, I expected this too.

Call it training so I dont fly off the handle all the time when people do this.

I have noticed something that bothers me.

It seems people are not responding to Seph's posts. That is not fair and down right rude. Please, he is one of the defenders and if you don't respond to his attacks or maneuvers, that could mean they were not defended against. In that particular battlefield, the only thing I have there are those mysterious stations I left in orbit that have remained silent and unresponsive. So far the only activity from them has been massive sensor scans. If I had actual vessels in that arena I would be responding to his posts.

We are all supposed to be cooperative players here and internet etiquette demands we all treat each other with equal respect.

Can everyone (so as not to single anyone out unfairly) please be sure to respond to his posts? Wouldn’t it bother you if you were ignored like this?

alot of this stuff makes sense, but the problem is, half the time, with the exception of Telros, it is hard to figure out what the hell is going on.....one moment it is a standard space battle, then there are wormholes, weird messages and stuff, i have tried my best to keep up but the confusion remains...lol....i am getting the jist of the entire situation though.

A apologise for any confusiont that was caused by my actions.

The Strike force with my ships was origionally in Telros' main system (his Sol system) while Hataria's invasion is taking place in the Harvest. He sent defenders there and I placed a defense system in orbit at Harvest to stand as the last defense of the planet if it comes tot hat. It is a type of planetary sheild but that is of course OOC Info.

Telros', TFU's, and my ship were planning on taking the battle straight to the Empress by using the fragments of one of his vessels to determine where they came from and then shifting there. When we arrived (Hataria posted while I was typing the post) she had already moved through their wormhole into the Harvest System. We followed them through their wormhole appearing behind the Empress and blocking her escape. Telros put up another FTLi to keep her here and I sent an Envoy over to try talking her into stopping the madness.

Phew! That's alot.

But seriously, Seph has real bad dislexia and I do admit his posts are short and sometimes confusing. He tries real hard to participate and has taken a lot of shit, ridicule, and down right rudeness from other players over the years. Most people would have given up (including me) but he stuck through this whole time. We should still try to include everyone that is participating to be fair.

Everything Bal said and more.

Seph is not closed to suggestions. In fact, many times he and I discuss things, whether doing one action is too much and setting up rps. He is a good rper in the sense that he tries and is willing to be fair. His posts are hard to read, yes, and he does not post a lot. However, he is a good guy and I will echo Bal's sentiments:

If he posts something, I damn well better expect some replies, confusion about the threat notwithstanding.

Will everyone please post all their resources they have in this RP. It will make things easier if everything is all in a single place.

Here is a quote of my origional post:

The fleet split up and met at two points in the system while remaining within T-Space. The primary group settled near The Terra’s Pride about two light seconds away. The Avatar Carrier (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/avatar.jpg) was flanked by its two Impaler Battleships (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/kythonbattleship2.jpg) as well as four Infiltrator Cruisers (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/Infiltrator1.jpg) and three Interceptor Destroyers (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/interceptor.jpg). Finally there were five Infernal Frigates (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/kythonfrigate.jpg)forming the outer shell of the escort formation.

The secondary grouping consisted of three Infernal Frigates and a single Interceptor Destroyer. They positioned themselves separated a bit away from both the shark-like Kahn and the defender’s ships. One of the frigates positioned itself alongside The Kahn, one behind and above the ship, and yet the third below and slightly to the side. There were no firing positions that would result in friendly fire. The Desire, an Interceptor Class Destroyer positioned itself directly in front of the behemoth. All positions were out of range of the point defenses of both groupings.

Size Chart of my ships (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/shipchartregular.jpg)

Before I make my IC post, I need to offer up several quotes from previous posts that are pertinent to this situation. I will do so in chronological order to make things easier.

First when we arrived our first message to you was in post #163 found HERE (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12717110&postcount=163)

Attention alien invaders.

This is Commander Se’Vir of the Balrogga Empire. I am sending an Envoy over to talk to you. I suggest you allow it to land otherwise this situation will not be resolved to your liking. The best ships from three of the forces defending this system are standing between you and your escape. By the time you are listening to this an FTLi will have been set up to prevent your escape. If you try to bumrush your station through us I will destroy the wormhole either through Gravity Manipulation, Dimensional Technology, or simply causing it to collapse by opening another wormhole within it. All three methods works quite well.

Before you decide to fight, I feel it is my duty to inform you my battlegroup alone possesses the ability to destroy several stars with just our conventional weapons. I cannot speak for my allies but I am quite confident they can handle themselves quite well on their own. One more thing to consider, we collected samples from your Shark and have determined the weakness your armor possesses.

I suggest you allow the Envoy to land and consider the options that would result in the least bloodshed. The choice it yours and yours alone, Empress.

Please notice that if you attempt to use the WH, it will be collapsed.

Then later on you attempted to bring in a black hole under Seph’s ships. Telros made this reply in post 169 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12757801&postcount=196):

My FTli stops wormholes from forming because it interferes with spatial distortion. This includes black holes, so it cannot be used here.

That means you cannot make a wormhole appear so you would have to use the one that was triggered for destruction to use any to leave.

Another problem is your ship leaving the Fort. It was told to you ICly by the Envoy in post 213 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12765651&postcount=213)

“Empress? I have been given the permission to allow you a single chance to change your mind. Those are going to return in moments along with another volley from the Battlegroup. You will be caught in the middle with no place to go. By now you would have noticed your progress has been halted by our anchors. We can tow stars about by them so you cannot break the linkage. Any vessels launched from this fortification other than myself will be annihilated. You are all alone and your forces are an hour away. You cannot win. The next move we take against this station will destroy it.”

That was also quoted by Terlros in post 218 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12767306&postcount=218)

In post 219 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12767306&postcount=219) you stated:

a odd Dragonfly like ship soon gone out of The StarFort and headed for The Colony Ships and The other Civilian Ships. all of which soon started to go into the The Wormhole and disappered..

As demonstrated those escapes were already taken into consideration and contingencies were in place in case you tried to use them. Any wormhole that appeared through Telros’ FTLi would have been stuffed with another forming within it causing a collapse. The same is true for the pre-existing one used to arrive here that was behind the ships, blocking its access.

There are means in place for you to talk directly to Telros ICly through the waiting Envoy. That is one of the reasons I sent him in instead of just spamming your fort with those Torps. I tried to make it possible to end this whole thing the right way.

Why don’t you talk with Telros and negotiate.

If you don’t, I will have to actually take an offensive action, but I think things could end without that.

My plans were to collapse the WH, put a Dimensional Bubble around the Star Fort, and then redirect those torps into the civilian ships. Any ships trying to escape the Fort would be either trapped or destroyed. The Envoy is disposable and always has been. If you would have attacked it, the Envoy would have melted into a puddle of black metal.

Now i know there is alot of fighting going on and at the moment the Remians are on the run away from Harvest, but were they ever driven out of the Sol system. I am really confused. If anyone could clear that up.

I just read some of my old posts. I'm now amazed at my own foolishness. Anyway, I (finally!) completed my other thread, and now that I look at this one it's too bad I can't join.
