The military had long awaited this day, an invasion of unoccupied Finland. There stood the Kansiov army the 6th Army Led by Genreal Amer will strike in the bold and hostile Finnish North in an Attempt to take the town of Rovaniemi. It had 300 T-80s and 4 Infantry Divisions, Down the South was led by Genreal Borogov, he had 50,000 troops and 1200 APCs along with 400 Tanks, this was to drive into Helsinki. Finland was expected to be conquered in a matter of 9 days, with no mistakes made.
Day 1
The Airforce was called up to launch a series of full scale bombardments on both the Finnish-Kansiovian Border defenses and Helsinki. These defenses were lightly guarded and were overun. The advance in the North was a smooth one, no enemy opposition until the Town of Rovaniemi. There a series of Gun fights had occured killing 16 Kansiovian Soldiers, however it was taken in a time frame of just 5 hours. Now, Amer is to lead his Army southwards to Helsinki. In the South A series of Finnish defenses tried to halt the Kansiovian advance, but in vain. These were either outgunned by Kansiovian tanks or Aircraft, by the 1st day, the Kansiovians were already 47 miles away from Helsinki.
Day 2
The Finnish Army launched a full scale counter offsenive againist Kansiovian Army. It Began when French 144mm Infantry guns fired on the Kansiovian frontline at about 7am in the morining. They Struck and struck hard. It became known as the battle of Kotka. Finnish troops Supported by Sherman tanks heroicly charged on Kansiovian positions. They carried the finnish flag while doing so, like a renactment of the Redsquare at Stalingrad. Amazingly the Finnish Airforce tried to hit Kansiovian Airfields using their French-made Super Mystres but were destroyed by Kansiovian MiGs. The battle lasted for 7 hours before the Finnish found themselves on the defensive again as the Kansiovians counterattacked and gained 8 miles on that day. The battle of Kosta was over, 707 Kansiovians and 2,400+ Finns were dead.
Day 3
In Helsinki, the Finns staged a last line of Defense. Pak38s were brought in to counter heavy Kansiovian T-90s. Kansiovian Rocket Artillery fired on the city, killing Finnish troops and Civilians alike. The two Kansiovian Armies linked up at the city it was a firece fight, it lasted for 5 hours. By then the Finnish Government surrendered and Finland was annexed into Part of Kansiov.
