Rather than flying in on a corporate jet, John Reynolds and Bill Klugman had decided to enter in the old fashioned way- flying in on an unarmed F-14. Reynolds was a more than capable pilot, and Klugman was skilled enough to handle the radio and other instruments. Reynolds put the plane into a holding pattern while Klugman called down to the tower. "This is Foxtrot Whiskey Niner, requesting permission to land."

No reply, only silence

"God damn it, let me land!" Klugman was very short tempered.

The reply for John and Bill was not one that they probably wanted to hear.

- Foxtrot Whiskey Niner, for safety reasons two F-15s will fly by your plane to make sure your unarmed. Over.

As the message had said two Eagles came up on the Tomcats sides. After a tense few minutes the two F-15s left and the radio came to life again.

-Foxtrot Whiskey Niner, your free to land on runway nine, repeat nine. Then taxi off onto to hanger deck 70-32, repeat, 70-32. Over.

The latest Phoenix Dynamix aircraft was pressed into service, fresh off the production lines. It was a single engine luxury private jet, the perfect aircraft to ferry someone like Sky Marshall Seville, head of TPM's air force.
Sky Marshall William Seville sat at the controls with his adjutant Colonel Weber in the co-pilot's seat. Seville radioed the tower and requested clearance to land, and then turned to the Colonel and asked him to check on the passengers.
In the comfortable rear cabin were his aide Catlin and two members of the press, a producer/cameraman and the famous Georgie Peterson. The two women were sitting up on the chairs chatting away as they passed over the country side, looking out the window, while the producer was sprawled across a couch catching a few z's. The Colonel cleared his throat and announced that they would be landing soon and that they should put on their seatbelts. He kicked the producer's shoulder and returned to the cockpit. Sky Marshall Seville was repeating his message: "I say again, This is Phoenix-Two requesting clearance to land, over"

The private jet landed onto runway 9. It slowed down and started taxiing to hanger 70-31. When the plane arrived at the hanger it came to a complete stop and the staircase was lowered. Princess Elizabeth walked down the stairs with the Prince right behind her.

The Princess was a young woman of about 20 years. She was a white blond and was of average height. She was wearing a red dress that ended tightly at her upper-thighs. Her stunning white legs were completely exposed. The Prince was wearing a black tuxedo with a stylish tie.

A black car appeared and the two walked up to it.

The Prince opened the door and a voice said, "Good day. I will take you to the event."

"Thank you", replied the Prince. The two sat down in the back seats of the car and closed the door. The car drove off to the event.

Air Commander Jack Paul didn't think it was fair for what guest were here to wait for others. So he made a decision.

"Lets give our guest a taste of whats in store for them," Jack said in the radio as four AH-64 Longbow Apaches took off.

The four helicopters took turns flying near the small group of guest, as they did so the pilots turn the helicopter upside down and fired off some flares. They did this for awhile until they ran out of flares. Several F-4 Phantom IIs took to the air flying in formations every so often near the guest.

They had her fitted with smoke canisters last month for this, should be a treat. PAB Blue and white, as ever. We'll be heading right out, then opening her up full pelt over the airfield. See if we can't knock a few hats off.

Anyway, let me show you guys about her.

The engines are a joint Ministry-Ypsicron ND project. Twin square pods either side. The unusual feature, is, of course, the canards. We find it allows for more stability at low speeds whilst maintaining flexibility at high speeds. The wings, a standard delta-formation for a supersonic liner. As for inside...more headroom than the Concorde, by about a foot, longer, and more spacious. This is the diplomacy bird though...the presidential one is in Hataria with the Chancelloress. Phenomal interior. Anyway, have a seat, we may as well chat. What are you gentlemen flying?"
Calizorinstan
26-05-2007, 01:58
Mike said smiling as he took a seat along with the 5 others "Well, we're also flying aircraft built and made by our country, a little company called ARDC spawned the Light Fighter Attack Project (LFAP), mind you, the goverment had no hand in it, it was all on private funding, but the LFAP spawned the F-9A Barracuda. Well, as you might imagine, our goverment thought it would be a good replacement for our F-5E, T-38C, and to some extent F-11 Super Tiger's we used. Turns out, the best light fighter aircraft that our air force has ever used, we've exported it to 9 countries beside's our own, and we still have 2 prospective customers too. ARDC generated 100 billion dollars of profit, and the program was 1.2 billion in cost's, so it is worth the sales so far. The newest country to adopt the F-9 in their air force is Hataria, in-fact, they might see action, because as you know the Blub's are on the verge of invading, so. What would you like to know about the F-9's?" He smiled and thought it was nice to meet with people from an allied country.
Pan-Arab Barronia
26-05-2007, 02:06
Bakerman sighed. "Of course. Hataria. Ruddy Blubs. Still got High Cabinet members out there. If you want to see a HSST go full throttle, watch the skies when they leave. You're looking at Mach 3 minimum. They won't hesitate to just leave it open until it's friendly airspace.

