Armed Forces
In the kingdom of SaintB is is required all men and women ages 18-21 must serve 1 year of active millitary duty and 2 years reserve duty. The Kingdom of SaintB considers itself the protector of all people in Untroubled Lands region as many of these nations are far underdeveloped or have no standing armed forces at all. Having emerged from a civil war less than 4 years ago the nation has focused its reconstruction efforts on the civillian and economic sector but now is investing hundreds of billions in creating modern Armed Forces capable of battle in the 21st century.
While well armed and trained the SaintB military suffers from lack of modern vehicles, especially the Naval Services.

Special Forces

The Spec. Ops. of the Kingdom of SaintB are known as Golden Lions. Golden Lions are trained extensively in guerilla warfare, counter-insurgency, aerial insertion, reconnaissance, infiltration, first aid, wilderness survival, and hand to hand combat; each team member is also specialized in a particular area. All members of the Golden Lions speak at least 2 languages fluently and their missions range from recon, to search and destroy, to training indigenous forces in insurgency tactics. Golden Lion specialties are Team Leader, Squad Sniper, Weapons Specialist, Demolitions Specialist, and Corpsman. Golden Lions are both male and female and part of the Land Services.

Team Leader
Team leaders are primarily trained in squad based infantry tactics and leadership. The Team Leader is the highest ranked member of the squad and responsible for on the spot tactical decisions and decisive orders in combat. When training indigenous forces the Team Leader is the primary instructor as well as liaison to the ‘Indig’ leadership; he aids in the picking of targets and execution of battle plans. Finally, all Team Leaders rise through the ranks from experience and have the skills of one other specialty; with a working knowledge of the skills and capabilities of his team members.
Cross Training: Squad Based Tactics, Leadership Skills, Diplomacy, and second specialization.

Squad Sniper
The Squad Sniper’s job is practically self-explanatory. They provide over watch and recon data to the rest of their team and are highly skilled marksmen. Squad Snipers are trained in the arts of camouflage and stealth; and unlike normal snipers they work alone without a spotter so are trained to pick their own targets. In addition to the standard gear a Squad Sniper may also carry a sniper rifle and gilly suit.

Weapons Specialist
The most common job in the Golden Lions, Weapon Specialists are trained in the use of the most common weapons found throughout the world. If it can be used to kill chances are the Weapons Specialist has used it or something similar and will have no trouble using it. Weapons Specialists also receive some training in Squad Based Tactics and are known to help the Team Leader in tactical matters. The typical team has at least two Weapons Specialists and most weapons specialist carry an increased array of weaponry into the field.

Demolitions Specialist
Demolitions Specialists are trained to look at a structure and quickly determine what kind of ordinance and how much will be needed to destroy it. The Demolitions Specialist is trained to arm and disarm explosives of all kinds as well as ways to make explosive ordinance in an emergency. The Demolitions Specialist is the most well versed when it comes to creating traps and obstacles to slow enemy pursuit and in short is really good at blowing things up. A Demolitions Specialist always enters the field equipped with about 2 kg. of plastic explosive and may have extra explosive ordinance.

Corpsman
The Corpsman is the team medic. Each Corpsman has emergency medical training and is capable of performing basic life saving surgery at a moments notice. Corpsmen by their very job are often the most popular with indigenous forces and team members alike. In addition to the standard gear a Corpsman always carries an emergency medical kit and field surgery gear.
