Although the opportunity to make large amounts of money from this endeavour exists, we are forced to ask what possible need a 'defence force' would have with a cruise liner? Our fleet is neither designed nor intended to be used in warfare, nor would we allow its rental for that purposes.

In the case that you are utilising them for something completely benign, such as non-invasive troop movements, we can offer two of our largest cruise liners, boasting a maximum compliment of 3,200 passengers and just over 1,000 crew, for a rental cost of J-350,600,000.00 per annum each. We also possess five middling liners with a capacity of 1,500 passengers and 750 crew, with a rental cost of J-220,000,000.00 per annum each. Two of these 1,500 capacity ships are currently undergoing scheduled refits and will be delayed launching by one month. Given the nature of your organisation, additional insurance costs will need to be factored in. Although the rental of this amount of ships will damage our scheduling somewhat, we feel that the additional profits will cover the costs and the launch of our largest ship one month ago will be able to pick up some of the slack. Any further rentals will not be possible at this time, however.

After much research the Vetakan Defence Force will be approaching the Afterburner organization with an offer of buisness. The VDF is also interested in renting the specified ships from Oceéno delá Sépremi would it be possible for Oceéno delá Sépremi to specify a total price including all costs.

Because of the nature of the upcoming operation the VDF would also like to rent massive Cargo Ships and Tankers.

This is perfectly acceptable. In this case we would be glad to do business with you.

The total rental cost for all specified liners would be J-1,766,200,000.00, or roughly NS$1,916,327,000.00, per annum. While this figure may seem high, it incorporates all of the lost passenger fees per week, plus a 10% additional cost for scheduling disruption compensation. Although we are open to negotiation, we deem it to be a very reasonable price for the number of ships being loaned, especially as a skeleton crew will be included without charge unless you request otherwise. As a further incentive, we have deducted J-35,000,000.00 from the total price to compensate for the one month that two of the mid-class liners will be unavailable.

For starters, we can offer 10 An-225 Cossacks, newly-produced for heavy civilian cargo work under the Wagging Skies national airline, as well as 50 Il-86 Cambers of equally good condition for general passenger work. For ships, 10 of our Vol'nitsa hospital ships can be provided from our Navy stocks for generic medical and passenger work.

Consider these donated, or else offer what rental fee you deem appropriate; we don't feel comfortable asking a price of our own after your current stresses in the recent war. If you feel you must provide compensation, whatever you decide will be fair; only you know the workload that will be involved after all.