Anyway, as for your F-9s, what are they like to fly?"

OOC: I'm considering selling the HSST out to nations, if you're interested. Just need to draw some stats, find engine plans, suchlike. Will come with a paint scheme based on national colours, flags, suchlike, basic guidelines given by the buyer.

Mike said to Bakermen "That's a good question, they are quite nimble, in fact I'd say they're a dream to fly, you don't have to push the stick too far back to go up, and not to much forward to go down aways. They are the best aircraft that Calizorinstan has ever produced, and I'd say they fly better then a F-5 even, it feel's like flying a F-16/F-15 sort of, but yet has this lightness quality. Maybe before the airshow's over, you'd like to fly one? All of our's we brought have two seat's. I think your HSST is very cool, our President is considering replacing his Tu-204 VIP aircraft with a ARDC 2707 HSST, basicily we bought the right's and tooling to the Boeing 2707 design from Boeing, so we're currently making the first one right now, and the test pilot is, (nodding to John) John here, who by the way is the son of Commander Arnold, who is currently the temporary head of the Hatarian Air Force, now you know why John looks a tad pale today. How was your flight from Pan Arab Barronia?"

"Hell, the John Arnold? My God, you're a legend in the cafeteria. The antics you've been up to...hell. And a tip for flying a liner like this: easy on the throttle. If you jam it all the way forward...well...you'll feel it. You'll feel it as you pass through the back of the seat, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I'd love to fly one later on, it'd be nice to get into something smaller. I feel more like a civvie pilot flying this thing...we'll get James to take you guys up a little bit later, see how Mach 3 feels when you're sipping champagne..."

John grinned and said "What stories have you heard about me in the cafetria? I've just graduated from this college in the Scandavian Empire, and I found to my surprise that I was given a slot in the Calizorinstani Air Force, and so I did shoot down the 6 Rebel Mig's in our civil war, and I've climbed up the fighter's, from my starting F-9 (which co-incedently is what I'm flying as part of the red angels now), to the F-4F ICE model, I flew the Rhino for 2 years, and then I upgraded to the F/A-15A, and then to the D model/or block 22), and then finally, to the Mig 1.42, you've ever heard of that? Well, it's an amazing aircraft, and I've been promoted to a squadron commander now. I think your HSST is neat, I've seen pictures of it before, it's a cool airplane. I also run the Calizorinstan Airways airline back in Calizorinstan too."

"Mainly the MiG business...some of new flyboys wondered how you did it.

Sounds like you've had a lot of experience flying planes for someone so young...must be a natural talent for some. Hell, I thought I'd never get my ATP with the Air Service..."

John grinned and said "I am guessing natural talent too, when my dad had his own A-3 Skywarrior, I flew it around, and when he upgraded to a Tu-95 Bear, I flew that too. I guess I am just lucky, and talent together is a good combination it seems. I am apparently going to fly a HSST, I mean maybe yours in a little bit, but ARDC who made the F-9's ( gesturing to the Red Angel's F-9s) made some airliners too, and is making the 2707 HSST, and we might attempt to pitch it to some airlines, speaking of ARDC my father happened to be the CEO of it for the years they devolped the F-9, before retiring. What plane's have you flown in your earlier years?"

"Well, I've primarily been a civilian pilot for the majority of my career, although as part of training, I was required to fly smaller, faster aircraft. I've flown Cessna 208's, up to F/22A Raptors, F/A-15's from Cazelia, the YND Cormorant, an amphibious executive jet, and, most recently, the HSST."

John said "I've flown F/A-15's for the majority of my air force career, beside's the MIG 1.42 too. I flew a F/A-15, when the Lerasian's, when they were ruled by Romescu, detained my father's ship, so he broke out, then the whole gosh darn Lerasian navy tried to stop him, or so it seemed like, so I flew a F/A-15 Naval verison of the carrier, and sank about 2-3 ship's, and the rest, surrendered, so I've flown some combat missions in my time. The flight over here to this airshow was beautiful."

Phoenix-Two made a smooth landing with Sky Marshall Seville at the controls and slowly but steadily made its way to hangar 70-33.
Colonel Weber powered down the engines and proceeded to go through the post-flight checklist as everyone else disembarked. Seville, Catlin, Georgie Peterson and her camera man descended the steps and loitered around the aircraft until Weber was finished.
